Soooooo many amazing options to choose from! Our surprise faves were the soft pretzels bites and the sourdough bread. Donuts were also yummy! They also had many dairy free and vegan options and were very allergy aware.
Go to spot, delicious food with interesting flavors combinations that have me coming back! Safe for gluten free and took other allergies very seriously!
Absolutely fantastic!
All day weekday happy hour with $5 mimosas (special with pomegranate liquor!) and bloody Marys, and almost everything can be made gluten free. The gluten free Cinnamon pancake was just out of this world delicious. Bravovado toast was a treat. Can't recommend this place enough.
Fantastic restaurant and one of the best gluten free places I've been to. I have a gluten allergy and there's so much choice on the menu. You can't even tell it's gluten free!
I would've taken pictures but I forgot with how good the food was.
the food was pretty okay!! unfortunately they were out of all of their lemonades which was a bummer :( otherwise they’re good with gluten free accommodations (on pizza and and sandwiches)
Very lively place, with great menu of creative dishes. Entire menu is gluten free so no worries here. Not your typical Tex-Mex kind of place. I had the birria entree that came with a large bone marrow side with several soft corn tortillas and delicious rice and beans. Very attentive waitstaff who knew the menu inside out. Parking can be a significant issue.
Top notch food. Quick and friendly service, Corey was attentive and helpful with modifications. Especially great spot for those with restrictions, options for vegan AND gluten free needs. New favorite: hibiscus green iced tea 🍵🧊
Counter waitstaff was nice but food is awful. Dried out portages with no salt, soggy tofu with no salt and no seasoning except for turmeric, sliced tofu had zero and I mean ZERO flavor, the biscuits and gravy were horrendous: dry and flavorless, and zero gluten free bread options.
Not sure how they stay in business with the food we had. Literally had to throw it away.
If you’re EVER near Denver, this is a must stop. I live in Colorado Springs and have already warned my partner that their gluten free Nutella pizza will be a pregnancy craving in the future we’re def driving for. 😂 They use gluten removed wheat starch from Italy (celiac safe but not safe for a wheat allergy) and separate prep areas and ovens for gluten free orders. Their fried eggplant is also one of the best meals I’ve ever had from a restaurant. They do have vegan cheese options too.
It’s order at the front, then they bring items to the table for you. If you like Kombucha, they have a rotating homemade Kombucha flavor which they make very well. I always leave here with my tummy feeling great. I do think the portions are on the small side, so come here if you want to feel light after eating. So many delicious gluten free options, and the staff are attentive to your dietary needs which I really appreciate
100% gluten free and extremely allergy friendly. Their chicken and dumplings was super flavorful and their French toast was the best gluten free French toast I’ve ever had — crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Super convenient to order since you use a digital stand to do so and can see all allergens when picking your meal.

First time coming to ‘El five’, my partner and I were first sat in a very awkward table on the edge of the restaurant- thankfully they were accommodating to moving us out to the patio. We were initially asked if we had any allergies (my partner has a gluten allergy and another allergy as well- any consumption of either causes severe debilitating migraines, blacking out, and loss of appetite for at least a week) we were made aware of which options were gluten free- the server was more than knowledgeable about the ingredients and advised us of the fact that they use the same fryer for both gluten and gluten free options. If you have celiac, I would avoid getting food here.
We initially were looking to get the eggplant fries which say they’re “gluten free” but yet are not guaranteed. Our server gave us a recommendation based on allergy preference. When the food came out we weren’t sure what we had ordered since we had to switch our initial pick so we were not dealing with any cross contamination. They ended up bringing out the wrong dish to the wrong table and unfortunately my partner consumed a good majority before we were made aware the mistake happened.
If you are gluten free or have any sort of allergy definitely be weary of ordering and double check before consuming. They ended up not charging us for our meals thankfully- unfortunately that doesn’t change the mistake made but the gesture was appreciated.
On the bright side, the drinks were good and the people working at there were very nice- just be cautious and ask twice.
** Update- definitely a major concern for anyone with celiac, not worth it for the price or the possibility of being served food containing an allergen without them triple checking that they’re doing everything right. Our bill totaled $160 for two people. The only reason we went here was for the abundance of gluten free menu items advertised, which they clearly cannot truly provide. You would think they could afford to have a separate fryer to actually accommodate the allergies that are LABELED MENU ITEMS LISTED AS GF.
I hope someone within management/ownership realizes the detrimental effect that this caused and will make changes to the way they prepare/serve food. I have been to restaurants with no gluten free options that were able to accommodate us no problems and no worries after the fact.
Don’t waste your time or money.
They are very good at offering options for a variety of diets, but experienced some discomfort after. Wouldn’t recommend anything from the kitchen (they have gf wrapped pastries) for anyone with celiac.
Patio was great. Food was excellent. Huge portions, the papusas are GIANT. Chips and salsa were top notch. Chose Monses due to the 100% gluten free kitchen to accommodate celiacs in our party.
The food took a long time to arrive, and when it did, my brisket sammy and tater tots were cold. The gluten free bread here is not that good- it’s dry. The candied pork belly wedge and the hotbox mac and cheese were both very good. The restaurant was really cold, and the music is super loud. While the food was decent, all the other factors make it a 3 star.
I ordered one of just about every gluten free appetizer since they have a dedicated fryer. Everything was so delicious and the service was awesome! Also recommend the wedge salad mmmMMmm
Delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Our server (Jonny?) was highly attentive and helpful.
We ordered the steak, lamb, trout, massive attack salad and sliced plantains. The meats were delicious, the salad was fresh and well dressed, and the plantains were perfectly done (I haven’t had plantains like these since traveling to Costa Rica)
They have options for vegetarian, gluten free and accommodated nut allergies easily.
We sat at the c kitchen counter and the cleanliness and food safety of the kitchen staff was impeccable. Recommend reservations as it was very busy on a Friday night.
I would definitely return.
We had breakfast there twice while staying at the hotel. The service is excellent and the Eggs Benedict was amazing. The use polenta instead of bread and proscuitto instead of the more traditional Canadian bacon. I would like to go back and try dinner here as the ambiance is really cool. Big windows facing the street. I am Celiac and they have lots of Gluten Free options in addition to a dedicated GF prep space. They take it very seriously and I was safe here. The bar area is really cool on the corner of the building.
This place is great if you have a dairy allergy as most things are vegan by default. If you have a gluten allergy you have to be careful as they do not have have a dedicated gluten free fryer. The killer for me is that I have issues with gluten dairy and soy. They had very few dishes available that could accommodate my soy allergy. Caprese pizza with cashew ricotta. It was ok. I was devestated I couldn't have the chicken and waffles.
Great cocktails.

