horrible service. i ordered a blueberry muffin and the person next to me ordered one a minute after. they had me pay for it and then told me they were all out and gave it to the person. this was after waiting in line for 20 minutes. the staff has absolutely no manners. if your looking for good gluten free food with good service save yourself some time and choose a different bakery. they also do a horrible job at making accommodations. i ordered myself an omelet and told them i could not eat mushrooms and they gave me an omelet with mushrooms. then got annoyed and took another 20 minutes to make me a new one. and it was undercooked and smaller than the actual serving size.

Food is always so good. My recommendation is the Chicken Coupe sandwich- chicken is flavorful and always moist, the coleslaw is crunchy and not heavy. The drinks are great, and the atmosphere is super unique and so fun!

The gluten free dairy free version of strawberry works is yummy. It's always deal-sealing when the staff are legitimately well versed regarding allergies/intolerances and understanding to boot! Would be interested in trying more of the favs on the menu next time

This is the typical situation where faddishness is giving it more popularity than it actually earns. Berkeley is prone to this kind of problem, where popularity is more a question of Insta rankings than actual merit. I stopped in twice in the past week. The first time, it was right after opening time and it was relatively empty. I was waited on by a person that later in the week I saw serving as a barista, she had an air of faint annoyance at having to actually interact and work with customers. On my second visit, today, she and her fellow barista were so engaged in their conversation for the entire 15 minutes that I was in the shop due to the long lines, that they were producing drinks at about half the speed that was possible. The line stretched from the counter to the door, and based on my former experience in a similar job, it would have been half this length if the people making the drinks put customers ahead of socializing with each other and looking cool. They almost never made eye contact with a customer the entire time I was there unless someone asked a question when picking up the drink, and often that person had to repeat the question in order to get their attention. This is completely unacceptable when you’re paying 10 bucks for a coffee and a treat. On the other hand, the young, slightly heavyset guy of color who waited on me at the register by the muffins was clearly committed to doing his job well. He tried to keep the line moving and his efforts to keep the service level high, was being thwarted by the chatty pair making the drinks, who ignored most of his questions the first time he asked them. Food and drink were 4 out of 5: the classic mochi muffin precisely as advertised, crunchy outside and mochi within. Slightly overbaked this time compared to my first visit. Iced coffee latte was excellent coffee but over sweet. Overall, the treats are unnecessarily too caloric, evidenced also by the clientele who range above the norm. The Asian food this place keeps trumpeting as its inspiration is much healthier than this extravaganza of sugar and high glycemic carbs in the mochi flour. Making a habit of this place would definitely be detrimental to your health. If they want to garner a higher rating, they need to coach the self-impressed barista staff on putting the customers first, and they need to add more options that showcase the delicacy, subtlety, and elegance of Asian cuisine instead of taking American sugar cravings and overeating, and combining them with some Asian flavors. Not recommended. In Berkeley, you have superior options for gluten-free, baked goods, and coffee.

Such a wide range of flavors from vegan options, to so many different versions of chocolate and classics this is a for sure recommend! They have a virgin mojito and passion fruit flavour that are both vegan and so delicious on a hot day. I love that this place is also all gluten free so no need to worry about cross contamination.

A delicious little breakfast spot. Although there usually seems to be a line, I was lucky and didn't have to wait. Their menu is varied but feels a bit limited, but the name says "pancakes." The hash browns are greasy for not being so fried. The sausages are delicious paired with the pancakes, even the gluten-free ones. It's nice to eat on their terrace; the weather is perfect. The service was good, although despite the place not being full, the waiter forgot to bring me a juice I ordered. I don't know if it's customary in SD, but they brought us the bill before we ordered it, which seemed rude to us.

Omg An’s Gelato is AMAZING. They start off by taking you on a “flavor tour” where you sample all of their flavors (about 6. They rotate their flavors every couple of weeks). Most flavors are gluten free, but let them know you have an allergy because they do have an occasional flavor that isn't GF. The staff is very knowledgeable. They even make their own GF waffle cones and occasionally GF cookies and breads that they mix into their flavors. I'm not kidding when I say that you will get HOOKED on this place. The first time I tasted their Canvas flavor (olive oil and rosemary with black salt- i know it sounds weird, but TRUST ME) it transported me to another dimension of complete bliss and euphoria with no worries in the world. It's no surprise that this place was awarded #1 Best Gelato/ ice cream in the country. The lines are always long- so expect to wait over 30 minutes on any given day. But it is worth the wait. They also have a location in Del Mar called An’s Hatmakers, and a location inside Petco Park called An's Athletic Field Services.

