Non Gluten Eaters— This review is for you. We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner where we could watch a hockey game and I could eat decent food as a gluten free eater.
Taverna Rossa had a good amount of TVs and a gluten free menu to make those options accessible and easy to find. They verified whether I had an allergy.
I tried the chips & queso, which I enjoyed. The GF vegan pizza crust was decent and the amount of toppings on it was a good balance.
I also tried a cider and their root beer on tap.
The service was good (even helping me find a good table to have multiple views of TVs for our party). Great that the restrooms were clean too.
I’d definitely recommend trying out this place if you’re looking for either of these things!
Excellent food, great atmosphere! Burger in a bowl was a much better version than any other restaurant's bunless burger that I can think of. I'm not sure why no burger places have low-carb buns. They all seem to cater to gluten-free, but there are way more people low carb than gluten-free out there.
Been here many times and love that we can get gluten-free meatballs and pizza, as well as various pastas. Everything tastes phenomenal. The last two times we were there our server was Jim, and he is beyond accommodating and attentive. We had two little girls with us and he was great with them. Great service makes all the difference. Thank you, Kenny's!
There were two of us eating with a gluten allergy. Mason was our server. He helped up find delicious food to accommodate. He happily went to the kitchen and made sure he was giving us good information. Try the candied bacon, edamame, pb&j burger and the tequila old fashion. Food, atmosphere and service was perfect. We’ll be back with my puppy dog!

Was informed that the items on the gluten free menu are not gluten free even though it says that. I got sick off their appetizer and the owner proceeded to tell me how my allergy should take 2-3 hours to cause symptoms - which is absolutely not true. They brought out the main meal while I was in the bathroom sick as anything even though I took my allergy meds to try to counteract it. I didn’t eat my meal but the owner said since they made it I need to pay for it. They also brought out my gluten free dish and put it in front of the other family member and put the gluten dish where I was sitting. The final thing was a female employee or manager tried stopping me from leaving accusing me of not paying even though I paid and even left the server a tip. Would never go here again.
Well, this a happy review. We have generally avoided this place since our first visit, but my Celiac daughter is in town from UT, and she had a hankering for a burger. We just realized that Rodeo Goat has a gluten free bun, so we tried it again. First of all, easy to find a seat. Open, warm, and inviting with several available seating options inside and outside. Seat yourself. Our waiter was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and respectfully attentive. Drinks came out on time, and the appetizer followed nicely along. Our main dishes were served at the exact same time, and they were hot and fresh. Lots of places have gluten-free buns, but very few have one that is worth going to. Bean, gave her bun a 9 out of 10! So, good job. The rest of the meals were very good. Chips and salsa were great, but I am not sure if they do free refills. All of the burgers were cooked to order, and special orders were respected and fulfilled. I particularly enjoyed my Cheese Fries Surprise with brisket chili. I substituted fries for tater-tots. That's my thing. They got all of the minor menu requests done exactly. We walked out with 4 enthusiastic thumbs up and left overs.

I wanted to send a huge thank you to Lindsey. When I was there last week, I let her know about my gluten allergy, and she was so incredibly considerate and helpful. She was one of the most thoughtful restaurant staff members I have met, and I’m so grateful to her!
Came here for my husband’s birthday and everyone was very thoughtful! They gave him a card and dessert and even offered to move our table if it was too loud. We had the gluten free flatbreads, which were excellent, and our server, Matar, was attentive and respectful.
This restaurant had five stars from my family until today. I ordered carryout for our typical order that’s $250+. My elementary school daughter is celiac and has to eat gluten free options. Her order tonight was terrible. We order this regularly, too. The pasta was far undercooked (crunchy, not merely al dente), and the sauce was an awfully sour and watery green mess. The cooks forgot half the recipe in the sauce, no pine nuts, no cheese, no capers. Very disappointing. Now, I have to source new food for her at 8:30 at night.
I am gluten free. The chef personally came to my table to make sure my meal would be cooked in such a way to not make me sick. He altered the recipe just slightly to allow me to eat something on the menu not normally gluten free. What a great experience.
I had the chicken avocado cesar salad and it was the best I’ve had! My daughter loves the gluten free macaroni with salmon and kale. I can’t wait to go back!
The gluten free bun is amazing! Tastes like real bread.
Before coming gluten free I’d get their normal bun and it’s one of my favorite normal buns out there.
The burger has never disappointed. The fries are good too. Not sure if they are considered GF or not.
The service has always been good too. We’ve never waited on our food for long when we’ve been.
I have a wheat allergy, making eating out, especially at a burger place, quite challenging. However, they were very accommodating at Twisted Root. They offer a gluten free bun for $2. Then for my side, I wanted something other than fries. I asked if the fried green beans and carrots are breaded. They are but they even offered to make them unbreaded for me. Top notch meal for under $20!!
Bulla was amazing and our server Yanira was fantastic - so warm and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable about the menu including gluten free items. She was thoughtful and attentive. The food was delicious. Highly recommend.
This was my first time at Mesero and it didn't disappoint! The food was great and the service was even better. They had gluten free items as well as vegetarian options so I was very happy.
And the cheeky sign in the bathroom made me laugh!!
