Another amazing hidden gem in Glasgow.
Was up for work and went with a colleague and if you didn't know where it was you could walk past.
So glad she took me here as food was amazing and so much of it
She us gluten intolerant, and they have a whole separate menu for her and so much choice.
I had tge buttermilk chicken in southern fried bread crumbs with salt and pepper fries.
All I can say is food was amazing and great service and atmosphere, even for a Tuesday night.
If you're in Glasgow and want a chilled atmosphere, with amazing food and service, this is for you. And if you like spice try their own hot sauce and it deff is HOT 🔥

Best gluten free pizza in Glasgow by a royal mile. Staff and service are beyond awesome and superior cocktails. If you haven’t been to strip joint then what are you waiting for?
I had a great time at the Left Bank! Came on my own for brunch. Full gluten free and vegan menus! I got the eggs mornay, amazing! And best gluten free bread I have ever had! Very nice people, very cosy atmosphere! I truly recommend it!
This place was fantastic, got the last table available for breakfast. They have a full gluten free menu which covered just about everything I could want. I ate a mushroom Benedict which was delicious. Staff super helpful and friendly.
I'm gluten free and the meal is had was smashing my non gluten friendly unfortunately can't say the same, he had enchiladas and they where packed full of rice, I know they can be made with rice but this was all rice and small cubes of chicken not very appetising looking, real shame as heard great thing about it.
Update on an earlier post. This time we dined in the Bath Street entrance version. Saturday lunchtime. Restaurant was very busy yet staff pleasant and helpful, willing to chat and discuss the menu options for a Coeliac member of our party. I was surprised another of the party had a dairy allergy which added to the complications of menu discussion.
Starters arrived, looked and tasted great.
My own main course a Pizza infernale was huge and delicious. Much better than the cardboard box variety from supermarkets. One of the main reasons for going out for a meal. Properly cooked stuff from professionals.
Other members of the party joined in with the delicious notation. Chicken wrapped in ham, summer salad, garlic bread extras shared about the table.
We enjoyed the meal and the chat. The atmosphere was very good too. The only issue as the restaurant was very busy, it was also loud and at time the discussions went unanswered or we missed the point in the story.
We had our first trip to The Bungo on Friday night and managed to get a table without booking. It’s a friendly spot and we were all impressed by what we had - goat’s cheese salad, pulled beef tacos and chickpea burger - and good portion sizes too. When we got there they asked if we wanted a gluten-free or vegan menu and were attentive throughout. Delicious food cooked to order - will be back to try out the brunch menu!
We went for an early dinner and were seated quickly. They have a dedicated gluten free menu, but the menu and staff make clear that there could be cross contaminants. I got the Buffalo cauliflower, which was great. Then the Dan Dan noodles which they offer with gluten free noodles. I was brought a massive amount of angel hair pasta with hardly any sichuan sauce. It was disappointing and did not taste good. I didn’t let the server know because I didn’t want to have to eat what was brought to replace it. May return for drinks and music but probably not for mains.
The staff are super friendly and professional. Which makes the atmosphere. Gluten free friendly and even have a kids menu. Feel I made the wrong choice picking two curried dishes when wanting the Scottish fix but was in the mood for fish and both came with curry.
Had a hen do for 20 people on the 12th April.
Preordered gluten free meals for the coeliac bride and the other coeliac members in her bridal party. The food we preordered said it was gluten free and it was made very very clear that specific members were gluten free. We had been in the restaurant around an hour and a half before we were told that all the food that was ‘gluten free’ on the allergen list wasn’t actually gluten free. We had to practically beg the servers to feed the bride something on her own hen do! We had to go to the bar to order our drinks because no one came over for a drinks order and no one cleared our starters or our main courses and the people in our hen do party didn’t even get the deserts that they preordered before the server put our bill on the table and walked away! On top of all that, they had the cheek to leave the service charge on the bill after no plates got cleared and no orders were taken! The food on top of all that was horrific, never had worse macaroni cheese in my life! Not a single person had a nice meal and our bride was thoroughly let down and barely ate anything after the only reason we went to turtle bay in the first place was because we had heard good things and their gluten free options were good and they weren’t even gluten free! Never had a worse meal in my life. Ruined the brides hen do. Don’t ever go here. At least the staff were nice enough and did what they could to rectify the situation but not enough to save it.

Fantastic! Popped in as I am working in Glasgow. I’m gluten free and the menu is great - good choice of starters and deserts. Steak was fantastic. I was served by Shannon - great service
We had to ask 3 times if we could put our food order in and then it took 45 minutes to come which is annoying when trying to get to a gig.
The non-gf food was good, and it's great they have gluten free pints but some issues with the gf menu.
