Great ambiance; love the candles. I was very impressed with the food quality and taste for celiac dietary restrictions. The in-house gluten free pasta was amazing. Everything was perfectly tasty, professional, classy and memorable
This was the perfect fresh breakfast I’ve been searching for. Food was delicious, staff were helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing.
The “Bee Cake” pancakes piqued my interest and my waitress was happy to explain. Basically, it’s a gluten free pancake made with honey and pollen that helps the dough raise like a “normal” pancake. However it had a surprisingly familiar mouth feel and a welcomed nutty flavor! Couldn’t be happier!
The breakfast sandwich I got was also delicious and fresh. Truly enjoyed this breakfast so much, I might say it’s the best part of the whole city!
Was happy to see that they had gluten free pancakes. Visited twice and had a good experience both times. Apple juice and orange juice will charge you $5 so watch out for that.
Wildly delicious! Dinner at Boca Cinci was the best dinner I've had in years, to put it simply. We were in town for the day from Cleveland and this place was so convenient to our hotel (21c) and so atmospheric. It's set on two levels and we were seating upstairs - gorgeous atmosphere.
The food was phenomenal. And varied - it's one of those places where you want to try everything. Our table settled on the pommes souffle of course! I ordered the green bean salad with the perfectly cooked egg; and the handmade gluten-free ravioli with swiss chard, kale and ricotta - the pasta was beautifully made, paper thin and delicious. My husband had the tagliatelle with salsiccio and it was one of the best dishes I've tasted - subtly sweet and savory. We were full but had to try dessert - both the maple cheesecake and chocolate terrine (with olive oil, sea salt and pistachio) were unreal again!
Our server was so helpful and approachable, and made the experience even better.
The portion sizes, to me, were PERFECT. Please, no complaints about them being small - they were ideal for being able to order 2-3 items and feel perfectly satisfied - or even 1!
I'll be back to Cinci JUST for this spot.
Side note: I have a severe issue with gluten (I break out in body hives) so it's vital I'm not exposed to it. This place not only had a gluten free menu but had so may gluten free offerings and hand made pasta (it's a dream!). They also understood "celiac" and made me feel 100% confident.
Well worth your time & money. HIGHLY recommend.
Fantastic service and food and drinks! The chicken enchiladas, chips n salsa and the jalapeno cornbread were my favorites but everything was 10/10! Options available for dietary restrictions- gluten free/celiac
I’ve ordered here a couple of times and the presentation, flavor, and cooked temperature is always on point! Staff really follows the ticket order. I love their gluten free bun.

Katie P was fantastic! She was kind and attentive for our whole meal. I have gluten and dairy allergies and she had the manager prepare everything to make sure it was safe!
Dining at Jeff Ruby's in downtown Cincinnati was the finest restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The venue’s 1920s flapper-inspired ambiance near the fountain at Fifth and Vine set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. The drinks were expertly crafted; I particularly enjoyed a couple of perfectly balanced Manhattans.
The food was the highlight. I savored a perfectly cooked filet topped with crab meat, accompanied by fresh side vegetables, and ended with a rich gluten-free cheesecake. As someone with celiac disease, I was impressed by the staff’s conscientiousness regarding my dietary needs.
There were six of us, and even with a full restaurant, we could clearly hear each other’s conversation—noise control was spot on. The bill was on the higher side, but the experience was worth every penny. I can’t wait to return.
Amazing! They had gluten free options and could accommodate me on my other dietary restrictions. The food, drinks, and service were awesome, and I plan to come back next time I'm in town!
Via vite is decent, an old staple, though I’d say not unbelievable. I have celiac, so I avoided the gluten free pasta based on other reviews. Got the steak which was good and octopus appetizer which was excellent, as well as the chocolate crème brûlée for desert (interesting but not my number one). Waitress noted the kitchen does everything they can to avoid cross contamination which was appreciated greatly.
I had a mild gluten reaction the next day but not bad considering what I’m used to, so I’d say if you are sensitive to cross contamination you may want to avoid. Not sure if I’ll go back as I try to avoid all gluten when possible dining out.
