Overall Rating 4.5
Urban Egg is that brunch spot if you're in Colorado Springs. The vibe is welcoming, the menu is stacked with unique options (including GF-friendly ones), and the staff? 10/10.
I ordered The Cure (it's a pineapple, vanilla, OJ, coconut water bev) and yes, it did cure me. Light, refreshing,, juicy, and not overly sweet. Also had the hazelnut cold brew, which was super tasty and gave me life.
For food, we went with the Denver Bot Chicken Benedict Bliss. Originally thought it could be made gluten-free and was sad it couldn’t be, but they baked it for me instead and it was still so good. The flavors were spot on, and now I’m just out here dreaming of a GF version with that crispy fried batter. Manifesting that for next time.
Also tried the Ultimate Breakfast Sando with turkey bacon + avo. Solid sandwich, but I’m a thick sourdough or croissant for breakfast sando kinda person, so the bread wasn't exactly my thing. Still tasty, just a personal preference.
Overall: amazing staff, thoughtful menu, and tons of great GF options. Which isn’t always easy to find. Would def come back (and next time I’m trying a pancake flight).
The restaurant has premade gluten free crusts they can use for the pizza and to make cheesy bread. You can definitely tell the crust is pre-made but the toppings tasted fresh and they had some of the best gf cheesy bread I’ve had in Colorado Springs! The salad I got on the side was also large and filling and they use a separate baking dish for gluten free items + will change gloves and be careful about cross contact.
If you’re looking for a JUICY gluten free fried chicken sandwich, this is the place! All their fried chicken is gluten free and they only fry gluten free items. They have some gluten in the restaurant (like gluten buns) but are careful with cross contact. My chicken sandwich was crispy on the outside, super juicy on the inside, and the gluten free bun was fluffy and held together well. The tater tots were super crispy and our food came out quickly. Will def be back!
If you’re looking for a quick, convenient bite while exploring downtown Colorado Springs, this is a great spot to stop for breakfast or lunch. Most of the menu can be made gluten free and they have which options can be gluten free marked on the menu. They also indicate when gluten & dairy free is not possible. It is a shared kitchen but they are careful with cross contact, including making the gluten free baked goods with fresh equipment and ingredients and baking at a different time.
Classic skirted heifer on a gluten free bun with Belgian fries. Did not disappoint. Great flavor and wonderful service. Had the homemade chocolate custard for dessert. Rich, creamy and delicious.
Cannot recommend this place enough for anyone with celiac. It is pricy, but the food is amazing and they have some of the softest gluten free buns. They also have dedicated fryers, TATER TOTS, and all their sauces are gluten free. Ordering the salmon burger with no glaze, gf bun, tater tot’s and the aioli for dipping is my fave!
We went here because they offer gluten free options. The pizza was just ok — didn’t live the crust. The Reuben was quite good - I like mine with mustard instead of thousand island, so got it like that.
We went around lunch time, not busy at all. We only ordered dessert, as we don’t like cheese or the entree offerings. This was our first time visiting The Melting Pot in over 7 years, I was surprised that they offer gluten free items—this was a good surprised. I appreciated the care and attention to make sure everything was gluten free.
Ordered 2 gluten free pizzas Friday night for pick up.
Pros the pizzas taste amazing, the flavors were complimentary and the crust was fairly good for a gluten free crust.
Cons: they were $40 each! For 2 large pizzas I payed $81+ .
I do not believe that the quality of the pizzas were at the level of $20+ per pizza. Yes they were good, but almost $90 for two pies is ridiculous. Lesson learned I will not be ordering from here again.
Pricy but delicious place for breakfast or lunch! We got the gluten free French toast flight which they make with canyon bakehouse white bread + their breakfast bowls that are naturally gluten free. They cook gluten free orders in a different area of the griddle, change gloves and modify dishes as needed to ensure they are gluten free.
Highly recommend this place! Atmosphere was great and family friendly. I am gluten and dairy free and the server was knowledgeable and helpful to find options for me. Their cider is delicious!!! Food was great and we would recommend!
