Definitely not celiac friendly! You can smell the baked pizza in the air. Yeah nope! How can anybody rate these places as gluten-free friendly. Seriously, just walking in and being there for 5 minutes, my son and I both were symptomatic, and we didn't even eat or drink anything
An Unforgettable GF & VG Dining Experience at Lila – Sarasota, FL
Visiting from Ridgefield, CT, my wife Julie and I had the pleasure of dining at Lila during our trip to Sarasota for US Rowing Youth Nationals — and we were absolutely blown away. Julie follows a gluten-free and dairy-free diet, and this was hands down the best GF and DF dinner she has ever had. The flavors, presentation, and care put into each dish were exceptional.
I ordered a regular entrée (the Green Circle Airline Chicken breast) and was equally impressed — it’s clear that Lila is dedicated to delivering a high-quality experience for all diners, no matter their dietary preferences.
To top it all off, we shared the GF and DF Key Lime pie for dessert, and it was exquisite! — creamy, tangy, and the perfect finish to a memorable meal.
Thank you, Lila, for making us feel so welcome and for proving that gluten-free and dairy-free food can be both indulgent and refined. We’ll be dreaming about this meal for a long time, and look forward to coming back!
Great place, food is delicious 🤤 gluten free & vegan. Every time we are in Sarasota that’s our HAPPY 😃 PLACE. Our servers Andrey and Matt were great explaining the menu and advise us options. This was the weekend of Saturday May 3rd - Monday May 5th, 2025.

This place exceeded expectations. Excellent food, drinks and service. We started with raw clams and spicy margaritas and then had two pasta dishes for entrees. My partner is gluten free and they offer gluten free pasta which was great! Everything tasted and was presented beautifully. Serving sizes were very generous - I took at least half my entree home! Our server was friendly, professional and quick. We will be back!
100/10, absolutely excellent. Especially if you have Celiac and have to be gluten free -- they have GOT YOU. This is one of the largest gluten free menus I've ever been able to order from that wasn't a dedicated GF restaurant. We got the drunken shrimp, chicken risotto, and smores budino, and it was so good! There were five or six GF deserts I could've chosen too, which is unheard of. The gluten free bread alone won me over. It was so incredible, even my husband loved it.
The wine is delicious -- we joined the wine club and got the seasonal dragonfruit sangria, as well as the white sangria. Highly recommend!! Bonita at the wine tasting bar took care of us, she has the best personality and laugh, such a joy. 🥰 Give this woman a raise! Also Casey W, our waitress, for the great service and taking care of my GF needs.
We had such a great experience, we definitely recommend. Top 3 restaurant in the Tampa/St. Pete/Saraota area for us.
We visited from TN and we can't wait to come back and eat here again. The food is fresh and healthy. So many gluten free options too since my husband has celiac and I am gluten intolerant. The staff are so nice and willing answer any questions you have. Definitely a 10 out of 10 ☺️
As someone who is gluten free- having several clearly marked choices on menu is always comforting and helpful.
Food was delicious. Our table got enchiladas, birria tacos and queso fundido. All of it was very good. Tacos were some of the best I’ve had.
Also our server Daniela was very friendly and attentive.
Will definitely return.
Picked up my 2 large pizzas, 1 gluten free pizza and a Greek salad one hour prior to closing- the Greek salad was bland and non of the ingredients were chopped- the gluten free pizza was probably the best GF pizza I’ve ever had. My family said the regular pizzas were good. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a good pizzas place.
Amazing place! I am vegan and gluten free this place offers everything you can imagine and more! Vegan food is beyond good. I don’t even know how they create such a delicious food! Thank you Ka Pappa! Highly recommend it and I am definitely coming back 🌱
We ordered 4 pizzas to dine in. One was gluten free. She brings 3 pizzas out. We wait for 25 minutes and ask where the gluten free pizza was. She said this is it. We asked why she put it in front of another couple. It was 3/4 eaten. She said she would order another gluten free. 1/2 hour later I asked another waiter where the gluten free pizza was. I then said give us our bill. Paid the bill and needless to say she got no tip. It was like she didn’t want to be there. Not attentive. Very poor service. She took the pizza off our bill and we never got the one that was reordered.

