When traveling with someone with celiac, you always have a fear in the back of your head that they might have an attack after they eat. Don’t need to worry about that here. Food was amazing my sister and I kept nodding our heads in enjoyment as we ate. If I find myself in Portland again will be sure to stop.
Vibrant atmosphere and creative sushi options make this spot a must-visit, with standout rolls and delightful cocktails to elevate any occasion.

My husband, son and I came here for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely fabulous. I could not be more pleased with the staff and the food. The restaurant itself is beautiful and it is a truly wonderful experience. I really enjoyed being here for my birthday and enjoying this overall with my son and husband and son,They even made sure not to cause contaminate with my gluten and dairy allergies and I really appreciated that kindness.

The vibes are immaculate here at Rangoon Bistro, nothing short of heaven, really. Where else can you get the most delicious gluten-free Burmese cuisine while Roky Erickson plays in the background? The vibes are just a plus; the food is so memorable that if you're like my family, you'll be talking about it all night after, and craving it again the very next day. There wasn't a single dish that went unfinished, from the chickpea tofu salad that surprised us all with its perfectly balanced and bright, rich sauce and tart pickled mustard, to the pork noodles that delighted us with its smokiness and generous pork, the noodles bouncy and flawless. We loved the spice on the dal fritters in the coconut broth, and practically licked the bowl clean! Even the cocktails were complex and delicious. If you're looking for a sure thing, look no further! Rangoon Bistro, we'll be back, and it won't be long!

The service is great, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable!
Their food could be really great if it wasn't hit or miss. The pork egg rolls with fresh cilantro are *delicious*, but they are consistently overcooked, despite asking them pull them out of the frier sooner.
All in all, it's a solid place with good gluten-free food and friendly service. However, it does seem to be a bit overpriced at times.

I got bugolgi beef and it was good, the bowl was big. Their miso soup is aromatic. I loved their cheese and corn, because who doesn’t love cheese and corn?
First time in my life having corn tea and it’s going to be my thing from now on. So grateful this place introduced me to corn tea.
Also cookie points for being gluten free so that my partner can eat here with me :)

I planned a delightful surprise for my wife's birthday weekend by making reservations at this incredible spot! Considering her gluten intolerance and her love for sushi, it was the perfect choice—plus, it was just a short stroll from our hotel. The menu was not only extensive but bursting with flavor, offering something for every palate. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, truly enhancing our dining experience. Overall, we had an amazing time with top-notch service that made the evening unforgettable!

Nudi is one of our favorite restaurants. We just went on 2/7 and had a great time. The food is always amazing, and the service has been friendly. It's a more relaxed atmosphere so they don't run on a tight schedule like other restaurants, so expect to just go with the flow.
We've been probably 10 or more times in the last year and have never been disappointed. Tu (I think that's the correct spelling) is an absolute delight and will upsell the specials and cocktails with silly teasing (which we've found fun - not disrespectful) but whenever we've accepted, we've been happy we did (lobster pad thai means a whole lobster next to your noodles and you will have to work for it lol). We eat mostly gluten free and have been with seriously gluten free friends and have never had an issue finding something for everyone.
Their staples are always amazing for the less adventurous eaters (the short ribs, jap chae, ramen, pad kee mao, pad see lew, pad thai, holy basil fried rice).
Enjoy vibrant flavors and generous portions of unique dishes that leave everyone raving about their delicious experiences.

We've been getting food from this gluten free and vegan food cart for a number of years now. It's always SO GOOD and the lady who runs it is wonderful and so nice. The food is just awesome and for my wife and daughter who are gluten intolerant this place is a 10/10! Even if you are not GF and I am not, the food is so tasty.

This is one of my favorite go-to spots in Portland! I love the vibe, the service, the food, everything. I eat here at least once a month and have never been disappointed. It’s one of the places I point my out of town friends to go eat at. They have gluten free options!
My go-to order is the pork and rice with a thai iced tea. Today I tried the thai green tea with coconut milk — yummy but not as good as the classic thai tea. Takeout, dine in, it’s all good.

This is a cute Thai restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and fun, the staff seem to know everyone by name that come in and the ppl from the neighborhood just stop in to say hi as they are taking their evening walks 😁. The food is so good, and they serve a gluten-free menu, which I appreciate 😋 🙏🏻

The food was spectacular! Nearly everything on this menu is actually gluten free and I was unafraid to eat 90% of this menu! Gorgeous restaurant and actually used to be a speakeasy within the area.
Expand your pallet and give the Lebanese tour a chance, it’s a little bit of everything and really gives you the chance to taste it all. Really was the perfect meal for two to share and fills you up. Make sure to mention if you do have a gluten allergy as they can provide you with pita chips so you’re still included in having a dipping item for all the great sauces you will endure.
Definitely will be back.

This place is great. I think if I didn't have to be gluten free it would be amazing. Since I am, I'm saying it was good/great. (Wish they had Tamari!)
Beautiful restaurant interior. I don't love having to stand in line to order as sometimes the lines are really long but maybe it's different now that things are more open post pandemic.
The outdoor booths are cute but I haven't sat in them yet.

