How lovely to find a place that is entirely gluten free!! Also vegan and sugar free. The meals were delicious, the desserts were ok. All quite pricey but I guess that's the cost of fresh and healthy.
I’m Celiac and they used clean pans for me and was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about cross contamination and how to keep me safe. Very happy with service.
If you are in the area, Theo's is a MUST GO, and ask for Nadine!! I have celiac and their menu did not disappoint. I had so many options to choose from, I needed extra time. We started with the calamari, ordered the oysters and lamb shoulder platters. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. Nadine is amazing: her cheerful personality, her knowledge of the menu, and the history of the house was spot on! Spend some time reading the captions under the pictures. Best experience ever!! Highly recommend!
Great place with vegan and gluten free options. Always friendly, a little bit pricey, but what isn't nowadays! The restaurant is small inside so there isn't always seating immediately available, and they are usually busy because they are so good!
Fantastic food! I had the Smoked Salmon poached egg bowl, and my partner had the tofu bowl. We are gluten free, which was easily accommodated. Lots of GF and DF options. Would definitely eat here again!
I was very pleased to hear that they have a dedicated gluten-free fryer! French fries!!! The gravy is also GF. They took good care to alleviate as much potential for cross-contamination as possible. Eating out is such a luxury.
We ordered sandwiches for 15 people, 2 gluten free sandwiches, a veggie platter and a fruit platter. Not only was the staff of Nature's Fare Penticton friendly and accommodating, they went above and beyond to make the platters gorgeous. The quality of ingredients was top notch and very well priced! Thank you, Nature's Fare for an amazing experience. I will be recommending this business for any party needs in the future
This is the BEST GLUTEN-FREE pizza we've ever had !! It has everything going for it. The size (14"), the crust infused with herbs, and it was golden brown on the underside, which means its been cooked all the way through. Plus, it was well done like we asked it to be. They added plenty of toppings and did not skimp on them nor the amount of cheese on top. When we opened the box, the pizza was hot like it just came out of the oven. Even after we drove down the street to the park to eat!!
I don't know why I've held off writing a review for so long because this is the place I met my soon to be husband and we revisit often when passing through. We love the small diner feel, the staff are always welcoming and sweet. The portions are HUGE and still are huge 4 years later. Honestly, the fact people complain about the food here blows my mind because it's the basis of a home cooked diner meal, and that's what I'm looking for when coming here. I think the prices are on par if not cheap for how much food they serve! It's exactly what you'd expect from a small town diner and i will always come back. I mean I may be biased because this place holds such a special place in my heart! Regardless of that, this is the perfect breakfast place! :)
I'm also super thankful they have gluten free options - not a lot of places do!

I come to eat here for special occasions as it can be a bit pricey depending if you’re there for lunch or dinner.
I have celiac disease and would highly recommend this restaurant as I’ve eaten there multiple times and I have never gotten any symptoms, which is always the dream situation for anyone with celiac disease.
The food is phenomenal, I’ve never eaten anything I have not liked.
They always take extra care for anyone with celiac disease and will be able to inform you of what you can and cannot eat off the menu.
The views are some of the best in Penticton.
I would highly recommend if you have celiac disease or not! It’s always a very lovely experience.
Excellent meal at this downtown Penticton spot. Clean but casual interior, prompt friendly service, and fantastic food! Our Denver guests described this as some of the best Indian they’ve ever had. They also do a great job Gluten-Free! The Mango Chicken is an excellent suggestion for Butter chicken lovers and they have a nice, but small selection of local wines and Indian beers to compliment your meal.
Very friendly. The place smelled amazing. I can’t speak to their product as we were heading there for Gluten Free baking. They were very quick to mention that there is a risk of cross contamination, which we greatly appreciated as my son has celiac disease and cannot risk cross contamination.
Amazing spot. Went on a quiet night. Nice and chill relaxed. Had an amazing chowder and my wife had a gluten free options which is always tough to find. Will be back
Farty vibes. Sports bar for kids. Had the 'gluten free' pasta but if you'd heard my butt last night you'd absolutely agree that it did indeed contain gluten. It sounded like the Titanic lost in fog. At one point it startled my partner awake and he shouted "ICEBERG AHEAD!". Went with friends, they're cool, they get 5 stars out of 5.
Excellent traditional style Mexican cuisine. Gluten Free/Celiac options are no problem here! All dishes were amazing with fantastic flavor. Staff were friendly, accommodating and fun! We will be back!
Best Pad Thai in the Okanagan! Stopped at the food truck on our way through town looking for something quick, vegetarian, and gluten free and we’re not disappointed. Will definitely stop by next time
Sociale is a must-stop if you’re enjoying a day at the beach! Our server Selina was excellent and so patient with us. The food was to die for, there were lots of gluten free options, and the servers are all very knowledgeable and attentive. 10/10 would recommend.
Women owned selling many things from ice cream in cups, take home tubs and cones to handmade ice cream sandwiches, skincare, toys, accessories, decor such as candles, artwork and magnets, puzzles, beach and snack items, and also have a cafe with baked goods, salads and bowls and gluten free specialty cookies. There's a definite lean towards quality over quantity here. Outdoor area with trees and grass with seating as well as some seating on the outside patio area in the shade. No indoor seating or outdoor misting machines; can be quite hot on certain days. Fun bubble machine outside.
Great little cafe, the owner is beyond lovely. They make great tea lattes. Unfortunately as someone with celiac disease you cannot eat there, as there is cross contamination and not many gluten free options other than the options they have from the Penticton restaurant called Gratify. They have some of gratify’s deserts and now the bowls which I noticed the last time I was in there. The bowls may be safe as long as the lids have not been removed. But the treats are all in the same cabinet as gluten containing treats and it looks as though they use the same tongs for all treats, so there will be cross contamination there.
I only ever go for lattes here, but they are some of the best lattes in town. I’ve never had any symptoms with the lattes I have gotten from here. Make sure if you are going with oat milk to ask if it’s gluten free.
Would highly recommend, but if you have celiac disease, just be aware of the potential cross contamination with the food. If you do not have celiac disease I’ve heard the food and treats are wonderful! Have one or two for me 🫶🏻😊
The staff are always so friendly, polite and fast!!! Food is aways tasting on point. I just wish they would get gluten free shells for their burritos. Being a Celiac I would eat more from the menu then. : )

