Their entire menu is gluten-free except for breaded items. The calamari is also gluten-free because it's breaded with chickpea flour. Excellent service from the front-of-house staff.
Came for breakfast on a quiet morning in June. Oh my goodness, so so so good. The kind of good where I immediately went home and looked up everything I had to see if I could make it. My only wish was that the gluten free bread was the Arabic bread mentioned in the menu rather than chopped corn tortillas, but still very nice to have gluten free options.
Dear restaurant, what is the kind of bean and vegetable salad in the breakfast and how do I make it? I'm still thinking about it, so healthy and fresh and filling!
amazing service they did really well for my dad who is gluten free they offer gluten free beer pasta and pizza and i really enjoyed my crepe and the ice cream was gorgeous i’d highly suggest coming here when you’re on holiday or live in the town
Four people had dinner, and everything was incredible.
The Nefertiti salad, the pizza, and the raw vegan lasagna were all great gluten-free options with no cross-contamination issues. My companions also tried the burritos, which came with potatoes, and they were excellent in both quantity and flavor.
All accompanied by delicious sangria!
A great option if you have dietary restrictions and also want to eat healthy without it being boring.
We will definitely return.
100% FOR Celiacs!
We ate at the movies. All gluten-free fried foods, delicious seafood and very good quality. The homemade cheesecake is delicious too.
The attention is impeccable, they control the gluten issue perfectly. They offer gluten-free bread and beer.
A much better restaurant than the surrounding ones in terms of hygiene and comfort, without a doubt, and at the same price. I leave you the ticket.
Thank you for making it possible for us celiacs to enjoy a day in Calpe!
Great place specializing in gluten-free dishes.
The food was exquisite and the service was very good yesterday.
I loved the octopus and bravas.
I would add another gluten-free dessert (there was only couscous or fruit). Otherwise, a 10.
Perfect place for celiacs. The food is delicious and there are no contamination issues. Plus, they're very friendly, quick, and attentive. Few places serve you this well, despite the hustle and bustle. They're all professionals.
We were there three years ago, and they had gluten-free dishes. We were there yesterday, and it was nothing like it. Now it's a place with a variety of greasy, low-quality food, with no gluten-free alternatives. It's run by Chinese staff who weren't able to take proper orders. The place is full of dogs, even though signs prohibiting them are posted on the door. They don't write anything down, and when they come in, they don't even remember. If you're looking for gluten-free dishes, DON'T COME. If you're looking for a pleasant evening with good service, DON'T COME. ALL THE PHOTOS DISPLAYED IN THE REVIEWS ARE PAST AND THEY DON'T CURRENTLY HAVE ANY GLUTEN-FREE OR CROSS-CONTAMINATION.
A HEALTH INSPECTION WOULD BE AWARE.
For me, in the town it is a reference since it has gluten-free beer, the menu also has dishes that are gluten-free, a plus in its favor that they told me that in a few months they would have a griddle just to make dishes for celiacs. . It seems to me that they are moving towards progress little by little and even though they are in a charming little town they have a vision of the future. Thank you !!!
Very good food at a good price. Vegan and gluten-free options; there are few places like this. Plus, the staff is very friendly. We'll definitely be back :)
We found this place through Tripadvisor and it was a success. Restaurant with a large terrace, very delicious and original food. The attention of the waiters...incredible. We went for lunch one day and dinner another... And everything was very, very good. They also have food prepared for celiacs. 100% recommended
Highly recommended restaurant!!
I went to lunch with a friend, and with two starters and the set menu, it cost just over 30 euros for both of us. The menu is super complete and varied, the service was top-notch, and we left feeling stuffed. The croquettes are a must-order, and the chorizo in cider were spectacular. They also adapt the entire menu for gluten-free options!!
I will definitely return!!
Special mention to the treatment received.
We were able to have dinner in peace since they take gluten intolerance into account! It is to be appreciated.
We will return.
The place is beautiful!! The decor is incredible. We went for lunch and it was very quiet. At night, we walked by and it was quite busy. They have very pleasant background music that allowed you to carry on a conversation perfectly. The food is 10/10! The entire menu is gluten-free, except for one of the desserts. They also have gluten-free bread, although the gluten-free bread they offer is incredibly delicious! The staff is super friendly! We were served by Paula and Manolo, two very nice people who made our meal even more enjoyable.
My partner, the little boy and I went to dinner this Saturday, there was no table but they prepared one for us while we were taking a walk. The service could not have been better, they treated us very well, the food was very good and at a reasonable price, the best thing is that the menu is gluten-free and my partner who has celiac disease appreciates it very much. Thank you very much and we hope to return when we are in the area
We went thanks to the recommendation of celiaquita.com, looking to enjoy some gluten-free pancakes/crepes and... wonderful!
They explained to us how they worked and are very careful with the issue of cross contamination.
There are many options for pancakes and crepes (sweet and savory), smoothies, slushies, etc., for celiacs.
We opted for two gluten-free crepes: death by chocolate and another customized to taste. Delicious!
Thank you for thinking about the celiac community and for doing so well!