We have been going here for years. The food is fresh and made on site. Their wild mushroom noodle soup is unlike anything I've ever had. Meatless, but hearty and filling. Enough to share for tomorrow's lunch. They make they own noodles, so they may run out if eating late, but the servers are happy to make recommendations. Open until 3am Friday and Saturday nights, this is a great place to have an exotic retro cocktail, shareable appetizers, and a fantastic, "not what you normally see as Chinese food in America" dinner. They even have gluten free options.
My husband and I dined here for our anniversary, and we couldn’t have been happier. The food was absolutely incredible! I have food allergies (gluten and dairy) and the chef and staff went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. We will definitely be returning, and we will continue to rave about this restaurant to our family and friends!
Still a fantastic breakfast and pretty darn good gluten free toast! The million dollar bacon was a tad to sweet for me this time...but that's probably just me. Great service, quick for downtown, and prices are appropriate. You'll need to find parking!
Amazing place have ate there. Several times been in there once every time was amazing plenty of vegan options I get gluten-free and vegan. Atmosphere is very nice and customer service was very nice.
Fabulous food and brewed iced tea. Lots of gluten free options. Birthday treat with a huge sparkler and a scoop of sorbet for my gluten free friend. So sweet to consider her. Sweet staff.
Beautiful spot downtown. My daughter had a little Mrs Bear pastry that she loved- I'm gluten-free so unfortunately I just had a coffee. Tho it was delicious 😋
My best friend, boyfriend, and I went to Baru’s grand opening and had so much fun!
We were seated toward the front of the restaurant so we were able to take in the full effect. The space is large and luxurious, with the bar in the center and tables surrounding, along with other seating, including an indoor fireplace toward the front as you walk in.
Our server, Christian, was friendly and knowledgeable. He introduced us to Baru, and let us know that the restaurant prides itself on freshness; they fly in shipments of fish everyday.
We split two small plates as appetizers: the edamame (from the regular menu) and the panko asparagus (from the special menu). Both were delicious!
With Christian’s recommendation, for his regular plate, my boyfriend had the chicken kotsu - he was very happy with it! My best friend had the gravlax roll (salmon, wasabi cream cheese, and cucumber), which he loved. For my regular plate, I had the Ishiyaki Wagyu Beef. This dish was similar to Korean BBQ in that you cook it yourself at the table on a stone plate. I also got a side of the tempura green tomatoes. My boyfriend and I split one of the special rolls: the brown butter roll. Everything was superb!
The chef, Robert Grace, was on the main floor for the grand opening. When he saw that our table was enjoying both the panko asparagus and the tempura green tomatoes, he came over and asked which one I preferred. Since they were both wonderful, I answered the tempura green tomatoes, only because that was what I was currently enjoying. He then shared that the tempura was gluten free. He also saw that I had ordered the Ishiyaki Wagyu Beef and mentioned that next week, he will be flying in a shipment of A5. I had never heard of A5. My best friend told me that A5 is premium wagyu beef. They massage the cows to get the perfect marbling. Christian, our server chimed in that sometimes, they even feed the cows sake (or red wine, if it’s Australian Wagyu).
We ended the evening with mochi for dessert. Our order came with three flavors: espresso, strawberry, and salted caramel. Perfect!
Overall, Baru was an excellent experience. There is something there for everyone, at any price range. I will be taking my family and friends there at every opportunity.
This is a great place to be with a group. Service was fast, and the staff were friendly and kind with the kids. The Chili is so good! They put so much cheese on top of it too. If you are gluten-free, you can ask the bowl of Chili without the pasta. The cheese fries were ok. I don't think we will order it next time.
Be prepared to try a new recipe of Chile, tough. It has different spices that make it special.
Awesome place! Tasty and creative cocktails and gluten free options! They have gluten free buns and the most amazing cauliflower crust pizza. Try the Sapphire drink! Live Music by Christian Michaels was fantastic also!
Places an order for 8 people on a Friday for pickup on Monday. Everything was ready on time. All the food was there and it was delicious! Great option when you have someone gluten free in the group and it had a vegetarian option for me!
