I had only been to Impellizzeri's once, may years ago, but I've had to avoid gluten for the past 19 years so my pizza options can be limiting. Impellizzeri's was a killer experience. The Bianco on a gf crust, grassfed meatballs, and the antipasto salad were all perfect. The staff was super friendly and it was a great dining experinece. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

This was our first time at a Carrabbas in 20 years. Having Celiac I was impressed with how many gluten free options they had. I got the pollo Rosa Maria and it was very salty. The manager walked by and asked how our meal was and I mentioned it was great but over salted. I love salty food but even for me it was a lot. I was surprised that she comped my meal and offered to get me something else. I still ate most of it and used the mashed potatoes to cover up the saltiness.
The ambiance and cleanliness was great! Our server didn’t seem like he liked his job very much and his tone made it sound like he was bored and didn’t love his job. My husband even cracked a joke about it after he took our order.
All in all, I think we’ll go back again to try it out another time.

This restaurant was great on so many levels!!!
None of us expected to be as good as it was, we thought it was going to be just your typical pizza place, but it was so much more!!! We ordered, Spaghetti and meatballs, Lasagna and a gluten free pizza and everything was incredible!!! Our waitress Abbie was phenomenal as well!!! Highly recommend!!!

I can't eat pizza crust - not even gluten free. Impellizeri's doesn't need it. My family gets to eat their glorious full-crust pizza, and I take the generous toppings off and can eat them like a slice. That's how good. Atmosphere, bleh. But I ain't eating atmosphere yet.

Volare is an up-scale italian restaurant. There's not much more to say! The food is great and mostly unsurprising, the bartenders serve fantastic drinks and the servers are polite and generally knowledgable.
If you're looking for a night out with solid food, drink and service this is it.
As a person with Celiac disease (gluten allergy) they offer a large portion of thier menu without dreaded flour and even have pasta substitutions for all but the lasagne. I've never been glutened to my knowledge and I leave feeling satisfied.
Here are some of the nitpicks, the building and decor itself could use an overhaul or cleanup as particleboard ceilings and 15 year old decor dont lend itself much style. The menu itself is very standard fare as well, but perhaps the predictability is a plus for some diners.

Louisville is a city of great diversity of people and food choices. At the end of our stay in Louisville, I craved to try another Italian restaurant, mainly because it was very close to our hotel in the Germantown area. Sarino's is an authentic dine in, full bar Italian restaurant. We chose to sit outside on the patio among the trees. Overhead fans slowly spun above us moving the robust tomato/garlic smells that came from inside the restaurant to our table. Of particular interest to those who are on a gluten free diet ... you're in luck. Sarino's make all their pasta in house and offer gluten free dishes of all pasta except lasagna. Besides pasta , Sarino's offers a wide variety of pizzas made in their wood burning ovens. Having traveled to Italy, I can vouch that the sauces and flavors are real Italian. Our great server, Kenni recommended what she thought was the house favorite ... vodka sauce pasta. Buon appetito!! She knew a good thing.I had it, paired with a great Caesar salad and a shared bottle of Baron Ricasoli Reserva Chianti. What a night to remember. Thank you, Sarino's, for the great service and food. There is ample parking and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays.

One of our children has celiac disease requiring gluten-free food. I ordered her gluten-free pizza and mentioned that it is medical. When the waitress came out with her meal, she made sure to let us know that they had changed gloves wiped down their area and used a clean pizza cutter to reduce cross contamination. We are so appreciate their thoughtfulness and will definitely be back.

I will no longer recommend Martini’s. For the second time, my husband made reservations and placed an advanced order for my gluten free lasagna only for us to arrive and not have a reservation on file, not the gluten free lasagna. Will definitely be finding a different Italian restaurant. The manager was not even apologetic.

Came down to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby. Made reservations at Porcini for Friday night! Although it being extremely busy and is having to wait for a table everything was spectacular.
The staff was excellent, our waiter was awesome and the food was phenomenal!
They had a limited menu due to it being derby week - but the variety of options was enough to satisfy all 10 people in our party, including 1 who was gluten free.
The only negative was the moscato wine, was not sweet - which I questioned and was told that's what they had.....but I drank it anyway!
I got the penne chicken carbonara which was the best I ever had! My husband got the grilled shrimp risotto - which he said was so wonderful.
The atmosphere was delightful, super crowded due to it being Derby week - but I truly felt like I was in Italy - so super cool!
10/10 recommendation!!!

My fiance and I took my boys and her grandson here for dinner.
We didn't have reservations since it was a last minute idea. It didn't matter, because the place wasn't even half full. We were seated immediately.
The atmosphere:
You can tell it had been somewhat impressive at one point, but now is looking tired, dirty, crumbling and rusty. Note to restaurants going with the open ceiling structure painted black: You need to clean this structure on occasion 😉 Our table was a large round table which fit us well. The table featured a white linen tablecloth, but they topped it off with sheets of white paper ( I guess to immolate an Italian eatery?) The papers kept shifting and were not conforming to the table edges. I had to bend and fold them so they weren't messing with food and drinks. We ordered an assortment of items. I and one of my sons had Chicken parm-eroni. The chicken was crisp and tasty. The pasta was cooked properly. That's where it stopped being good. The noodles were tossed with parmigiano and little else it seemed. They topped it with a tomato relish of some sort. It was totally insufficient to complement this Italian staple. I asked for a bowl of marinara to supplement. I and my son added it, but the marinara wasn't tasty itself, so I didn't eat but half. My oldest son ordered a cheese pizza. Can't screw that up right? Oh, yeah they did. It was grossly undercooked and was literally dripping in oil. Grabbing one piece and lifting it the piece just hung like wet drippy cardboard. Couldn't tell you if the taste was good because it was so unappealing nobody would attempt eating it. My fiancé requires gluten free. I asked the waitress twice for a gluten free menu and she finally returned to say "Oh yeah, anything here can be made gluten free but the lasagna. Wrong. The noodles? Perhaps. How about the sauces, the breading etc? No, they couldn't. The others meals were average.
The service:
This was awful. I'm not a "Karen". I give wide birth to servers etc because I know things can go crazy in the service industry. She piled the table with drinks. That was her only saving grace. I spent half the meal trying to get proper service. The gluten free menu request was just the beginning. She was not super busy. We observed her walking to and from empty handed and aimlessly.
Added note* There's a big banner out front "Happy Hour...." We were there during the alotted time but we're informed "Sorry that's only for drinks at the bar". The "bar" sits in the middle of the restaurant and was small as well as EMPTY. That told us "We really don't want to do happy hour and we certainly don't want you to order a cocktail. So we didn't.
I would avoid this aging relic of a good opportunity missed.

My girlfriend and I went to this Fazoli‘s and ordered the Gluten Friendly Chicken Pesto Rotini and Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken (as seen in the picture below). Everything was absolutely delicious! As someone who is on a gluten-free diet, eating out can be a pain as it is quite difficult to find restaurants with even just one gluten-free meal. I was so excited to see a gluten-free option on the menu.
The Gluten Friendly Chicken Pesto Rotini was very flavorful. It had a strong garlic taste without being too overwhelming. The rotini was also cooked well and tasted really good for gluten-free pasta. My girlfriend loved her Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. She said that it had lots of sauce and wasn’t too dry, it was flavorful, and really creamy. So, those are both great options and recommended highly from us!
We were both very happy with not only the food, but as well as the service. The lady who took our order and brought out our food, Denise, was very helpful and friendly. She made us feel very comfortable dining in. Thank you, Denise!
