Gorgeous decor with friendly waitstaff and delicious Thai fare. We had a table on the rooftop terrace, which felt nice on a cooler summer night. It was also less noisy and felt more conducive to conversation than the dining room downstairs. Recommend the rooftop if you’re on a date, or with a smaller party. The gluten free offerings were great- basically a variety off the regular menu made without soy sauce. I had the drunken noodles, and it was fresh and flavorful. My date had the pad Thai, and I loved the level of spice for the medium dish (my idea of mild). Will definitely return to try more on the menu!
Everything was a 10/10!
We had a full meal with butter chicken, lamb korma, chicken korma, veggie pakoras, garlic naan, garlic and onion naan, gluten free naan, chai tea, mango lassi, rice pudding, and ice cream.
The owner frequently walks around asking how your meal is and the waiters were very attentive and kind.
If you are gluten free, then I highly suggest stopping by this place. The gluten free naan and enormous variety of gluten free entrees and pakoras are amazing!! We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Haley was our waitress and did a great job. The food was pretty good too. My options were limited because I'm gluten free. Looking forward to trying the GF Souflee.
Been here about fifteen times over the course of the last three years, easily the best sushi place in the KC area. They have plenty of great gluten free options as well, which is perfect because my fiancé has celiac. Very fresh and delicious food.
We got there just ahead of the rush on a Friday evening. We had dumplings, pan fried, and the salmon special, along with the cheesecake wonton dessert. This was my first meal eating out since following the AIP Modified Elimination diet- I was ready to reintroduce soy/ edamame. Even with the little bit of gluten and dairy I seem to be 100% okay with this reintroduction! So grateful because our meal there was a little taste of heaven!!! Cannot wait to go back.

I have celiac disease so always looking for safe gluten free dining. Our waiter was very good about checking with the kitchen if he wasn't sure of an answer. The menu is also clearly marked which rolls and items are gluten free. Great variety and the sushi was delicious.
Wonderful portions. Fair cost. Friendly staff. Food tasted great also. My only suggestion is with the gluten free batter, either try using King Dynasty Gluten Free Tempura Batter or maybe just fry it longer so it has a crisper coating. If you can get that gluten free coating to be more crispy on the outside ill come back every single week!
The crepes weren’t half bad, but the service we received wasn’t good, and the price was a little high. I have celiacs disease, and I told the woman up front before I ordered. When I got my order, it wasn’t made in a way that caters to celiacs. They didn’t do a glove change or make any adjustments to avoid cross contamination.
The food was great and reasonably priced. There was a large gluten-free menu to choose from, and the servers were well versed in understanding a gluten free diet. Can't wait to go back!

Ordered takeout. My son loved his food. I ordered gluten free Hunan chicken. We also ordered some gluten free chicken fried rice. Our food was excellent. It can be difficult to find gluten free Chinese food so I was happy they offered gf items and that my food was delicious.
I was diagnosed with Celiacs last year and they are so knowledgeable about what dishes can/cannot be made gluten free. I’ve never had gluten cross contamination and this is pretty much the only place I get food from now that I don’t have to worry about. Despite that, this has been my favorite Thai restaurant I’ve ever eaten at!
Went in for a birthday get together. None of the staff members asked if we wanted the birthday celebration for the birthday person. No one told us it would cost extra. So the child whose birthday it was was very sad when she did not get cake like others in the restaurant. We would have been more than happy to pay the 7 dollars for the birthday treat but it was never offered. Also note that no other restaurant we visit has a pay for. birthday treat option it is usually free.
There also needs to be a gluten-free soysauce option as well as asking if there are any food allergies. I get rising costs, I dont get not even offering. Our drinks were not refilled until we were leaving. I think that is a bit late.
I picked up an online order for my family. Cute little looks to be family owned business.
I have gluten-free sensitivity. They have a small menu but will accommodate requests. I had chicken fried rice, and it was tasty! No reactions. Yippy!! Lol
My family enjoyed their food.
Large portions. Pick-up was fast and friendly. Business was welcoming. Online ordering was easy, with multiple coupons. Take a look at their online gallery to get a view of what you will be getting. Yum yum!!
This will be our new spot!!!
