Amazing mexi food! The tacos were awesome and basically everything on the menu (besides dessert) is gluten free. We got a bunch of tacos to try and the guac, which was so flavorful and a decent portion size. Pork belly taco was the best imo, also so fun to try the fried fish (I was told it’s fried in rice flour/batter). Watermelon marg was delicious. They have outdoor seating, but it’s not the nicest views (street/parking lot) and indoors is a nice atmosphere, so I’d recommend going inside
I think we caught them on an off day. While the place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly, I just didn’t meet expectations. We went for bottomless Sunday brunch during what was supposed to be a special “Dia de Los Muertos festivities” week. They did have a beautiful ofrenda at the entrance. Other than that, all we got was a 50 min wait for food to come out. Some small plates we ordered never came, others were missing ingredients/toppings, one we started eating, no one checked if we needed more drinks. Now they did ask about and accommodate a gluten allergy. I greatly appreciate that. Would have been even better if it was marked on the menu. All in all, the people were nice and the food was very good, but on this day, when it wasn’t packed, we waited a long time for nothing all that special.
If you're looking for flavorful food and healthy options, give this place a try! Delicious! Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available too. You'll need more than one taco to fill you up. Yummy food so worth it!
This place is so cool! Great vibes, friendly and quick servers plus the food is fantastic. All of the gluten free options are delicious, especially the churros. It was really fun to be able to eat tacos and oysters at the same time.
Lone star is my FAVORITE taco place in the north. I've been eating here for over 10 years at this point. The avocado griddled queso taco is a must- have. The house margarita is awesome, too. Never NOT enjoyed my meal or drinks here. Almost everything on the lunch and dinner menus are gluten free. I don't order breakfast here much since the use flour tortillas for those dishes.
This is mostly small plate style, so order a few things. Prices have gone up a bit over the years. Wouldn't call it cheap. I don't blame the place, I blame the economy.
This is a place I bring out of towners to and celebrate things like birthdays at. Food always comes out quickly. It's got a good vibe and NO SPORTS ON MASSIVE SCREENS. I get take out, delivery, and eat in. Can verify that the food quality does not suffer if you aren't eating in. The place can get cramped because I'm not the only one who loves this place.
Parking can be terrible with all the resident only areas on all the side streets.
If your gluten free this place is it!! I’m talking best food I’ve had in a long time! The staff was amazing and super personable. The atmosphere was great not too loud but definitely busy. Even so we got our food within a decent time and everything was fresh and hot. Did I mention there were so many gluten free options!! Ive been here before and will definitely keep returning!
This is really well done local Mexican food. They are also almost entirely gluten-free, which is a bonus for my wife. Owners are very friendly, and they have tasty margaritas
We had such an amazing experience here during our visit to Boston! My son is a celiac and Jamie, the manager was just so amazing and understanding. The whole staff was so careful, took such good care of us and made sure all the food was gluten free.
The food was absolutely delicious and so flavorful.
We loved the place so much, we came back again! Highly recommend!

Dedicated GF Fryer and amazing cornflake crusted Chicken Tenders! So delicious and everything is brought out by the manager with an allergy pick in it.
This Celiac recommends~ Definitely enjoy it on your next outing 💚
Gluten-free Churros- I rated this place 2 stars for the fact that they actually sell Gluten-free churros (thankful) but as far as the quality of it I rate it a 1.
The churros were super dense. Almost like biting into a piece of bread with no salt or moisture with a tiny dusting of sugar and cinnamon. The churros with the sauce didn't help much. Chocolate too over powering and the other tasted more like a peanut butter sauce that tried to imitate its actual flavor.
Again I'm thankful for the fact that they even sell these however I will not be back to purchase as it was not worth it.
Side note they do sell a small and large. This was a small for about 8 dollars and the large is 14.
Highly recommend! Food, service and atmosphere was great! Was extremely happy that they offered lots of gluten free options. Love love love the women's bathroom decor! Would definitely come back!
GLUTEN-FREE OPTIONS NOT GLUTEN-FREE
I came to this location on 6/5/24.
I was very excited to be visiting this restaurant in Cambridge. I am vegan and have a gluten allergy and saw on the menu that many items were denoted gluten-free so I was very happy that there would be food for me to eat. (I had also not eaten all day so I was extra excited.) I went up to the counter to order and while ordering was told (in a very rude/smug way) by the people working the register that everything that is noted as gluten free is not actually gluten free but “gluten friendly” and not safe for an allergy and they would not recommend for anyone who actually eats gluten free to eat at their restaurant. Either the menu needs to be changed to say “gluten friendly” or a kitchen process needs to be changed so the gluten free options are actually gluten free and there is no cross contamination. I do appreciate that they let me know so I didn’t get glutened but I shouldn’t have found out while ordering - it should have been clearer (and that’s on Veggie Grill).
The staff at this location were also rude, unhelpful, and didn’t offer any suggestions. They honestly didn’t care and were not kind at all. I hope management changes the menu to be clearer so people that do have a gluten allergy are able to either eat safety or don’t come with their hopes up only to not be able to eat not anything. They should also train their staff on some basic customer service/kindness. (They didn’t even apologize - which I feel like is just like basic customer service.) Maybe other staff members are great and the ones that were working the register were just the bottom of the barrel but I am honestly shocked with how I was treated.
Luckily, I don’t live in Cambridge so I won’t run into this issue again but I want to flag this for future gluten-free travelers (and honestly anyone who may come into this seemingly wonderful place…).
We had someone with a gluten allergy and wanted to order food for take out. We spoke with the hostess who was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful! They made our gluten free enchiladas and we were able to pick them up very quickly. They have other options for gluten free food too.
I love this place. Best guacamole I’ve ever had. All freshly made food. Gluten friendly with corn taco shells. The lime pepper chicken taco is my favorite taco, but I’ve liked all the ones I’ve tried. One of my favorite places in town.
I live in Atlanta and unfortunately my go to location has closed so I thought I'd try something familiar in Boston.
Off rip I noticed the food seemed fresher than Atl locations... don't tell.
I ordered: guac & chips,
Duck tacos (they could of held the load of onions)
Baja fish tacos that I LOVE because they're GLUTEN FREE & FRIED