The gluten free chicken was really good ! High quality food that me and my wife enjoyed. The staff was also very friendly and courteous and offered my wife a to go box when they saw that she had a lot of food left. We live 30 minutes away but will definitely be back!

This is the best Gluten Free & Celiac Safe bakery EVER! They are 100% gluten free, I was shocked when I went to order and everything I saw was gluten free, because it looks that good! Not only is the presentation of the food absolutely amazing, but I can’t even begin to talk about the taste! Everything I have tried has been incredible there. They have, donuts, bagels (& bagel sandwiches!!), cannolis, beignets, baguettes, cinnamon rolls, crepes, & more!!! I’m always blown away with the taste. If you go, I recommend trying the “Whole Lotta Farm” breakfast sandwich, the cinnamon rolls (which you can take home frozen!!), and the cannoli. Everything is made fresh DAILY, which is amazing! But be warned that if you see something you want on the menu, the earlier in the day you go, the better. Because everything is made fresh you have to get there before it sells out! Or you have to wait til the next day. So so happy I found this place!!
I can’t over emphasize how amazing our time was here. We let them know in advance it was our wedding anniversary and there wasn’t a single staff member we interacted with that didn’t make a point to tell us “Happy Anniversary.” - it was so lovely! They even gave us a special Anniversary menu!
Every single sip and bite was exquisite. We’ve been to Italy and we’ve eaten true Italian food- this is the real deal. But what really seals this as a “must go” is the service. Brittany, our server, was so amazing. She made us feel welcome and appreciated. She was extremely knowledgeable and truly elevated our experience. Brett and Connor were both extremely helpful as well. Connor was our sommelier recommending the perfect bottle of wine in our price point. I nearly forgot to mention that I’m gluten feee and Brittany made sure that everything I ate was safe. She knew the menu top to bottom.
Overall, 11/10 ❤️ Brittany tipped the scale!
I ordered the French toast, gluten-free breakfast and ordered my eggs over hard and the edges were so crispy. I had to cut it with a knife. The bacon was too crispy. The French toast was good however. Service was good. She was very attentive.
Feels like an authentic French Cafe, good service and the food was tasty. They’re able to make Gluten Free Crepes and I got the Toscana which was very good. It felt a bit heavy as it was a big portion which left me more than satisfied. A bit pricey with a double espresso and one crepe plus tip coming in at over $25 but Id go back. Parking can be dicey!
This was my favorite spot in town to meet friends for good food and good beer. I've met a lot of new close friends at trivia night. Loved the staff, the entire environment and the overall energy of this location. They had the best Karaage in Denver!!
Unfortunately, I noticed a big change in the energy and quality of the location under new ownership. The food menu was cut to a much smaller menu. They no longer had sports playing. The hours they were open were reduced. The beer used to be gluten reduced and was why I came here (gluten intolerant.) I had an incident last week after going to happy hour and got really sick. After talking to some of the staff I was informed they no longer reduce the gluten in the beer since the new owner took over. You can't just stop removing the gluten in the beer and not even tell the regulars or ppl coming in. Someone could have a serious reaction and be hospitalized. Luckily I was better after a few days.
The new owner has now laid off all the staff and it's turned into an Indian food buffet (yak and yeti.) I went into a yak and yeti one time a few years ago and walked out due to the rudeness of staff, smell and lack of cleanliness of the establishment.
I'm very upset spice trade is gone. This new owner destroyed spice trade. This is a great loss to the community and the memories we have all shared. My heart goes out to the great staff. Thank you for all the great memories! ❤️🙏