So good we came back twice during our trip. We were also lucky for the menu to have changed slightly from our first visit so was able to try different tapas dishes.
This is the spot for Celiacs, 99% of their menu is gluten-free except for their bread. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Presentation was top notch.
If you are looking for a quick bite, this is not the place. It's an experience, order a bunch of dishes to share (min. 2 dishes/person), try some of their cocktails or wine and take in the beautiful view from your table.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine. Our lunch server saw that we had returned and came by to welcome us back. Definitely a nice gesture.
Just had the Gluten Free Halibut and chips and I'm super impressed! I'm gluten intolerant not by choice and have a hard time finding good take away food, I'd recommend this even if your not Gluten intolerant! Thanks 😊
I’ve been here a couple times now and it’s truly an amazing restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is fantastic, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I would highly recommend the aburi nigiri. They are also great for those with dietary restrictions. I have celiac disease and they will always accommodate if they can.
I was really excited for this dinner due to the high rating but unfortunately was really disappointed with this restaurant. Our server wasn’t friendly and made it feel very snooty and uncomfortable.
The servers weren’t very accommodating of dietary restrictions. I’m celiac and they were unable to provide safe GF options for any of the carbs (potato, bulgar, pita) so I left quite hungry. They also never came back with an answer on if the feta was pasteurized which is necessary during pregnancy.
Our server told us this was ‘elevated dining’, but this really missed the mark, certainly wouldn’t return.
I was in Penticton for a couple of days on my way home from a trip to Edmonton. I reached out to my niece to meet for dinner while I was in town and she recommended Palmer. I happened to be staying next door at the Hotel Penticton so this was super convenient.
Their menu has a good variety without being overwhelming. There’s bound to be something to appeal to everyone. My niece ordered the Miso Glazed Salmon and I had the Chicken Presse. Both meals were very tasty and decent portions.
Our server was very attentive and when I mentioned that my Guinness was quite flat, she brought me a different drink and even comp’d the drink as well as remove the stale drink.
After our meal, our server listed off some dessert options and we selected their Turtle Cheesecake which is both gluten free and dairy free (my niece has dietary restrictions) and it was surprisingly tasty. The coconut whip “cream” was a nice touch.
I will be trying Palmer for breakfast before I leave and see if a steakhouse is capable of doing breakfast.

Cute place and good sushi! Usually at Japanese restaurants it is sometimes difficult to get gluten free options, but this place was very helpful. They even had a dedicated gluten free combo! I will be back again
This is definitely one of if not the best pizza place in Penticton.
My partner is gluten intolerant so we hadn't tried this place because they do not offer GF base... However!! The flour they use in their pizza is imported from Italy and it is a lot easier on the stomach and we were able to eat the regular dough no problem!! We have heard other people who are gluten intolerant say the same.
The pizza is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is fun and inviting.
Definitely reccomend
A greasy spoon with not too greasy delights!
I haven't been to restaurants for a while. This was a real treat as I came into town for some items. Big perks all around. They don't charge for gluten free French toast, the prices are so good for this time in the world, it's packed so that shows people like it and it was Sparkling clean all around. Can't say that about Denny's! I was happy writing here for an hour. Thank you!
Nice little “ trendy “place. I waited in the big line up. I ordered the smoked salmon toast with extra egg and the blueberry dream smoothie and also a gluten-free apple ginger muffin……the prices are a little bit more than announced on their website…. one dollar more for the toast and $.95 more for the smoothie ….the smoked salmon toast has a good presentation and the taste was OK ….however the blueberry dream smoothie tasted a little bit like peanut butter and not much for the rest……the muffin had no pieces of Apple inside only a couple of slices on top and mostly tasted like ginger…..overall for a price of $30…..will not be coming back. I waited quite a while for the toast to be ready…. I took my order to go as most tables with shade well all taken
, there was only a few tables left in the sun….
Visiting from Vancouver and ordered 5 pizzas, Veg Korma, Paneer Makhnee Gluten free, Meat Lovers, and veggie pesto. I must say that this pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had!! Delicious fresh toppings, and flavours. The crust is crispy and perfect texture & taste. I called the order in, and the lady that took my order was extremely friendly, and delivery driver was equally great and professional! I highly recommend this place, 5 STAR *****
July 09,2019 Went here for a to go item-my wife got gluten free pad thai and said it was delicious, good price as it made enough for two meals. The waitress was really friendly and talked to us while we waited, the food was done really fast yet tasted really fresh. Will come back one day!!
As someone who has to eat gluten free I was extremely disappointed in the menu options. My only options were a power bowl or fish.
The ambience in he restaurant is wonderful and we used to always go there for a nice higher end dinner. A couple of years ago they had an amazing menu with lots of good gluten free options. Now they don’t list any gluten free options and as mentioned there were only three things I was advised I could have. We won’t be going back and we won’t be recommending the restaurant to others.
