We had such a lovely lunch here. Amazing seafood and overall an impressive menu (with a dedicated gluten free menu). The service was also excellent. We would definitely recommend it and can't wait to return :)
Excellent gluten-free pizza, super good stuffed potato croquettes, very good liver arrosticini and entrecote. Medieval setting, helpful and kind waiters. Highly recommended
We went to this restaurant on our way back from Rome, although we arrived late we were greeted with courtesy and professionalism. I particularly appreciated the ambience and the tables and chairs which are not the small and narrow ones usually found around but quite large and comfortable, we ate well but nothing that remained in our hearts (apart from the tagliatelle) we had a starter, 2 first courses (tagliatelle made by them, a little thicker and tougher - very good on the receipt they are ravioli because it was a off the menu) and a dessert. Overall we had a good time, they also have a menu for celiacs.
I am celiac and I ordered gluten-free pizzas to take away. The pizza dough was decent.
This place is part of the AiC circuit and I recommend it to celiac people.
A place that I also recommend for people with celiac disease. Staff informed on the topic and attentive to contamination. Unfortunately the choice of gluten-free starters is limited, as they only have french fries. However, overall it is a good place where you can eat gluten-free in peace. Local present in the AiC circuit.
I went for dinner with my husband. The restaurant is a bit dated and desolate. The fish was fresh though and they served us a GLUTEN-FREE first course without any problems! So I recommend it for those who, like me, are celiac.
I had heard about it but I had never been to this very welcoming place... it was a beautiful evening... relaxing... delicious pizza, delicate crunchy.... possibility of choosing the dough: traditional, 5 cereals or gluten free.... kind and welcoming staff... top environment... really a discovery... definitely to be done again we will return soon, maybe in a group!!
N.B. we took traditional dough pizza with two flavors Trullo and Vastese I recommend them😋

One of the historic Pizzerias in Francavilla! Always managed by the same family with a lot of passion. The pizza is really good. There is the possibility of choosing the dough including gluten-free (non-frozen base). Good raw materials used. Good choice of beers. Very kind owners and staff.
Suggestive place and very good cuisine!
They are very well organized for people intolerant to gluten!
Very friendly staff and makes you feel at ease in an environment surrounded by the sea.
Wide gluten free choice and truly excellent gluten free pizza, among the best I've ever eaten! The kebabs and first courses are also delicious. Friendly staff, nice and well-kept location with convenient parking outside. Super recommended! ⭐️
This place was a pleasant discovery, beautiful location, very clean, friendly and welcoming staff, delicious gluten-free pizza, the no-gluten-free one was also excellent, highly recommended and we will certainly return for both lunch and dinner.
We ate very well! The owner and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Having a celiac son, we appreciated the great attention and the offer of a dedicated gluten-free menu. We were able to taste excellent first courses and second courses suitable for his dietary needs. A truly positive experience. Thank you! 😊
Historic place.
Informal, clean, beautiful and well-kept restaurant.
Excellent service, friendly and professional staff.
Excellent quality cured meats, cheeses and meats.
It should be noted that there are several gluten free dishes on the menu.
Excellent quality/price ratio
If you pass through Vasto it becomes an obligatory stop
I was very impressed by the vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free varieties. We all ate heartily despite the various intolerances. There was meticulous attention to everyone, there was no distinction between a gluten free dish and the one from the "classic" menu. I have rarely noticed this aspect in other places, in fact you often have to make do. Compliments!
The first courses (pumpkin timbale) and desserts (dark chocolate mousse with currants) were very tasty. The mixed starter (5 courses) did not particularly impress me. Next time I will come back to try the meat as it looked really inviting and tender.
The staff is well informed about celiac disease and particularly attentive to contamination. Good gluten-free food. The venue is part of the AIC circuit. I also recommend this place to people with celiac disease.
I had dinner twice at the Lo Sgabello restaurant during my stay in Scanno. The restaurant is located near a public car park (blue lines). It has several seats, I recommend calling to find out availability as it is always crowded. The restaurant offers various local cuisine at medium prices. Of note is the possibility of requesting gluten-free first courses, however they do not have gluten-free bread. The service is quick and courteous.
