My husband has celiac and so we never eat anywhere that is 100% GF. I had read great reviews online about Riz’s and when we were there on a trip I pushed for us to go and try it. I am so glad I did, every dish we tried was delicious. I loved how soft and tender the dumplings were, the Peking duck and wrappers were amazing. The Peking dumpling special were so flavorful and tender. We over ordered at the table knowing we would take it all back to the hotel for us to to reheat and eat the rest of the week. Peking Duck for breakfast is something everyone should try, it was amazing the next morning still. The owner was so gracious and friendly, we listened to every recommendation and was thrilled with everything we had. We even took one of each dessert home and they were all amazing. I highly recommend eating here for celiacs and non celiacs alike. It is so wonderful to find a place that understands the importance of a GF completely safe no cross contamination kitchen AND also makes the most delicious Asian food you can have. While we didn’t have every item on the menu we did try a lot of plates and every single plate was delicious. We will ALWAYS come back when in Toronto, this restaurant is such a win, I wish they delivered to Brooklyn 🥰

So I’ve been gluten free for a while and the bread scene is just rough…it just is! This is the best bread I’ve had! And the donut balls!!!OMG!!! I have no words! They are worth the drive from wherever you are! They come in threes because you can’t have just one! Dangerously delightful! I’m going back tomorrow for more! Overjoyed that I found this place!

Soooooo good!! Highly recommend whether you need to eat gluten free or not! Super fresh, hot & fantastic tasting gluten free Chinese food. It's better than any "regular" Chinese food I'd had prior to being diagnosed celiac. Everything we tried was delicious - fried rice, chop suey, chicken balls, general tao chicken, etc. but my favourite was the honey garlic pork. Everything was so good we ordered more food for takeout to go along with our leftovers from dinner. Also a great selection of frozen items. It was well worth the hour & a half drive for us to get there & we'll definitely make the trip to get there a few times a year!

Bunner's Bake Shop in Kensington Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious vegan and gluten-free baked goods. They offer a wide variety of treats, from cakes and cookies to bars and other desserts. I was particularly keen to try their pies, but unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we arrived. This speaks to their popularity, so I'd recommend arriving early for the best selection. Despite missing out on the pie, I was still impressed with the other options available. I especially enjoyed their date squares, which were both sweet and chewy.

Julia made this an incredible experience! I am so grateful for Julia and The Mule, as a celiac and anaphylactic to Peanuts and Tree Nuts, my time finding restaurants that I feel truly safe is rare. This was the first place in Canada where I felt that safety to just explore the menu, relax, and enjoy. Everyone that came to our table was kind, informed, and awesome! Also the food IS AMAZING! Best tacos I’ve had in Ontario. Thank you again to Julia and the team for making a memorable meal and amazing experience. Will be coming back to Hamilton just for The Mule!

As a celiac, I was almost glutened here. When I asked a server if the beer was gluten free, I was told everything on the menu was. But when my lager arrived, the bottle listed barley. I double checked with another server, who confirmed it wasn’t gluten free, apologized, and kindly brought me a quinoa-based beer instead (which was good, just a little warm). I don’t want to be too harsh. Overall, the food was great, and it’s such a gift to have a spot where I can enjoy a tres leches cake without fear. But this experience is a good reminder to always double check, even in places that seem safe. It also highlights how important it is for all staff to be fully trained on gluten and allergens.

Turtledoves is a great gluten-free bakery! I have Celiac disease, and they make some of the best bread I have tried. Their hazelnut chocolate croissants are also delicious. I highly recommend checking out Turtledoves — you’ll be impressed by the quality!

I was so happy to find a fully vegan bakery in Ottawa, I never would've guessed that it was gluten free :) and kosher and nut free. I stopped here for brunch and got a cinnamon roll, a banana chocolate muffin and a berry iced tea slushie. All DELICIOUS!

Absolutely worth going to. Yes my short review is biased, but if you read the longer version below. It’ll make sense. Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Speed: 10/10 For the longer review - those who care to read: I won't pretend the restaurant is like a five-star hotel. In comparison to your top high-end luxury restaurants, it would be four stars. But you can't compare apples to oranges. The one most crucial thing to note is the belief, the idea, and the story behind the restaurant. They are specially tailored to people who have strict allergy requirements. My personal needs are to avoid gluten, nuts, egg, and more. Try that anywhere else…. Most places will just "nicely" shoo you away—and while I understand any restaurant ultimately is a business to cater to the masses, those of us who have strict, deathly dietary requirements can finally experience a place to dine without fear. To enjoy a time with family and friends eating the same things. To experience the fun and joy of picking at another person's plate. For those reasons, and to me, it's better than any Michelin-star restaurant. If you have allergies to gluten, if you have celiac disease, you can finally share the experience too. You may come out an emotional train wreck like me.

Winnie's has been a go to for my daughter who has Celiac. We have only purchased their desserts and she LOVES them. Maybe one day we will try some of their other food items. If you are looking for a CAKE you need to pre-order. They have various flavors available.

The sandwiches are incredibly well-crafted, with ingredients and sauces that complement each other perfectly. You’d never guess they’re gluten-free. Even my toddler (who usually refuses to eat sandwiches) loved it. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Hope one day to see you guys in my area - i'd be ordering every day!

