Love this spot. Sandwich as excellent. They were able to help accommodate my food allergies and made a sandwich gluten free, dairy free and soy free. They are a nut free restaurant. Staff was helpful. Great and plentiful outdoor seating! Parking was tight and limited but I would return!

Food : They have a few vegan options and at least one naturally gluten-free option. Their coffee was really good. I had a red velvet latte with oat milk. The hash browns I got (and reason I gave them 4 stars) were greasy and a bit undercooked on the inside. Atmosphere: It is cute and comfy inside. My friend and I were able to hear each other talk with no trouble. The music was just loud enough to be distracting, maybe because I liked the music. I can see this place being a good place to go and work and just to hang out with friends.

The arepas at Guasaca are fantastic, there are so many options and flavor combos (all gluten free, + vegan options), and the prices are super reasonable. I tend to get three different arepas, and I can typically eat two... and then I save the third for later :) The sauces are all tasty and the spicy one is the best (IMO)! I'm GF and every time I'm in the triangle I get Guasaca before my ride back to the coast - my can't miss spot.

Great Italian food. Love the garlic knots they bring to the table. Gluten free Pasta. Nice choice of proteins but works love tofu option to be vegan. Reasonable $. Eggplant stack can be an entrée, salad can be shared by 2.

Came in today for lunch, the lass behind the counter made eye contact and turned around to continue prepping something. We were the only people in line to order. Her coworker nudged her so we could order, she persisted doing something (he wasn't doing anything and said he couldn't help us) and then took several minutes to turn around and engage us. We waited for 10 minutes. I asked a basic question about the WF (wheat free) tags being different than what they show online (which is GF Gluten Free, and not the same thing, I'm Celiac) and she just kept saying I don't know, I don't know, I don't know what that is. It was awful. It was disheartening and I was embarrassed, we turned around and left.

We were next door having our windshield chip repaired and i waited till it was finished and decided to get something to eat. Saladelia was fantastic! I got tuna on sourdough (the softest i ever had) bread. The only downside is that they do not accept cash. But i just used my credit card. If you do not mind using your CC... Then i highly recommend Saladelia! Btw.. they have Gluten free options as well.

| Overview + Good variety of empanada fillings to choose from with gluten free options + Texture of empanadas is fine - Size of empanada is ridiculously small - Slow & unfriendly customer service - Makus mostly serves empanadas (the rest of its menu are boring) - Not comfortable ambiance | Review After 3 years, I decided to give Makus another chance. I went to Makus in New Hope Commons, Durham in a Tuesday afternoon, and when I entered its lackluster ambiance with cheap-looking uncomfortable high chairs, I was surprised that there's not a single employee in the front. I saw about 2 of them in the back, seemingly preparing the empanadas. I was ready to order but no one was there to accept my order. I almost left Makus until I saw the bell on the concession with a notice saying, "NEED HELP? RING ME PLEASE!" I rang the bell once, no one came; I rang twice, finally, an employee! I ordered 2 beef empanadas & 1 ham & cheese empanada for a total of almost $13. There was only 1 customer before me, waiting for her order when I went. While I was waiting, the employee who was smoking earlier outside came in and just ignored me as he returned back to work in the back. At around 15 min. mark of waiting, an employee went to the front, holding a plastic with a small takeout box inside. I stood up and asked if my order was ready, the woman just nodded without saying a word, just cold and expressionless. Finally, after about 20 minutes of waiting just for 3 empanadas, the same woman handed me the plastic with my order. I thought they were busy preparing empanadas in the back. Why'd it take so long just to get 3 empanadas ready? Out of all the empanadas my girl & I have tried: Filipino-style, Ilocos-style & El Salvadorian style in the Sabor restaurant nearby, the empanadas in Makus are the smallest. Each empanada cost about $4 (a dozen for $47 - seriously, who would buy a dozen of these?). I'd be fine with this size if the empanadas are gourmet quality with astonishing fillings and flavors, but the taste was alright - nothing special, and definitely not worth $4 in our book. The good part was that the empanadas were not doughy, so the texture was fine. The sauce that came with it was alright, and the 1 small cup is just fine for 3 tiny empanadas. When I came home to eat the 3 empanadas with my girl, she asked me why I returned to Makus after we were disappointed in our first visit a few years ago. I said that I wanted to give it another chance. Now, I deeply regret this decision. | Overall Score: 1.2/5

Amazing service from staff. Gluten-free options were noted by our server taking the usual stress out of eating out; really appreciate him going the extra mile to remind me of the things I couldn'thave as they were brought to the table for the others in my party. Highly suggest the mushroom broth. It's very flavorful but not overpowering.

