Nice place on the Savannah River for a good southern meal. We enjoyed all our food but the highlights were the Spicy fried shrimp, the fried chicken and the chocolate mousse cake. The atmosphere is a nice experience. Every staff member was super welcoming and happy to help. The biscuits and whipped potatoes were very good, but a friend and I shared 2 entrees: a shrimp & scallop pasta and a salmon dish. Neither of us finished the shrimp because it was overcooked. Our expectations were high because of the restaurant's reputation, but the main courses did not live up to that at all.
I should've said something at the time because our server tried hard to help, but I didn't want to be difficult. Another friend at the table had said she is gluten-free and still was served a sauce with her steak that had gluten. The server was very apologetic, but it was surprising that there was no alternative other than "we weren't supposed to bring out the sauce."

Imagine ordering and waiting an INSANE amount of time for the food to come (not even a crazy order, should not have taken even half that time) and the ONLY request to be leave croutons out of the Caesar salad because someone was celiac. So after all of that time, it still comes with the croutons. Called to let them know and they didn’t offer to do anything to make their mistake better! Honestly I probably dodged a bullet because half the pizza came without sauce and looked disgusting so the salad probably wouldn’t have been better but thanks to their lack of understanding I guess I’ll never know

One of the best meals I've had in Savannah and also one of the most reasonably priced. They also went out of their way to make sure my friend's meal - even her cocktail - was gluten-free. The tuna ceviche was excellent, and the she crab soup was some of the best I've ever had in the South. John, who was also busy making cocktails, was our attentive and personable waiter.
