We were six people at Scorza Nera and I have to say it was a wonderful discovery! The place is really large and well-kept, with a wonderful summer space, perfect for outdoor evenings. The menu is very rich: many varieties of pizzas and doughs, even gluten-free, truly something for all tastes. The pizzas arrived almost all at the same time (five out of six), the only small flaw was with the gluten-free pizza which, by mistake, had been served to another table. We had to wait a few more minutes, but the staff was very courteous and attentive. The real surprise, however, came at the end: without having asked for anything, they brought us two plates of desserts with Nutella and bitters offered by the house. As a Milanese, I was positively impressed: a gesture that is not seen often and that really makes the difference. What can I say? Excellent food, welcoming environment and a service that knows how to pamper the customer. I will definitely return when I come to Sicily

Amazing pizzas, spritz and vibe. Setting is stunning up above Taormina in the tree tops. Staff are friendly and service is really quick. But spenny but that’s Taormina. We came back twice in 3 days and worth it both times. I’m gluten free and their bases are fantastic

But the main gem is that they also do everything GLUTEN FREE, many types of arancini, sandwiches, chips etc... The best gluten free sandwich ever. Very moderate costs and excellent value for money. Great place to eat gluten-free in Syracuse. We ate there two nights in a row, their pizza crust is just the right amount of crispy. We loved the seafood spaghetti and the tiramisu, excellent. Very nice setting in front of the Duomo. The servers are friendly, I absolutely don't understand all the negative comments. As for gluten-free, they are competent on the subject and validated by the Italian Celiac Association. They have a separate menu with gluten-free dishes, you have to ask for it when you arrive (it's less extensive than the normal menu but there's still plenty to enjoy). The dessert menu is the same, the desserts available in gluten-free are indicated with a symbol (be careful though, you have to specify when ordering that you want the gluten-free version, the symbol just indicates that both versions exist).

They had gluten free cannolli and brioche which were individually packed. Their cannolli was so tasty. Definitely reccomend.

Very nice place. Very good pizza, even gluten-free. An excellent alternative to pizza is pasta, also made well. The staff were friendly and helpful. A detail that distinguishes them is the fact that they bring the children a paper placemat with a design and colours, in order to entertain them while they wait.

We came here because, after many days of fried foods and typical cuisine, we wanted something different (and above all with gluten-free options for me). We had a great time, the food is cooked with great care and there are many original gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan choices. Stumbled across this one night and managed to get in without a reservation after 9pm. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was so fresh and tasty, as was the local wine. We had shared the fried fresh fish to start and I had the fish of the day. My girlfriend is coeliac and had one of the best GF pizzas she’s ever had. The outdoor seating in the terrace had a great atmosphere too. Do try if you’re in Cefalù

Unfortunately, not a pleasant experience. First course gluten-free spaghetti with clams arrived all broken and with a different flavor from any spaghetti with clams. Salty bill for a series of appetizers, but that's the least of it. The waiters constantly asked if they could take the dishes away because they were in a hurry to go and close. The only positive note but also a dutiful one in my opinion as a gesture is to remove the first one that they took away whole. Very bad experience.
