Absolutely incredible every time! My spouse and I make the long drive up from Cincinnati, Ohio every couple of months just to experience the joy of an allergy friendly breakfast! We are both cross-contamination sensitive celiac, as well as having some other odd (and common!) allergies between us, such as apples, eggs, and peanuts. Anna's House handles this all with no problem! We have never had a single reaction eating here. This time we had the pleasure of meeting Sharlet, who came out to our table to personally deliver our food, reassuring us that everything was safe, and even listed some of the ingredients for us! She was incredibly warm, kind, and happy to get to know us, as well as incredibly knowledgeable about the food she was serving us! Anna's house has separate preparation areas as well as the cutest little 'ALLERGY' picks that they place in your food so you KNOW it's safe! Thank you anna's house, but especially thank you to Shar, who made us feel so welcome and safe.
My spouse and I went out for dinner on Friday night and were pleasantly surprised with how amazing our meal was. He has a gluten intolerance, and there were so many items on the menu for him to enjoy. I loved the mushroom strogonoff, and our drinks were delicious.
Delicious food and cocktails, friendly service, casual but elevated atmosphere. Very accommodating of allergies/gluten free. Solid choice for friends, family or date night!
Had the best tapas paired with the best service from Derick, our waiter. Loved that they had a gluten free baguette with pesto, and all of our food was delicious.
The only thing I was disappointed in was the size of the check afterward. We ordered the Chef's feast thinking we would save money, but if you have to eat gluten-free like I do, you have to order the premium appetizer and premium entree, for which you are charged extra. Our bill was $94 for 3 people and we ordered the Chef's feast for 2. We will not do that again! The food was excellent and the service was very good. I just didn't know it was going to be so expensive.
First visit here was several years ago on an overnight stay for a concert. Today I had to go back because that time was so good. Today I went and sat at the bar for brunch the staff (all 4 I encountered) were friendly and helpful answering questions and making suggestions that made my visit amazing. I went for this avocado toast gluten free with added egg and coffee, followed up with a citrus drink they mixed for me (not cocktail) that was the perfect refresher after the delicious meal. 10/10 recommend going here when in Grand Rapids, it is a super adorable yet smaller space so try to go outside the typical meal times or be patient and willing to wait. It’s worth it in my opinion.
Came here for Father-In-Laws birthday, and was not disappointed! Food was absolutely delicious with plenty of gluten free options for my partner. The drinks were thoughtful and well priced, and had us wanting to try them all. Last, but definitely not least, our server Kailey was amazing! She was very personable, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We'll definitely be back!
What a place! Jamie is an excellent waitress that makes this homie restaurant such a pleasant experience. Chocolate milk was divine, gluten free bread was even better. Will be returning!
Good pub with a nice burger and fries. Service was a bit lacking, though nice.
- Big Easy: Half pound standard burger ordered medium and got it medium. The burger was juicy and cooked the way I like it. The rest of the burger was fairly plain and not much else to write home about. The cheese was not melted much. I saw it had mustard and no ketchup, so I freaked and asked them for ketchup instead of mustard which they did.
I thought the burger was a little overpriced compared to the many of the other places I have visited in the area. If it were that good, I wouldn’t have a problem paying the price, but it was too plain to charge $16 and only get chips.
- Fries: I upgraded to the fries. They were again fairly plain, but done right. They are medium sized steak fries with a good fluffy center and medium softer outer skin. They stayed warm until the end and were cooked just right.
- Crispy Brussels Sprouts: WOAH! Powerful taste. There are several well balanced flavors that were nonetheless screaming for attention on this dish. I do like brussel sprouts and these were great, but a bit too much.
That said, the parmesan was added as large shavings rather than grated which gave a great texture. The bacon is always a nice touch. The sherry gastrique was very sweet and powerful. There was a sour flavor to it as well that hits you at first, but settles down as you become acquainted with the initial shock. I liked it and it is worth trying. You’ll have to be the judge, though. It is a unique flavor.
Not on the menu, but they have gluten free buns. Also, their Barnyard Burger was listed apart from the other burgers and I missed it. Their menu needs a bit of organization.
They also have Shepherd’s Pie. Maybe I’ll come back and try that some time.
