Wonderful food with a variety of health-conscious options including gluten free and dairy free, including their desserts. We loved it so much we went back twice in the same day haha. Parking is the only challenge, but the food and very friendly service makes it worth it. Highly recommend!
Celiac friendly. The staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and were able to highlight everything on the menu that I could eat. Delicious food and good atmosphere.
We had salads and pizzas delivered for our large group one night. They were fast and efficient. Salads were fresh and delicious (Greek salad). The pizzas satisfied our cravings and went perfectly with the wine we had at home. Solid crust and ingredients. We had a guest that was gluten free and she was able to pick her option and enjoy a great pizza alongside everybody.
Yikes. Donāt even know where to start. Long story short - donāt come here. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and after that we walked out. Never typically leave reviews for restaurants but this was an exception because it was so bad. I mean the worst restaurant experience Iāve ever had. We kept getting different excuses from the waiter and the manager. At one point it was that āgluten free pizza takes longerā (which has never been a hold up in the past at Mellow), another time it was āthe kitchen made your orders wrong,ā and the third time it was āthe kitchen lost your ticket and your order hasnāt been made.ā After over an hour and a half of waiting and the server asking us our order again and getting the order wrong on the ticket, we decided to leave. Manager and waiter never seemed to care that we had been waiting over an hour and a half, there was no sympathy or apologies, and they were rude. Exceptionally bad customer service. Other tables were waiting for their food and the food pick up section had a large amount of people waiting a long time too. So donāt count on pick up being timely either. Understand delays can happen because of staff shortage and busy hours, but the restaurant was half empty and tons of servers standing around. None of our group will be coming back. Highly recommend you donāt go here or if you really want Mellow Mushroom to visit the Cary or Durham location.
This place is one of my favorite spots for burgers but with a Spanish twist to it. Has a good variety of burgers and their sides of either fries with truffles, sweet potatoes, and the Mac and cheese. You canāt go wrong with those!! This place also has gluten free bread option that comes in a separate package for you to assemble, very well made and done. Delicious and Gluten free!!!
The food was delicious! GLuten friendly options are available. The Arepas were decently sized, though a big guy like me needs two. I preferred the pork over the salmon.
Donāt come here if you have a gluten allergy. Observed the guys on the line not changing gloves even after being notified about food allergies. Hour long wait for pizza to come out. Used to be such a safe place to eat when it came to food allergies. Not anymore.

Celiac friendly. The staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and were able to highlight everything on the menu that I could eat. Delicious food and good atmosphere.
Visited during lunch and wanted the pizza since itās gluten free but felt it was too pricey. Decided to try a salad. The champagne vinaigrette dressing was a huge hit. I wish they sold it. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. I would return.
Lots of gluten free options including sushi!! Let them know if you have celiac and they will take extra precautions and your meal will come out separately with an allergy stick. I feel very safe eating here!
So not impressed! They were out of chicken fingers and gluten free sub roll. VERY EXPENSIVE for a little sit down eatery. 5 people and waters to drink cost $75! My husband got the gyro (kept falling apart) and fries, hamburger w/ fries, cheeseburger w/ fries, ham sub, gluten free roll (crumbled when I picked it up because of being so dry) with turkey and cheese w/ sweet potato fries. I get really upset when thereās a lot of money spent and the food is bad. Not sure what everybody else likes about this place because they have good reviews. We donāt like spending lots of money on crappy food.
Honestly, our waitress was not great. We didn't make it easy for her, with a large group, but she tried to charge us for several drinks more than once, forgot to bring out a gluten-free pizza and forgot one meal completely. We were joking about it when she took the order - it would have been easier had she taken notes of our order!
Love the gluten free options and the gluten free brownie is just devine to top it off! My order is always exactly as I ordered. Always more than a plenty of toppings. They do not skimp on anything! Definitely worth the money! And service it quick and friendly. Thanks MM!
The owner has celiac as well as her oldest daughter. As soon as I said I had celiac she came right out to the table to explain the menu. She said itās easier for her to tell me what I canāt have versus what I can. Sheās working on a gluten free menu. I was so excited when she told me I could get chicken tenders and fries! She has dedicated space in her kitchen and fryer. I canāt wait to go back for French toast! They are open for breakfast and lunch.
Absolutely loved this place. My girlfriend is gluten free and had been craving the taste of beer since she found out she couldnāt have gluten anymore. The ownerās wife has celiac I believe, or canāt have gluten for some reason, so they have multiple beers with either no gluten or gluten reduced!! The atmosphere was awesome and we had a delicious gluten free pizza as well. We will definitely be back if we are ever out that way again!!
