Stopped in for a quick bite and ended up staying for dessert too - butter chicken was fire, and that gluten-free cupcake? Unreal. Definitely coming back.
Alexanderâs Tavern is owned by someone knowledgeable about Celiac and offers a multitude of safe gluten-free options with a dedicated kitchen space and fryer! I recommend the nachos and tater tots!
Gluten free! No inside seating, so if you are buying a hot and ready item you'll be sitting outside or in your car to eat. Took someone with celiac there, they got to have their first chicken tender, churro, and onion rings in years. They were delish, with a lot of flavor in the breading.
the best gluten free pizza iâve had in my life and itâs an authentic Napoleon style! the owner is so nice and checked on us our first time as gluten free diners, the pizza is prepared separately but there is gluten in the kitchen so keep that in mind ~ iâve never had a reaction at verde or had a reaction with delivery - highly recommend!
Our waitressâ name was Brittany. We loved Brittany. She was well educated on what was gluten free for me to eat, gave us a whole apron tour (my mom was interested in getting the same one for her job), and was overall a delight! This is the only restaurant I look forward to going to every year for breakfast. It has a whole gluten free breakfast menu, whereas most places have eggs as the only option. And they have BrittanyâŚwho was wonderful.
Had great experience in this bakery w/Rockville Vegans for two different events, Matzah Pizza and the Cake Decorating Competition! The food is all gluten free and items that are vegan as well as dairy free are each marked in different colors on the menu which is very helpful for different dietary restrictions. Jamie, the owner, is very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend!
Super cute atmosphere, great for bigger groups. Service was fast, well organized and friendly. I highly the banana royal and dirty banana crepe. They also can do all the crepes GLUTEN FREE!
The Corner Pantry is a Baltimore gem with thoughtfully curated and creative selections and amazing gluten free breads and pastries. Everything on the menu from coffee to savory to sweet options simultaneously evoke comfort and decadence. Their holiday pies are also a staple for my family's festive menus, and whenever I visit, the staff is warm and inviting. On days when you need a little extra joy in your life, I highly recommend visiting TCP!
Wonderful place with great food, and a great variety of food to keep everyone happy including folks wanting to eat healthy. Vegetable/vegan/gluten-free etc. options. Amazingly helpful and friendly service from Mr. Keith who accommodated our tight schedule and difficult modifications - and was able to make our kids laugh. Loved it!
Oh my dear beloved Burtons,
This is our go-to restaurant as a Celiac family. Any event, celebration, etc, we are at Burtons. Unfortunately, the Riverdale location is going off of our list and will be returning to the Alexandria location. When I say we go for all the celebrations, I'm not joking.
Yesterday was the worst experience we have ever had at any restaurant and it was brunch on Father's Day. Mother's Day was fine. We were there. No issues. But, Father's Day was a diabolical disaster. If this was our first experience, which I fear it was some people's first time, I would never come back.
Let me start by saying, the serving staff was amazing. You could tell the kitchen was falling apart but they were trying their best to hold the front of house together. I am going to repeat that we were there for brunch so when I say there were no water pitchers or food was unavailable, you know it got worse throughout the day into dinner service. Why advertise specials that you don't have? My husband and I both ordered off the specials menu. Appetizer sold out (at brunch.. yikes), main course was unrecognizable. They didn't have mashed potatoes, which were part of the dish. The sauce was missing from the chicken, and the chicken was more like Jerky. Needless to say, I took my meal home and didn't eat it. I was offered french fries at the end of my meal when I was informed there were in fact no mashed potatoes cooked. I took those home too. My daughter also ordered chicken that she didn't eat because hers was also a dried out jerky form.
I will say, the waitress did comp a piece of chocolate cake, but after spending $150 on meals that 3/4 of us didn't eat, I decided you need to do better. In this economy, $150 for a family of 4 to have brunch comes with a certain expectation and you failed. Like I said, our family adores Burtons and we know what this restaurant is capable of and a busy brunch isn't an excuse to lose customers. I can only imagine what a mess dinner service was when you were running out of food by lunch time. Poor management destroys business. Do better. You have a strong reputation to uphold in the allergy and celiac community.
Having several food allergies, this was easily the most seamless, delicious, healthy dining experience I had. There were plenty of amazing options.