This place was awesome! My friends and I stopped by on a rainy day and everything was great. Service was attentive, wait times were quick, food was hot and delicious (try the pork belly baka bites, trust me)—everything you’re looking for in a cozy ramen shop. They even offer gluten free and vegetarian options that were equally delicious. The owner was super sweet and working the floor too! The Friendly Village is an unassuming strip mall on Sandy Blvd with one of the best little Thai restaurants in Portland. We ordered chicken potstickers, larb with chicken, barbecue pork fried rice, and Lao style papaya salad with sticky rice. The vegetables were fresh. The seasoning for every dish was perfect. Service was fast even with a steady stream of folks stopping in for takeout orders. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu.

This is our first time here and if we were local, we'd be regulars. First we ordered a "Thai tea with coconut milk" and when it came it looked like a Caesar (or an bloody Mary? For the US folks) but it's this incredible, sweet, brown sugary tasting sweet cold tea. SO GOOD. Then we got the sweet and sour chicken, or as the Instagram calls it "flightless bird chunks in gluten" and for someone who can't do black pepper, these were a top of the spice level, burns a little but the flavour is so good, I'll put up with the burn, kind of burn.
Hubs got something very spicy called "pork Krapow" (I think) and he does spice quite well and it made him "emotional" 😅. I had the white curry and brisket ends thanks to a suggestion from reddit. These were spicier than the bird chunks, but when I scooped the meat and cauliflower out of the bath and put them on the rice, I was able to enjoy the creamy, coconuty sauce so much more. The brisket was the best meat that I've had at a restaurant in my entire life and I'd suffer through the heat again for it. When I say I can't do spice, spice gives me a burn like taking a shot of tequila burns.. and I'd gladly eat this meal again.
Our server, Taylor, was the sweetest human. She walked me through the menu on spice levels and what was safe and also what I shouldn't even look at because looking at it would burn. She was an incredible server and a major asset to this restaurant. I'm sure the other servers were incredible, but Taylor was fabulous!
Thank you for having us, Eem. We will see you again one day for sure!

We've had Mikasa delivery a few times and finally got to go in person. It's a nice, small, restaurant with a few tables along 1 wall. The waitresses were friendly and helpful with our questions before ordering.
We got the gyoza, edamame, miso ramen, laksa ramen (made gluten free), cali & avocado rolls, and a poke bowl. Everyone was very happy with their order and gobbled it. The laksa was nicely spicy and the soft boiled egg in the ramen was so good.
We'll definitely be back!

The food at this restaurant is better than a popular competitor and also more reasonably priced. The broth is flavorful and comes with plenty of onions, green onions, and cilantro. The spring rolls are large and always fresh, with gluten-free dipping sauces available. They offer free and unlimited cool water and hot tea. My favorite lunch hack is ordering a side of broth and a spring roll for less than $10. The service is fast, the restaurant is clean and stylish, and the staff are very kind.

Their vegan pho and garden rolls are 10/10! I love how they prepared the tofu in the garden rolls - very unique and tasty. And the tofu in their vegan pho was literally perfect and not overcooked like it is at so many other places. They were also super accommodating of my gluten allergy, letting me know right away that the peanut sauce contains gluten and offering a delicious gluten-free sweet sauce instead. Reasonably priced for the flavors, portion sizes and friendly, attentive staff. Thank you!

For Asian fusion, I'd say it's not bad. I definitely had to soak my meat in the broth to give it that pork flavor in the broth. Noodles were a little hard in the ramen. It was nice they had gluten free options.

Food was awesome, but the reason I felt compelled to interrupt my dinner to write this review today was because the server we had today, Jordan, was one of the most informative and professional I’ve ever met. Super friendly and patient with all of my questions. Knows freaking everything about the origin and history of every ingredient on the menu. Took great care of my friends gluten free needs. Superhuman.

Oh my. The food here touches your soul. On a gloomy day due to both the weather and our declining goodness in the world - Rangoon’s food sweetens your mood, warms your body, and says “you got this girl”.

Enjoyed dinner while in the area from out of town. Typical Thai restaurant. Easy to miss when driving by as there are 2 trees blocking it from the road. Street parking available down the block. Food was great and portions were huge! Service was friendly and fast. We ordered drunken noodles along with the cashew chicken. They can make almost everything gluten free which is a huge plus. This is a pretty close rival to our favorite Thai place back home.
With perfectly crispy texture and tons of flavor, this spot is a must-visit for amazing dishes and tasty drinks.

The food was out of this world, I got the coconut based ramen with gluten-free noodles and it was delicious! Delicious! The service staff was attentive and congenial. My only criticism is that the restaurant was very cold and the woman behind the counter is said that their heat had gone out and they were relying on space heaters. Other than that five stars for food service and quality.

The service was excellent. I was practically the only person there. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was not warm. But it's a cold blustery day and the door was a little drafty. It'd be nice if there was some kind of heat source inside here to make it feel cozy. I know that's difficult with an open kitchen because it might be an overheating for the cooks. In terms of the ramen itself, I have to say that I did not have the authentic noodles and had their gluten-free version. Their gluten free version was made out of tofu, which I'm not crazy about on principal, but it actually had quite a good and interesting texture. Kind of reminiscent of sweet potato noodles without the transparency. Their broth was tasty but vinegary. It did not have a tremendous amount of depth. It wasn't rich in the way of fatty thickness or so on. I had the g-speciall ramen. I assume they didn't add sesame paste and that was one of the factors. But I didn't feel like it was a long steeping of a lot of different meat richness & minerality making up this broth. Perhaps I ordered the wrong broth?
Definitely on the upper end of price for ramen in Portland.
