What an amazing find! My daughter is a Coeliac and it was lovely to dine at a restaurant which is 100% gluten free. Staff are lovely. Food is amazing! We will back!
We dined at Mirchi for the first time last night. We love Indian food and Mirchi didn't disappoint. The food was fabulous and as a bonus is organic, gluten free and most dishes can also be made dairy free. For those watching their carbs, broccoli & cauliflower rice is available. Spicy, delicious and not rich. Our service was excellent. We'll be back!
Absolutely blown away! As someone with coeliac disease, finding a place that serves truly gluten-free fish and chips — without compromising on taste or texture — is incredibly rare. I’ve been craving that classic fish and chip shop experience for so long, and I can honestly say this place delivered above and beyond anything I’d hoped for.
The fish was perfectly cooked — light, flaky, and coated in the crispiest gluten-free batter I’ve ever had. The calamari was tender and full of flavour, not rubbery or bland like so many others I’ve tried. And the chips? Golden, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — absolute perfection.
I’ve been to countless places over the years that claimed to offer gluten-free options, but they either lacked flavour, had cross-contamination issues, or just didn’t feel safe to eat. Here, I felt completely confident in the food and was able to relax and enjoy every bite without worry.
This was hands down the best gluten-free fish and chips I’ve had, and I will 100% be back. Whether you’re coeliac or just appreciate top-quality food, you won’t be disappointed. Highly, highly recommend!
Gluten free lovers unite!!! Celiacs here is a restaurant for you. There is so much gluten free options here. Best of all for those who are not gluten free it won’t matter because you can’t tell it’s gluten free. The food is delicious and lots of effort from the wonderful staff to satisfy. Also note GF options for beer🍺. Must say it’s one of a few restaurants where the food is as vibrant and colorful as the pictures.
Enjoy.
When we heard they have a 95% gluten free menu, we just had to check it out — and we weren't disappointed! Great value fish & chip packs, and the sweet potato wedges are the best we've ever found. Crunchy chips and great battered fish and calamari, and we've never once had any issue with coeliac contamination. It's great to have somewhere you can trust for reliable gluten free food.
Staff are always incredibly welcoming and attentive. And great views with the beach just across the road! Definitely a must visit if you want to grab a bite for lunch or dinner. 🐟
The Gluten Free Pizza and Pasta are EXCELLENT. I'm so happy to find Italian food that I can get gluten free, that is of such a high quality. It's the only place I have been where I am not compromising on quality or flavour by getting gluten free (actually I find their gluten free pizza to be better than their normal pizza). Thank you to Casa Cibo for having such great gluten free food, I will keep returning for both the pizza and pasta.
We loved it. A perfect spot pre show to enjoy the city sights and wander up queen street and over the river to the Lyric.
Gluten free & vegetarian options were fabulous & menu isn’t overwhelming! Great for share plates. Will be back!
It's been forever since I received a small (very generous) bowl of crispy sweet potato fries.
There's an incredible range of burgers to cover every conceivable desire and if they don't have it you can make your own. The gluten free menu is amazing. The presence of a vegan lentil patty excellent, and it tasted good too.
The vibe was great, even at a midweek lunch, the service friendly and fantastic.
Craft beers were great. Really theres not a lot of negatives. Maybe a bit more seasoning in the burger patty and on the fries but it was nearly there.
I'd go back and work out just what was going to be my new favourite burger, and have more of those crispy crunchy sweet potato fries.
Great food. Good service. Caters for coeliac, GF, vegan. The staff and chefs were happy to make the curry milder with extra chilli on the side. Will definitely be going back.
The food here is great every time we visit. On our most recent trip, we opted for the lunch banquet, which offered fantastic value and gave us the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes. The team was very accommodating, even adjusting one of the orders to be gluten-free.
We were served by Isabella, who was just a delight. She was attentive, personable, and had such a warm and positive attitude. We’ll definitely be back!
Wow just wow, love it. I'm coeliac and there is food and understanding. The food is great and very filling. Service is fantastic even when it's busy they always deliver.
We had a very enjoyable dinner, made more special by our very attentive and friendly host/server. The venue was very accommodating to my requirements as a coeliac, I was given a separate GF menu to choose from and there was plenty of choice. Would happily return and recommend.

Cannot compliment the whole experience enough! From the service to the vibe to the food - outstanding all round! I also wanted to share that this has been the BEST gluten free pizza dough I have ever had - to the point I would have even questioned if it was actually gluten free (don't worry, it definitely is). Kudos team, bravo!
Perfect place for coeliacs! And those on a gluten and wheat free diet
We had a few different dishes to try and share. Each dish tasted delicious! The dishes that we tried were - Chicken Betel Leaf Wrap, Khao Soi Chicken Salad, Master Stock Braised Chicken and Wok-Fried Asian Greens.
Beautiful place, fantastic atmosphere. The food was sensational - as a ceoliac the gluten free food was fantastic (Pasta was incredible) was the perfect date night!
Angelo really made the night- what great service. Cannot fault our experience. Will be back again.
The cocktails hit the spot
I visited with my family while on holiday on Airlie Beach last week. The food and drinks were delicious and the servings were generous. The staff were attentive and took great care with ensuring the meals were gluten free for my coeliac family members. The number of gluten free options is also great including on the kids menu (which is rare).