The food at this Italian restaurant pleasantly surprised me, especially the gluten-free options. It's clear they take care to offer well-prepared options for people with intolerances, something that isn't so common and which I highly value. The variety and flavor were top-notch, and it's undoubtedly the place's strong point.
However, the overall experience was marred by slow and unprofessional service. It took between 45 and 50 minutes from the time we sat down to the time we received our food. I understand that it was a bit busy, but not enough to justify the delay. The most disappointing thing was the treatment by the employee, Rosy: she was slow, unpleasant, and even defiant at the end of the meal, as if she wanted to kick us out. In fact, it was necessary for the owner himself to intervene to ask her to serve us, otherwise we'd still be waiting. She also kept complaining loudly about everything, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere.
It's a shame, because the cuisine is promising, but customer service urgently needs improvement. I would only return if certain attitudes in the service changed.
If you thought eating gluten-free meant giving up the pleasure of a good pizza... that's because you haven't yet crossed the doors of Infraganti. This place isn't just a pizzeria: it's a sanctuary of flavor, an oasis for celiacs and food lovers alike.
From the first bite, you understand that no games are played here. The gluten-free dough—light, crispy, perfectly golden—is a masterpiece that rivals (and surpasses!) many traditional versions. And the ingredients? Fresh, local, treated with respect and creativity. Each pizza is a declaration of love for the palate.
The service is on another level. The Infraganti team not only understands dietary restrictions well, but they embrace them as a gastronomic challenge, and overcome them with flying colors. Friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and an irresistible aroma that accompanies you from the moment you enter until you leave, floating with happiness.
If you're in the Vinalopó region and don't come to Infraganti, you're missing out on the best gluten-free pizza in the entire region—and possibly the country. And if you don't need to eat gluten-free, come anyway: your stomach won't notice the difference, but your soul certainly will.
The food is good, but they portray it as having gluten-free options, but there are few. In fact, they only have one type of gluten-free pasta and no pizzas.
The pizzas look good but are bland, with few ingredients.
The Caesar salad is very large and tasty.
Everything is wonderful. From the service, atmosphere and friendliness. If you already have celiac disease, it's a ten, being able to eat without fear. All very good
One of the best gluten-free places in Alicante. The meat is always spectacular. I recommend the chocolates (like fritters) that are gluten-free, and the dessert is the chocolate cake! The attention is always great
We made a reservation for dinner at 10:00 p.m. At 11:10 p.m. we still had nothing to eat on the table.
People who had arrived half an hour (literally) after us had already had their dinner. Our faces a poem when we had been empty for an hour.
The “appetizer” that the waitress recommended that we order (because she warned us that dinner was going to take a while, to whet our appetites) theoretically consisted of a roll with aioli, we accepted, but we told her that a gluten-free option was possible and we agreed. He said yes.
To our surprise when the “appetizer” arrived it was the base of a gluten-free pizza with oil. They charged us 9 euros plus 3 euros for being gluten-free, plus sauces for a separate €2.50.
So the appetizer that we weren't even going to order cost 14 euros because it was gluten-free, when the menu said that each roll was €1.50. I say those things have to be reported.
We had ordered a pizza, which we didn't even feel like eating anymore thanks to the unexpected appetizer (which, as I said, turned out to be another pizza) and it turns out that the entire base was burnt, black and sticky. You can already imagine the taste. We didn't eat it.
The only saving grace was the baked macaroni, and they were nothing extraordinary either.
In addition, the pizza and macaroni each had another surcharge for being gluten-free.
In short, we left quite disappointed and feeling like we had thrown our money away.
If you are celiac or gluten intolerant, don't be scammed.
Lovely staff
Lovely food
Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by whilst enjoying some delicious seriously filling pancakes and gluten free pancakes available ....fab
Wonderful in the treatment and in the preparation of homemade products. The croquettes, delicious and gluten-free, I have celiac disease. They have a menu, but we wanted to eat a poke type dish. Great! A super extensive letter. I'm a water person, but my husband ordered an Altea beer and was delighted.
In 2019 my wife and I (both celiacs) were in Alcoi and discovered this restaurant. Since then we have been regular customers and go 2 or 3 times a month. It seems that in 2024 the restaurant will have a new address. The quality is significantly lower, our favorite dishes are not available and the prices have doubled! We are very sad about this turn of events, but our favorite restaurant has lost us as customers. Pity! Our favorite and only great gluten free restaurant in the metro area has forever changed for the worse!
It's a place where we always like to go. The staff was friendly, efficient, fast, very good professionals, we calmly let ourselves be advised by them. Perfect atmosphere, pleasant, cozy... My daughter and I went to have pancakes for breakfast one day, the best I have ever tasted, considering that I am CELIAC, and the coffee was delicious. Today we returned to eat, everything was delicious, the dessert was spectacular... and GLUTEN FREE. We will return!!! I recommend it to you👌🏻
I ordered a gluten-free pizza and they contaminated the entire pizza, it was not gluten-free, and on top of that they said it was gluten-free all the time.
We came in to the restaurant with high expectations, since they had a detailed allergen list and had some gluten-free options and it looked very nice. The decor is 10/10.