They also list specials on their website. They are mostly drinks, though. I do see occasional specials for food listed on their Facebook page.
- Service: We were greeted at the door immediately and seated at a booth at our request. However, that is where it seemed to go downhill. We looked over our menu and were ready to order and waited a good while (it was NOT that busy). Finally, I ended up sticking my head into the isle and being served by someone who wouldn’t have served us otherwise. Waters were finally brought (though never refilled) and our orders were taken. When served, it did come in a timely fashion, though. Paying also took a while. We had the credit card on the table for a good 5 minutes or more waiting to pay.
BEWARE: The tip by default is 25% when paying by credit card. I didn’t notice until it was too late, especially since we were trying to get out as soon as possible since it was taking too long. I would NOT have tipped that much for our experience. Lesson learned.
- Atmosphere: The booths have hard wooden backs, but cushioned seats (a bit worn, but not bad at all). The wood is warn down I think on purpose. It gives it that old-world feel they boast of. I felt like we were in Ireland or Scotland. There is a decent amount of old-world decor and the main of the inside is dark wood. It was overall comfortable in spite of the wooden backs.
The music playing in the background was almost imperceptible. I could not hear it unless I really listened for it. Talking to my wife was not an issue and I appreciated that.
The bathrooms were a tad small, but were okay. My wife mentioned the women’s room was a bit unclean, but I didn’t think the men’s room was bad.
To call this place a “gastropub” (according to their Google Maps description) I think is a bit of a stretch. I think it is more of a pub with a slightly greater emphasis on the food than a pub. Maybe somewhere in the middle. I am guessing they have been around for almost 14 years (November 5, 2010 according to their Facebook page).
Visited on a Friday night 7-8 PM. It was not terribly busy for a Friday and there were plenty of staff on hand from what I saw. Even a couple of the cooks came out for a few minutes.
Love this place overall. On this particular visit, we had a little trouble with some of the food. The mahi-mahi was very dry and the shrimp was over crisp on one side. Still juicy inside though. They also prepared us a to-go item that was supposed to be gluten free but apparently flour was added to the sauce during prep, which is not the norm. They acknowledged this when they brought it to the table, but it was late and they didn't have time to make another batch. Instead they made up for that by pro bonoing the takeout dish as one of us could eat it. Some loud diners at a table next to us that seemed to want the attention of all the tables around them. Our waiter was above and beyond, making a positive difference in our overall experience.
Added our name to a waitlist on a Saturday - we were 20th in line, but it seemed to move quickly. We ordered Smash Burgers and Build Your Own Breakfast. Burgers were great and the breakfast was cooked to order, they have a handful of gluten free and vegetarian options too. Everyone was pleased with the food and we got a big chocolate chip cookie to go from the bakery. The service was friendly, but absent. When we were seated, we waited 15 min before anyone greeted us or took our drink orders. I assumed they had forgotten about our table and that feeling continued throughout the meal. Overall we had a nice brunch, seems like a good restaurant for families, friends, and couples.
This was our first time at Morning Belle and it didn’t disappoint! Our waitress, Kenzie, made great suggestions for us to try as well as accommodating me at a table that would be more comfortable for me to sit in. She was attentive to our needs and was patient with our questions. Her food suggestions were spot on! Everything came out hot and delicious. The cinnamon roll was the perfect first starter and could easily be shared. I love that they had Gluten Free bread that tasted like regular bread and my omelet, The Hummingbird, was light, delicious and plated beautifully. We will be back again for this morning treat. Thank you Kenzie!
Visiting out of state and Hope G was a great server! Nice kind and answered all my questions regarding dietary restrictions. Most places say idk and she went out of her way to get my questions answered. It’s hard for me to eat to other places but this definitely hit the spot! Most gluten free toast are really thin and over price but the toast was nice and thick not too costly either. It’s hard for gluten free toast to be toasted but this toast was good. Some places don’t even toast the bread which I find not appealing since the bread is soft and turns to mush. The potatoes are a bit over seasoned but I rather have it over seasoned than taste like nothing. The portions are a bit small but if you get an avocado toast with two eggs and the potatoes it doesn’t over fill you. I hope they offer turkey bacon in the future :) Thanks for the service! Made my day :)
Food is outta sight. Service was top notch. We ate here two mornings in a row. Would have gone there again if we stayed another day. My daughter is vegan and gluten free, and this was the best two meals she’s had in long time. She was giddy with the menu and the food, as we all were. It was fun watching her choose what she wanted and then devour it, knowing it was prepared with care. Two thumbs up.