They have gluten free and/or dairy free ice cream flavors clearly marked on the main menu and keep sealed pints of each flavor for allergy orders that they use a clean scooper for. The employee was super educated on allergens & happy to take the extra couple minutes to get my ice cream from the separate pint. We loved my gluten & dairy free pb chocolate ice cream & my bf’s salted peanut butter ice cream!
What a fun little spot! We were visiting from out of town and I was craving some fries and my husband wanted a really good burger. The Green Line didn't disappoint!
I have food allergies so I was happy to learn they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for the fries. I also had the green chili and used it as a dip for the fries. It was delicious!
My husband went back for a second night in a row for a burger and said they were great!
There was only one person we interacted with, but he was friendly and helpful.
Gluten-intolerants/celiacs stay away! My partner and I chose this pub because the menu was clearly labeled for food allergies, so we thought it would be safe — NO. We ordered GF items but weren’t feeling well before we left the restaurant and spent the next 1.5 days sick, nauseous and in pain. Absolutely horrible! And the food itself was subpar — very oily and bland. I’m not sure what happened but we definitely won’t be back. PS We aren’t celiacs, but are gluten intolerant. Not a fan of leaving poor reviews, but I’d never want someone else to get this sick!

We had the egg rolls as a starter. They were delicious and enough to share between 4 adults. Then we had the Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice for dinner. It tasted so fresh and yummy! Then we had the chocolate cake for dessert. It was the perfect ending to an amazing dinner. Everything we had was gluten free! The owners are so knowledgeable and nice. They source their foods locally when possible and also buy fresh meats locally. We will certainly go back!
They have a gluten free menu with lots of options. The creamy tomato soup was gluten free and very delicious. The paninos were out of this world. You’d never know the dough was gluten free, and they are perfectly sized. I loved dipping my paninio in ranch, but marinara was also tastey. I have zero complaints about this place.
We love B&R!! I have some odd dietary restrictions in addition to being gluten free. Executive Chef Nick executes flawlessly with exquisite taste!
Highly recommended!
As someone with strict dietary needs due to a medical condition, dining out is something I rarely do — not because I don’t enjoy it, but because the anxiety that comes with asking for special accommodations can be overwhelming. Most of the time, I leave restaurants feeling like a burden, or worse, unsafe about what I’ve eaten. But today was different.
I visited this restaurant not knowing what to expect, and what I found was nothing short of incredible.
From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable without me even needing to explain anything first.
After a thoughtful conversation with the kitchen and staff, they recommended a gluten-free grilled chicken sandwich (something that’s off menu)— and let me tell you, it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever had. Every component was delicious, and it was clear that care went into not just the preparation, but the entire process of making it safe for me to enjoy.
They didn’t rush me, didn’t treat me like a problem, and didn’t make me feel “different.” Instead, they treated me like a valued guest.
This experience gave me something I don’t often get at restaurants: peace of mind — and even joy. I left feeling full, not just from the food, but from the kindness and dignity with which I was treated.
If you have dietary restrictions, or even if you just want a great meal made with care, I can’t recommend this place enough. They’ve earned not just my business, but my gratitude. I wish I would have gotten everyone’s names so I can name them directly, but everyone was just so kind which can be hard to find these days.
Thank you.
White Pie is The Spot for pizza SO dang good, you can't even tell the difference between their gluten-free and gluten-full pies. Sam was a hands down top notch server, def ask for her!

The food sucks. I mean I guess you come here to drink. The drinks are okay. This place needs a deep clean. The staff is always nice and attentive. Love the atmosphere just wish the food was better. More gluten free options as well. We come here a lot so it sucks not having more than one or two options.