However, I wouldn’t go here again. Why? Because this is not Mexican food as I personally know it. No, I’m not Mexican, but my friends are and when they cook for us, it’s different, mainly: more flavourful. Maybe I asked for the ‘wrong’ dish, because I see many positive reviews, however, if a restaurant serves a dish I believe it should be tasty.
The melted cheese I had was great, the stuffed jalapeños were not amazing, the chilli con carne was bland and not spicy and the tostadas that I had were fine (see photo) but not great. A bit bland as well, under salted, no spices etc.
The service was very friendly though. When I asked for some lemon to make my dish more palatable, it was served. They were friendly too, but seemed a bit stressed/rushed at times. Prices were good, only the jalapeño portion was on the smaller side.
All in all; the restaurant’s atmosphere is cozy but the food they serve seems like a less flavourful European adaptation of real Mexican food. Gluten-free option are great. It’s possible that it’s to your taste, but certainly not to mine. In my opinion, it’s better if they create a smaller menu with dishes the people are enthusiastic about.
A 10/10 experience! We ordered the set menu, which was perfect value for money. We had a great meal, and it was DELICIOUS. For those with celiac disease, there's a LOT of variety, including breaded dishes and everything. And on top of that, the service was wonderful, accompanied by the best views.
100% recommended.
We ate here as a family whilst on holiday in October, amazing food, amazing service, highly recommend. My daughter is also a coeliac and should could eat everything on the menu apart from the breads.
Excellent service, as was the atmosphere. We were treated very well, but our food was also good. They offer gluten-free bread, and dishes can be modified if you have any intolerances. The only problem we noticed was that the scrambled eggs with baby eels and shrimp were more like potatoes than eggs, and the "shrimp" was actually prawns. Everything else was great. They also brought us a salad we hadn't ordered with the cuttlefish, which was a very nice touch.
Came across Claddagh from a search for Gluten Free Pizza's in the area.
So glad we decided to go here and try them out, the gluten free version of the veginator I tried was delicious!😋 very good gluten free dough used.
Everyone else in the group was very impressed with their Pizza's too.
So it looks like we have found our new favourite Pizza place in the Costa 😁🍕
Everything was excellent, the rice, the location, the attention. I will definitely repeat, they also have many things for celiacs and with very reasonable prices.
I've visited El Granero on several occasions for business lunches and have always been very satisfied with the food and service, which have been excellent. However, on this last occasion, the experience was quite disappointing.
I booked a table for seven people three days ago, including a child with celiac disease, and was assured they had a special menu for him. When we arrived, we were informed that there were no gluten-free croquettes, despite having previously confirmed this, and they served him ham instead. I understand that unforeseen events can arise, but it was an unpleasant surprise.
During the meal, the service was very slow, and the waiters seemed somewhat disgruntled, which detracted from the experience. Furthermore, we were told there was no hamburger left for the child and he could only choose chicken breast, which is also understandable.
When dessert arrived, we asked if the ice cream was gluten-free. The waiter checked with the kitchen again and confirmed that the gluten-free options were only vanilla and chocolate. We chose chocolate ice cream, but they brought us one with cookies on top. When we pointed this out, the waiter apologized and the meal was immediately changed.
It's important to note that celiac patients don't choose to follow a gluten-free diet; they have an autoimmune disease that requires special care. On this occasion, we felt those needs were not respected. Furthermore, the child expressed feeling left out because he didn't have his full menu and they tried to poison him with the ice cream and cookies.
Despite having had good experiences in the past, this visit was a disaster for my family. I hope they can improve their attention to special needs and how they handle unforeseen events in the future.
We went on a weekday to have a snack because on the menu we saw that they had a variety of gluten-free products, but they only had bread. We moved to things made from another municipality, but it was quite a disappointment. They didn't have almost anything we asked for. Our fault for not calling and asking before.
Maybe on weekends there is more variety
Third year coming to this restaurant and I can't say anything bad or average.
The food, based on good quality products, is very good, together with a correct staff - not so the owner, who is a great guy and very nice and friendly, apart from being the architect of the kitchen - they make year after year My family and I come to have breakfast daily (they have options for celiacs) and to eat several times in 15 days.
A fixed place to come to in Arenales del Sol.
Good food, good service, they have gluten-free bread and some options, things that are appreciated, we didn't have to wait long, the waiters were very attentive that everything was in order, in front of the beach, Javi served us and he was very nice to us, in short we liked it a lot
Highly recommended. It looks simple from the outside, but the food is very well prepared. We were served by a super-friendly waitress who recommended the delicious "escombros." Goat cheese salad with an exquisite sauce, fried fish, and very original patatas bravas. Strudel for dessert. We'll be back. And all gluten-free! Recommended for celiacs.
Very good food, with tons of gluten-free options.
Everything was very good and the portions were very large.
The service was quite slow. It's true that there were a lot of people and they were always busy, but even taking that into account, it took a long time to take our order and serve us...
Despite this, I would definitely come back.
Good pizza, could have been left in the oven a little longer.
My daughter took a plate of fries that came when we had pretty much finished our pizzas. There was no ketchup.
I had gluten-free pizza, good dough.
