As a long time customer of True Food Kitchen - for more than 4 years - what initially interested us was the healthy non GMO, Gluten Free menu that does not use unhealthy seed oils (like Canola/Rapeseed Oil) in its food preparation. Since then, True Food has made some slight changes to its menus, including the use of controversial Vital Farms products as well as changes to its gluten friendly pizza dough and hamburger buns, however the one thing that has NOT changed - and is the best part of the restaurant: its employees. Ask for Chantal, Yuyu or Aaron - those are three of the best restaurant professionals you will ever meet! Their can do attitude, combined with their amazing ability to connect with customers is the REAL secret weapon at True Food Kitchen on PostOak. My family can eat at any restaurant in Houston, but we choose to eat at True Food Kitchen on Post Oak because we are always given excellent service and shown kindness when we eat there. Every restaurant should figure out how those three team members work, and copy it exactly - as a customer you leave having had a good meal, and GREAT service. Kindness, always served with a smile - and if there is any problem at all with your order, they are always quick to rectify the situation. You will never sit around with an empty glass of tea if you are being served by Aaron, Chantal or Yuyu. They always put the customer first - which is why, as long as they are working at TrueFood, we will always eat there! Give it a try - and ask to sit in their sections - you will have the best dining experience ever! Thank you Chantal, Yuyu and Aaron!!
Very good food, place and people. My wife has a severe allergy to gluten and took really good care. Kudos to Katy who helped us :)
*I hope I have the correct name for her. Sorry if I'm wrong LoL
Food is good but pretty loud inside to have a conversation however we went on a Sunday morning and it was very busy. I like the gluten free options for the pancakes.
What a great place to eat and visit. We had a party of 8 and were taken care of very well. Our waiter, Joshua, was polite and patient with a family group ranging in age from the early 80s to the mid-40s. The food is delicious, and the portions are as large as the menu. Seriously, review the menu before going to get an idea of what you want. They do have a gluten-free menu available as well.
It's loud and boisterous, as a deli should be, with great caricatures and old photos of celebrities on the walls. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly and gracious. I highly recommend a trip to Kenny & Ziggy's for anyone.
We had a family dinner here before heading to a local event. Service was prompt and friendly and the food did not disappoint. Also appreciate that my gluten free family members can easily find a menu item or two.
Their tuna salad is off the charts good. They have gluten free bread options which is awesome. The fruit’s always been fresh and the dip is amazing. The salad bar selections are delicious. To top it off, you can get free ice cream every time you dine inn. Overall, I’ve always had a great experience at this Jason’s Deli. Stop by and eat here, if any of you reading this review are in the area!