If you’re in the area and looking for a causal place for some hearty food, stop in here. My rating is based on my expectations of a casual hangout establishment. And it met this expectation with no problems.
First, they have a big parking area with an equally large dining area. Then, our server Melissa was just great. Friendly, attentive, and helpful in terms of helping me navigate a gluten allergy. They even have a gluten free menu which is very convenient.
The food overall was good. Large portions and served piping hot which is what I like. We weren’t looking for anything gourmet but rather just a hearty meal after spending a while driving into the area. I had a fruit flavored skinny margarita which is hard to find.
The prices were in line with similar places.
The establishment is suitable for all ages, families, singles, couples and retirees. I imagine it’s LGBTQ friendly given that it’s in the Cape.
We liked it and we would return the next time we’re visiting.

Summer was amazing! She helped me with my food choices and reassured that I could eat safely since I am celiac. Summer is giving a great attitude and great positive vibe!!
Great employees I went in there with someone with a gluten allergy and I did not catch the employees name but they were very helpful and very nice great chipper
Mexican food place that’s friendly with a good set of menu items. Fajitas were very good. Veggie bowl was tasty. My tacos really didn’t have much taste but were fine. Limeade was ordered by many and was too sweet and lacking lime flavor. Lime wedges appeared quickly on request. Margaritas were tasty.
Allergens are an issue here with much cross-contamination. BUT, they know about it. Expect limited choices if this applies to you. I did have to ask about each item regarding gluten, and they did not volunteer glutenfree options. This was likely because they were busy and not used to or trained on working with diners with restrictions.
I would go back but only at a time that wasn’t too busy so I could ask about items. They have salsas that look interesting, too.
A gluten-free fryer for chips and marking menu items as GF would go a long way here. I’m sure those with dairy, egg, and other allergies would feel similarly.
BEST place to get Mexican food near Newbury. The staff and employees are so nice and accommodating. I asked the owner if their tortillas are gluten free and he went into the back to check the ingredient list and everything. They weren't but they offer a bowl option and the owner told the employee serving me to offer me a discount because of the inconvenience. Also prices are CHEAP. $9 dollars for a whole burrito. This is the place to go.
This is a go to for our family. They have been very good with gluten free accomodations for me. Staff is accommodating and attentive. It can get really busy. But we went early knowing this and had a good family friendly dining experience (1yr old and 3 yr old).
Always a great experience every time I go, whether inside the restaurant for an elevated dining experience, or out at the beach bar with it's chill vibe.
Bonus points for the allergy awareness, as 3 of our family are gluten free, and the chef is always accommodating. 😋
Food was really good as was the service. We were seated on the first floor which was a lot quieter than the second floor where we sat last time. Good for gluten free.
I love this place, they have lots of gluten free options, there is something for everyone and the salads are the best around Hyannis. I love the summer menu and vibes are excellent.
Safe if you have celiac. Just let them know at the beginning when you're placing your order and they'll change their gloves and wipe down the line for you.
A very short walk from our Edgartown hotel. Lots of gluten free options. Tacos were fresh and delicious. Also reasonably priced for MV. I order them with the cilantro and hot sauce. Be careful as the hot sauce is HOT! Liked it so much we returned the next night.
Condesa served us a delicious meal that delighted all 6 members of my family. The salsa and chips were very tasty. The chips were not too salty, which I appreciated, and the salsa was so fresh and had just a bit of spice. I am gluten and dairy free and didn't feel restricted at all. My sister and I split several things. We tried the vegetarian cornmeal sopes which had the best taste and texture, and split an order of tamales , which I found exceptional. We also tried the guacamole, which was so creamy and fresh. Finally we decided to order a salad, made with cucumber, jicama, and some delicious spices. The sauce/dressing was a bit spicy but addictive. I've never had anything like it, and I loved it! The atmosphere is open, and not too loud. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming! We live in CT, but I would travel to eat this wonderful food again.
This place has been saving me from hunger since its food truck days. I’m gluten free so I make sure to mention it - and sometimes they will ask unprompted if I have a food allergy.
My favorite item to get is the nachos without jalapeño peppers. It’s still got a nice spice to it and it is filling.
They’ve also recently started offering a chocolate horchata and buzzy (aka with coffee) horchata drink that just hits the spot on a hot day.
The atmosphere is chill, lots of cool stuff on the walls and always great music playing. Bathrooms available as well.
All but two of their dishes are gluten free by default. That's freaking awesome. It's also a very, very fast place to get takeout if you're in the Arlington area.
Be warned it gets pretty busy on weeknights, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Authentic and tiny. The owner was so sweet and the place is so cute. Am not personally gluten fee or vegan, but really appreciated the dedicated vegan menu and the GF labeling. Will definitely be returning. No pictures because the food was gone so fast.
