Been here many times. They have a large gluten free menu and staff are very knowledgeable about cross contamination. Ive had pasta, entrees, soup, desserts. If you're from Jersey they even have the traditional disco diner fries!
Such a cute place! We are always on the look out for places that serve gluten free baked goods. The staff were super friendly and it was very reasonably priced! We got 5 things to try and they all were AMAZING!! The chocolate chip cookie was to die for!! If I lived near the area I would be a regular!
This was my first time here and it was great. The place is cute and the staff was friendly. I bought a container of gluten free butter cookies and OMG they were amazing and delicious. The best I have ever had.

If you’re looking for an old time charming diner this is the place to go, no bells and whistles…just outstanding service & super delicious food. We have food sensitivities and Cora (our server) was very attentive to our dietary needs. The other servers were friendly as well. The menu was easy to read( not overwhelming), gluten free options are available and these items were highlighted on the menu. We will definitely be back soon!
Delicious breakfast at the beach edge. One had breakfast sandwich, one had 2 eggs and sausage, two split a sandy special. Sausage very good! Gluten free pancakes cooked perfectly. Over easy eggs perfect. Scrambled eggs done right.
All breakfasts came out together. Coffee refills. Wait staff attentive. Highly recommended.
Food is usually pretty good but last couple visits where not too good. Had Irish burger was so greasy i could only eat half and lat time I was there had smash burger and was so salty I had to scrape off the buns and burger . Also last time I had your Stew It had no veggies in it for what it cost I would expect much better . Had befor and was great . Dont know whats going on there but starting to dought my next visit . I only come there because my wife has Celiac .
This cake literally saved my birthday.
I have loved cake since I was young but got recently diagnosed with celiac. For my 25th birthday I really wanted something special. She was able to put wording on my cake and it tasted so gooood holy moly!
This is one if not the best cake I’ve ever had in my life. I will absolutely be back. 10000/10
Both my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the meatball appetizer and our pizzas. He ordered the 9-inch Detroit style gluten-free pizza, and I ordered the Meatball Ricotta Pizza. The food was fresh, delectable, and perfectly seasoned. The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was dark, modern, and sophisticated. We were seated right in front of the counter, which allowed us the opportunity to speak with the owner, who was absolutely delightful and gave us the history of the restaurant and himself.
Unfortunately I really disliked everything I tried. I got an açaí bowl with protein powder which tasted medicinal. I also got a vegan donut and vegan cupcake which both had a weird taste/texture. I also got a vegan chocolate chip cookie which tasted okay but was extremely hard and dry. I drove specifically to try this place as I am celiac and dairy free (for years) but unfortunately left disappointed.
I had a hard time choosing, there were so many options! The staff was very nice and helpful and everything was 100% gluten free. Great dairy free and peanut free options as well. Get all your bakery goodies here with no worries! Typically other gluten free bakeries pastries become hard and stale very fast, these were soft and moist!
Small, counter service bakery, with a few seats at the bar and a couple tables outside. Everything we got was really good. I'm not gluten free but my partner is, and we both really enjoyed what we got.
We got two bagels, one sesame with butter(her) and an everything with cream cheese(me) here in lies our only beef. My partner is also dairy free so the butter was the only option and even that was a stretch and a chance. And they were pretty light with my cream cheese, not trying to be greedy but I expect an ample schmere. So the bagels were amazing but in the future we'd get them to go.
We also bought an array of donuts and cookies to take for later and ALL of those were excellent. Not pictured are the filled donuts, and a slice of coffee cake.
Honestly the best thing in my opinion was that thumbprint cookie, kinda stole the show for me. I would go back back get 50 of those things.
It's really nice to have a bakery option be gluten free. And if you are, this place is totally up there.
9 out of 5 stars
Love Asbury Kitchen! Breakfast is my fav meal of the day, and OC def has a lot to offer when it comes to breakfast/brunch! My boyfriend has celiacs (gluten free allergy) and this is our go to! Equipped with a separate fully Gluten Free menu, gluten free desserts, and accommodating staff. There were so many options we’ve never seen at other places (gluten free eggs benedict— pictured) and so much more that we need to go back and try— gluten free almond pound cake- yes please! I got a regular Jersey Eggs Benedict which was absolutely delicious and he got the same made gluten free and we shared a stack of gluten free pancakes with fresh strawberry and crispy bacon. Everything was made to perfection!!! Cozy and clean atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of options! Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch and especially for any friends with allergies!
We were on a long drive up the East Coast and because I have celiac, we are always looking for gluten-free restaurants and bakeries. We went a few miles out of our way to see what Star Seed had to offer and boy were we glad we did. We walked out with carrot cake, Focaccia, bagels, snickerdoodles, and almond cranberry cookies. Gluten-free doesn’t mean not delicious and these delivered. Highly recommend even if you do not have allergies.
