I love that they have an iced (“frozen”) chocolate drink for people who can’t do caffeine! They don’t charge extra for alternative milk, they have vegan and gluten free options, and their service is wonderful (shout out to Gavin for answering my one billion questions and for being so patient and kind - what a star!). Their cupcakes are super tasty. Their icing is made of icing sugar (confectionery sugar) I think (rather than being buttercream), so they are on the sweet side, but I have a sweet tooth so I don’t mind. I got the chocolate raspberry, lemon, and blue velvet (some of Monday’s flavours) and I really enjoyed them all, though I’m a sucker for lemon. My husband got the birthday cake cupcake and was stoked. I love that you can get tiny versions of their big cupcakes because now I get to taste them all, and that makes me very happy!

I ordered a hibiscus margarita and cheese sticks with pepperoni, bacon and jalapeños with a side of marinara and ranch. I come here often and Jamie has been very sweet and attentive even during a chaotic rush. She makes sure all her tables are doing well and answers any questions about the menu. She offers gluten free pizza and desserts which are really good! Recommended trying their hubcaps, satisfies the sweet craving! Thanks for the great service Jamie! ☺️

Via 313 is my favorite pizza in Austin. You can never go wrong with the Detroit style pizza, the Detroiter is my go-to because of the double pepperoni. They also make really good meatballs and have an excellent gluten-free crust. Check out their Happy Hour!

Finally! Gluten free pancakes that are perfect! I was so happy with my breakfast. I got the gf pancakes, fruit, and bacon. All were excellent. We went on a weekday morning and there was no wait. The staff were super sweet and the restaurant was clean. I’ll be back soon!

Sazan has good ramen! I am happy they have gluten free ramen although I wish the noodles were more similar to the non-gf version. The waitress, Gabby, was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is nice although be prepared to be sitting right next to strangers. Overall, we had a nice time and will be going back!

We hosted a party here for graduation. Two of our party are celiac. The staff was flawless in making this a gluten free experience with out any awkward moments or missteps. The food beyond that was absolutely exceptional. Top 3 dinning experiences ever. From cocktails to appetizers, main meal, and dessert. Excellent.

Great Gluten Free (GF) options labeled on menu, although I wish places just had a separate GF menu. Pork chop & Peahces was phenomenal, along with the soup, Cesar salad, and meatloaf! Usually no wait so reservations not always necessary. Feels healthy.

The pad thai and fried rice were good. We also had a red curry dish and a tom yum soup. Both were OK but nothing special. Curry was a bit too spicy (though red curry is always spicy). They do have a lot of gluten free options which is great and we thank them for. They were also pet friendly.

So glad to be living in a state where Ike’s is readily available. Always prepared with care, and the gluten free bread is so good that I’ve wondered if it was really gluten free before! Just ordered a bunch of sandwiches for friends, and they were impressed and satisfied. Ike’s, keep it up.

Jack Allen's is legit one of the best places in Austin. We've been a fan for years, and they've even catered our wedding back in 2011 when they used to do that. Jack's menu has stood the test of time. Their specials are fantastic, and when they found out the margaritas has gluten in them (my wife is allergic) they even changed their recipe for it. Hands down great value. You can seat 2 adults, two kids, appetizers, drinks, and dessert for far more reasonable prices than "trendy" places who either charge more or dont have nearly as good food. If you don't like Jack's, your standards are wrong and I suggest you just move back to LA where at least you can feel important about it.

Mr. Natural has been doing veg in Austin since 1988 and it was honestly refreshing to visit a vegetarian spot that harkened back to a time when the dining format was as unique in a veggie restaurant as it was to find one at all. Point being there is a little learning curve to dining at Mr. Natural in my opinion. You order at the counter, which is the same order spot for baked goods (which are in three different locations), take out, dine in, juice, grab n go or soft serve. So you need to know what you want (definitely preview the menu online) before you step up to the counter and what your objective is. The staff is very, very helpful and will explain the salad bar (which is a whole other thing) and the validated parking situation (which is another). If you get stuff to dine-in, staff will bring it out and call out your name. They will bring silverware but you are on your own to retrieve water (by the salad bar). The other interesting throwback I am more thankful for is the food. Almost everything is made in house and is not overly sweet or salty. In this day and age of frozen beyond burger restaurants I could not have been happier. The mole enchiladas were excellent and I bought waaaay too many baked goods to go. I did not realize beforehand that Mr. Natural had the widest and best selection of vegan baked goods in the Austin area with many gluten free options and beautiful custom cakes! This place will go in my regular rotation and I highly recommend it for a breakfast option. *dog friendly patio

Amazing. Got the G-Free Pesto Chicken Club with fruit. Absolutely delicious. The pesto and caramelized onions are an awesome combo (if somewhat messy, haha). It was presented excellently-- even had a toothpick sign declaring it gluten free. Service was very friendly. Food didn't come out super fast, but it tasted like the onions were freshly caramelized, and that takes time. The atmosphere was great--a blend of retro diner and modern. I am thoroughly glad I stopped in today.

Delicious Korean fusion spot, with a great gluten free selection. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and guiding me to both gluten free and dairy free options (the latter not too hard in Asian cuisine). The portions are large and an appetizer and main dish some could be shared amongst friends depending on how hungry you are.