They don't say on the menu but the fries are not gf, only alternative is a side salad which seems a bit mean. My friend ordered a burger and fries from the gf menu. They asked my friend if he was intolerant or coeliac. He is coeliac and was told they can't serve him the fries because they don't use a separate frier and they have a "duty of care". This should definitely be flagged on the gf menu, or at least offer a better/carbier alternative than salad.
Ordered 2 takeaway slices this evening and they were both delicious! Excellent place for coeliacs as the gluten free pizzas are cooked in a separate area/oven to avoid any cross contamination. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the pizza had a great flavour and texture - the white pizza with potato was incredible! And they have ranch! Looking forward to dining in next time as the atmosphere inside was really great too 😃
This is THE SPOT! Friendly, warm, and approachable, with immecably elegant, inventive, and inspiring food. Flavor profiles are incredible, served beautifully. The people LOVE FOOD, creating it, sharing it, and experiencing it. There are selections to meet everyone's preferences as well. In fact, every dish has a code, with all major dietary restrictions next to it; dairy, nuts, gluten, and 11 others, so you know exactly what is in everything. 10/10 this should be on everyone's list 🥰
Had a very enjoyable meal. Great gluten free choices if you are a coeliac so a real treat. Curries cooked to perfection! Ali very welcoming, great service and many thanks for the free starters. Highly recommend a visit when in Glasgow.
Excellent.
Lovely meal.
Excellent service
Nice atmosphere the restaurant was very busy .
Gluten free grub arranged and menu at my wife's place at table.
Reasonable price.
Asked for a seat at the bar and this was arranged .
All in all Excellent
A lovely dining experience.
Good for gluten free diners.
Returned after 20 years as diner and it was as good as it was then.
Service and food are among the best in Glasgow, great wine selection and relaxing environment.
A la carte was chosen and had lobster and hallubut for mains, soup for starters. Both meals excellent.
One of the best spots in Glasgow for a laid back pint. My partner and I love going in to try a different beer from their selection each time.
Also enjoy the pizza - they offer a really nice gluten free base.
Have ordered on Uber Eats and the gluten free pizza is amazing! I have coeliac disease, and I didn't have any issues from cross contamination so it's great to have a safe place to order pizza from that takes allergens seriously. The goats cheese pizza was particularly delicious! Thanks to the staff for taking great care with preparing it 😊
Amazing wee traditional restaurant! Myself, my mum and my 2 year old son had lunch here for my birthday and the food was delicious and the service was great! Our server had reddish hair (I think her name was Tracey as our bill stated) she was welcoming, attentive and great with my son. It was our first time trying this place and I’ll definitely be back! My mum is also gluten free and they are great at accommodating allergies!
I have been there twice.
EXCELLENT.
Truly exquisite dishes, very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
One of the best restaurants I have visited ever!
Gluten free options available.
Stepping into this restaurant is like being transported straight to Türkiye. The ambiance is authentic and inviting, setting the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
The menu is nothing short of exquisite, featuring a variety of traditional Turkish dishes that are rich in flavor and beautifully presented. Each dish we ordered was a culinary delight, bursting with unique and tantalizing flavors that left us craving more. Additionally, the restaurant offers a commendable range of vegan and gluten-free options, ensuring that everyone can find something delicious to enjoy.
Their drink selection is impressive, with an extensive list of cocktails to choose from. Although I opted for beer, I was pleased to find they offer Efes on draught, a renowned Turkish lager that complemented my meal perfectly.
The service was exceptional, thanks to our waitress, Marta. Her warm and attentive care made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, patiently explaining the dishes and helping us navigate the menu, which was a blessing since it was our first foray into Turkish cuisine.
Overall, it was a delightful experience that I highly recommend. Whether you're a fan of Turkish food or new to the cuisine, this restaurant offers a taste adventure that's hard to beat. With options for every dietary preference, it truly caters to all.
Had a Valentine’s Day Date here! New cocktails are delicious and food never ever disappoints - good portion sizes and reasonably priced too. Staff tonight were wonderful too - Sophie, Leigh, Sasha and Dean were so friendly and provided amazing service to myself and my partner.
A restaurant you must visit, they’re great for vegan, veggie and gluten free menu items as well (which are actually very tasty too!). Will definitely be back 👍
We ordered six tapas between the two of us and were very happy with the food. There was a complimentary basket of bread (still warm, and served with garlic butter) which went very nicely with the hummus we'd ordered.
There's a decent mocktail menu and the veggie selection is excellent, even if you dislike aubergine (like me). I think most of what we ordered ended up being gluten free by accident too, so it's worth a look if you have a gluten allergy.
