Really nice quaint environment and the staff is lovely and kind. They are very helpful and the food is fantastic. I am gluten intolerant, and they had a wonderful variety of foods, breakfasts, specifically, that I was able to have. My husband had the regular menu and he very much enjoyed his breakfast as well. We left there with our plates cleaned and no left overs. Coffee was delish!!
Looking at their reviews - I think this place is paying for reviews. There are many low ⭐️⭐️reviews and the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️reviews all read the same.
Over 3 days in St Louis, I ate at:
* Salt + Smoke (Delmar Blvd)
* Pappy’s Smokehouse
* Sugarfire Smokehouse
Downtown St. Louis is rough - the staff was friendly, but the surroundings have seen better days. And they were out of ribs and salmon. My colleague got burnt ends - they were tough. Sausage was cheese + jalapeño, it was okay, not great. Brisket was watery and portions were small.
The line was out the door at 5 pm - even with ‘no ribs’ posted clearly. They sell out no matter what - this is definitely a tourist draw more than a quality of food draw. Nice to see the old school service on a tray and to have bottled beer options, but not worth a trip. Of the 3 I tried this is the only one I would not go back to.
They have gluten free gf options and good sauces.
I loveeee UKraft as a gluten free person, but today I was unable to finish my sandwich due to discoloration of my bread. :( It looks like mold, but I’m unsure. I wasn’t going to take any chances. I’m sure the gf bread sits for a while due to low number of orders, but I’ve never had this issue before. Noting this for future reference.
We decided to grab lunch at Hi-Pointe on a busy Saturday before heading to the arch. I picked it because they have a gluten free bun option. My husband, sons, and I all really enjoyed our burgers and fries! From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed; the staff was so kind and friendly. We don't make it to the St Louis area very often but will always make a point to stop there when we do!
Jennifer was my server. She was super sweet. She was also crushing it at serving the whole place. She reassured me that I everything I ordered was and could be made GF and even put in gluten allergy for me (I have celiac) so I felt very comfortable knowing that she knew what she was talking about. And the tacos were delicious. I will be back

Very picturesque Cajun food restaurant that apparently is a classic in the area. We loved the food, very tasty and with the spicy touch that cannot be missing in this type of cuisine. In addition, several dishes on the menu can be adapted to be gluten-free. Very good atmosphere and very good treatment from the waitresses who served us.
Many wonderful options for any pallet. They offer a gluten-free crust with a rice flour base that does have milk and egg products but it tasted phenomenal (as shown in picture). They mention that it is not recommended for celiac due to potential cross contamination. For those with a gluten sensitivity like my mom, it is still a wonderful alternative! Meanwhile my own regular flour calzone was also a wonderful flavor and I loved The Fold option on their menu. 5/5 all around.