I got the gluten free air-fried chicken parm with squash spaghetti noodles, a lemon tart, and a lavender matcha latte. My husband got blueberry pancakes, steak&eggs, yogurt fruit parfait, and we split a strawberry arugula salad. The dessert and drinks werenât too sweet and the food was yummy. Our waiter Craig, did an amazing job making recommendations on items to try.
I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to go out to eat while making conscious health choices, actively trying to avoid inflammatory foods and seed oils, or with food sensitivities/allergies.
Full gluten free menu! I tried gf fried chicken sandwich and loved it. The bun held together and was not gritty. There must be a bit of heat in the gf batter but it was delicious. No bacon for me but added pickle slices.
I can't wait to try more gf dishes here
The waiter was great
Delicious celiac-safe authentic Sardinian cuisine! The pasta was so delicious and they brought gluten free bread for the table. They have gluten free items marked on the menu and have gluten free dessert options too!
Beautiful place tastefully decked out with authentic Mexican art and design. Brought and airy. Cozy neighborhood restaurant. Great service, great food and gluten -free by default. They also have a vegan menu
Love this gem. The food is so delicious and the smoothies are out of this world. Everything is organic, vegan, and gluten free. This place is a must try even if you donât have dietary restrictions. This is because the food is fantastic!

Best gluten free pizza Iâve had since going gluten free. Wish it was a little more affordable, but understand the cost due to the high quality of the imported flour. Definitely recommend!
Cypriana was terrific. We had a birthday person with us and they made it special (see Picts), the food was great. Specifically the chefâs hummus was some of the best Iâve ever had! Seriously, I couldâve eaten that alone and been happy. The branzino with lemon was excellent and light. The chicken with lemon potatoes was perfect for my kid, the grilled octopus was nice and tender-had a slight Smokey taste and the portion size was enormous. The grilled eggplant was another lovely dish, although that reduced balsamic drizzle on top was so delish I couldâve used more! The had a gluten free pita which was excellent, and the wood roasted olives was a âto tasteâ item. I did not care for it but the rest of the table loved it.
The service was great, drinks were generous. We had a very good time and will be back!
Great diary free vegan milkshakes. All the Gluten free breads is vegan. The food was delicious and the staff very accomidating to my food allergies. Only diner I've ever had a fulfilling meal at with my allergies

Iâve been wanting to try Alma Cocina Latina since I moved to the area and last night I was finally able to! 5/25/25. Thank you to Kanae, Mauricio, and Kez! You guys made a great impression and a wonderful experience in addition to a great meal đ Shout out to the chefs and line cooks. I can tell that these dishes are carefully thought out and curated. Everything I ate was delicious. Since it was my first visit, and was excited to see so many gluten free items, I wanted to try different dishes! Also, Punch like a lady was soooo good and compliments the food well! Iâm a line cook myself and I donât get to have food cooked for me often, so anytime Iâm able to, itâs greatly appreciated. I will be returning, Thank you!
Best chicken fajitas ever and really yummy gluten free options! As a celiac, I have never gotten sick from here in the last 2 years Iâve eaten there!
Great food and service in a fantastic location. So many gluten free options! Our server, James, was knowledgeable about the menu and super helpful in explaining all the gluten free options available to us. My husband LOVED the beef stew: great flavor, plenty of beef. My salad was huge and fresh, no wilty greens. We split an order of fish and chips, made gluten free with specific batter and dedicated fryers. The batter was SO crispy. My husband ordered the creme brulee with whipped cream and fresh berries for dessert, and it was AMAZING. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to a return trip.
I love BIBIBOP. I have celiacâs disease so finding restaurants is really difficult. But BIBIBOP is 100% gluten free! I love their food especially some of the new things they recent added to their menu.
Excellent food and service! It was very busy when I visited since the farmers market was happening outside, but there was still plenty of tables available. There were also board games to play upstairs and water near the seating. The staff was very friendly and takes allergies very seriously. The employee made sure to tell me about the gluten free options and how they avoid cross contamination. I also heard them explaining what items did/didnât have dairy to other guests. The food and coffee was very good, and I will definitely be coming back to try more!
I recently visited Truefood, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the variety of options, catering to both health-conscious eaters and those with specific dietary needs. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, or just looking for something light and tasty, Truefood has something for everyone.