We really enjoyed this spot. The ambiance and service were great. Love how you can get a waffle any time of the day, especially a gluten free waffle! My favorite out of the love me tender, ol’ blue eyes, and hashtag (all were ordered gf) was the love me tender. If you are a peanut butter lover like me you have to get this one!
This local shop really checks all the boxes. The space alone is great. Very charming and cozy, definitely a place that makes you feel welcome. I was shocked at how many drink options they offer! I'm an adventurous eater/drinker, so I love experimenting just as much as I enjoy the classics. I needed caffeine in a bad way, but otherwise I think I would've tried one of the many tea lattes or even a shrub beverage! Everything looked great. The latte I ended up deciding on was excellent.
Bonus points: they stock quite a lot of goodies, and many (all?) are local, with lots of gluten-free options. There are dairy alternatives for the drinks as well.
With my little to no knowledge of the area, I can't officially say West Side is Best Side, but I'll definitely make a point to stop back here on my next drive through!
We used Nantucket for our cutting cake at our wedding and mini cupcakes for our rehearsal lunch. We had lemon cake, Raspberry filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. We needed gluten free as well. Let me just say they HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK with the flavors!! HIGHLY recommend them. The service we received was top notch as well.

Very eclectic atmosphere (lots of fun colors, a variety of framed pictures, and plants) with a menu to match. Party tried the bobcat burger, loaded tots (totchos version) and the grilled fish tacos with a side of fries. The totchos were amazing (someone had fun creating those!) The burger was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The grilled fish tacos were tasty (fish was a little bland but the toppings helped a lot). Fries were cooked well (nice crisp on outside and soft on inside) and had great seasoning.
They do have multiple Vegan and gluten free options on their menu and also cocktails & mocktails.
Overall we had a great experience (Daniel’s service was terrific and they have Coke products which is a huge plus!)
Very thoughtful, comfortable, and efficient business. We had a really positive experience overall and will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town! Recommend for vegans, vegetarians, folks who are gluten-free, and anyone who wants good food, coffee and conversation or a pleasant workspace.
Delicious food: My partner is vegetarian and got the brunch wrap. I’m vegan and got the resolution. Both were delicious and filling. Also the brown sugar coffee was SO good.
Cozy, calming atmosphere: Good music at a good volume for both conversation and working on your laptop. Good natural light. Very clean.
Efficient: We had the perfect amount of interaction with our waiter. Food and drinks came quickly. We paid through a QR code on the receipt.
Bonuses: Gender neutral bathroom had a changing table stocked with wipes and diapers. Also loved that they leaned into the “penny” theme.
Great place! Modern cozy with nice lighting! Food was fantastic (well Prepaid & seasoned), fancy drinks were delicious. Busy & hustling. Nice vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy free options if needed! Would recommend a reservation esp on busier days and larger parties. Was able to acquire via their website/Toast app and was seated immediately at arrival of reservation and already had a kids place with crayons all set up as mentioned in reservation. HIGHLY recommend the Maple Cinnamon Roll. Ordered 1 start, and took 2 home to go! They were that good. 😏 Worth the hour drive from Kalamazoo. Will definitely go back!
We ate here with a party of seven, four adults and three children the first time prior to a show at the nearby devos performance hall. We enjoyed the food, but what stood out was the friendly service, and excellent care from Sam and Theodora. They were attentive, kind, and friendly to our children. We had a great time and hope to be back.
Restaurant was clean including restrooms.
Nice decor.
Drinks: 4 of us for lavender lemonade and loved them. My husband got a Paloma and enjoyed it.
Food: GET A BISCUIT. They are dreamy. We also enjoyed the rest of our meals including a kids burger, the filet meal, the gluten free pork, and a chicken sandwich. Too full for dessert but also opted out because of no gluten free desert options.