Ginger snap, oatmeal, and Linzer cookies were amazing! Fruit muffin with jam filling was light, airy and filled with berries. It’s always a wonderful surprise when a gluten-free bakery pops up unexpected in a mall you’ve never been to before. You made my day! I can’t add any photos because I ate them all so quickly.

The sandwich is as satisfying as it looks, with ingredients that come together to deliver a delicious bite where basil is the star. They also have a mini side salad, but I opted for an orange almond cake too, and the citrusy addition pairs nicely with the sweet, nutty almond base.

In my humble yet educated opinion (18 years celiac ) this is the best bakery I have ever eaten at. Great options for the dairy free and vegan eaters as well. From the ease of ordering 2 loaves of olive bread to the warm friendly atmosphere at the store my experience was perfect. I walked in expecting bread and left with so many sweet and savoury treats. Great little store for products as well. If you’re in the area for work or for a holiday and have special food needs this is the place to check out .

They had a lot of freezer items, and different shapes of gluten free pastas, which was nice to see. There were also a lot of lovely baked goods in the case. I read that they had GF beaver tails, so that's why I came. I was excited to try my first beaver tail (newcomer to Canada). When I got it, it was slightly warm on the edges, but refrigerator-cold and damp in the middle. My partner told me they are usually fried, so it should have been piping hot. It was disappointing. I was thinking about getting a sandwich, but overheard someone ask about getting pasta, but it would have taken 40 min for that. Surprising, since they use the dried pasta they sell to make it. I had some questions about items, but felt dismissed and almost belittled by the answers. I was off-put by the rude tone, and combined with my disappointing menu item, won't be back. I'm sure it's fine if you're just going for cookies or frozen goods, but some other folks and myself were wondering if someone was actually there. It took quite some time for the owner to come out from the back. Not sure if that's the norm- maybe they were short-staffed, but don't go unless you have lots of extra time to spare.

My wife has been wanting to try this place for a little while now! It was worth the wait! She found out about it on Tic Toc! We had an awesome meal with all the dips! This place is 100% gluten free. My wife is just figuring out about gluten and she had a complete worry free dinner!! We had the Dip Dip Dip hooray and we tried 4 different kinds of tacos! Well priced, amazing service and the food is absolutely amazing! 10/10!!

I ordered a vanilla slab cake with chocolate icing, gluten-free, and dairy free. It is by far the best gluten-free dairy free cake I have ever had. All of my guests loved it. I highly recommend this bakery! I will definitely be returning.

I ordered a churro cake and chocolate cake pops for my husband’s birthday and it was so beautiful and delicious. It was the first order from here and it did not disappoint at all! The cakes didn’t taste gluten free, as in they were flavoursome and moist. It was just so good! I will definitely be ordering from here again!

We’ve dined at The Mule many times and it has been our go-to restaurant for eating out, especially since both my daughter and I are celiac and have always appreciated your gluten-free options and care. Unfortunately, our most recent visit to the Cambridge location was disappointing. The service fell very short of what we’ve come to expect. Our server got our drink orders wrong twice, and there was a noticeably long wait for our meals, despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy at all. We’ve always valued The Mule for its reliability and attentiveness, especially given our dietary needs, which makes this experience all the more disappointing We may not be returning.

Boon Bakery proved me wrong in the best way. This 100% gluten-free and dairy-free bakery is a cozy little spot in downtown Owen Sound, and it’s clear from the moment you walk in that there’s serious talent behind the counter. Everything LOOKS amazing – the craftsmanship of the baking is on point.  We picked up a few treats: Nanaimo bars, carrot cakes, and butter tarts—each one beautifully crafted and full of flavour. These aren’t just good for people who need gluten-free—they’re just plain good. The attention to detail is impressive. Everything looks like it belongs in a pastry case in a high-end patisserie, but with the added bonus of being gluten-sensitive and dairy sensitive friendly. You can tell there’s a lot of heart and skill in every bite. While I have had many negative experiences with gluten-free baking, I have also had some truly positive ones, and I always keep an open mind and palate when trying a new bakery. So, If you’ve written off gluten-free baking in the past, Boon might just change your mind. It’s a lovely little bakery doing big things—and definitely worth a visit.

I came here to dine in last weekend for the first time, closer to their closing time and was greeted very nicely and food was very amazing! I love all gluten free idea. My drink was a bit bitter so i went and asked for a different drink, the supervisor (im assuming, short brown guy) was very rude to me and said, “what do you want then?” And then slammed the drink on the floor. This is ridiculous behaviour. I understand the hurry to close but this is not the way to go!

Whenever I visit Ottawa, I make sure to stop here before I leave. They consistently have a good variety of delicious fresh desserts and also a frozen section of more savoury options. My friends that typically eat gluten and dairy have even said some of their desserts are better, which I totally agree with! Best Nanaimo bar selection 🤤 I think using a tad less sugar would be a bit better overall if you are trying to limit your sugar intake (I usually portion the desserts) but overall, you won’t find a better gluten/dairy free/vegan dessert bakery.