I'm glad I found this place and will definitely be back.
I didn't try the food, mainly went to see the mural (which was beautiful!) and while we waited to be taken to see it we had an alcohol free beer. I was very pleased to see they offer jump ship which is also gluten free and 0.5% :)
The pub itself is also a lovely space and I would happily come back for a proper pint sometime.

Can't praise the hotel enough, booked last minute due to a previous cancellation with another place and I am so glad we did as this hotel was fantastic.
Firstly we checked in an hour early and got an upgrade for 20 quid for a better room which was a great size and bed was really comfy.
Called room service at about 1.30am and they were happy to help, guy was really polite and professional and we were more than happy with the service we received at check in and out too.
Had breakfast included which was also excellent, well cooked and served pretty quickly.
Add to this the fact that my wife is Coeliac and the hotel were happy to cater to her with GF bread etc
If I had a complaint it would be the lack of bed side plug sockets as I travel with a Cpap and had to stretch out the PSU to reach halfway across the room.
Other than that absolutely fantastic and a great location between the hydro and some great local eateries and bars.
The pizza dough was delicious but the "cheese" topping spoiled it. I had a vague memory of The Glad going fully vegan from a couple of years ago, but that was only about five minutes after they'd started doing pizzas and I wasn't sure if they'd changed again, as the menu simply offered pizza with "sausage" and "cheese" while the specials board listed "fish cakes". Why pretend it's something it isn't? It's peculiar because I imagine a place like this would have no problem highlighting if a dish had gluten or nuts in it, but I am none the wiser what the bizarre mimicry of Red Leicester that my pizza was covered in - or my friend's fake fish cakes - consisted of.
A large group of us came to The Butchershop for dinner. Our friend, who got married that weekend, had recommended this place as he frequents it with his (now) wife!
It was superb. The wine was incredible, the food came out at perfect temperatures, and the wait staff was attentive and accommodating. We did stay back for an after-dinner drink; we moved over to the bar area so they can seat another reservation. I had an Old-Fashioned and it was made perfectly!
I have to say, their onion rings are delicious!!! There's also vegetarian and gluten free options available, which is lovely!
The barman was excellent, my friend is celiac and he had found him a few beers that he could have , and one of them was was the House Porter , we had 5 pints each and with no affect for my friend the next day .
Excellent service.
Very disappointing first visit. Had been meaning to visit for a while and finally decided to stop in. As a coeliac your options are incredibly limited, with the only dishes that can be made gluten free are those that can easily swap out normal bread for gluten free bread (and chips). Of which there is a £1.25 fee. The only milk alternative they have on site is oat milk as well. I ordered the duck leg & nduja hash, fried egg with sour cream (£14.95). This also came with a piece of toast. There was very little duck meat in the dish and it was shredded which wasn't mentioned on the menu. Another thing that wasn't mentioned was the sheer amount of cabbage that was mixed into this dish. The toast (£1.25 extra) was ice cold, the portion was small for the price and the dish itself was very oily. For the price I would be expecting more, especially considering the full breakfast is almost the same price (20p in the difference).
My partner ordered a cappuccino (£3.70) that came in what seemed to be a flat white cup. Incredibly small size for a cappuccino especially considering the price. He also ordered the breakfast bun (£9.50) with the black pudding being the only component that wasn't cold upon arrival.
The layout of the menu was also quite poor and due to design choices it was difficult to read in some places. Also the online menus prices are not correct and are slightly increased in the restaurant.
Overall we were disappointed as we had high expectations going in. Despite the decor and atmosphere being impeccable the aforementioned issues let down the establishment for us.
Was in at the weekend for a gig. And must say I was very happy with the place, being Coeliac I liked that they have a range of gluten free food and drink. I even talked to the chef, kitchen is adjacent to the bar, and he and the rest of the staff seemed full understand food allergens.
Will be back
Pretty nice restaurant. Unfortunately my celiac relative didn't have many good options for gluten free (the GF bases for pizzas are bought in). But if not GF the food was nice.
Disappointed with the service. We were a table of 8, had booked for 7.30pm then server asked if we were ok with the food coming out as it was ready, so some of us didn’t order pakora, as it was the pakora came out first with a time lag to the main course, one of our party was gluten free and their dish arrived well before everyone else’s, and all the ‘main’ courses arrived at 9.10pm. It didn’t seem particularly busy. That said the food was lovely but there was a wait.
We had good service and good food at a reasonable price. Restaurant did well on providing information on gluten free options. Only criticism was that not much space between tables but a minor issue all things considered
We hadn't booked... the owner found us table in 15 minutes.... great service... great burgers... gluten free and dairy free options... i would heartily recommend Tibo