I’m so happy I found this place. Well, I haven’t been in person, but was able to get it delivered through DoorDash. Delicious and flavorful taste, in my country we have a food call “lomito árabe” that I have been craving so having something similar in taste and look (I ordered the beef gyro and some others) was a win for me. Only thing that would suggest and would love to see more is specific description of ingredients in each food of the menu, because for people that are not familiar with Mediterranean/creek cuisine like me would not know what is/are the ingredients in the beef gyro, you’ll know it has beef but what about the extra ingredients, like the sauce in it, same with Dolmas, tzatziki sauce and baklava, what are the things that make baklava a baklava lol, some has descriptions, but VERY few. Is it gluten or other allergies/sensitives friendly or not? So one can have peace of mind ordering, knowing the food is safe and friendly according to each case.
For example, the rice I ordered, in the menu the photo showed a white rice top with greens, but I actually received yellow rice with potatoes, carrot, cinnamon and other spices over it. I didn’t mind because I have a very adventurous palate and in South America we share kind of same spices and ingredients. That being said, the food was amazing.
I am gluten-free dairy free and have had a hard time finding places to eat. I had the tacos and they were incredibly good. Definitely going to come back to try more options.
What a great little find! We were visiting from out of town and I have a long list of food allergies. I was happy to find this spot and that the falafel is vegan and Gluten Free.
They were perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside.
My partner and I enjoyed the cuisine and the atmosphere very much. Their menu has unique dishes and the flavors are delicious. Very glad that they specifically mark which dishes on their menu are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. Some dishes contain nuts, but that is also made very clear on the menu.
Really enjoyed Toastique and really appreciate that they have gluten free options for their toast! I ordered the 3 cheese Italian and it was delicious. The peanut butter crunch was a nice dessert toast to split and not too sweet! The table next to us ordered the smashed avocado and that looked phenomenal. Service was friendly and quick. Will definitely be back to try all the toast!
This is one of my favorite places to get tacos downtown! I love the food and the atmosphere. I had such a great experience this past weekend. The chef that was there that night was an absolute sweetheart! My drink and food were amazing! It can be a bit on the pricey side though. I would highly recommend the chocolate gluten free cake! It really shocked me how good it was! The Sopapillas were delicious!!! I love cheese so the queso was a must for me and was perfect! I got the Pineapple Express taco which was good but will probably try someone else next time. My sangria swirl was just the right touch of everything! Would highly recommend checking them out!
stopped by for a quick drink while traveling through and had a great bartender! loaded fries aren't gluten free, so I substituted sweet potato fries. they have fried pickle spears instead of chips and my boyfriend loved them!
My wife and I came in and had the 7 course meal, hers being prepared gluten free. We also order wine and cocktails.
The staff was welcoming and explained each dish very well. It was not a very busy night, so it was nice to have met and been taken care of everyone on staff. As someone who works in the F&B world I want to give this place and the chefs some serious praise.
The courses that we had brought an interesting contemporary style dance party on my tastebuds, great play on the savory dishes to finishing off with a great dessert, I am not a sweet tooth type of person, but the dessert round blew me away.
No joke, after the meal I felt like I was the food critic from ratatouille, I was smiling ear to ear on how pleased I was.
I could tell there is a lot of passion in this tucked away loft and I am thankful for the experience. It is pricey, but worth it and if you see anyone complaining in the reviews below, they can go suck some ducks because they are just complaining to complain.
City Dogs is the spot to go for a delicious NY style hot dog.
They also make their own peppercorn and teriyaki beef jerky. By far the best jerky I have ever had and there is a gluten free selection! With fast and friendly service, good vibes, this is the hot spot to go for your DAWG:
I'm pretty saddened by my first visit back after Rico's closed last year. The only place I really wanted back was RICO'S! But guess what - a giant sign on the front door that "MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE due to the delta variant" shows that they aren't like everywhere else in Colorado Springs. They might be THE ONLY PLACE IN COLORADO SPRINGS FOR DINING THAT REQUIRES MASKS FOR EVERYONE. Bummer. They were completely empty tonight. Gluten free options limited to only the macaroons. I am gluten free and also need food, not just cookies. Their wi-fi on the patio wasn't up to par, so I had to come inside. Not the Rico's I used to know. Won't be back.
