They advertise gluten-free however when you arrive their chips are not gluten-free anything that is fried is fried in the same fryer so cross contamination is an issue. The manager did offer to fire up the a clean fryer which was very kind . If you are going advertise GF then you should have it available
Ken was attentive, accurate, and friendly while quietly making certain we had everything we needed for an enjoyable meal. Made certain our meal arrived gluten free.
Food was very good and our server Vlad was super attentive and friendly my wife had a few concerns about her gluten free allergy but Vlad was able to discuss the menu with her and make her feel confident in her decision when it came to ordering ask for Vlad guys super out standing service!

Velvet Taco staff are awesome! I have Celiac disease, which is a challenge for most restaurants, but the staff helped me in ordering, even correct my wrong order with new tacos. Best tacos & service in Fort Worth!
Great food and knowledgeable staff. Every server was willing to work with us to help my Celiac son find something he could enjoy. They have gluten free bread for toast. The chips and potatoes aren’t gluten free because they only have one fryer. They do have GF tortillas that they can sub for quite a few items. They advertise a GF bun for the hamburger but it’s the same bread slices they use for toast and the burger is so juicy it makes the bread fall apart, which my son hates, so I recommend just getting the burger without a bun or wrapped in lettuce. Otherwise everything was amazing and we felt very safe/confident eating here.
Title: A Flavor Explosion at Torchy Tacos!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Torchy Tacos is an absolute gem in the world of casual dining! From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The menu is a taco lover’s dream, offering a wide variety of creative and mouthwatering options that cater to every palate.
I decided to try the "Trailer Park" taco, and it was nothing short of amazing! The combination of crispy fried chicken, green chilies, and a drizzle of their signature sauce was a flavor explosion in every bite. The fresh ingredients were evident, and the balance of spices was just perfect.
I also couldn't resist the "Buffalo Chicken" taco, which had just the right amount of kick. The creamy ranch dressing paired beautifully with the tangy buffalo sauce, making it a must-try for anyone who loves bold flavors.
The tacos are generously sized, and I appreciated that they also offer gluten-free options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their delicious creations. The chips and queso were the perfect complement to my meal, with the queso being rich and creamy—definitely worth ordering!
Don't forget to try one of their unique beverages. The house-made agua frescas are refreshing and add a nice touch to the meal.
Overall, Torchy Tacos is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to indulge in some innovative and delicious tacos. The combination of great food, a lively atmosphere, and friendly service earns them a solid five stars in my book. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their offerings!

I am gluten-free with celiac disease anytime I’ve told them I need a gluten-free salad of any sort. They immediately change their gloves and wash their hands and then typically only one person handles my food. So for the most part it’s been really great. All the workers have always been polite. Every time we have gone and we have gone multiple occasions, I have never had any issues. Some of the items are a little pricey like the tacos. The fact that you only get two tacos for the price you do is a little excessive when you can go to another restaurant and get at least three for around the same price. Other than that, I have no issues
I have never been to a most raciest restaurant ever we are in 2024 and that is just crazy from the jump the waiter ignored us not having chips in our table decided to bring a plate which was gluten free steak which was medium rare we had ordered well done from the Jump and I asked for a manager which all he said was we can take the steak you got and put it back on the grill that is cross contamination I stated he said not really yikes I hope everyone he is aware that if you have a wrong food or the meat is not to cooked they will take the same food you have and put it with everyone’s else’s food
Fantastic restaurant! Shared the veggie fajitas and they were bonkers delicious. Definitely big enough portions to share. Service was super prompt and our server Jesús was friendly and attentive. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciated that they have many vegetarian dishes on the menu, in addition to plenty of gluten free options and a couple of vegan options. Prices are pretty reasonable too. Overall, try this place!! You won’t regret it. Best southwest food I’ve had outside of the southwest.
Loved my first visit on a Sunday morning. Loved the complimentary valet and sweet paleta dessert (i had the coconut,). Everything was fresh, delicious and tasted made in house (especially the blue tortillas). Tip: the bunelos and other breads are $7 each...this was not immediately obvious to me (wish they had gluten free options). Will return.
Amazing authentic central Mexican food. Gluten free & dairy free options. Server was very knowledgeable about gluten free & dairy free items and was helpful with our food allergies.
My Beloved Joe and I went between 5:30-6:00 this Saturday. It's our Fave Mexican Place, and our Fave Server, Karla, was working this evening. She saw us and ran over, greeting us with a hug, since it's been a while.
Joe got his tried and true, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and a Margarita, and I have Celiac, and don't eat pork, so I try different things. This time was Ginger Fish Tacos, on lightly grilled, homemade corn tortillas, and blackened tilapia. They have many items that are GF Friendly, just let your Server know.
