Not safe for celiacs. Had a gf pizza - which was very good - but still got glutened. Developed a very bad dermatitis herpetiformis the night after. Not safe
Absolutely terrible experience...1/1/25. 6 15 pm.
Been told crepes are gluten free, maybe there are, but staff is using the same spaluta for flour crepes as well.
Cross contamination.
Asked with no ice cream, they put ice cream.
Take, away crepe is impossible to eat (strawberry and pistachio), as the fillings were are the bottom, and the crepe fall apart due to ice cream melting.
Returned to staff. No refund.
Please avoid.
Such a fun burger place. I was a little skeptical at first that they could prevent cross contact here but they have an open kitchen and I watched the whole process. They changed their gloves. Cleaned off the flat grill (although they don't put any buns on it anyway). The fries are also safe and cooked in a dedicated fryer.
The food is amazing and teally good for people who are gluten free or Dairy free. The staff are some of the friendliest and most cooperative employees I've ever met.

Every now and then you walk into a restaurant that blows you away, and this was one of those occasions. To be honest, we were just looking for a quick place to eat and ended up finding my "new" favourite Thai restaurant.
The wait staff are efficient without being pushy, they let us know about the dishes and the best thing of all is that ALL the food came out at the same time and piping hot. Too many restaurants send out food one dish after the other and often the first person has finished before the last dish arrives, but not here! This makes it ideal for large groups.
The food was absolutely superb with the highlights for us being the fried pork belly, snapper puffs and red duck curry. You absolutely have to try the Pandan donuts, wow, I'm going back just for those!
They also have a great range of drinks and good range of craft beers.
Another highlight, although not applicable to us was the large range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes, many if which tempted me as a dedicated carnivore.
I loved this place, joined their membership program and I will most definitely be going back again real soon. 5 Stars hardly seems enough for what was an excellent experience and one of my culinary highlights so far this year!
Well done Chat Thai, you have a new convert!
This restaurant has a gluten-free menu. The staff manager, Demitri, was a friendly person who greeted me in Japanese. They also have a happy hour in the early hours.
Had a great lunch, staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating for Coeliac disease and related GF requirements. Service, food and atmosphere was outstanding.
The absolute best. We had breakfast here two days in a row and the service and food was impeccable. Also had gluten free options for our coeliac daughter. 👌👌
Pleasant place with excellent view.
Good pizza, fast, punctual, attentive service, I would say excellent.
Great attention to people with celiac disease, in particular we thank Jennifer, the excellent waitress!!

I think my partner and I had incredible food here.
The quality and flavors are great, they are very respectful of coeliacs and the cuisine is naturally mostly gluten-free. Amazing and very friendly service as well, and gorgeous views. Thank you.
I think I would undeniably recommend.
Dined at Ho Jiak town hall several times, including a few lunches. And in my opinion is the best of the Ho Jiak group (although the oyster clay pot rice in Chatswood was delicious.
This Friday, it was my last stop before heading home from a very long Friday lunch.
The family requested Ho Jiak for dinner and I obliged with some take away.
The service is always friendly with a good sense of humor. The food is fast and incredibly tasty.
My regular dishes are XO puppies with crispy vermicelli noodles, barramundi with ginger and shallots or chilli sauce and the vegemite short rib- phenomenal.
Some of these dishes are gluten free, which is essential for my family.
If you are looking for something different.
Something you cannot replicate at home and will have you craving weeks later, go to Ho Jiak Town Hall.
The service, cocktails, food will keep you coming back.
Delicious gluten free scones in an opulent setting,on the gallery level, overlooking the shops.Delightful ambience, good for people watching and excellent friendly service.
Pizza not safe for celiac despite the reviews on here as there is major cross contamination. Speak to staff as they are knowledgeable and were able to offer an alternative which was delicious !
Nook is my trusty go-to local cafe for lunch and coffee catch-ups with work colleagues and business contacts. Most recently, I hosted a team lunch with 15 people at Nook. The Nook team were super helpful arranging pre-ordering and speedy food delivery to our table. They have an extensive menu full of delicious meal and drinks options and are great at catering for dietary requirements, specifically gluten free, lactose free and nut free. I'll definitely be back in the new year!