Kizbees is amazing. I had my wedding cake made from them and an additional small gf/v cake for my vegan/df guests. I literally had to smuggle a slice out for me and the groom for later. My guests LOVED them both. Also every cupcake, cookie and pop tart I have ever had there is just so delicious. The customer service was so amazing.i have been diagnosed celiacs 15 years and they are 100% the best!
I love mahana fresh! This gluten free food is absolutely delicious. There is also plenty of vegan options as well as non vegan options. I would definitely recommend coming here!
Upon arriving, we received a not very warm welcome which set a not nice tone for the evening. However, things quickly became a bit disappointing. When being seated, the host mentioned he saw the Resy notes indicating someone in our party was plant-based and gluten-free and asked if we’d like that menu. If it was already noted in the reservation, it would’ve made sense to have those menus ready at the table or automatically offered. Otherwise — what’s the point of specifying it ahead of time?
Our server, Mary, unfortunately wasn’t very knowledgeable about the plant-based, vegan, or gluten-free options. She seemed unsure of the menu, had to double-check multiple times, and lacked confidence in answering basic questions about ingredients and modifications. It’s frustrating as a guest when you take the time to add dietary preferences in advance specifically to avoid situations like this.
The veggie soup was far too salty and unenjoyable, though the eggplant parmesan was actually pretty good. The Saratoga still water isn’t a personal favorite and it was the only option, so I had to add several lemon wedges just to make it palatable.
The most disappointing moment was when I asked about plant-based desserts. Mary seemed confused by the request until my mom clarified by saying “vegan dessert,” which then prompted her to bring over a tray of pre-made dessert shooters to choose from. Honestly, that felt off-putting. Who knows how long those had been sitting out or how many tables they’d been to that night. It just wasn’t an appealing or thoughtful presentation, especially for a restaurant that prides itself on seasonal and fresh offerings.
The restaurant was nearly empty given it was the 4th of July, so it would’ve been an ideal opportunity for attentive service. I’m hoping this was just an off night, perhaps due to holiday staffing. I might give them another try on a regular evening to see if it was an isolated issue — but based on this visit, it definitely missed the mark.
Very casual, nice people, great food. They have a very diverse menu which includes home style meals, great breakfasts and many choices for gluten free and vegetarian. Daily specials too!
Love the 502 Baking Company! They have excellent crumb cake options including gluten-free. Must try the peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, key lime pie and their brownies. Don't forget to try their scones and the sourdough bread. Highly recommended!
Ive been coming here since they opened, Great people very knowledgeable on GF/Vegan and no worry of cross contamination since everything is gluten free, They have amazing baked goods everything in there is delicious and very reasonable prices for being gluten free
As someone with Celiac disease, it’s a blessing having Papa Ganache in town. The staff is always friendly & helpful. I’ve tried a bunch of delicious things through the years, but faves are the gluten free crumb cakes, brownies, cake pops, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies & parmesan brioche.
What a gem to have locally.
Our Gluten free family members were able to enjoy dessert right along with us on Easter Sunday.
We will definitely be back to support this family run small business.
As someone with a gluten allergy, I love eating at Barrio! The team is so knowledgeable about dietary restrictions — I feel like there’s something for everyone here, so it’s a great place to bring a big group.
Really like that they have that GLUTEN FREE French macaroon option 10/10 delicious! SEED OILS I suspect, the woman I asked one evening said to me that “the baker isn’t here and I’m not going back there to figure it out” PLEASE tell me I’m wrong! Coconut oil for the WIN:)
We used to like this place, but the service has been going downhill, and today set it over the top. We tried to order food for Mother’s Day for my mom who can’t eat gluten. This place is mentioned on Google for having accommodating foods for gluten free eaters. We ordered food and spent over $150, which they collected when we placed the order. My mom ordered a gluten free pizza to accommodate her dietary needs - which was the whole reason for eating here . When my dad went to pick up the food, they gave us the food without the pizza without mentioning it at all. When my dad left the restaurant, he realized they didn’t give him the pizza. He went back to get the pizza, nbd. When he went back inside to ask, they said that they don’t have gluten free pizzas left. NO ONE CALLED US TO INFORM US. To be so lazy to just ignore the fact that you don’t have someone’s order and then to not inform the people is unbelievable. They just tried to not give us our pizza WITHOUT TELLING US WHEN WE SPENT OVER $150. We literally wouldn’t have gone here if we knew because of my mom’s dietary restrictions as the meal was supposed to be for her. The restaurant was careless, lazy, and sneaky, and we won’t be coming back. What a shame. We’ve never had any issues at the bridgewater location.