WELL THE YARD HOUSE IS TOP TIER I WILL SAY. GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS ARE AMAZING, THE BARQUE BACON BURGER IS AMAZING HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I THINK IT WAS THE JUICEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD. WOULDVE LIKED A LITTLE BETTER SERVICE BUT THE PLACE IS GREAT. GOOOO TOOOO YARDDD HOUSEEEE
My husband and I ordered 2 pizzas while we were in vacation just down the street. We ordered through the slip app and had them deliver. I have to eat gluten free and so paid for the gluten free crust. The pizzas arrived and I ate 3 slices. It tasted good but then I realized it was the same size and looked like the same crust as my husbands regular. I didn’t eat any more but unfortunately had a strong reaction and now have had body aches for over 24 hrs. When I contacted them through Slice, they said that they didn’t make a mistake and then said they couldn’t see the pictures I sent.
Mistakes happen, but this wasn’t just a wrong topping. Not happy with product or the service after.
They have an excellent happy hour! Also the most delicious homemade gluten free pita. The tzatziki dip is the best I've ever had and saganaki is a childhood favorite. Highly recommend this location.
We had a bunch of food allergies at the table and the manager was really nice and gave us a bunch of options. He was also able to modify the gluten free and vegan options to include meat easily.
Our server Ashley was great! She was great with our son and very attentive even though it was really busy. The food is great, the kids meal is a great value and great quality. Love that they have gluten-free and dairy free options (except dessert 😞)
Love that the menu changes with the season too. It's super busy on the weekend, they should open one closer to Parrish
My first time here. The perfect choice and a great evening. The food was delicious. I’m celiac as well as having a dairy allergy. My waitress Julia couldn’t have been more accommodating. She made sure my meal was perfect. Very friendly and professional. Top notch service! Brian the manager was excellent. He too made sure I had the best service as well as making me feel like family while there. I was celebrating my birthday and he went out of his way to make the evening a great one for me. Great restaurant and great staff. Highly recommended :)
The lovely woman that helped us was so informative and gave us a peace of mind knowing we were getting gluten free food and the pizza and wings were amazing. Wings were some of the best I've ever had
Awesome pizza, very unique and tasty pizza selection and variety. (Regular classics and Thai/Mexican/etc).
The best customer service of any restaurant ive been to, every time i go there. Restaurant manager and servers are super attentive, friendly and pleasant
Very consistently excellent food and service, never disappointed.
Also gluten-free options for people with Celiac's.
TOP MEDITERRANEAN!!!!
This place is incredible! Everything we ordered was beyond amazing!
My friend has severe gluten allergy and this restaurant has SO many options for her to choose from, she even had her first GF pita wrap, she was so excited.
Wifey & I got the Lemonatto Lamb and grilled octopus and lemme tell ya each dish was a knockout.
Flavors so divine they will burn in your memory, do yourself a favor.
Looking for the great pizza? Lucile has got it. Pizza oven puts out the best crust! All fresh local ingredients. Choose from their menu choices or create your own. Plant Based... got you covered with many choices. Small intimate atmosphere, not noisy. Serves wine only, great selection. This is a great choice for everyone as they have choices for plant based, gluten free and vegetarians and meat eaters. Service was fantastic too!
We kept saying how had we never been here before! The open faced roast beef sandwich was unbelievable and the sweet potato fries come with apple butter to dip with- so good! There is some history to the place our server told us about and most things can be done gluten free. We will be coming back frequently!
Restaurant right on the water with lots of covered and not-covered seats. You can sit and enjoy all the boats going by. It gets busy so expect a bit of a wait, but you can grab a drink from the bar and wait at the picnic tables by the dock. The staff was super friendly, and the food was good. The Cesar salad with Mahi was ok, not great, but the veggie burger was really tasty. And they have gluten free burger buns.
Chad was an amazing server! He was very attentive, knew the menu well, and was helpful with gluten-free options for a family member with celiac disease.
Most gluten free options on a delicious menu than we've seen in a long time. Gluten free CRAB CAKES!!! Who makes those?! This place does and they are excellent! The Gluten free pans Cotta dessert was one of the best gf desserts I've ever had.
Service was wonderful and the atmosphere & decor are top notch. If you are looking for a very special restaurant...you've found it!