Disappointing given the $1,200 bill. Service was slow—we waited 45 minutes before being asked if we were ready for food, and drinks took 15 minutes to arrive. Despite paying for 10 people after a last-minute cancellation, the portions for 9 were lacking (e.g., minimal bread, small servings of chicken which was pink, and a shared dessert). A gluten-free guest, despite a month's notice, received almost no food but still paid full price.
Additionally, beer prices weren’t listed, and staff could only give a vague price range ($12–$20), which is not in line with consumer pricing regulations - should be reported to ACCC
Upon providing the above feedback, management used security footage to confirm the exact pieces of bread and chicken provided..... be so fr
Ordered the lamb salad and a pizza with chips to share. We asked for the chips to come out first but the lamb salad came out before they did. So we asked how long the pizza would be as one of us had our meal and the other didn’t - waiter said he’s asked them to start making it now…! Second visit here and I had the lamb salad last time which was beautiful and huge. This time, the salad was still lovely but was definitely almost half the size. Don’t know if we’ll be back. The gluten free Portuguese chicken pizza was very average.
The best takeaway Mexican food available in a consistent format and quality in a wide variety of locations around the city. Love the tortillas they use, plenty of gluten free options. Just so easy.
Delicious food and great atmosphere however can get quite busy and have your table forgotten about. The staff were super kind when we brought up the delay and were very apologetic.
Would recommend for the delicious food including gluten free options

Came specifically for the gluten free dumpling options. Both delicious and so nice to have gf options for steamed dumplings. Nice wine list and lovely staff. I came for lunch just as they were opening. Happily recommend here.
Absolutely disappointed with the $35 Prawn linguine pasta. It was VERY watery and the Linguine noodle was overcooked, no taste at all. Not even an exaggeration. 4 prawns and watered down pasta is not what you are expecting when you pay $30++. Definitely the worst pasta I have ever seen and tasted. Avoid at all costs. Although service provided by the wait staff was good. Hopefully they improve the quality of the food being served. They do offer gluten free options on the menu. However, was not able to try it. Will not be coming back.
We recently held our wedding reception at Kitchen by Mike, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the start, communication with Ellen was a breeze, and they were incredibly accommodating with all our requests, including a gluten-free and vegetarian menu. On the day of the event, everything went smoothly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was delicious and received numerous compliments from our guests. They also couldn’t stop praising the service, as the staff was super helpful and ensured everyone’s wine glasses were always topped up. Thank you so much!
My mother and I had a lovely experience at Adria bar restaurant today!! Laura is a wonderful and attentive server who made sure we had everything we needed. There was multiple gluten free options and Laura let the chef know about dietary requirements so they could be more careful with cross contamination. The portions are well sized for the price of the meals and there is spray bottles situated on tables for any pesky seagulls 😆. Overall a very lovely experience!
Amazing experience and incredible food tonight at Jordan’s which catered to our dietary requirements (celiac). A very small hiccup occurred with the wrong main being brought out, however the manager was extremely apologetic and corrected the mistake immediately. A new dish was brought out within 5 minutes and we were offered a complimentary beverage which we happily accepted. Exemplary service which we highly appreciated. Will definitely be back in the near future!
We came here in a large group for a celebration, had the banquet and a great time. Excellent food and drinks, and they catered amazingly for our vegan, gluten free and nut allergy members. Highly recommend!
Second time I've visited here as part of a function, with the private back room. Staff are friendly and helpful, menu had great gluten free options and overall everything was extremely tasty.
A wonderful dinning experience as we were visiting. Sydney. Staff were wonderful and fully understood my coeliac disease and accommodated me. Delicious and grateful for the meal. 😃
Really nice spot for morning tea looking out over the water. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful.
They have a number of gluten free options, and their cake portions are definitely generous!
They have a variety of milk options, but no lactose free.
