We came around 1pm and the place was almost empty. They accommodate glutenfree (Pasta Option and a couple of meats). Service was okay but the food took forever and was mediocre. Wouldn’t come back.
Awesome atmosphere and very good food. I have celiac disease and heard this was a good option for gluten free—our waiter kind of seemed to get it but then brought out my dessert (mango sorbet) on a bed of cookie crumbles, after confirming with me that this would be the one safe dessert option…so can’t say that they really get it as well as other restaurants in the area. Try at your own risk.
The cactus tartar was really interesting. Kind of on the sour side but refreshing. I think Antolina offers good dishes, drinks, service, and cozy atmosphere. Also, they do take note of people who need gluten free options.
We had reservations and seated immediately. The restaurant was full on a Saturday. Fabian was our waiter and he was wonderful. We were seated at the balcony edge. It is a bit chilly and people take photos there to look over the plaza but we did not care
The food here was the best we have had and great value.
We started with wine all from Mexico. Choices limited however we were happy with our choices. Next we had the salad with bacon and spiced nuts. Tacos we had the fish and octopus. Fish was better. Next steak and fish. The steak was perfectly cooked and the mustard sauce was a perfect compliment. The fish was very good but the steak was better. Lastly we had a slight communication lapse where I got the almond ice cream and cream cone and my daughter got the sorbet. She is gluten free and we thought we ordered two sorbets but it was fine We just did nit share that item. They also brought gluten free crackers instead of bread. Very accommodating.
The views were beautiful at sunset the food was delicious the service great. I would definitely recommend
Best vegan tacos of my life- they were able to adapt them to make them gluten free. Their homemade vegan cheese was unbelievably yummy & their sugar free all natural sodas left me wanting more
I really liked the tacos. Most things are made from corn, so I was able to eat here without any problems although according to me there are no extra gluten-free options.
We went to eat with a craving for pasta (I eat gluten-free) and I was pleasantly surprised by how exquisite the gluten-free pasta was, cooked perfectly, al dente. Every time I have a craving for pasta, I won't hesitate to come to Santino's.
First of all, before taking the order, they asked us if we had allergies and I have celiac disease.
They brought me psalms. And they told me that the potatoes in the lamb ribs are made where other foods are made and they changed it for me.
Excellent service.
Went for my birthday dinner and could not be more disappointed as it was the worst dinner I had during my stay in CDMX.
The vibe was confusing and the service Was slow. While they tried accommodating my gluten free needs, they did so in a way that completely modified the dish without consulting with me while still charging me full price, which was extremely expensive for what I got. I could not even finish my meal, as it was so bad.
I have had substantially better meals in the area and can't recommend this place.
The best food we had in Mexico City! I’m still dreaming of the corn tamales. The dishes are very simple and small. So we were able to order a variety of dishes. The service was great and were knowledgeable and accommodating towards my gluten allergy. Everything on the menu was gluten free. Can’t wait to come back.
An unforgettable fine dining experience in Mexico City. Em delivers thoughtful hospitality, incredible storytelling, and innovative takes on Mexican cuisine. Every dish had a narrative, beautifully explained in both English and Spanish by the rotating staff. Shoutout to Ietza (waitress), Daniel, Diego, and Valeria (sommelier) for their warm, flawless service.
They were extremely accommodating of my partner’s gluten allergy and paid attention to every detail—even folding our napkins when we stepped away. Dishes were perfectly paced, generously portioned, and beautifully plated.
Highlights included the crab & caviar, a black bean tostada with a texture we’re still thinking about, and a New York steak served with the most elegant silverware. Their Oolong sparkling tea, served in a gorgeous glass, was a refreshing and rare treat.
This is a place that honors Mexican food while elevating it into something truly special. Highly recommend.

I will give it 3.7 ⭐, but I feel bad dropping the review from 4 to 3 because it's in between. Not as many gluten free options as I was led to believe. I had the catch of the day and it was good, but not stellar.
Overall, it was a good but not great meal I could have had anywhere, really, and I felt like I fell for the tourist trap, reinforced by the fact That everyone dining there spoke English.
Service was not very good.
Excellent restaurant to eat some delicious legs and for those of us who are celiacs there is delicious pasta and dessert!!!! It is something that not all restaurants have, affordable prices and a very familiar atmosphere, be sure to go eat there!!!!
RESTAURANT TRYING TO INFLUENCE REVIEWS (immediately after I posted my original review, they responded asking me to change my rating) - I found a PLASTIC string in one of my courses and received a lukewarm apology at best. The chef came and said that the rest of the food in the course was okay since the plastic was only in the bread right?? I was also with my friend who was gluten free and I emphatically specified in writing before the dinner that I was not gluten free and would like the original tasting menu. We also specified this 3 different times to 2 different people before we were able to correct them to stop giving me the gluten free menu also. The 6 courses were wholly forgettable and at points inedible (plastic aside), for example, the duck was tough and rubbery and the seasonings were muted. I still paid for the full meal and tipped but honestly looking back I should have walked out. I would have walked out if I was not dining with somebody else. This is not up to par with the price they are expecting guests to pay.
Arrived around 6:30pm on a weekday and was lucky to score one of the 2 remaining tables 😆
Service was swift and they made great recommendations on what to order, the portion, and which items are gluten-free.
Started with a complimentary seafood soup and the flavors were rich & amazing 😋
Highlights ✨
- shrimp taco is my favorite (grilled cheese with juicy shrimp 🍤)
- ceviche (sauce with a kick 🔥 and generous mix of seafood)
- flan 🍮 (pretty dense texture)
Misses
- Mezcalita (very watered down)
- Oysters (we tried all three varieties they had but weren’t impressed. Also the mignonette was made with soy sauce so it is not gluten-free)
Overall it’s a great seafood restaurant that I’ll return to with friends (dishes are good for sharing). But I do not think it’s worth waiting in line for (you can make a reservation online for tables between 12-1pm or avoid coming at peak dining hours).

Solid Argentinian restaurant in a cute & romantic setting.
They serve complimentary bread (not gluten-free) and aubergine at the beginning of the meal - both delectable.
Our favorite is the provoleta cheese (probably the best we have had in CDMX).
The meats and sauces are of good quality and flavor.
The strawberry meringue is a nice ending to the meal.
(Not sure why Google lists it as an Uruguayan restaurant.)
Super good place! Very nice and they have quite a few gluten-free options, they are also trained on allergies and intolerances. I tried Hoja Santa and I loved it. We will return!
The place is very cozy, and the concept of organic, local, and national foods allows for a varied menu, suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free options.