My wife has celiac, and they provide gluten-free options. It's hard to find Chinese food with gluten-free options.
The food was really good and it's a very clean place to eat.
Wonderful service. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was very good for my associates. Unfortunately, I bought a gluten-free meal and it was kind of bland overall. But I am very very grateful for all of the gluten-free options at this restaurant and will definitely go back and give it another try because My meal wasn't bad it just needed a little bit more. Flavor is all. That can happen when you make gluten-free meals.
Great service for lunch. Fresh, crunchy chicken for their General. A unique yet strong flavor in their fried rice. Solid selection of gluten free options. Will be back for more food.
A unique little restaurant in the heart of downtown Lawrence, it offers some ethnic variety, lots are gluten free options, vegan and vegetarian. I got the pad thai with shrimp, which was a bit different than what I've had elsewhere. The noodles were thinner, kind of sticky. The taste and portion size was good. We shared thai spring rolls with peanut sauce, which was a refreshing start. My husband had the tom kha soup, which was more tangy than sweet, had tomatoes in it, not what I would expect in the soup. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as another place we've had it. We ended with mango ice cream, which was tasty. Overall, service was satisfactory, food was good, atmosphere was relaxed.
We order from this Lulu's location often. We like that they have gluten free options. We love their gluten free Thai chili wings. I really like the diakon-carrot slaw that comes with it. I like that their spring rolls are with tofu instead of shrimp or another type of meat. I also like the mild yellow curry dipping sauce that comes with it. I took pictures of our carry out order that included the wings, spring rolls, gluten free tofu fried rice and chicken pineapple fried rice.
Downside to this place is parking is slim, which is why we tend to do carry out more than dine in.
I so enjoyed my first time at this restaurant! They made sure my dishes were gluten free and the service was wonderful. The food is beyond amazing and a delightful time was had by all. Thank you Pad Thai Restaurant!
Our server Shelby was super sweet and willing to double-check what was safe for gluten intolerance so I could enjoy my meal without worrying so much about getting sick ❤️
10/10 service!! I have celiac disease and was able to eat here because they serve a gluten free udon noodle as a substitute for the ramen noodles. The server also informed me which sushi rolls I would be able to eat, and provided gluten free soy sauce. I absolutely recommend this place, and will be back!!!!
This place has a cute vibe! My server Daniel was on point. I mentioned my food allergies and he made sure everything was made sesame and gluten free. Would definitely go again.
Ordered online. Upon recovering my order, the staff were helpful, inviting and friendly. The food however is not a must have. The gyoza was almost over seared on one side but still edible. The double pork ramen bowl had no flavor and the noodles reminded me of gluten free like texture. The bowl literally has 2 round thin cooked slices of pork, corn, half soft boiled egg, garlic cloves, scallions (that were tough paper-like and not edible), and green onion. I added an order of garlic shrimp which were “ok”. I’ve eaten ramen from coast to coast and international and this place is a 2.5-3⭐️ I saw many people lined up outside and saw the ratings and that is why I ordered here. Over priced for what you get and the taste of the food. I discarded all the noodles and pulled out as much of the corn, garlic and scallions as I could, as well as the 2 slices of pork and shrimp. 🥟 were the best part with sweet chili sauce e added to the oil that comes with it.
I have a gluten allergy and was nervous to eat here because I hadn’t since finding out about my allergy. But I read on Google that I could. So hubby and I tried it out for date night. It’s been a few days and I’ve had zero reaction. Thanks for your dedication to keeping me safe even with a long line.
If you can overcome the cognitive dissonance that arises from paying $50/pp to cook your own food, this place is good-ish. It's good in class. I'll elaborate:
Grill it yourself style restaurants appear somewhat uncommonly in the Midwest. They are more common on the coasts, while often couched in the aura of Korean or Mongolian or whatever. To like this place, you must be comfortable with the idea you are paying for the novelty of the experience. My 11 year old is; I would prefer to pay someone else to cook my food when I eat out. Moving past that notion.
For what it is, and in comparison with similar style restaurants, I had the following observations:
1) The beef dishes lacked enough flavor distinction to make higher quality cuts shine. My wife preferred the chuck to the ribeye simply because it was easier to manipulate with tongs and did not taste bad comparatively;
2) The pork belly preparation was underwhelming when it could have been the star of the show. I wouldnhave preferred a cured element or a smoked element to make the cut shine rather than taste like thin pork chops;
3) Sides and accouterments are the real sleeper-crowd-pleasers here. The fried calamari - lovely. The gyoza - yum!
