Newly diagnosed celiac here. Came for the "Real Cheeseburger" on a gluten free bun and it it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Will definitely return. The staff were knowledgeable and assured me my food would be celiac safe. When it arrived to the table, we were asked first where the gluten free burger went. The sodas were good and fries very delicious!

While staying at the Hyatt, I found this place online for a friend with gluten allergies. There were many doubts and some in our group wanted to turn back as we walked there. Man were we happy we didn't listen to the naysayers! This place was awesome! The outside doesn't look great but the inside is very quaint. The staff were very nice and the food was simply amazing. Most of the group went back the following day.

This was my first time visiting the restaurant. I was in town for a wedding and googled. Having celiac and egg allergy it not always easy to find a good place with good options, but I was amazed by the food here. I went back a couple time's before leaving. This is going to be my to go spot always when in SA. Staff were great, atmosphere is very cute and friendly and did I mention the food ....it was AMAZING, so delicious, great variety , it made me like a normal person enjoying food actual regular food and not having to worry about getting sick!!! A definite win!!!

We came here to celebrate our son's 23rd birthday as well as his upcoming graduation from The Culinary Institute of America, and it was well worth every cent! We did the tasting menu and shared everything family style. The food is dairy and gluten free as well as plant-forward. That said, the braised shirt ribs did not disappoint. We left full and happy. If you're dining with someone who doesn't like vegetables, bring them here to change their mind.

Visit miss chickpeas, it looks good, it's the first time I've been there. the place is cozy. Friendly and helpful staff. A lot of variety in the dishes, I recommend it: several gluten-free options. It is a beautiful place, I like the play of its colors. It is a little difficult to find a restaurant where the portions are large and the quality-price ratio is very good, the cook is super friendly as well as the cashiers. I am from Spain and I have been eating this type of food for 12 years. An award for the person who prepares that type of food at miss chickpea I loved it!!

We had an amazing experience on Wed, 3/19/25, with server Max. It did take a bit of time to get items, like the table side guacamole. Our cart sat while he attended other tables before he made our guac. I asked if the tortilla chips were fried in a seperate or shared fryer. He immediately asked "do you have Celiac?". I do & he made sure everything was safe for me. I really appreciated that, I never felt like I was a bother because of my Celiac. The food & drinks were delicious, though on the pricier side. Max was very personable, he made the experience so great.

I was very impressed by this pizza spot. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Had the loaded queso dip, taco nirvana chicken pizza, and the mighty meaty pizza. All had fantastic taste. They even had delicious gluten-free options available for one of my neices. 😋 Can't wait to visit again.

We ordered pizza for pickup to eat at our Airbnb. We were outside of the delivery area. Food was ready on time and everything as we ordered it. We tried both regular and gluten free crusts. Both were delicious. The cheese pizza was kid approved and the anti pasta and beet w arugula salads were enjoyed by the adults. We loved the Hawaiian, ambassador and omnivore pizzas! Look forward to dropping by next time we are in San Antonio!

I came in from out of town on a business trip and naturally, had to check out riverwalk & grab a bite to eat on the water ! Here's the catch- I have severeeeeee celiac disease. Like, cross contamination sensitive. It makes finding safe eateries while traveling a...challenge to say the least. That being said, I found Paesano's via a Google search and saw immediately they had a huge gluten free menu...I called and spoke to the staff before I decided to catch an Uber there..and they made me feel so safe. Understood the allergen protocol. I get to the restaurant and I'm seated immediately- during peak dinner hours. I get a cozy little spot right on the riverwalk, perfect for people watching as I dine solo. My server, Rudy** was such a pleasure - kind , attentive and understood the assignment right away when i explained my allergen needs. He assured me multiple times before food was dropped that he spoke to Chef Raul** and told me their cross contamination precautions. Wow did I feel safe. It means so much to us allergy folks when places just GET IT. And they GET IT . Lovely vibes, personable and friendly service even during peak dinner ! For a solo dining guest ! I am happy to report I have a safe spot to visit next time I'm here in SAT.

Multiple gluten free and vegan options on the menu, very good price, good atmosphere! Very much enjoyed my bbq chicken salad even though I was eyeing up the gluten free sandwiches! They have a tangible gluten free menu rather than leaving you to decipher the main menu and our server was very knowledgeable. I am very sensitive to cross contact with gluten and I did not have a reaction. All of my gluten eating friends at the table also thoroughly enjoyed their meals :)

I’m from Houston, where there are restaurants with vegan options or gluten free options, but rarely is there a time when I can find someplace that accommodates all of my dietary restrictions. Until I took a trip to San Antonio! I was overjoyed to find a fast food vegan restaurant that also has gluten free, flavorful buns. I got a classic burger combo, which did not disappoint! My husband (who isn’t vegan/no dietary restrictions) got the earth crunch wrap and the classic jr. Let me tell you, he did not miss the meat AT ALL. We were in San Antonio for 3 days, and I ate here 2 out of 3 of them. Can’t wait to return again soon!