GLUTEN FREE SAFE!! First off, I never write online reviews but I feel compelled to do so with Stiks. This restaurant has quickly become one of our favorite spots to eat at in Sarasota. The food is always made fresh (and fast), everyone is always SUPER friendly and the place is decorated with a very chill vibe and ALWAYS kept clean.
Both my wife and daughter have Celiac disease and cannot tolerate any cross contamination. I'm here to tell others with the same disease that this place is very safe for you to eat at. They've never been cross contaminated here and we always enjoy the food. This place IMO is a hidden gem in Sarasota and especially for those that wish they can eat this kind of food but fear cross contamination. I highly recommend you give it a try, you won't regret it!
Had a wonderful family dinner. Great unique dinners that are not at other restaurants. Very accommodative for gluten free selecvisit. Wonderful waitress, Sam. Price was great. Well worth the vusit.
As much as I love Culver's, recently I've been having a major problem as I have to be gluten-free. They forgot about half of my order like the toppings I've ordered and then they forget the condiments. Their food is delicious though that's why I keep going back
wow ! Juliet really sucks at her job and being a kind person in general!
honestly this whole store sucks and the staff is so rude.
i ordered a grilled spicy chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun and received a deluxe grilled sandwich with a normal bun. i drove all the way back to have it corrected. i really didnt mind assuming they would be kind about it, but i then had to wait in a 15 minuet line again, i even was accused of trying to get a free sandwich and they had to go through my entire bag just to realize it was in fact their issue and not mine. we waited for another 10 minuets to finally get the new sandwich without any apologies or a free side or free sandwich card like the one on Vamo gives out when they make a mistake. They were genuinely so rude me and my boyfriend drove away with a completely ruined mood and felt like it was a huge waste of time but just let it go...
today i went back to get the same spicy grilled sandwich with gluten free bun and was AGAIN given a regular grilled sandwich with no bun at all. i waited 15 minuets for my food to come out even after a 10 minuet drive so it was frustrating having to go back again for the exact same issue. but i went back and waited in the very long disorganized line and again accused of trying to get a free sandwich, they had to go through my whole bag and kept sending out the same poor highschooler out to grab the sticker, then again to get the bag, then again to get the sandwich, then again to give me the new sandwich. i didnt receive any free card for my now 30 minuet wait because of THEIR mistake. so i decided to call the store and spoke with Juliet (maybe julia idk) and wow! she is a really bad shift supervisor! i feel so bad for whatever highschoolers are stuck dealing with her on their shift. she was rude, condescending and when i explained the situation basically accused me of trying to get a free sandwich again and offered a very fake apologies and said nothing further. i asked her for some type of refund or free meal card considering i have waisted now over half an hour dealing with THEIR mistake thats now happened 2 days in a row. she said she can offer an apology and thats all.
look. i used to work as a shift supervisor at starbucks and many other little places throughout my years so i completely understand the balance of trying to make the customer happy while also making your boss happy while also meeting company standards and policies... ALL while getting paid a completely unlivable wage... i get it. i really didnt mind going back, i understand people make mistakes and i always appreciated when people were patient with me at starbucks when me or my team made a mistake. i also offered them a free drink and a very genuine apology because i understand we all live busy lives.
but juliet not only was just completely bad at her job and customer service but she was honestly just a mean, condescending rude and un kind person. she doesn't deserve to be a shift or even work at a company that preaches Christian values of kindness and love. its honestly ridiculous that i had to fight for a damn free meal card when this location always screws something up and is wasting now hours of my life.
i could honestly go on and on about how horrible this experience with juliet was but if the owner or regional manager is seeing this, you should understand by now there is an issue with this branch and the people you have running it when your not there. i just wanted a kind interaction and maybe a free lemonade card or something simple to make up for all the wasted time. instead i get a cold sandwich 30 minuets later that i should have gotten in the first place.
and juliet, fix your attitude. your a grown adult capable of being kind. you messed up, take accountability and move on like a mature woman. instead of being condescending because you hate your life and your job. grow up.
Great place to eat! I can always count on Bonefish Grill when I'm hungry and need something tasty and filling. I'm gluten free and they have a dedicated menu for us GF peeps.