RUN here if you have celiac or other GF needs. They have fried donuts that don't taste like dry cake. SO GOOD. The marscapone donut was my favorite. The Nutella bites were good, but not as good as I hyped them up in my mind. If this place was around the corner from me I'd be here daily.
just went there last weekend, it was amazing! They use A&A pretzels, and Fox and Sons mixes for funnel cake and corn dogs. We tried pretty much everything except pizza on the menu!
Cute Bakery with Gluten-free and Vegan desserts. The cookie sandwiches and donuts are to die for! I haven't had ones this good since going GF two years ago. 10/10 for this adorable bakery!!!
had a great experience with my family this past Sunday. Mia was our server and was so kind and helpful at explaining the food items on the menu. the TFK chicken sandwich was pretty good - I had to make an adjustment to a gluten free bun but both my brother and father enjoyed the original version. the margarita pizza we had was incredible! highly recommend as an appetizer. Can’t wait to come back and try the SZA CZA!
I love this spot; I’m gluten free and always suspicious of restaurants that say they have good gluten free options. But their French toast was incredible! Coffee was hot and fresh, it was very loud so if you’re noise sensitive I would recommend going at a lighter trafficked time of day or sit outside.
The waiter and hostess were fabulous and helpful.
Bashful Banana is the go-to spot in OC for a healthier sweet treat! Their banana whips are the best, and you can customize them with other fruits or even non-dairy chocolate chips—perfect for those with dietary restrictions. They have so many gluten-free options too, which is fantastic. It’s an OC staple for anyone looking for a lighter alternative when you’re not in the mood for ice cream. Highly recommend for a refreshing and delicious treat!
Had a burrito on a gluten-free wrap. Latte was great as well as the vegan/dairy-free/gluten-free banana bread.
As a pilot sometimes I don’t have enough time to dine in restaurants. They were on UberEats and would recommend to anyone local!
Also Joanne called me during my order prep for a question about my Latte. Their attention to detail was not expected but very welcomed!
Michelle and her team did a phenomenal job catering my Baby Shower this weekend! She worked with me to develop a menu in advance, and prepared light, delicious offerings for my guests. She easily accommodated various dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian options, peanut free, etc.).
The real show stopper was the cake. WOW! Not only was it flavorful, but the decorations fit perfectly with the theme of the shower (woodland).
I would absolutely recommend Michelle for any catering gig, especially those that need to be gluten free. Thank you Busy Bee!
Had a great experience here today. The restaurant (new location) is gorgeous - modern and clean and not overcrowded inside. Beautiful. The food was delicious too. I had a gf Caesar salad that was incredible and a risotto special with lobster that was excellent. Nearly every pasta dish could be made with gf pasta and the chicken parm could be made with grilled chicken and gf pasta, which also sounded good (and healthier than traditional breaded and fried chicken anyway). The only negative was the way we were greeted at the reception. The ladies seemed stressed out and had intense discussions with each other about my reservation and the fact that one person ended up not being able to make it. It was very off putting and we did not feel welcomed at all. I considered walking out…but I didn’t want to be charged! After we were seated everything was lovely.
Always great service and the coffee is delightful. I’ll add that the gluten free baked goods are amazing. I’m not a gluten free person and generally hate gluten free baked goods, but these are outright delicious. I’d never have guessed they were gluten free and still don’t understand what magic they use.
We went to Crave on the way home from the Capital Health Neurosciences Hospital. We had a long morning, I had to get back to working, but my daughter really wanted to stop and we are both Celiac and have enjoyed Crave previously. I was pushing for Wawa because we were in a rush so I could work.
We ordered Avocado on Toast and the Crave Eggs and Bacon plus coffees. The woman was very friendly and said our food would be ready in five minutes-- It was not very busy, but I assumed 10 minutes was probably the reality. Five minutes would have been a dream. We waited more than thirty minutes and asked her multiple times-- I had to push back two meetings and made me sour on the place a bit.
The food continues to be good, just order ahead!
Delicious food and great service. Tip for dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan folks: you have options! Get the gluten-free pancakes or gluten-free waffles. Those are made with almond milk, hence dairy free, and end up being vegan as well. You can get any of their specialty pancakes or waffles with the gluten-free recipe. Just make sure the toppings (like whipped cream) are removed if you're dairy-free or vegan. You can also get the almond milk latte if you're looking for a milky coffee option.
Wonderful cupcakes and other treats! I am newly gluten and dairy free and was excited to hear about Mo'Pweeze. I wasn't disappointed when I finally visited. Even my sister, a baker, loved everything. Our favorite was the chocolate raspberry cupcake.