Wait staff ignorant about food allergies and what's on their menu--led to illness. Despite my asking specifically for a gf menu (which they don't have one for their Sunday's menu) I made sure waitress knew I was allergic to gluten and dairy. She didn't know at all what on the Sunday menu could be made gf, which surprised me, so manager had to come over to let me know. I then ordered from waitress based on manager's info and specified vegan cheese on my migas and lots of extra vegan cheese. Asked the corn tortillas be extra crispy, too. Very specific. Instead got lots of real cheese and didn't realize it til half way done eating it and after asking the manager if it was real cheese which she confirmed it was. I rarely have real cheese so I'm not used to the taste and had to make sure and ask. Also, apparently when you order crispy migas without the vegetables...they give you plain corn tortillas rolled up in aluminum foil on the side instead of cutting them up and cooking them with the eggs. I mean, seriously???? I basically had scrambled eggs w cheese and paid for cold corn tortillas on the side. Had to take benadryl, lactose pills and IB right then and now an hour later my head predictably aches and my face is still hot. Hoping I don't get the usual migraine from dairy. Great way to start a Sunday. Oh, and waitress ignored us completely from then on: no apology, no trying to make it right, no clearing table, no refilling waters-- she just waited on tables all around and ignored us entirely. We had to get up to ask for all above and even to ask for the check from manager. Before leaving I told manager she's the worst waitress I've ever had (shes got dark brown hair with purple colored ends), is dangerous to customers, and since I used to wait tables in college I know what it takes. The manager apologized and tried to make it right by removing my meal from the order and offering a gf cupcake to go (which is only reason for the high 2 stars rating), but she confirmed the waitress is NOT new. In summary, Sunday menu needs to be updated with gf info and staff needs some serious retraining on what their menu is made up of, what good customer service looks like, and the seriousness of food allergies and sensitivities. Place is dangerous until they do.

Absolutely amazing neighborhood restaurant! I recommend going at sunset for the best experience. The interior is absolutely breathtakingly cozy and sweet. Fully cried guys. And the food?! Don’t even get me started! By far the best chicken Parmesan I’ve ever had! The chicken was breaded and crisped to perfection while still remaining juicy. My boyfriend opted for a gluten free pizza with too many toppings to list. His only complaint was wishing the toppings were cut and spaced a little more evenly. Over all amazing experience and will definitely be recommending. And so lgbtq+ friendly!!!!

GO EAT HERE ASAP!! The whole experience was positive from start to finish. We made a birthday dinner reservation that we needed to push back, and the staff happily accommodated us. The hostess was very helpful and provided us with the specialty menu, which has a lot of options for gluten-free, lactose/dairy sensitive, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. We ordered the crab/shrimp stuffed mushrooms, artichoke hearts with hummus, filet mignon & lobster tail, beef steak salad, and trout. They were DELICIOUS, and I highly recommend every one of these dishes! Shoutout to our server Jonathan for making sure every need and want was taken care of. We were there past closing, and once we walked outside, we decided to take a few photos even though the lights were dim. The staff saw this and turned the lights up for us. 🥹 TLDR: The interior is elegant but doesn't require you to be dressed up, the staff is so kind, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoy going here! Their ice cream is fantastic and never fails to amaze me. They have a seasonal flavor section that gives you something extra to look forward to when going there. Not that you even need an extra push, I mean, it's ice cream! But I appreciate getting to try new flavors every season. They also now have a doggy cup, so your dog can have a little something too! The place itself is small. Very little chairs to fit in it. So go there with temperature in mind, as you may be walking or sitting outside while having your ice cream. If the place seems too packed inside for you, they have almost a "drive-thru" window on the side that you can order at. Since it's at the Pearl, you can't actually drive up to it, more like a... walk-thru? Either way, it's a nice addition to makeup for lack of space! I highly recommend going there. It's delicious, and you can even ask for samples before committing to your order. There's gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options as well! Inside doesn't seem wheelchair friendly however, but the walk-thru definitely is. I aim to go there anytime I go to the Pearl because it's such a mistake to miss it!

Delicious food. Fast, friendly service. Vegan and gluten free options! We came in on a slow Wednesday afternoon when they had just opened for lunch. The chef was there and he greeted us and thanked for coming. He's a wonderful man who welcomes you into his restaurant like it is your own home. And his food will make you feel like it truly is.

The smoothies are very delicious and you can taste the healthiness in a good way and the ice cream is just splendid. They have vegan and lactose-free options and have many flavors. 10/10! The flavors are out of this world and better than any other ice cream I've tried! They also have many toppings. My family and I went to Rooted for their grand opening yesterday and the food was amazing!! I tried the stuffed portabella for the first time and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was 🔥. We also had their legendary lasagna, which has always been a family favorite and I’m so happy my favorite soup (the Zuppa Toscana) is back on the menu!! The ginger ale and lemonade were both fresh and delicious. We finished out our meal with the ricciarelli cookies. These cookies are vegan and gluten free and are some of the best cookies I’ve ever had. Customer service is also always top notch and the owners are the best. Rooted continues to raise the bar for vegan options and remains my favorite establishment, hands down.

I got the apple pie and my wife got the blueberry pie cinnamon roll. So many flavors to choose from and sadly only one stomach! Driving north on 281 I was starving and came upon Freshii. I loved the fresh clean look and it was obviously new. The staff was very helpful regarding my dietary restrictions (gluten). The food is fresh and everything looks healthy and prepared the way I love to eat. Today i ate the superfood soup with a variety of vegetables and I added chicken. I already know my next meal will be the Mediterranean bowl! The staff was friendly and informative and it was fast. I know San Antonio will embrace this yummy new restaurant. It's a great addition to a growing 281 North area. Too many junk food options and zero GOOD food options. Until now!!

We went to BellaGreen today for my birthday and really enjoyed everything. Don’t let the buildings facelift deter you, parking in the garage is validated as well. They also cater, including gluten free options. We had: the OG pizza, a huge salad honey fried goat cheese and arugula, honey garlic cauliflower wings Gluten free, and kids pasta with Alfredo. For dessert the gluten free carrot cake and the apple crumble. Impressed with the gluten free options, overall restaurant cleanliness and great service. we will definitely be back.