We were there for a dog adoption event and I decided to try one of their ciders. I got the Tart Cherry Cider and it was really good. The location is great, but the parking is somewhat challenging to find. I love that they had a lot of ciders, since I have Celiac and am gluten free. But I would love it if some of their beer offerings were also gluten free/gluten reduced. The space itself is awesome. They have a large game room with a pool table and arcade games, that one of my teenagers really gravitated towards. And the dog adoption event with Freedom Ride Rescue was great! So many lovable dog options, from young to old, and the fosters were very knowledgeable about the temperament and backstory of each one. Overall, a great experience!

I recently came to Madhatter’s for brunch, and I loved the diversity of the menu. They have breakfast all day which is a plus! I tried the wasabi salmon bowl, with an iced Vietnamese coffee. I have zero complaints, they’ve got me hooked on the coffee now. I’ve also ordered cakes for my family member’s birthdays and they are pretty delicious. The tiramisu is a must (but then again I am biased because I love coffee). They have gluten free and vegan options for savory items and sweet items which is a must. Staff is always super friendly!

Kennedy was lovely. We ordered the fried wontons, steamed dumplings, and Drunken Whale sushi roll. The dumplings and the wonton dipping sauce are excellent. The wontons had a good ratio of filling. They look like large tortellini’s. I didn’t love the sushi but it’s a personal preference. It had scallions and the taste was overpowering. The ingredients tasted fresh despite that. The space is larger than expected and it’s very loud. It looked like a lot of business dinners and we did not see any kids in there. They have gluten free soy sauce available and the menu specifies gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. EDIT: We went a second time and tried a few new items. The miso soup was perfect. The edamame was fine but there wasn’t enough salt and they used salt crystals so sometimes it was unpleasant to chew. We tried three desserts and realized this was where the food was most lacking. The lemon sorbet was exactly as expected. The Filipino Flan was grainy and overcooked. The Flan is supposed to be more dense than traditional Cuban flan, but it still wasn’t that good. Third was a Ying Yang and it’s supposed to be a sticky rice dessert but it was more mushy than anything. Also, not enough of the liquid. Doesn’t change our rating but wanted to update and include!

Compliments to the chefs at the Goat. They're true professionals, and it's clear that they take immense pride in their craft. I dined in here the other day, and I'm allergic to gluten, dairy, nuts, fruit, and vegetables. The kitchen was extremely accommodating of my strict dietary requirements and did a good job of preparing a tasty meal. *Chef's kiss*

Really good burgers, fries and onion rings. My wife loves burgers and fries, but is super picky about them. This is the only place in the Triangle that she has where she will go. We have tried a LOT of other places. The hamburger meat is high quality and good tasting. The buns are good. They give you lots of "fixings" on your burger and they will make them to order. The fries and onion rings are freshly cut on site and are very crunchy The only down side were for her was they only offer a 1/3 pound burger, but I was happy to eat her left over. The seating is also limited and a little tight. It is located in a shopping with lots of parking. Their fries are gluten free and they have a gluten free bun or can do lettuce wraps if you are allergic to gluten.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant. My husband and our two small children have been eating here at least once a week for the past two years. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh salsa, queso, and guacamole; phenomenal tacos with a variety of tasty meats; and the nuvo bowl is tremendous if you want a salad. The margaritas are top notch, strong and fresh ingredients (doesn't taste like super sugary bottled mix). In my weekly visits, I have never had a subpar meal. But what keeps us coming back is the staff. They are genuinely the kindest people. They are always happy to see us and see our children. They bring out our chips, queso, guac, and margaritas before we order. Our children know everyone's names. My three year old specifically goes to see who she refers to as "hola Maya" who could not be kinder to my children. They go above and beyond to ensure every visit is outstanding and that is why my small children request Nuvo Taco for dinner every single weekend! Additionally, I have a gluten allergy and appreciate the labeled allergy friendly menu and have never had an issue. We have also used the catering a number of times and I couldn't recommend that more. Always on time, fresh, and excellent portions. They make sure you have all the serving utensils, napkins, etc you need. While I wholeheartedly recommend Nuvo Taco I almost hesitate to write this stellar review because I don't want to share the secret and potentially have to wait when I make my weekly visit!

Truly NY STYLE. Huge, great, thin crust slices. Wife’s gluten free pizza also amazingly good — Italian Garlic Chicken fantastic. Atmosphere funky-corner-slice shop - PERFECT, if, like me, you miss Bklyn. We only had pizza, but pasta and subs looked good. Angel, owner (also from Bklyn), could not have been friendlier.

What a gem of a restaurant. My sister got gluten free+mild, I got regular Udon+Thai hot. Flavor, heat, service all absolutely fantastic. Restaurant is clean. Highly recommend.
