Bunner's Bake Shop in Kensington Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious vegan and gluten-free baked goods. They offer a wide variety of treats, from cakes and cookies to bars and other desserts. I was particularly keen to try their pies, but unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we arrived. This speaks to their popularity, so I'd recommend arriving early for the best selection. Despite missing out on the pie, I was still impressed with the other options available. I especially enjoyed their date squares, which were both sweet and chewy.

In my humble yet educated opinion (18 years celiac ) this is the best bakery I have ever eaten at. Great options for the dairy free and vegan eaters as well. From the ease of ordering 2 loaves of olive bread to the warm friendly atmosphere at the store my experience was perfect. I walked in expecting bread and left with so many sweet and savoury treats. Great little store for products as well. If you’re in the area for work or for a holiday and have special food needs this is the place to check out .

I decided to try Bloomers since I can't have gluten or dairy. I gotta say it was pretty disappointing. I got a few cookies and one was raw inside the middle and overall very under baked. The cookies were all very bland. The pistachio matcha didn't taste like anything. The best one was the red velvet but it was still not that good. The carrot loaf was good but the icing could have been better. The quiche was good considering it wasn't egg. I've gone to a lot of gluten free dairy free spots and this was definitely lower on my list and I won't be back. I wish the gluten free donuts weren't preorder. It's hard to find gluten free donuts and I don't need a whole pack of them.

Seeing the unique name of the cafe and the fact that the cakes were vegan made us visit this place. Though there is less seating place inside, there is a large patio at the back. I wonder how this space would be used during the winter season? We ordered a coffee and a chai along with some cakes and we were not disappointed. The chai was excellent and tasted like desert. The cake was dense and tasty. Not overly sweet. I wish it was a gluten-free one. The service, too, was good, and we had fun chatting with the baker+ server. This place seemed popular as quite a few people were dropping in to have their coffee and some savory items. Unfortunately, the cakes we wanted weren't there, hence the selection was less.

I love this treasure of a coffee shop/bakery on Bloor. It is a combination of an old fashioned coffee shop with old fashioned pricing and atmosphere with modern gluten free offerings. It is so unpretentious and authentically '90s that we cant help but cherishing it for what it is! We've only tried drinks and snacks, but they also offer other foods which we will try very soon.

I've been here a few times for brunch and to get their pastries. There is some seating inside but the patio is much larger. I got one of their bagel sandwiches (big new Yorker) with a side and it was pretty average, they didn't give me much salmon. Price was on par with a nicer brunch spot. I've also had their chocolate croissants, it was pretty big and inexpensive, but nothing special. They have gluten free and matzo (kosher) options too Service is ok

Our wedding cake from CakeStar was perfect! The consultation process was so helpful - Monja gave us great suggestions to ensure the cake could be exactly what we needed, and gave us the confidence that it would match what we had in mind. The semi-naked style looked wonderful, the chocolate cake & raspberry filling was delicious, and the communication was easy. We also got a vegan & gluten-free chocolate cake with raspberry filling to match and our guests LOVED it! We still get so many great comments months after the wedding - thank you Monja! I ordered cupcakes and cookies from The Sweet Escape for my wedding in the Distillery. They were an absolute delight to correspond with, very organized and even suggested doing special matching wedding sprinkles on all my different cupcake flavours for no extra charge. Also I was so happy to find gluten free, vegan options for my guests with dietary restrictions. I would order through them again in a heartbeat and not to mention our guests loved the desserts, they were delicious!

For 2, we didn't have to wait long. The table was small so couldn't put food and drinks around comfortably. Server was nice, but a little slow and forgot we ordered the drinks first. My food was delicious. I would recommend the Chicken Riesling. The dessert were great sizes and tasty. The gluten-free most popular dish (whatever it was called) was disappointing. Free bread, but the prices were overall overpriced. Free bread!

Honestly worth waiting for. We waited around 30 minutes on a Friday night in May and it was fire. The mango pudding, toasted pineapples, and totaro (taro) are delicious. The miso cherry was wayyyy too salty and not good honestly. The cookies smell amazing! And they have gluten free cookies too. The line actually doesn’t move as fast as I’d expect it to. At 8:45 they had only run out of 2 flavours.