Because we munched on a lot of chips, and their incredible Fresh Homemade Salsa, we were to full to eat the large portions we had, but that's why there's 'to go boxes' !
Joseph, the District Manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was OK. We sang Karla 's praises, which he agreed.
Joseph, it was a pleasure to meet you. Hope to see you again soon
Cheap, good, and gluten free options! They have a gluten free menu and I didn’t get glutened as a celiac. Cheap alcohol as well. Would recommend to come hang out with friends around cheap Mexican food.
I'll start by saying that I am Chipotle fan and frequent several different locations in the Fort Worth area. However, this one is by far the worst in the area. When they do get your order correct (which is rare), the food is standard Chipotle, but there are too many times that I have to ask for more meat, cheese, rice, or salsa so that I can have a standard portion or I have to get something else because they cannot cook quickly enough to handle a small rush. These are basics of restaurant management. Lastly, my brother suffers from Celiac disease which prevents him from eating gluten. While there is some inevitable cross contamination, their corporate office when asked what to do instructed my brother to ask the first person at the bar to change their gloves and follow him down the line to help with this. When we ask them to do this here, the girl and the partner refused as it was a waste of gloves. The manager reluctantly put gloves on and took care of this. This is an abomination of customer service.
The food was fantastic! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful! This is now going to the top our list of places to eat. Also, they have adjusted their menu to be almost all gluten free.
We ordered breakfast tacos and had to be mindful of gluten as my partner has celiacs. The staff was helpful in answering my questions and made sure to alert the kitchen to the allergy. Their corn tortillas were gluten free and they successfully avoided cross contamination for us. We got bean and cheese, bacon and egg and barbacoa and egg and they were all great.
El Pollo Loco's friendly and encouraging server helped me with Gluten-free options, a good meal at a reasonable price. The location is on the east side of Presidio Crossing away from the heavy traffic, making it an easier location for parking, too. Moist and delicious Tacos al Carbon on fresh corn tortillas with cilantro is perfect after a very hot day. I have enjoyed the salads with a careful look at ingredients, made to my needs. They have a nutritional chart at the register to check for 9 different allergens and were quick to change gloves to make my order. Lots of good sides options, including broccoli! It is the place to go on a busy shopping day for a quick and tasty meal!
Similar to what another reviewer stated, I too was shocked at how extremely puny the portions of meat and rice were in my carnitas bowl, as compared with the amounts on my previous orders from other Chipotle outlets. Also, my wife prefers gluten-free meals, and despite having ordered tacos served on corn tortillas, she mistakenly received flour tortillas instead. Aargh! Wish I had been aware of these oversights at the pick-up window first, before I got all the way home with our food.
Was next door to our hotel so super convenient. Needed to have a gluten free and dairy free meal. Our cashier Isaiah was super friendly and understood our needs. He did not hesitate to double check with the kitchen on our food prep. Thank you so much to Isaiah for your kindness and special attention to us tonite!!!
Great experience, beautiful outdoor patio! Their queso was so good and it’s gluten free! So many options for my celiac!
I love their gigantic portion of chips and salsa they bring to the table. Servers were super nice and knowledgeable.
Tacos were delicious and had a lot of meet in it too.
Would def come back !
Great experience! Was sat down quickly. Our server was attentive and quick with getting our order and submitting our order. Food came out quickly and consistent. I ordered the green enchilada and the mole enchilada. The mole enchilada was perfectly cooked and offered a sweeter but traditional taste. The green chile enchilada was not too spicy and had a slight sour after taste!
Beans and rice sides were also perfect!
The queso and chips were great! The queso is Gluten free!!
They have some great Mexican dessert offerings but I decided to skip on this visit.
The only advice to management? Make more signs that are your brand visible once inside the restaurant. Only found one sign within the establishment where I was sitting at!
For someone who is gluten free by necessity. It's great to have options within walking distance of home.
I've been in a couple of times and the food is always wonderful. Their deals for taco Tuesday made for a fun dinner. Love street tacos💜
This little restaurant is an amazing stop. The staff are one of the most friendly waitstaff I have ever experienced. We had someone in our party that has a gluten allergy and the waitress took an immense amount of time describing the menu and pulling out recipes.
The street enchiladas with brisket were absolutely phenomenal. Highly impressed with the quality of the brisket!
If you come across this place, definitely stop in!
The atmosphere is amazing at Joe T Garcia's! We love the patio, you feel like you're at a resort. They can accommodate my need for a gluten free option.
We loved our food and margaritas! Service was good, my celiac girlfriend had a couple of options plus the fajitas were a huge portion size. Pro-tip margaritas are 5$ on Mondays and they are huge. 😁
Great food and service! A fun stop on our vacation! And I was especially appreciative that they carefully provided a safely gluten free meal for me- I have celiac disease and it is very important for me. They were very kind and careful about it. We would definitely go there again.