Overall, Truefood is a top-notch restaurant that I highly recommend. If you're looking for healthy, delicious, and beautifully prepared food, this is the place to be! I'll definitely be back soon
They can make almost everything on the menu gluten free and the food came out with an allergy sticker on it! Plus, a dedicated fryer- the truffle fries were AMAZING! No reaction :)
Love this spot in Hyattsville! They have great gluten free and vegetarian options. My dining partner and I enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was good and the drink specials were delicious.
I cannot thank Crepe Daddy enough for having delicious food options for celiacs!! Iâm
Not just gluten free.. I am highly symptomatic and to have a place to eat that is both safe and delicious is a gift!
Went here for dinner with my wife while we were on vacation, figured we try something new. The food was amazing, we got the paella Valencia bowl(bought 2 by accident we didnât realize how big it actually was!) so we had plenty to take home. My wife also got the watermelon salad and I got the beef empanadas which were also really good. The view of the bay is also very pretty. Jose was a great waiter he made sure we were taken care of and made sure my wifeâs order was put in properly (she has celiac disease). Canât wait to go back to OCMD and dine here again.
Always impressed by the fresh and creative weekly specials!
The staff is incredibly friendly and well-versed in dietary restrictions⌠thereâs no shortage of delicious gluten-free options!
Mark is the friendliest bartender đˇ, and Luca is a thoughtful owner who ensures every visit outshines the last.
A true neighborhood gem! đ
Came here for the first time a few days ago, and the service and food was so good that we came back today. We came in around 11am and were immediately asked if we wanted to see gluten free, vegan, or brunch menus. They sat us down and our server, Kellen, brought everyone water without us having to ask for it. He was so friendly and took our order (party of 4) without writing anything down so i was a bit skeptical. We each had multiple very specific modifications with our food, so I didnât think he would remember them, but he got every single detail right. Was funny, friendly and warm, and got us boxes and the bill at an appropriate time, and refilled drinks as soon as he saw they were slightly low.
Fantastic breakfast spot, and super amazing gluten free/vegan waffles. So hard to find somewhere to eat with food allergies and Maliaâs rocks it. Everything is always delicious and coffee is good too!
Easy pick up of takeout, food was ready, great takeout, pleasant counter person, easy ordering on the phone or online. Best Hot and Sour soup. Egg Drop was also awesome. No MSG. They have gluten free options!
Great place for breakfast and lunch! The employee was very helpful in explaining what menu items could be modified to be gluten free. Very generous portion sizes as well. I will definitely come back for dinner and to sit in the outdoor patio!

Very gluten free friendly! I felt very safe eating there with my daughter that has celiac disease. Our food was amazing and the drinks were yummy. Having a playground there for our wild child was amazing. We loved sitting in the sand and listening to music. We got there at 430 and had zero wait. When we left closer to 6, the line was insane. Definitely recommend going a bit early. We will definitely be returning!
The chicken here is always great. Some of the best fries Iâve had in a long time. I also appreciate the great service.
My wife is Celiac (gluten free) and never had any issues.
This was just what we were looking for for lunch!
My girlfriend has a few food allergies, the biggest being gluten intolerance, and man did this menu have options for her! Normally going out, there's only a few things, most salads, but here she had so many choices, it was great to see her torn between what to get! She got one of the stir fry, and said it was one of the best she's ever had!
Food aside, the service was fantastic! This place always looked busy, and today seemed to be another case of that, but our server Linda was on top of it! Going from table to table with ease and confidence, having amazing customer service, and was just overall great!
Pretty easy to say we'll be going back :D
We are not from the area and we're traveling through. We ended up not being able to stop for dinner until 11:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. Good luck finding anywhere to eat at that time!! West End Grill was one of the few places that was open. I have a severe gluten allergy, and they had a separate gluten-free menu and separate gluten-free fryer. I got the burger with no bun and hand cut homemade French fries. It was awesome! My husband had the homemade jalapeno poppers and bought another order to go. They were amazing! For being a Sunday night at 11:00 p.m. the place is actually pretty packed, and the service was great! I'm so glad we were able to find the West End Grill and definitely will go there again on our way through the area. Highly recommend!
Took my girlfriend for her birthday. She has Celiac. The menu options were plentiful. The food was excellent. The staff was attentive but not intrusive.