Fantastic Italian bakery. Tons of options for lunch, pastries, and bread. Everything is baked fresh in front of you and you can see their large selection. They have a few gluten free biscotti options as well. The interior has a very nice ambience and is great to relax in for a bit but there is no wifi if you are looking to work there. I got a flat white and it was very nice as well.

I should probably go on and on about how good the bakery is and why you'll get lost within the desert menu never to be seen again, if you're able to make it out of the parking lot - almost requiring a mini cooper chauffeured by Jason Statham. There are a few places in town with great custard tarts - albeit not necessarily with the kind of pizza dough quality that might risk a necessary jaywalking ticket for crossing the road - or not, depending on your gluten tolerance. So keep Jason Statham tied up at home and walk over to San Remo on a hot summer day to experience the greatness of an iced coffee espresso capucino. I grew up with the Tim Horton's version and with all due respect to the captain of the donut industry, this thing is outta this world good. Bon Apetit!

I had the pleasure of visiting a charming cafe in Weston this past Sunday morning, and I can't recommend it enough! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was incredibly warm and welcoming. I tried there hazelnut latte, and they’re gluten-free cookies and they’re amazing Supporting small businesses is so important, and this cafe truly deserves the love. Oh my gosh! This is a hidden gem. Some of the most unique and tasty baked goods. They have lots of savoury baked goods plus gluten free options that are delicious. Which is so nice to find. I love any of their cinnamon treats like buns and the brioche swirl. I also got the toasted pecan brown butter oatmeal cookie - that was loaded with cinnamon - on the dryer side which I prefer to dip in a coffee. Honestly pop by this place or make an order. I originally had tried their goods at coffee shops but I love visiting the source.

I'm always searching for the perfect croissant, look no further. The chocolate croissant with almond and custard filling is amazing. The croissant is so flaky and buttery while the filling is perfect balanced touch. They also have these incredible gluten free macaroons. If you're a fan of croissants this place is a must visit.

I went to the hospital for a mistake they made!!! My family and I went there for the first time to eat desserts. I'm allergic to gluten so I googled it and saw that they have gluten-free options. When my husband ordered a Cheesecake the guy told us that he believed he didn't have that flavour so my husband ordered a different Cheesecake. When they brought the desserts they told me the gluten-free for me would take a few minutes. Yes, a few minutes later they brought the last slice of Cheesecake, so I thought it would be mine. When everybody finished, the waitress brought a slice of Cheesecake claiming that it was gluten-free. So, the slice that I ate contained gluten, it was a regular slice of pay!! Supposedly, they did have the slice that my husband asked for at the beginning and they charged it to the order without letting us know. I was disappointed, I told them since the beginning that I was allergic to gluten. At midnight, I was at the hospital in urgencies because I was really bad for the gluten I ate. The guy in charge only said to me that it won't happen the next time. Yes, it won't be a next time because after the terrible night I had at the hospital I won't be back. I do not recommend the place, they do not care for their clients.😡😡😡

Julienne's looks and feels like MAGIC! We rented the space out for a bridal shower private event and it was a dream come true. Jess, the owner, went out of her way to customize our menu. She baked gluten free cupcakes, quiche, cookies, cake, and more. It was so good no one could even believe it was gluten free. She also, on our request, sourced halal meat from a local grocer for a charcuterie board. This was so thoughtful and helpful for us and we really appreciated it. The quality of the food is also on par with the excellent decor and staff - the coffee/espresso is very strong in the best way. You can tell they use excellent quality beans. The decor is perfect for an event, with floral wallpaper, a cute serving set up, fresh flowers and more. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and made everything so easy. They were so open to ad hoc things we needed like an extra display table, and so very kind and hospitable to our guests at the event. Literally nothing went wrong and the bride-to-be was over the moon with the setup, food and general hospitality of the staff at Julienne's. Don't sleep on Julienne's! This is a gem in the neighborhood.