Great donuts, lots of vegan and gluten free options. I wish I had found this place sooner. I recently tried something other than the donuts here, wow. The macarons are perfection. I went to pick up some as a treat for the office and also got myself a kolache. Everyone was raving about how good the macarons and cake balls were. The kolache was amazing, the texture and flavor were masterful.

Absolutely incredible BBQ — way better than Franklin’s. We visited Terry Black’s around 12–1 PM and were blown away. Despite the crowd, their process is super streamlined and efficient — the line moved quickly, and they still had all cuts of meat available. We ordered the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, along with potato salad, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler for sides. Every single bite was amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — I didn’t even need sauce. That’s how good it was. The potato salad was surprisingly dairy-free (and still delicious!), and they offer a great selection of dairy-free, gluten-free, and even vegan side options. The peach cobbler was the perfect sweet finish — warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. The setup is also great with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. No complaints whatsoever. Terry Black’s is hands down one of the best BBQ spots in Austin — so much better than Franklin’s, in my opinion. Don’t miss it!

I LOVE WHOLLY COW!!! Super GEM in Austin! Their grass fed burgers are the most delicious that I have ever had anywhere! Super fresh and clean meat and presentation and even a yummy gluten free bun. I had so much energy afterwards to complete computer work and clean my house, it was great! Highly recommend the delicious sweet potato fries too, super delicious and clean non seed oil, gluten free cooking. Yay!!! I will definitely be back and I am recommending to everyone! We had the tacos, flautas, quesadilla and caesar and all were amazing (and gluten free!) We wound up accidentally leaving something at our table and the staff were so quick to message me via OpenTable, where we made the reservation, to let me know. Highly recommend!

We haven't been to KL in awhile so we were excited when friends wanted to go. Not what it used to be.... Waiter messed up a couple of our orders. I ordered gluten-free platter but it came out regular & had to be remade. Everyone at our table was totally finished eating before mine finally came out. The waiter forgot the butter & syrup. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs were cooked very thin and were like rubber and the pancakes were super dry & crumbly. Then it took forever for the waiter to separate the tickets but then got two of them wrong & had to get that sorted out. No manager ever came to ask how things were or to help the waiter out with the issues. We used to love Kerbey Lane. Definitely not worth it now.

Ate here for dinner with a friend tonight, absolutely delicious meal! Very impressed with their menu, everything we ordered was good! Plenty of gluten free items marked on their menu which made it very convenient for me to order. Only downside is the price - pretty expensive, so definitely an every once in a while or special occasion type of restaurant. Also skip the drinks, while they were good, they were pricey ($15-20), so save your money for the food!!

Cockti Chicken had been on my radar for months, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Even with a bustling crowd and numerous pickup orders, our food came out quickly. We initially planned to get our food to-go due to limited seating – there are only two picnic tables directly next to the food truck under the awning, which were occupied. Luckily, a table freed up just as our food was ready, and we enjoyed our meal on-site. (Note: The lot does have other tables with orange umbrellas, but those are next to the Thai food truck, so we were unsure if they were open to all patrons.) The chicken here is phenomenal! We were blown away by the spicy 3-piece – the skin was perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the meat was incredibly juicy. We also tried the Szechuan sandwich, which featured another perfectly cooked piece of chicken, delicious sauces, baby arugula, and what I believe were some onions. The mac and cheese with spicy chicken was a decadent treat. A quick note for others: it does come with cilantro, which I personally love, but wanted to mention for those who aren't fans! My only regret was forgetting my Lactaid, but I happily took it home to properly enjoy every bite! I already plan to return with my Lactaid box to savor it fully. I also appreciate their gluten-free chicken options and a gluten-free tiramisu that I'm eager to try next time. Seating is limited, but the excellent food makes it worth it for both dine-in (if a table is free!) or takeout. Parking in the shared lot can be tight, but side street parking is usually available. They have limited drink options (water, Coke, Coke Zero), so consider bringing your own water bottle if you prefer. Overall, an excellent experience. Cockti Chicken is a must-try for juicy, crisp have a group interested in either fried chicken or the nearby Thai food.

I love this place and that they use healthier ingredients in their pizza. They use organic wheat for their crust, usually I have to eat gluten free but I am able to eat their crust. They also use olive oil which is much healthier the than the cheaper synthetic oils many restaurants use. I love pesto and their vegetarian pesto pizza is amazing! I also really enjoy their tomato sauce when I get a regular veggie pizza and like to add pineapple to it. Their custom cheese blend is great too!

I celebrated my birthday here, and hands down, this was the best dining experience I’ve had in Austin in the last three years. The ambiance, customer service, and music were all top-tier. I ordered the chef’s special—a five-course meal that turned into six, thanks to our incredible server, Kendra. She was thoughtful, kind, and knew the menu inside and out. Every recommendation she made was spot on. Plus, my lady is gluten- and dairy-free, and anytime a restaurant can accommodate her needs without skipping a beat, it’s a huge win. 5-star everything—can’t wait to come back!

Friendly old school (1978) diner with American comfort food classics. Dont expect anything to be healthy :) They don’t have fresh squeezed orange juice, or real maple syrup (though they do offer some whole wheat, vegetarian, & gluten free options. They also have organic apple juice.) They keep cost down, service is efficient and friendly, and all food was perfectly prepared. Very kid friendly.