I first tried Rosemary Farm to Fork about 11 months ago after seeing all the great reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, our first visit didn’t live up to the hype—the food wasn’t quite what we expected. BUT I’m so glad we gave it another shot! They’ve moved to a new location over the summer, and it’s made a huge difference. The new building is beautiful and elegant, with plenty of seating and lots of parking. I especially loved seeing a small toy section for kids and fancy high chairs for babies—such a thoughtful, kid-friendly touch! We came for breakfast to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday. She’s gluten-free (not by choice) and vegetarian, and she was able to enjoy the avocado toast and loved it. My brother ordered the tacos and smash burger. At first, he said, “Dang, this place is kind of expensive—I hope it tastes good,” and afterward, he said, “These both taste flipping great!” All in all, I definitely recommend giving this place a try—especially if your first visit wasn’t the best. They’ve really leveled up!

Milie’s Cafe has so many options, from vegan to regular and gluten-free! I ordered the Devil’s Mess and it was packed with bold, delicious flavors. My hubby got The Usual with gluten-free pancakes and they were 🔥. We also loved their fresh, homemade orange juice, and the Blue Majik latte was a refreshing and tasty surprise. Highly recommend for a flavorful and inclusive brunch spot!

I sought this place out during a short trip to San Diego because it’s seed-oil free, is committed to using organic and whole ingredients, and has lots of gluten-free options. Parakeet Café did not disappoint. I ordered their eggs and salmon w/ gluten free toast, and the acai bowl….they were both so good that I went I ordered the exact same thing at the Coronado location later that day. The staff were also nice.

We were in town for a family emergency and looking for a gluten free restaurant for my partner. This is the MOST AMAZING place. The gluten free crepe - perfect, the home potatoes - superb, the service - welcoming, quick and attentive. Less than a mile from Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, easy to get to if you're needing a delicious meal. We will be coming back tomorrow. I cant wait to try something different. I would literally wait in the pouring down rain just for this!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Walnut Creek location of Third Culture Bakery, and it did not disappoint! As a long-time fan and customer of the awesome Berkeley location, I was excited to see how this new spot would measure up, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I approached the bakery, the cool window signage caught my eye. The colorful and inviting holographic design is a warm welcome that perfectly encapsulates the bakery's commitment to aesthetics and attention to detail. It totally sets the tone for the delightful experience that awaits inside. Once inside, I was thrilled to find all the classic treats that I’ve come to love over the years. The mochi muffins, a variety of flavors of mochi donuts, and even mochi waffles were all available, and made it really hard to choose what to get. And of course everything is gluten free! I couldn’t resist indulging in a refreshing matcha sparkler, which was the perfect complement to my sweet treats. I loved exploring the adorable merchandise on display, which adds a fun touch to the overall experience. After picking out my goodies, I settled into their outdoor seating and relaxed under the sun. Third Culture Bakery's Walnut Creek location is absolutely delightful. The combination of yummy gluten free treats, thoughtful design, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. Honestly, I don’t think I saw this place at its full potential, but I will give you an overview of my personal experience. Hopefully you can find It useful. Food: I stumbled upon Bru’s Wiffle while looking for a restaurant with French toast. This place has a number of French toast options. I chose the Honey Poppers French Toast. These are bite-size crispy chicken in housemade siracha & louisiana hot sauce. I wasn’t impressed. The French Toast was thin and flimsy. It tasted like It was made on sandwich bread. I should’ve known better than to get chicken poppers. I asked for a of chicken thigh. It was juicy and crunchy. Had I known better, I would’ve chosen this chicken option to begin with. Next, I ordered an avocado toast topped with eggs. The melted cheese is a great addition to this dish. However, I prefer sliced avocado rather than the avocado spread. My partner had the Basil Pesto Crispy Polenta Avocado Toast with egg. This is a gluten free meal. The egg is an add on to both Avocado toast options. Beverage: This place has a Watermelon Mimosa that I’ve been trying to imitate for the last four days. It was sweet and fruity. Payment: Bru’s Wiffle doesn’t accept American Express. As an Amex Gold Member, one of the benefits of the card is the 4X points at restaurants. If this was a quick order to go, I wouldn’t mind. But, on an $150 bill, knowing this sooner would’ve probably impacted my choice to visit. Overall, I think that this restaurant had some options would be pretty tasteful. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try them during this visit.
