Reservation taken for a bachelorette party brunch, we are not disappointed on the contrary! The setting is very cozy, the brunch was delicious (vegan and gluten-free option for my part, excellent and nourishing! I highly recommend!
My partner being vegetarian, it was difficult to find somewhere to eat in Sarlat in the Dordogne, a mecca of French gastronomy, but that was without counting on La Chèvre et le Chou.
3 starters (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan)
3 main courses (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan)
3 desserts (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan)
Each dish is prepared with finesse and precision.
A delight for the taste buds, proving that even without fish or meat, it is possible to truly enjoy eating vegetarian dishes.
In addition to the culinary experience, La Chèvre et le Chou is located not far from the main square, but the interior courtyard isolates you from the noise, allowing you to spend a pleasant time.
Thank you for the warm hospitality and the delicious food.
Gluten-free is no problem here! Thank you!!
Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious food.
Gluten-free, no problem here! Thank you!!
I ate a gluten-free pasta with truffles, cream of mushrooms and burrata. I really complimented the waiter on the cooking of the gluten-free pasta because it was perfect (I was afraid it would be overcooked), difficult to find even in Italy honestly...
However, the dish wasn't bad at all!
We came twice for breakfast/brunch and we were never disappointed. The dishes are delicious and delicious. A little expensive but within Hossegor prices.
plus, lots of gluten-free and veggie/vegan options 🌱
We'll come back.
A charming place, the service was very good, and despite it being close to closing time, they treated us very kindly. If we ever return to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, we'll repeat the experience. Plus, one of us has celiac disease, and they provided us with wonderful service and options.
DS Bordeaux. An address to know! Exceptional welcome, high quality products prepared with care and finesse. Those intolerant to gluten and milk will also find what they are looking for here.
Very well-prepared, varied, organic, and seasonal cuisine, with vegan and gluten-free options! A real must-try.
We went with our two daughters and had a very short wait for service, which is important with young children... worth noting, as it's very pleasant!
We had a blast!
As a vegan it’s just a great place! Everything is entirely vegan with some gluten-free desserts.
We tasted a lot of dishes and everything was delicious.
On the other hand, it would be nice to have the same proportions every day 😉
Small restaurant in a great place with outdoor seating. Food looked great for non celiacs.
I have symptomatic celiac disease and have to follow a strict gluten-free diet. The waitress asked for me and there were three gluten-free options
1. Red Curry
2. Bon He
3. Tam Belly
If you have celiac disease, please be super careful and ask again, even if it is uncomfortable.
I was first brought a dish for which, when I asked, the chef wasn't sure whether they had used soy sauce containing gluten. So they swapped the dish again.
I tolerated the food well afterwards, but without sauce it was okay, but not super tasty either.
Very pleasant, spacious restaurant. Choice, fresh products.
Fair price.
The honey sauce is killer and what's more, they sell it!
Being gluten intolerant, I can make my own salad without getting sick. A real pleasure.
Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, but the food is very good, very refined, the menu changes every day (starter + main course or main course + dessert = 18€50, full menu = 22€)
Really excellent welcome. The owner has a lot of humor and knows how to welcome his customers, a real pleasure
Vegetarian meal, without too many gluten-based foods, I recommend +++
Very disappointed by my visit to the restaurant that I had known since my childhood. 😥
The site highlights respect for the different possible diets and for that, I take my hat off to them! 🤗
On the other hand, I had a very bad experience regarding my celiac disease (gluten): no bread, the only possible dessert that day was ice cream in the middle of winter (like in many non-specialized restaurants), a waitress with little awareness. who explains to me that there is “normally” no gluten in the dishes without having it confirmed by the chef.
However, we had booked several days in advance: it was therefore possible to plan all these elements. So I had a very bad meal and unfortunately will not return to this establishment which is not as tasty as at the time 😥
Good luck all the same to this restaurant which dazzles us with its location. 🍃
To counter the owner's response:
Just reread my review. I did not make any comments regarding the dishes on the menu. To clarify, I am talking about aperitifs and appetizers for example as well as the lack of gluten-free bread in a high-end restaurant.
Likewise for desserts, only offer ice cream for celiac diets, it’s classic. It has happened to me that many restaurants offer me at least a last minute fruit salad just to finish with a sweet touch.
Also, I posted my review in July but my visit was this winter. I don't see why it's problematic to leave a later review.
I find it very good that you take the time to respond to our comments, thank you.
On the other hand, reading it carefully to respond as best as possible without overwhelming the customer who is reporting an unhappy experience is something else.
In a restaurant like yours, calling the customer even seems more appropriate and consistent to me.
Very good, quality products, original cuisine, well cooked, very good gluten-free bread, pleasant setting (the only downside I wasn't very hot) but very pretty decor, and good lactose-free and gluten-free alternatives. To test !
SANTOSHA means contentment, satisfaction. In Bayonne, we were very well received. The place is pleasant, even the restrooms are nice. The dishes are very good, made with good quality products. The coffee is also very good. Being gluten-free, I ate very well.
We enjoyed ourselves in every way. Thank you, I recommend you.
This place is absolutely amazing, both the food and staff are top notch. I have a bad gluten allergy (coeliac) and let them know 24h before coming there. They pulled out all the stops.. they even went to get some gluten free bread something they didn't have in stock normally. Long story short they went out of their way to make our evening the best. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was amazing and the setting was cozy. We will be back for more!
Excellent vegetarian restaurant with ultra-fresh vegetables and a menu without animal dairy products... gluten-free... vegan... we loved it! Congratulations and thank you for this wonderful welcome!
We were shopping and looking for a place to eat and it was a very pleasant surprise!!! They have GLUTEN FREE food. Spectacular service, very friendly and very good food
A very good surprise... Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking in the neighborhood, we loved it: seasonal soup, gratin with chicken curry and coral lentils, and especially gluten-free fondant for dessert... The setting is very simple but delicious and quality cuisine!
Very nice little kitchen. Simple and delicious takeaway dishes and desserts with a warm welcome and quality products: vegetarian, fresh and gluten-free! Thank you so much !
A beautiful, warm place where you will be happy to stop and enjoy a good coffee, a hot dish made with fresh produce or even a homemade pastry. From vegetarian to gluten-free, Hélène thinks of everyone!
We called on Lucille de Mamita for a catering service for 40 people. It was very good, organic, fresh, local, she was able to adapt to our requests for our gluten-free guests and for veggies. We highly recommend it.
The best Poké I've ever eaten, homemade ingredients! Taste, good flavors, good advice!
Taking into account food intolerances.
Gluten free in sauces and pastries.
All this for an unbeatable price!
We had a blast!
Great!!! The setting is magnificent, the cuisine is original and very fine. (Lactose and gluten intolerance super) The service is great!!! The whole family loved it ❤️
I went there with my celiac daughter (gluten intolerant) and we ate really well. She had a Burger and I had a fish. I asked if she could taste my dish, they told me no because they weren't sure and we had the pleasant surprise that the waitress brought her a plate with pieces of fish for her to taste. I really found it exceptional and really great. A big thank you to the kitchen and dining team. I really recommend it, it's really good and super nice.
Very good, refined and plentiful, possibility of requesting gluten-free.
The service is impeccable, very attentive staff.
Finally, they agreed without any problem to heat the dish for my intolerant daughter.
Not knowing they could cook it.
Really a very good address.

It is delicious! Organic products, prepared without glutamate. Generous plates, some dishes are gluten-free. I haven't tried the starters yet, but I also enjoyed the desserts. The staff is very pleasant. An unbeatable value for money !