4) What joker said the smores were their favorite? Really?! It was literally a basic smore. A novel idea executed with basic effort.
This place is great for a fun night out, or a more social-food setting - office happy hour, get to know you date night, birthdays, or anything involving pre-teens. I don't think it offers a particularly great value for what you actually get, but that is not uncommon for this type of restaurant. The manager told us an all-you-can eat option is coming soon, which is more in line with similar spots on the West Coast. Frankly, I didn't think it was necessary, as we were all very content with the quantity of food we ordered. The all-you-can-eat model would be a better sell for some folks at this price point, at least creating the illusion of good value.
They offer some chicken options, some seafood options, and you can make it through gluten free, excepting miso soup (which was a bit overly salty).
Ambiance was fine, but nothing special. Table service was fine; the manager was exceptional - attentive, friendly, on-it.
In summary, the food is good-ish and the experience is fun, if you are into this sort of thing. I think at this price point there is many better Japanese restaurants in the area, and I'm pretty sure they will even cook the food for you.
Lots of good gluten free and vegetarian options here and very flavorful food. I had a tasty bibimbap bowl with tofu and my aunt really enjoyed the japchae. I'll for sure be back if I'm in Salina again.
To preface I feel bad for writing this because there is a sign in the restaurant that says "we read all reviews." And they answer a majority of them. We arrived right at opening time for lunch on a Saturday. We were greeted by the entire staff waiting in line which I thought was a great touch. We ordered the pork gyoza, tonkotsu, and spicy creamy chicken. We paid before receiving food which was a mistake in hindsight because I tipped 20% before several mistakes were made with our orders. The first round wasn't gluten free noodles. The second round wasn't even our food. And the third round was ours but only one had gluten free noodles. All brought by different servers so it felt like the tip wasn't really reflective of the level of service. The lunch hour seemed rushed which wasn't as relaxing as I was hoping it to be. The pork slices were somehow cold and wasn't flavorful at all. I might consider coming back at a different time or day because I love ramen. I see a lot of high reviews so I'm sure people there do enjoy it. It just didn't hit the spot with me.

Delicious ramen! They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy and made me a separate broth and used rice noodles and brought me GF soy sauce. Self serve condiment bar is a nice touch. Clean space and good service too!
I have celiac disease, and I have eaten here twice. The food and the overall concept are great. They claim to be gluten friendly, but if you are celiac, I advise you to be weary. Cross contamination is highly probable at the sauce station (my waitress the first time I visited, was kind enough to offer to get my sauces fresh from the back to avoid contamination, my waiter on my second visit did not). The line cooks separate your food from others with spatulas and are supposed to use separate spatulas to cook and serve your food. During both of my visits, I had cooks who used the wrong spatulas to mix and serve my meal, guaranteeing cross contamination.
The food tastes great, but it's not worth me feeling sick for 2 weeks because my food allergy wasn't properly respected.
After years of not going after accepting that I had to eliminate gluten from my diet I tried BD's when some friends visited and wanted to go. They now have GF labels on all ingredients and will cook any food on request in a clean pan in the kitchen instead of on the shared grill. Years ago their allergen protocol was good-intentioned but weak. Now it's been nicely redone. The food is literally what you make if it, which was always kind of fun. However it's also still not a solid value for the meal. Have a mindset of "I am paying for the experience" and the pricing makes more sense.
Good option for gluten free ramen. I usually get the miso ramen. Service can be a little slow during busy hours. Ramen there is generally on the saltier side, but still a good option for Wichita.

The food is fabulous and a delight to the eyes. I even loved the egg drop soup which I normally just think is OK at most places. The meat in both dishes was high quality and tender. Even the egg rolls were perfectly crisp and delicious. For those interested, they have gluten free options. We will be back many more times.
Went for a friend's birthday. Most everything has gluten so I had the ahi Tuna salad with egg drop soup and cucumber, Tuna and salmon sushi appetizers. It was good, I'm just not a sushi person.