Peter and I are regulars for casual drinks and dining. We love the cosy and friendly atmosphere in the Tapestry bar and restaurant, plus the great choice of delicious gluten free menu. Service is great each time. We would like to make special mention of Katie’s lovely service in the Tapestry bar followed up by Latai’ exceptional service in the restaurant. Thank you so much girls for making our time there so enjoyable and welcoming. xx
Had breakfast here with my family.. I have coeliac disease.. it was delicious!!! Would definitely return back when we are in the area! Highly recommend!! A beautiful atmosphere aswell! 👌
Unfortunately, my experience at Betty’s Burgers in Toowoomba was deeply disappointing and frustrating, particularly as a long-time vegan who is careful about dietary choices.
When placing our order, we requested the vegan puff rice patty on a vegan roll. We also asked whether vegan cheese and vegan mayo were available, but the staff member assisting us confidently stated that they were not. We clarified our vegan preferences multiple times during the ordering process. Eventually, we opted for the patty with just tomato sauce due to the lack of vegan condiments.
When the burger arrived, I ate half of it, assuming it was the vegan puff rice patty. I even remarked on how impressive it was, thinking it must be a particularly realistic plant-based option. However, my friend, who had dined at Betty’s before, questioned it. Upon confirming with the kitchen staff, I discovered to my horror that I had been served a classic beef patty instead of the vegan option I had ordered.
As someone who has been vegan for 30 years, this was incredibly distressing. I immediately brought it to the attention of the front counter staff, only to be met with an explanation that they thought I “just wanted the gluten-free vegan roll,” completely ignoring my explicit request for a vegan patty and condiments. This demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of dietary requirements and an inability to properly process or double-check orders.
What makes this worse is that other establishments, typically review the order with the customer to ensure everything is correct. Betty’s Burgers failed at every step, from taking the order to serving the correct item.
I cannot recommend Betty’s Burgers to anyone with specific dietary preferences or allergies. This experience highlights a lack of care, competence, and accountability, which could have serious implications for those with dietary restrictions or food intolerances.
Had dinner here with a couple of friends recently and it was absolutely beautiful — amazing food with a fantastic range of gluten-free options, divine cocktails and excellent service. Thank you so much for a lovely evening ❤️
Recently opened and my gosh if yr not on the Gold Coast and are a Coeliac it is well worth the drive. Every thing is Gluten Free made on the premise. You order a large plate or small plate n the garlic bread is a small charge but well worth it. I will certainly be back, even the gluten eaters ate with relish. Their is curries, slow roasted lamb, chicken thighs, vegie lasagne, with pasta salads, roasted vegies and potato bake. Absolutely spoilt for choice. We will certainly be back.
Fries and other fried foods are not cooked in a separate fryer, so not coeliac safe - separate utensils but no separate preparation processes. Really helpful and kind management and staff, but we chose not to risk it. (We have eaten here prior to a coeliac diagnosis in our family and it’s truly delicious!!)
No idea if the food is any good, as we got turned away at 1:31 pm because the kitchen closed at 1:30. The website said they were open til 8pm but the girl at the counter said they may reopen at 4 or 5 pm or not at all. This was disappointing as, given I’m a coeliac, I can’t just go elsewhere. We had been looking at the menu board for a good 5 mins with no one saying the kitchen was about to close & no signage to that effect. Luckily the IGA two doors down had Tyrrell’s crisps so we didn’t starve but felt very disappointed with the lack of clarity around times & way it all played out. So here’s hoping this message saves some people the same disappointment.
Decided to have dinner and breakfast here because of the recommendation for coeliacs and wasn't disappointed. Had dinner and the the gf parma and came back in the morning and got the eggs benedict.
Apparently the owner is coeliac and their knowledge on coeliac and cross contamination was great and anything they weren't sure on, they were happy to check.
Food was delicious and got a iced late to go which came in a custom can which I thought was very cool.
One of my favourite go-to places for gluten free burgers and the BEST gluten free chips. Exceptionally coeliac aware and saw. Dedicated fryers and good prep areas. This place is not 100% gluten free though (despite Atly listing that it is).
Naim is a middle eastern cafe located in a bustling area of Paddington. It has many vegan options. They provide a few menu options that can be gluten free - they came up on GF Brisbane on Instagram. I wasn't sure if they were coeliac safe but I don't think I reacted to the food. I just wish communication was better.
I sat inside and ordered a chai on almond milk (~$5.50) and the falafel wrap GF. I asked what was the halloumi alternative and the waiter went to check for me. While she was away, another staff came to check if I needed to order, which was nice but I explained that I was already being attended to.
I ordered the wrap and asked for it to be GF for a coeliac. The girl didn't read the order back to me. When I received it, it wasn't read out/described back to me so I felt anxious about eating it. I had the food with additional Zhug and it was quite spicy but delicious. The wrap did kind of fall apart all through the paper, I kinda wish it had been packaged a bit differently, there was sauce everywhere and they kinda skimped on the falafel frankly. My first few bites from the centre were just sauce and bread.
Together including the coffee, it was about $30ish. I enjoyed the food but I probably just would appreciate more communication about the order and safety. If something is toasted, is it toasted whilst wrapped? Or nah?