Excellent food, the restaurant is Aic certified and is a guarantee for celiac people like me. Excellent gluten-free pizza, space-age kebabs. I recommend this place!
In another review I gave the service 3 stars but I find myself forced to give only 1 this time. Unfortunately, every time I went (and I go at least once a month given the passion my children have for this place) we had some problems with the service. Let me start by saying that we are forced to take 3 gluten-free menus and 1 normal one. Once the gluten free ones arrived first and after exactly half an hour the normal ones arrived, another time the opposite with a quarter of an hour wait (I'll let the children imagine the wait). I understand that the cooking is separate but don't tell me that the timing is different. If the order is for the same table the dishes MUST arrive together, especially if there are children. A sad point is that every time, even though dessert is included in the children's menu, if you don't ask for it and ask for it several times, they won't bring it to you. It doesn't seem very cute to me. For the rest, environment and food, I can't say anything, on the contrary...
But improve the service...
We had dinner at this restaurant, I am celiac, I tried the excellent pizza. Divine celiac fried food, excellent service, welcoming location, then a super compliment to Michele (the manager) always present and super professional... I highly recommend this restaurant
I had lunch in this lovely restaurant in Roccascalegna in the province of Chieti and I was truly deeply impressed and happily satisfied.
The food was truly excellent, starting from the appetizers, with the cacio e ova pallotte reigning supreme, but also many quality cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by local honeys and jams.
The first one I ordered with mushrooms and truffles was also excellent, as were the drinks. There is also a wide range of vegan and gluten free options.
Prices are also really super, as is the wonderful welcome and friendliness of Nicola and Valentina.
Civico 20 is not a simple restaurant: Nicola and Valentina like to call it a Risto Art Gallery, where you can find photography exhibitions displayed within the walls of the restaurant and where cooking workshops, themed literary and food and wine events are periodically organised.
Highly recommended.
Simple and informal environment. The typical menu of Abruzzo and Teramo cuisine in particular is excellent. A special mention for the homemade pasta, even for celiacs. The assortment of cold cuts and cheeses in the starter is good, as is the quality of the second course meats. Last but not least, the homemade dessert.
Overall, a pleasant gastronomic experience also marked by punctual and very courteous service, at the right value for money.
I was at this place yesterday, after I had heard about it because I have 2 celiac daughters, they make gluten-free pizza here. The place is nice, large, with a small parking lot outside. The normal pizza is good, with long-leavened dough, well-topped and cooked in a non-wood oven. You can improve on the gluten-free: we asked for margheritas with sausages and we were told that they don't have sausages (one of the children's favorite foods). We then asked for the addition of cooked ham on a pizza, with the supplement of 2 euros and 50 (for half a slice of ham)! The draft beer that was served to me wasn't great, while for the girls we asked for a Coke and we were served a similar one.
For 3 pizzas, 2 of which were gluten-free (a normal capricciosa, a Margherita and a Margherita with cooked ham) 1 Coke, 1 still water and 2 small draft beers we received a bill of €51.50. Despite the high prices, I recommend it on regular pizza, but the gluten free ones aren't that great!
Crazy culinary experience… fabulous sandwiches with an incredible taste… absolutely to try. Also the croquettes with cream cheese and pepper and bacon… extraordinary. Everything really good and everyone really kind. Possibility to eat gluten-free… and the tiramisu without eggs a gem that deserves 10 stars and not 5… for me who loves tiramisu but I am allergic to eggs a real satisfaction to be able to eat tiramisu after a dinner…
If you find yourself in Pescara you absolutely must try it.
We found ourselves here on April 25th to see Sulmona and they recommended this place to us which we wholeheartedly recommend to everyone, because we had a complete and assorted traditional house starter, the first course was excellent and tasty old mule tagliatelle, a mixed platter of meat and kebabs of both meat and liver, the house dessert was good and also for celiacs. Clean environment, quick waiters and average price around 30 euros each. Truly recommended for a visit to Sulmona, an easily accessible center and a very welcoming place.
