We came in for lunch and it was so good! The portions are huge, we took leftovers home. The gluten free bread for the grilled cheese was an extra $2, but it was surprisingly good bread! It didn’t fall apart and it was nice and well toasted. The on tap root beer was also good.

Visiting out of state and Hope G was a great server! Nice kind and answered all my questions regarding dietary restrictions. Most places say idk and she went out of her way to get my questions answered. It’s hard for me to eat to other places but this definitely hit the spot! Most gluten free toast are really thin and over price but the toast was nice and thick not too costly either. It’s hard for gluten free toast to be toasted but this toast was good. Some places don’t even toast the bread which I find not appealing since the bread is soft and turns to mush. The potatoes are a bit over seasoned but I rather have it over seasoned than taste like nothing. The portions are a bit small but if you get an avocado toast with two eggs and the potatoes it doesn’t over fill you. I hope they offer turkey bacon in the future :) Thanks for the service! Made my day :)

A great gastropub with good hearty delicious food. Oddly eclectic, but not overly. DISCLAIMER: We visited on a day electricity went out and they were swamped because many went out to eat on a Tuesday. Tuesdays are not normally busy like this one. - American Heritage Burger: The meat was spot on, though nothing too much above expectation. The toppings were wonderfully balanced. The bun was an amazing compliment. It was full-bodied, fluffy, slightly sweat, and with a flaky outside. It fit the flavor really well. - Gluten Free American Heritage Burger with Bacon: My wife is gluten free and ordered the same burger I did but with gluten free bread (not a bun) and bacon. She mentioned it was good tasting for gluten free and could tell they used honey as a sweetener (which is common for keeping it healthy). I actually had a bite to see the difference. I was surprised how good it was. I don’t like my burgers on bread rather than a bun, but this was do-able. - Fries: Darkly flavorful (with soy or worcestershire?). Needed just a tiny touch more of salt. - Service: Our waiter was everywhere and constantly busy, but skillful. You could tell these guys take their job’s with attention to detail and balance their time. - Kitchen: We had a seat right next to the kitchen and had quite the show watching. They had quite a system down where they made the similar dishes all at once to keep everything flowing and efficient. However, when things go wrong and something needs to be corrected, it takes more time than normal. My wife’s gluten-free burger was made with the wrong bun. She is not super sensitive, so we were okay with just swapping it out, but it took almost 15 minutes for just that minor change. (Again, it was an abnormal night with electricity out and more people going out to eat). - Atmosphere: The place was full, but we got in within the promised 15 minutes. The place was full of brighter neutral colors and blacks. The juxtaposition of industrial 55 gallon barrels painted black and church lights also painted black with some brighter colors was interesting, but I thought it was well thought out. It was generally cozy feeling, too. - Noise: General conversation volume was a medium with some music played about 25% of the time. - Music: There was an older woman there playing the piano and singing. She was really good and kept it mainly quiet enough to allow conversation. It was upbeat and stylish. Thought about asking to get a picture with her. I enjoyed it

Love this place overall. On this particular visit, we had a little trouble with some of the food. The mahi-mahi was very dry and the shrimp was over crisp on one side. Still juicy inside though. They also prepared us a to-go item that was supposed to be gluten free but apparently flour was added to the sauce during prep, which is not the norm. They acknowledged this when they brought it to the table, but it was late and they didn't have time to make another batch. Instead they made up for that by pro bonoing the takeout dish as one of us could eat it. Some loud diners at a table next to us that seemed to want the attention of all the tables around them. Our waiter was above and beyond, making a positive difference in our overall experience.

I went here expecting excellent food and service. I was told by the manager on the phone that there were many gluten and dairy free option, but there weren't. I was told by the server that salad was included with the salmon. I received the bill with an $8 charge for a terrible salad where I only took 2 small bites. I will not be back.