I usually don’t like to post negative reviews, but this is the second time I have ordered the gluten free pepperoni pizza and it has been burnt. I am a little disappointed because it cost 30 dollars for a single serving. As someone who can’t enjoy gluten, I found your gf pizza to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the process of cooking it at your location is the issue here.
This was our first time eating at this location. We had heard great things so had high hopes. Honestly, this was average at best. We were promptly greeted and seated in a near empty restaurant. I asked about a gluten free menu and the person seating us recommended the Dutch Baby because "it is mostly egg". I moved on because it's obvious she had zero clue what gluten free is and decided to ask the waitress instead. I asked and she got a glazed over look on her face, so I took a chance and just ordered and hoped for the best. I had the buckwheat pancakes and bacon.
They were not done through. The outside was done, but gooey in the middle. All 3 of them. The bacon was tasty. My guy has the country breakfast (I think that's what it was called - biscuits with eggs and sausage covered in a miniscule amount of cream gravy). His only comment was "does yours have any flavor?"
As for service, our waitress came to get drink orders immediately. Then, the only thing we can figure out is she had to go pick, roast, and grind the coffee beans for my coffee and make the soda syrup for my guy's Diet Coke because it took so long for her to return a manager and no less than 4 other servers stopped by to ensure our drink order was taken. Service for the rest of the meal was equally slow. We got there at roughly 8:20 on a Sunday morning. We didn't linger after eating and didn't leave until close to 9:30 - there were only about 5-6 other tables occupied so it wasn't a matter of anything being backed up.
Overall I was underwhelmed by the whole experience.
Gluten free buns, great food.
I was shocked with how quickly we were served after ordering.
Hot, fast, and tasty.
Only wish the gluten free buns cost a days salary
Excellent burger place. They can pretty much make any burger vegetarian by replacing the patty with a vegetarian one.
But their appetizers that are fried are all done in beef lad. Very glad to know this from the waitress that attended our table.
Excellent service and our waitress, Sophia, was really good once she understood our vegetarian/vegan requirements. She suggested things and told us what we can and can't have. Very much thankful to Sophia.
The burgers are very well done and tasted good. You like heading there a bit spicy? Simply add either fresh or pickled jalapenos.
The ambience of the place is rustic, tough and dark - pretty cool and nice.
The gluten free chips are a bit salty but they are prepackaged and not made in house. Feel free to skip then altogether.
Great food and very attentive and kind waiters. I am gluten free and was so surprised by all of the different options. The gluten free pita is delicious!
Food was flavorful. I ordered the veggie omelette and hazelnut latte. Delightful amount of cheese and veggies. Received coffee refill in my latte for no extra charge! Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was just energetic enough for a breakfast! I was impressed there are options for gluten free meals.
I definitely recommend this place. They have many options.
Food is delicious, but service really makes it special. We placed an online order to pick up only to find the gluten free pasta was added to the wrong entree! We called and they only said they would remake it for us, but offered delivery. Will definitely be ordering / dinning here again!
This place is a gluten free and dairy free gem! Vegan options too. I enjoyed the gluten free modification of Vegan Bliss pancakes with a side of chicken sausage and 2 scrambled eggs and green tea with stevia. The chicken sausage pattie is homemade and so good I started looking it up on Pinterest how to make it. Server was super friendly and attentive. Order came out fast and omg it was such a treat and delicious. I will be back whenever I’m in town. This one gets a favorite tag.
I’m a huge fan of Olive Burger. My go to is the grilled chicken cayenne with avocado on a gluten-free bun (or lettuce wrapped, but that isn’t as fun)and sweet potato fries. Make sure you ask for the spicy ketchup too. For dessert, the pineapple dole whip or ice cream is a tasty treat.
This is a great fast casual Mexican food place. It is definitely a new go to when our family is craving tacos. They have wide selection of regular options and innovative Weekly specials.
It is also good with Gluten free selections also.
They accidentally gave me the wrong burger, but before I could even walk up to the counter to tell them, I was approached by (I think but never confirmed) the manager asking if everything was ok. I told him and he apologized profusely and said he would get it fixed in just a few minutes. All I was hoping for was the right burger, but he went above and beyond to make it right. I've had worse experiences at other restaurants without an offer to even make it right, so I fully appreciate this level of customer care. The only thing that could have made for a better experience was if I didn't have to eat my burger on a gluten free bun, but that's my own fault.
This was my first time eating here due to a coworker’s recommendation since I’m working close to this location today. I’m so glad I decided to give this place a try! I usually go to True Food Kitchen which has lacked in flavor & quality the last several times.
The service was excellent as soon as I walked in. Sahir helped me and made recommendations. I ordered the Peruvian Steak Sandwich based on one of his recommendations and it was AMAZING! The portion was huge! Every bite was filled with fresh, deliciously seasoned, tender steak with a spicy Aoli. It definitely has a “kick” but not overly spicy. They definitely don’t skimp on ingredients either. The gluten free bread is also one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to try other things on their menu! Honestly, everything sounded great but today’s meal really hit the spot. 5 star service and 5 star food! ✨
Love this place! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Menu has a ton of options and everything is customizable. I’m gluten free and I’ve been twice with excellent experiences.