My new favourite city cafe! So awesome to find a cafe that does really good gluten-free food. The wattleseed coffee was amazing, am gonna go back for more before long!
Thank you but no thank you. I found the service at the bar and dining room very poor. It’s very disappointing experience especially when I had regarded Gowings B&G and QT Sydney, as a trusted venue - being a regular hotel guest and regular events customer (had my daughter’s 21st party at StudioQ)
Upon arrival, we alerted the MaîtreD that we will be at the bar prior to our 7.30 dinner reservation- asked them to alert us at 7.30. 7.30 came and gone, no one alerted us if our table was ready, we had to chase them. The bar experience was poor, with drinks ordered not served until we moved to the dining room. It was a very long wait.
The booking was made with notes on gluten free and nut free requirements. Our server had to be alerted of the critical notes, once again indicating your process lacking in customer consideration which could have been very dangerous outcomes.
Let it be noted that the mains were not served at the same time, leaving some dishes getting cold whilst we waited for others to be served. The pasta dishes were mediocre and tasteless. They were overpriced for the portion size and poorly executed. Once again disappointing kitchen service.
When it came to settling the bill, the staff announced that the restaurant does not allow split bills. Firstly, this was not noted on our booking confirmation and your staff rudely insisted that it was. (No, it was not). For such a big group like ours with a $800 bill, it’s one mighty credit facility required just because your restaurant fails to provide a service for group bookings. It was also rudely explained that most “young” people nowadays just transfer funds to the payer - which we all took offence to.
Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing leaving us feeling robbed and deceived. Such a bad experience is hard to forget and we will not be future patrons nor will we recommend the venue.
I got the gluten free avocado on toast and really enjoyed it. The gluten free bread was very nice. They also confirmed I was intolerant and not coeliac which was nice. They also gave me a serrated knife for my bread! Fantastic touch and more cafes should do that.
My husband had the chorizo and potatoes and really liked it as well. I found my peachy ice tea could have used a touch more sweetness. My husband said his coffee was great as well.
Pretty quick for how busy they were as well. Atmosphere is dark and cosy and a bit on the loud side. Would recommend.
We loved the food and the friendly attentive service. Came with a vegetarian and a gluten free person and both had plenty of options. Had a great Greek wine as well.
Dropped in while walking to another cafe further from the hotel and so glad we did! Great coffee and the B+E burger was perfect with smoky bacon and just cooked egg on a soft toast bun. Gluten free toast with smash avocado kept my wife happy and she loved the “head cold” juice hit the spot. Fast, efficient service and spotlessly clean. Will come again.

Great breakfast buffet with many different choices: pancakes, French toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, baked beans, hashbrowns, potatoes, truffle mushrooms, breads, pastries, cereals, fruit, salad, yoghurt, veggie and fruit juices, dumplings and pork buns, gluten-free baked items, etc. You can order barista coffees, omelettes, fried eggs, sliced avocado, or oatmeal with your server.
The price is high of course, but cheaper than some of the other hotels in Sydney.
A couple times we had a server forget to bring a coffee we ordered, but not a big deal.
My client who is vision impaired and also has an intellectual disability requested that we have drinks at this cafe. I am celiac and cannot eat anything on the menu as a precaution so I brought out my own snacks which I didn’t think would be a problem as we were already paying customers. The waitress serving and seating us was a kind young lady, however after a little while a male employee who I’m assuming is the owner or manager aggressively told us we can’t eat our own food here so I had to put it away. This startled my client a bit and made the whole experience very awkward and we left as soon as we finished our drinks because we were so uncomfortable. I used to work at a seafood restaurant in Rouse Hill and never told my paying customers they can’t bring their own food if they had already purchased something else, let alone talk at them in an aggressive manner. As aesthetically pleasing the whole waterfall/rainforest motif is, we don’t think this is a very friendly or accessible establishment, especially for people with strict dietary requirements.
If this is what people call good service, I feel sorry for the service you have received. Asked for a minor change to breakfast, which was adding gluten free bread, which they advertise as having, and was told sorry they cannot do it. Is this cafe from the 1980s??