We’re likely to be back next time we’re in GR and want good food in a casual, family friendly atmosphere with nonalcoholic good drinks.
This place is dangerous! i live upstairs and probably go here way to often, and when i dont go here for my morning coffee i feel like im missing out. the pastry's are delicious! even the gluten free vegan ones, which is hard to say from other places. and the coffee is a delight, made with love every time. hearts in the foam even in a to go cup.
Excellent food delightfully service zero grease on the food. Great for low-fat food eaters, dietetics, gluten-free eaters, and people that need specific items not to be in their food.
Very healthy satisfying meals. Homemade muffins made daily very very good, yummy
Highly highly recommend for a very satisfying meal any time of the day.

As someone who is plant-based, I really appreciated their Gluten-Free & Vegan menu options., We received excellent customer service. I was highly impressed with the atmosphere and branded aparrel. Overall, Forty Acres is one of the coolest atmospheres West Michigan has to offer.
I have always loved Clean Juice for having healthy gluten free options. My mom and I decided to try the gluten free bread instead of the wraps, and it is all crumbly and broken, even before attempting to eat it. I’ve had these sandwiches before, and they are always toasted, yet they came cold. For $30, absolutely outrageous
BEWARE IF BUYING '''GLUTEN FREE''...THEY USE THE SAME GLOVES FOR ALL THE PASTRIES...

I went here to ask about custom cookie orders and they were super helpful! I also had a gluten free cookie while I was there and it was extremely good. Very moist and flavorful. Can't wait to go back!
Visited for the first time today, it was a great experience! The ladies at the counter were very friendly. I ordered a Masala chai, and she warned me that it is spicier than most chais, which I was all for, but I appreciated the warning. It was delicious! The kitchen for lunch didn't open for another 5 minutes, so I looked around at local artist's displays, and local goodies they had for sale. It was also nice to just sit in a comfortable chair and wait for my food to be brought out to me. I ordered the farmers wife sandwich on gluten free bread, which had great flavor. Generous on the goat cheese and avocado spread. All in all - excellent experience, can't wait to be back, and will probably spend more of my lunches here!
The view and setting at Blue Water Grill are stunning and stylish, and they always have creative options for a gluten free entree. We went on a busy Friday evening, excited to try out a new entree that was listed as GF on the website. Sadly when we placed our order I found that the item was not actually GF. The server was extremely apologetic that the website was incorrect and suggested some other delicious sounding options. After placing my order, the head chef offered to make a GF version of the item I originally wanted and it was so delicious I had tears in my eyes! The food was outstanding, and their service was above and beyond!!
Good food and good service. My food was lukewarm, but we had a huge group, so that's probably to be expected.
They have gluten free toast, which is great for the people with celiac in the family.
My fiancee and I just had our first visit to this place, and it was phenomenal! Food was 10/10, atmosphere was quiet and cozy and comfortable, and the service was prompt and friendly.
We both got coffee beverages as well as food, and presentation and taste were both incredible!
They were also able to cater to my partners gluten allergy, which is a huge plus for us!
Only slight downside is that it is rather pricy, but I am happy to support a small local business when I can afford to!
A healthy and adorable place for a quick bite! The mood bowl is my favorite, I love there are so many gluten and dairy free options. Plus the staff is always helpful and takes their time with your order. This is truly an experience.
I came here for the gluten free options and did get glutened. The waitress was not at all knowledgeable about gluten and reassured me multiple times that the ‘cookie’ in my milkshake was gluten free, but it was made with wheat flour. Proceed with extreme caution if you are highly sensitive to gluten or have celiac.
I like their gluten-free burger buns and drinks but miss the old menu. The pulled pork burger they had was great. I hate cherry anything so the menu has gotten smaller for me. The one on division st in GR wanted to keep the old menu and was forced to change it by corporate. I really hate the new menu.
I'm happy they have a Gluten Free menu but they still got multiple things wrong on our order and didn't correct it very quickly so we could eat the rest of our meal warm.
Unfortunate.
The menu is dairy and gluten free friendly. The tacos were delicious! We did not have to wait for a table on a Monday but in other nights the wait is so long. I recommend trying both salsas.
