I had two tapioca sandwiches and a guava spritz, all of which were delicious. As someone with celiac, I am not used to eating good bread, but the tapioca bread of the sandwiches was tasty, pliable, and did not crumble at all. They were so good that unfortunately I ate them both before taking a picture. It was also very affordable— if I had not gotten a drink, my meal would have been around 15€ I think. Phenomenal meal overall, would 100% recommend.

In itself, it's a great idea that there is a gluten-free option. However, the very young staff are untrained and unfamiliar with contamination, which is important for people with celiac disease. So they couldn't tell me if the gluten-free brownie was completely gluten-free or if it came into contact with products containing gluten when I ordered one. Since the operator himself advertised his store on a celiac disease platform in the past, I cannot understand this.

I've known this ice cream parlor since childhood, and now that I live 350km away but regularly visit family and friends, a visit to Eisgamba is a staple on my itinerary.

The owners are very friendly and know their stuff! Particularly worth mentioning, and important for me for health reasons, as I have celiac disease: You can safely enjoy gluten-free food here!!! That's something you rarely experience otherwise. The owners themselves know exactly what to look for to ensure ice cream with cones (which are available here in gluten-containing and gluten-free versions) are served without contamination. When I asked, they very kindly showed me how the ice cream containers are protected from crumbs. The ice cream scoops are placed in a container with a constant flow of fresh water and a constant drain. Contamination is definitely impossible here!
Of course, you should mention before ordering that you need gluten-free food (incidentally, they also offer several lactose-free ice cream flavors). You'll even get a gluten-free cookie with it.
The owners and staff are knowledgeable, and new employees are trained accordingly. I witnessed this myself.
