Great lunch in Lucca, we had 2 first courses and 2 glasses of dessert and coffee, great value for money. Friendly staff. Great attention to gluten-free and lactose-free.
Ein unglaublich gut sortierter 100% glutenfreier Laden. Ich hatte ein Croissant mit Pistaziencrème und zwei Pizzetti. Einfach köstlich und empfehlenswert ♥️👍🏽
We were there last night for a dinner for two. The reservation from the site, which lets you choose the table and also the time to go, is very simple and convenient. The confirmation of the reservation arrived quickly. As soon as we arrived in the room the waitress was kind and friendly. We had already said in the reservation that one person was celiac and as soon as we arrived they brought some warm gluten-free bread of excellent quality. We ate an appetizer with cold cuts, cheeses and tomato bruschetta (the bread was also warm and gluten-free). After that we had some tordelli, a Lucca specialty (also available GF), delicious! Having said that I would gladly go back as the food was fantastic and they are very attentive to the needs of the customer, both in the room and for dietary regimes. Congratulations!
Great trattoria. We ate there twice in a row.
Very friendly service and excellent quality of the various dishes.
Gluten-free is not an issue; the waiters know what they're doing.
Excellent - highly recommended.

Coming back here is always a pleasure.
High level ice cream shop, an interesting list of flavors and truly delicious cones.
Even the semifreddo counter is no exception, you can choose between different single portions, all very tasty.
Note of merit is certainly the presence of gluten-free variants for celiacs and intolerants (muffins and even crepes 😋).
This is just a note. One review cites that the restaurant offers home made gluten free pasta. This is FALSE. They buy their gf pasta. Further, they confirmed there is cross contamination. Celiacs be careful.
We just had a fantastic meal at Trattoria L'Angolo. 3 generations of us for a family meal. They catered well for our smallest (slightly fussy) kids, with homemade simple pasta. The homemade Focaccia was absolutely delicious. We had lovely traditional Italian meals, pork, beef , risotto, tomato dishes. And local Tuscan wines. It was all lovely and set in a gorgeous square in the heart of Lucca. The staff were very attentive and accommodating..
Also special mention for catering well for Gluten Free dietary requirements. Would highly recommend when visiting Lucca. We booked the day before we went , would suggest doing the same.
Positive:
The food was very tasty and typical.
The service was very attentive and they spoke several languages.
They have gluten-free food!
Contrary:
It was very crowded, and the tables were a bit too close together.
Excellent experience, truly exquisite food, medium-high prices but absolutely in line with what is served. Also pay attention to gluten-free from starters to desserts
This was a fantastic little find during a trip to Lucca, Italy. The staff were warm and welcoming. Their knowledge of the menu was excellent and incredibly helpful. We initially just stopped for a drink but when they flaunted their gluten free options, I was hooked. We went to the pizzeria for lunch and loved it so much we decided to go back for dinner before our train home (being close to the train station helped, too). The Gluten Free pizza was fantastic as was my partner's 'normal' pizza. On our return for dinner, the quality somehow ramped up. The flavours were amazing and a well thought out recipe.
Just as we thought the taste explosions had stopped, they brought out dessert!
Anyone with food allergies will have no problem eating here, their knowledge of the menu and the fantastic kitchen make you feel completely at ease when ordering and eating. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves food.
For my daughter's birthday, I had a Stitch themed cake made......I was satisfied with a beautiful and delicious cake. My daughter loved it. Quick and precise. I highly recommend, even for celiacs, given that my cake was gluten-free..
Thanks again...
Real trattoria in the center of Lucca, with a menu that is far too broad but which does not lose out on the quality of the dishes.
You can find the main Tuscans.
Many gluten-free options, price in line with what is offered.
Gluten-free options available, both pizza and fried food. The pizza dough is made on site, then pre-cooked. In the photo pizza and arancini. Excellent service.
Small but clean and well-kept place, central location and close to the station. The sushi is very good and the lunch formula is excellent (4 dishes of your choice for €12 excluding drinks) for me 4 dishes are very filling!
Also very careful about gluten-free!!
We had a fantastic dinner at Trattoria Canuleia. The atmosphere was nearly as excellent as the food, and they were kindly able to accommodate us on a Friday evening without a reservation. A lovely green back courtyard hosted a number of tables. I’d particularly call out the great gluten free options. My wife is allergic to gluten, and there were many options available, including gluten free pasta and bread. The wait staff couldn’t have been more lovely and accommodating.
Absolutely will return next time we are in Lucca.
Superb place! We saw Nonna making pasta in the day and we tried for a walk in later in the evening. Amazing atmosphere they catered for gluten free also.
