Owners are wonderful. Messaged with owner Deepak. Made sure my concerns were addressed regarding gluten cross contamination. I wish this restaurant was in Seattle.
I got bugolgi beef and it was good, the bowl was big. Their miso soup is aromatic. I loved their cheese and corn, because who doesn’t love cheese and corn?
First time in my life having corn tea and it’s going to be my thing from now on. So grateful this place introduced me to corn tea.
Also cookie points for being gluten free so that my partner can eat here with me :)
Absolutely delicious!! Like wow what a damn delight! So fresh and so good, wish I could eat here every day.
Gluten free and dairy free for the sensitive tummies. The food tastes soooo good and at prices the average folk can afford, really a unicorn of a combination.
Cute and welcoming space that has room and enthusiasm for children, amazing chef busting butt in a hot kitchen, menu has apps and meals so you can get a little or a lot.
Opted for the queso and hoooboy it was perfection, just a little heat with flavor that makes you say “I can’t believe it’s vegan!”
My wife and I visited Mosiac Taphouse and the Vietnamese cuisine inspired restaurant inside it - Chemgio (pronounced Chem-Yah). We met one of the owners, tending bar. The tap selection rotates and is a nice mix. This evening, I had a couple of different dry ciders. My wife enjoyed some pale ales.
You order food at the same counter as the beer, and are handed a notification puck that will light up and vibrate when your food is ready to pick up. [There's a button on the bottom of the puck, to silence it.] We tried the salt & pepper wings, the fried taro rice cakes, and the pork belly skewers. Everything was delicious, though the skewers were on the sweet side. We'll definitely come back to sample more beverages and more food*!
*the kitchen is entirely gluten-free, as is the menu, if that matters to you.
Super friendly and cute place. Gluten friendly but NOT Celiac friendly. I got sick off of it but mostly cross contamination. Good food and great atmosphere otherwise!
Excellent spot. Staff was friendly and food was delicious. Went with a gluten free friend and we appreciated that they had options for gluten free folks too.
This place has it all! Abundant coffee choices, so many delicious pastry and cookie choices including gluten free, seating for groups and singles, adorable atmosphere, convenient location, friendly baristas!
The best tasting, most generously topped pizza in the city. Their gluten-free pie is to die for. Excellent beer snd wine choices, and as always, the same dedicated staff doing a great job, every time.
Owner operated and delicious food .we were visiting portland and amazed by the test of the food . The 100% gluten free teff Enjera is amazingly lemelem (ለምለም ) as we call it back home . I loved the Dulet kitefo, and my friend liked both the juicy lamb tibes and the fish .we had lunch for 3 days in a row and that speaks volumes. Nicely spiced and cooked. The owner also offered us to test a wine made by one of their own. Which was organic and smooth.
Give it a try if you are in portland area and you will never be disappointed.
The sign from outside may look a little old ( fading) . But inside is completely different atmosphere and service, I witnessed a significant amount of locals coming to the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Keep up the good job . Hop to see you again . 🙏
This place has delicious gluten free vegan burgers, onion rings, and curly fries! I had the most satisfying lunch. I highly recommend their house made black bean patty. So yummy!
I keep walking by this spot and I finally went in to grab some of their brunch sandwiches to go. They had a really solid gluten free option for my partner and we liked it so much we went back for dinner! The empanadas were incredible and so many bonus points for the gluten free options. Will definitely be back!
Kind staff, very yummy food and easy to eat gluten free and vegan! We went for lunch and it was quite cold inside (felt like the heat wasn't on at all), but otherwise it was great and we will definitely be back.
We've had Mikasa delivery a few times and finally got to go in person. It's a nice, small, restaurant with a few tables along 1 wall. The waitresses were friendly and helpful with our questions before ordering.
We got the gyoza, edamame, miso ramen, laksa ramen (made gluten free), cali & avocado rolls, and a poke bowl. Everyone was very happy with their order and gobbled it. The laksa was nicely spicy and the soft boiled egg in the ramen was so good.
We'll definitely be back!
a little pricey, but a good serving size. the selections were great and they even provided a gluten-free breaded chicken option, which was really good in the Caesar salad.
I love Burgerville. It's always one of our favorite go to places while in Portland. I love that they have gluten free options and the kids are always happy to go too!
Truly a unique experience. I was unaware of Burma's (Myanmar) geographical local and treasures. The influence of SE Aisa, China and Bangladesh make for an eclectic menu, of which much is gluten free by result. Their fried chicken is carefully bribed and marinated in an array of spices and fried to perfections. Just a light dusting of rice flour is all that is needed for such a satisfying crunch. The rice dumpling (GF) was so savory and satisfying. The vinegar and umami hits from the the fish sauce did wonders. The staff is passionate and the chefs are very approachable (when not busy). We talked food for quite some time. A must try for anyone looking for a unique array of menu options. Oh, their cocktails are also carefully crafted and executed to perfection.