My family and I love our Hickory Jason's Deli. Everything that we eat is always delicious. The cashier is always helpful and even knows I have a gluten allergy. Jason's is always our pick!
Didnāt get one of our sandwiches or fry. Our iced coffee was supposed to be vanilla it wasnāt. My daughter has gluten allergy and didnāt get her bun. And to top it off we waited 11 minutes in parking lot to get it and then they still shorted us a fry. I called cause it was going on 15 minutes and the manager argued with me that I got them all. Really you left out half my order and then you think you have any right to argue with me over a fry. Iāll drive to Wilkes from now on. Boone Chick-fil-A sucks
Iāve been visiting Tower 7 since my college daysābasically since right after it opened. I bought my first surfboard, a beautiful WRV from Sweet Water surf shop in 01. Over the years, Iāve watched this little spot grow and change. Every summer, without fail, I visit the beachāand I always come to Tower 7. Itās become an icon of my summers; a tradition. I've introduced it to my children who now know what Tower 7 is and ask for it. Iām 42 now, so weāre talking about 20 years of memories. If I weren't 2 hours away, I'd come to eat more often!
Tower 7 has always felt like my special little hole-in-the-wall. The chips and salsa? My favorite. And the margaritas? Also my favorite!
Over the last few years, Iāll admit, I noticed a slight declineānothing major, but enough to dim the magic a little. I chalked it up to the pandemic. Outdated. The bathrooms and hallway needed renovating, the ventilation wasnāt great, the front felt cramped with all the extra seating crammed in, and the menus were outdated. Presentation of food was different. Even the vibe from the staff seemed off. But I kept coming backābecause this place means something to me. I never felt it was worth not visiting, though.
Yesterday was my first visit of the summer, and I was so happy to see changes. The hostess stand has been updated and is way more functional and welcoming, pushed back and kind of separates the kitchen hustle & bustle from the seating area. That crowded seating area to the right when you walk in? Gone. The hallway and bathrooms have been completely renovated, now featuring beautiful tiling and a much fresher atmosphere. I don't feel like I'm going to collide with staff going in or out of the kitchen (lol). Best of allāthe energy is back.
A quick tip: aim to visit around 5 p.m.āit gets packed after that, and parking along Breeza and the surrounding strip can be tough.
And a word to the wise: if youāre expecting authentic, traditional Mexican foodādonāt. This is Tex-Mex, and itās good. If youāre from California, rememberāyouāre on the East Coast. That authentic Cali flavor youāre used to just isnāt going to be here. So please donāt come with that expectation. What you will find is good food in a surfy beach spot, with the spirit of beach life infused throughout. Surf videos play on the TVs, surfboards and logos line the wallsāTower 7 lives and breathes its location.
I also have Celiac Disease, and Iāve always felt safe here. Their corn tortillas are handmade, and Iāve never had an issue/gotten sick. The staff are knowledgeable and never make me feel like a burden when I have questions or want to try something new. That matters. A lot! Just ask - there's a few sauces that aren't safe.
I cherish this place. Iām genuinely glad itās still here, still evolving, and still delivering those summer memories for me and my kids.
Love this place!
I have celiacs dx and the staff here is always knowledgeable and so accommodating!
We came in today with a good sized party. Liam was our server. He did I so great with our chaos 3 kiddos a bunch of extra checks and allergies. One of the kiddos spilled a drink. He was so chill and handled it all with such grace. Thanks Liam!
This location is across the street from the Pineville, NC Atrium Hospital. I have a family member that has had an unexpected extended stay at the hospital. I have celiac disease (Gluten allergy) and it is often hard to find a safe place to eat. I also must consider the possibility of cross contamination when eating at a cafeteria or restaurant.
I have been in this location multiple times over the past few weeks and EVERY TIME, no matter WHAT TIME, I enter the location they have been kind and taken great care of me. The other night I was not able to leave the hospital until 8:30pm and found myself very hungry and very nervous about asking a team of employees to help me 20 minutes before closing. That night the team was led by an individual named Tomashia and WOW just wow. They were so kind and helpful. No one there knew what my situation was or how exhausted or hungry I was. They were just there to help. I am very grateful. Thank you. Oh, and the sandwiches are delicious. š
Always a good experience. GF notation on menu, gf bun offered with burger that comes out separate with the other food. They minimize cross contamination as much as possible. Fries are noted gfā¦I have never had an issue eating them. Been told they have dedicated frier but they do offer fried chicken so not 100%.
Everything is gluten free here except the bread for the sandwiches. They donāt fry anything, so there is no fryer. The food was a little bland and you could tell their chips came from a bag. But the price is very reasonable and itās a quick place to get in and out of. We got the nachos and island bowl with jerk chicken. They do have several sauces that you can customize your bowl with.