Servers are always friendly and attentive. I always get the sirloin and shrimp with the garlic potatoes. Make sure to try the chimmichurri, it's wonderful with the steak and shrimp! Everyone in my family gets the same thing because it's so tasty. And yes, it's on the gluten free menu.
There's also gluten free desserts, there are two you can enjoy: The Macadamia Nut Brownie and the Creme Brûlée.
Great atmosphere, service, consistently great food, dietary restriction friendly... What's not to love? This place is a staple for my household.
Mckenna was our server and she was amazing! My burger was delish and the gluten free bun wasn’t bad. I sat outside. I likely would t have wanted to eat inside as very loud and cold. I’ll be back for the steak!
My wife and I love Thai food and have been to a ton of Thai restaurants. Living in St. Petersburg, we hadn't tried Isan previously. We will certainly find reasons to drive here again. Outstanding. Also, the menu has clearly marked what is or is not gluten free. Try the Thai Papaya salad. Excellent! Service was outstanding also.
The place is really nice inside, and the lake view is amazing. They have an awesome pizza selection — including our favorite gluten-free one. Tons of great salads too, and don’t even get me started on the pastries… so good!
We absolutely loved our experience at Kojo Sarasota, hands down the best sushi in town!
Beautiful salon, bar and high tables as well, gets very crowded but still feels spacious enough.
The food was outstanding!!
Every dish was packed with great flavors and well prepared. You can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite, which makes the whole experience even better.
Great menu, The sushi rolls were outstanding, and the seaweed crunchy taco was such a fun and delicious surprise.
We also tried the greens and Brussels sprouts, and they were incredible too, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done.
The cocktails were top-notch, crafted with high quality products and creativity.
On top of that, the service was excellent — everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere is elegant and classy, with a beautiful design that makes it perfect for a special night out.
We celebrated a birthday, and Kojo made it unforgettable with a complementary dessert and some bubbly, a thoughtful and classy touch!
They also offer a separate gluten-free menu, which is a huge plus.
Overall, we had an awesome time, a very unique experience and can’t wait to come back and try other delicious dishes.
5 stars for this great restaurant.
Truly the best sushi experience in Sarasota!
We visited for the first on Mother's Day for lunch. It was not very crowded. The atmosphere and decor were casual. Everything was clean. The server was friendly and efficient. The food was amazing! I had the chicken pesto sandwich, which was a generous size, moist and flavorful. Gluten free buns were available! We sampled some appetizers. The Brussels sprouts were so good, as were the hush puppies, pretzels and house made beer cheese dip. I was impressed at the quality standards. Grassfed beef, sustainably sourced seafood, organic produce and even biodegradable cutlery. And, to top it off, they gave me a complimentary brownie a'la mode with strawberries!! We WILL be back!

Food was ok. Not what i hoped for. The menu sounds delish. I read online that they had Gluten free options. Essentially it is there regular food but without bun or tortilla. My server was Medicore she was here to to the job and nothing more, but maybe it was an off day. We all have those. Atmosphere was great. Love music outside. I did sit inside but they have all the doors open so you still get the outside vibe.
Our waiter, Paul, was absolutely amazing. I have a gluten allergy and he was able to tell me what did and didn’t have gluten, including sauces, and provided me with a gluten free BBQ sauce since none of their other BBQ sauces on the table are gluten free. He was extremely kind as well!
My wife has celiacs which can make finding a decent meal hard when traveling for work. We found this pizza shop just down the road from our AirBNB and what a gem! The pizza was fresh and delicious and the gluten free options were as good as we've ever tasted. The folks were also super polite and it's clear this is a labor of love. We'll definitely be back before leaving town!
The staff have been very knowledgeable and helpful with all my Celiac gluten precautions and questions. They have a gluten free bun, so most burgers can be made gluten-free. I prefer to order at the counter register so I can talk to a staff member and clarify preparation process and ingredients. I always have to ask those things in case something has changed, and they are so patient and nice. Seriously, the customer service has been fantastic.
There's a shared fryer, so I can't have the fries. And the shacksauce has spices and natural flavors without origin, so I skip that. But the gluten-free bun hasn't fallen apart on me and the burgers are delicious, so that's a win!
If you have gluten issues and are craving a quick and yummy burger, I definitely recommend this location of Shake Shack.