Nice place located in Lucca. Courteous and kind staff, a little pushy in my opinion, but that's okay. Good food, but nothing special. I had a steak and considering the joking wording on the menu about it, I thought I would find juicy and rare meat, unfortunately it arrived a little overcooked. Despite this I appreciated it, the gluten-free desserts were also good.
We really loved everything. Eugene was amazing, very friendly, great English, and gave us the best food recommendations. One of us is gluten free and there were plenty of options. Wine was also very good. Highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back.
THE BEST ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI IN LUCCA!
Free parking spaces on site.
Location: modern and well cared for with a small tank with goldfish (which, despite what Google suggests, are not edible hahaha) lots of cherry blossoms and miniatures of Italian monuments almost everywhere 😊
Location: just outside the centre, 10 minutes by car and you're there.
Very friendly staff, fairly fast and precise service with autonomous ordering at the table using the tablet that you will find at the table itself.
The menu is rich, and the quality of the products is exceptional.
Always check the words GLUTEN FREE, it's important and in addition to reporting it on your tablet, let the waiters know and everything will go smoothly!!
Average prices.
You can't miss stopping at Suyoshi,
See you soon !!
We were sent to a dinner in this place... a wonderful surprise! The road that leads to the restaurant is immersed in the countryside and vineyards of Lucca and this is already a good start. Once you reach your destination you are welcomed into a place with attention to every detail, new and old blend perfectly creating a splendid and warm environment. We sat down to dine on the terrace with a wonderful landscape in front of us and a refined and elegant mise en place, you could see that nothing was left to chance (the idea of a saucer to taste the oil was also nice... very good!).
Service attentive to all needs (in our case children and celiac disease), young and prepared.
Very good food, you can perceive the attention to the raw materials. Dishes from Lucca cuisine that wink at a more modern and refined cuisine.
Highly recommended!
Really nice atmosphere and staff, but the food isn’t good at all. The tortellini tasted like really cheap tortellini from the grocery store and the cheese sauce too.
The gluten free margherita pizza was pretty good though, but it is hard to fail making a pizza with mozzarella and tomato sauce
Large platter 18 euros (8 slices of cured meats, 4 of cheese, a bowl of olives and a bowl of couscous)
Gluten-free and bottled beer 33 cl 4 euros
Weiss beer in a 50 cl bottle, 6 euros
Cover charge 5 euros (2 x 2.50 euros)
Good quality, decidedly small quantities, high price
€6 for a spritz and a bruschetta!!!
I had 2x hugo spritz and 1x limoncello spritz and they were amazing.
They brought me the bruschetta and I said “no thanks I’m gluten free” just wanting the spritz knowing I couldn’t eat the bruschetta, and one of the waiters said “no problem!” and brought out bruschetta on a GF pizza slice for me!
So thoughtful & really delicious.
A great place to sit & watch the world go by!
Fabulous place! Gorgeous food and friendly staff. Gluten free options are great. Will be going back again!
Went back again and as before everything was wonderful! Eduardo and Andrea were the perfect hosts and gluten free lasagne and tiramisu were delicious! I will be back again. Grazie
Asked for T-bone steak, medium, came to us really rare. Waiter, somewhat rudely, had to give us the comment it’s meant to be rare. It came back quickly, cooked to our liking, but we’ve had so many better steaks.
Good for gluten free, but no GF pasta/pizza (not that they do pizza anyway, and neither did we want it….just saying).
We were tempted by the reviews and the mention in the Michelin Guide to eat at Giglio.
The first look at the menu sounded pretentious, and so were the prices.
One point in our choice was the ample selection of gluten-free dishes, according to the internet.
Unfortunately, that didn't come true.
My wife has celiac disease and has to eat gluten-free.
She was left with one starter that day, a tuna carpaccio.
This came to the table clearly arranged, not very visually attractive, draped on a plate, drowned in a marinade with plenty of soy sauce.
For 30 euros...😳
I had a tasty starter for about the same amount, which turned out to be three wheels of black pudding.
A good black pudding, but the money?
For the main course, my wife was served gluten-free pasta with ragout, there was no other choice.
The cooking water from the pasta was nice in the plate...in truth it was not edible.
My pasta with the same ragout was good at best.
In total I paid 116 euros for the two starters and two primi, a glass of wine and water.
I can't recommend the place!
I had the pleasure of having dinner at Bistrò del Piccolo Mondo with some friends and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. The food was simply excellent and refined, with dishes that combined unique flavors and high quality ingredients. Each course was a discovery, from starter to dessert.
The atmosphere of the place is truly particular and welcoming. The furnishings with attention to the smallest details and the soft lighting create a perfect environment for a relaxing and pleasant evening.
The service was at the top: the staff was extremely courteous and attentive, always ready to satisfy our every request with a smile, I have celiac disease and there was no problem when I pointed out my intolerance.
In conclusion, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end dining experience in a unique setting. I can't wait to go back!