Enjoyed dinner while in the area from out of town. Typical Thai restaurant. Easy to miss when driving by as there are 2 trees blocking it from the road. Street parking available down the block. Food was great and portions were huge! Service was friendly and fast. We ordered drunken noodles along with the cashew chicken. They can make almost everything gluten free which is a huge plus. This is a pretty close rival to our favorite Thai place back home.
Food is great but ordering is annoying. You have to do it virtually. You can’t ask questions very easily and the dietary restrictions aren’t easily identified, filtered or something you can ask easily either. It seems they are short staffed and very busy so it can be difficult to get a person to talk to you or help you. There’s also no trashcan, which is confusing and you can’t reach the utensils for to go orders yourself. I find it frustrating to order there, but the food really is very delicious. I’ve been there a few times and there are a lot of options for dairy and gluten-free people.
Sooooo disappointed to see fries explicitly marked GF and then to have to tell my 6 year old with celiac that we should have gone to mcmenamins. Again. We love supporting small shops but you've GOT to understand that labels matter! This is Portland! If you were misgendering you'd be mortified. Give the same respect to allergy labels. We run our lives around these allergies.
(Also I spent $100 on four burgers and they came out burned. My 8 year old said, "this is worse than McDonald's!")
Best Breakfast Ever. I am tempted to move to Portland just so that I can eat here every day. The sweet potato pancake was mmmmm so yummy. Our server Shane was super pleasant and made some excellent gluten-free free suggestions.
We ordered the Rovente Vegetarian and Herbivore Delite pizzas for dinner Sunday late afternoon. The pizzas were excellent! The crust was medium (not thick or thin) with good gluten (a bit stretchy), good taste, and not greasy or soggy. The toppings were full and fresh, especially the artichoke and zucchini. The balance of sauce and cheese was perfect and not overdone.
We attempted to order online, but after entering credit card details we received a message that the system was down and we should contact the store. Calling in the order was quick and easy. We were told the pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes, but we had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes as the pizzas came fresh from the oven. Service was friendly. There were no other customers in the store.
One of my all time favorite food cart pods in all of Portland! Something for everyone! Meat, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, you name it, you can prob find something to eat here!
Outstanding food! The cook is wonderful and helpful about what is gluten free! The portion sizes are very large but you will not want your stop eating them!
We were certain we wanted to come here after the ear piercing. So, we had called the night before and found out most of their food is gluten free except the gumbo. My husband is gluten free so I had the Trinity gumbo. He had the red beans and rice. Hands down some of the best we have had! I would recommend to anyone looking for Cajun in PDX. My husband was told about this spot from a coworker and we looked it up. We love Cajun food, so it was a must try. We would go back in a heartbeat.
If you have a good allergy, call them and they know all of their ingredients/spices well to aide you. I can’t wait to go back!
We went for brunch today for the first time, expecting a line and didn’t have to wait at all (2pm Saturday). Lots of options for a gluten free vegetarian. Can’t wait to go back - I’ll be dreaming of the potato pancake!
Had a late Lunch with my Daughter here, she had the Mushroom Marsala with gluten free pasta and chicken and it was Wonderful! I had the Fettucini Alfredo with Walnut pesto and it too was Divine! Great little spot!
This place had a really good burger 🍔 which surprised me with all the vegan/gluten options available here - my GF got the chicken sandwich and gave me a bite - it was great, I will definitely eat here again 😋
Luis and his crew are amazing! Quality fresh food, he was extra cautious about my celiac disease and went above and beyond. Potato and cheese taquitios with avocado sauce were delicious and the pastor burrito bowl is *chef's kiss*. We will definitely be back anytime we are in town.
I was warmly welcomed by Hollace and her associate at the counter. I was inquiring about gluten free options and was navigated in a positive and patient manner. Fantastic customer service and wonderful menu options !!! I will be back often!
Native Bowl is a must-visit food cart! The food is absolutely amazing, with high-quality vegan options and plenty of gluten-free choices to cater to everyone. I've tried most of their bowls and can confidently say you can't go wrong with any of them. Each bowl is packed with delicious flavors and topped with their signature yummy sauces that really set them apart. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving tasty, plant-based meals!
This place is incredible. The prices are very reasonable for the great quality food. There are several dairy and gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions. I recommend highly. The dishes are varied and not the usual.
Dog friendly, order at the counter with a fun if unique atmosphere (cartoon wonderland with just a . . .hint of happy tree friends) burgers with gluten free options and frozen treats
