Fun little vegan and gluten-free cafe. The staff working were friendly and kind.
It is a small place and the serves are to the smaller side, too. Maybe more of a snack and treat spot I’d say. We came for lunch and had a pizza and burger plus cake and smoothies and drinks and weren’t full after. The rainbow cake looks beautiful, but wasn’t too flavorful. Tiramisu was more enjoyable. Great alternative cafe if on the search for gluten-free and vegan or dairyfree sweat and savory treats!

Excellent place for people with celiac disease! Everything is gluten-free and delicious. We tried the pepperoni pizza, a baguette, a bacon braid, and a kind of vegan curry-filled bun. It's a small takeout place, although there are a couple of benches outside where you can eat. The guy is very friendly and speaks perfect English.
100% recommended, but we recommend getting there early because they're so fast.

Went there today for a quick lunch and got a hummus sandwich for takeaway. I will tell you it was so so good! There's fresh veggies inside and the bread is phenomenal. Amazing! Amazing! Lovely staff and a cosy little cafe. We arrived late in the day, 5.30 (close at 6pm) and they accommodated us for a quick dessert.

I happened to come across a gluten-free bakery so I went there with my husband. Everything looked delicious and it was hard to choose. The staff were friendly and very likable. When I received the bread, some were warm and I couldn't resist, so I tried them on a bench in a nearby square. They were plump and had the aroma of rice flour and were delicious. I'm going to buy some more now. I hope they still have some left.

I went to "Gluten-Free Rice Field Bakery Komekama" in Shinagawa for the first time. I was interested in the gluten-free rice flour bread specialty store, so I bought a cream cheese cake bread. The chewy texture unique to rice flour is irresistible, and the moist and rich cream cheese is matched exquisitely with the slightly sweet raisins, making it a luxurious taste like a dessert. It's so delicious that you wouldn't believe it's wheat-free, and it's healthy but also very satisfying. There are many other types, so next time I'd like to try other breads such as curry bread. This time I only bought one, so I'd like to try the other ones. The inside of the store was bright and clean, and the staff were polite. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who is interested in gluten-free, as well as bread lovers!

The small, intimate space invites visitors to explore moist, flavorful gluten-free breads that redefine expectations for those with dietary needs.

Saved our trip! My son is gluten free, and Japan (largely) is not. It was very hard to find food for him, and other gluten free shops either weren’t really gluten free, or just tasted bad, had very small menus, or were closed when they said they were open. But Biossa had exactly what we needed. Good, fresh, delicious gluten free bread, muffins, baguettes, and croissants! That way we could pack and carry the breads around Tokyo, so my son could eat almost anywhere (by swapping out the provided breads with these gluten free ones). Game-changing. Thanks Biossa!

This was a lifesaver to find as a celiac person. The entire bakery is gluten free (not just wheat free), which was a great opportunity to stock up. Other key allergies are clearly listed too. A wood-fired bakery. It's a little bit off Komachi Street from Kamakura Genjian, but it's tucked away, so if you follow the udon restaurant Inoue Shoten as a landmark, you'll see it. Is it okay to burn wood in a place like this? That's the first thing I thought, but I was told that they had taken proper measures to prevent this. When I asked him about it, he said that he was self-taught and built the kiln by himself. It was built using fire-resistant bricks, and the kiln was heated every day. Before I even eat the bread, I'm shocked at how serious they are. There is a lot of firewood piled up on the outside wall, but it must be difficult to carry it to this place. The bread seems to be made only from rice flour, but apparently they used to make bread using flour from Hokkaido, but the yeast didn't work out so they switched to rice flour and it's been 10 months since they started again. did. This is a shop that is full of the personality of the owner, who is very particular about everything.
I think it's simply because there's no gluten that it doesn't rise, but even though it looks small, it's heavy when you hold it! ! The staff at the store also explained that it weighs 1.5 onigiri, so I don't think it's completely similar to wheat flour bread, but rather it feels like it's a completely different thing, even though it's called bread.

I myself am gluten-free, so I was interested in this bakery.🌾The sign said pre-order, but when I asked about it, they said they had some, so I was able to buy freshly baked bread💕For us Japanese people, rice is good, but in this day and age, when we only eat wheat, I was scratching my head, but I was happy that the owner had the same idea. Made with safe, organic ingredients and carefully selected ingredients, the taste is delicious! ! ! Chewy, gentle sweetness. It's hard to buy delicious rice flour or rice bread, so this is a valuable shop.
I heard that shipping is also possible, so I would like to order it next time✨

When I was having lunch at a nearby restaurant called Otamaju, I saw a flyer and found out about it.
As it is a gluten-free sweet,
Don't worry about that! I asked.
These are the most delicious sweets ever.
All muffins except those containing chocolate,
chiffon cake,
and,
I bought gateau chocolat, which my 4th grader loves.
without feeling guilty,
I bought it as a morning gift.
I ate one to taste in the car on the way home, and...
Really delicious,
Texture, exquisite blend, sweetness,
Everything is very delicious,
I don't snack,
I ate it with all my heart's desire.
The few remaining muffins,
Morning of the next day,
I also received it in the morning the next day,
No change in taste,
I thought it might have helped because it wasn't nearby.
If you go nearby,
I will also buy everything except chocolate.

A really good gluten-free cafe serving rice flour baguette sandwiches. My chicken sandwich was delicious, and I really enjoyed the Satsuma potato pottage. The baguette was one of the best gluten-free baguettes I’ve ever had. It was crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. This is a shop where you can eat gentle and delicious bread that does not use milk or eggs and uses simple ingredients.
○About the store
Business days are limited to Tuesdays and Sundays. However, there are opportunities to purchase it at other stores, such as those sold on consignment at Kojikumiya and Ikebukuro on Fridays. Details can be found on Instagram.
In addition to selling bread, it also functions as a coffee shop, so you can eat and drink the bread you purchase with a set of side dishes.
Unusually, there is a vending machine. The only rice flour vending machine I've ever seen is the one in Okayama.
The staff at the store (Yukiko Sekine and others) were very responsive. Since the only payment methods were cash or PayPay, I went to withdraw the money, but they kindly kept the bread for me while I was there.
○About bread
Currently, there are three types of rice flour-based products: bread, horohoro cookies, and chiffon, and the others are wheat-based. Therefore, although rice flour bread is gluten-free, contamination is possible. All the breads have simple ingredients and seem to be of good quality.
Also, most breads are labeled with information on ingredients, etc., so you can choose and purchase with confidence.
○About what I bought
#rice flour bread
It's quite elastic and chewy. Moist inside. The bottom side is hard and filling. The sweetness is gentle but not too weak, and it's delicious enough to keep eating as is. Of course, the binding is good, and none of the parts fall apart (some powder does fall off).
#Rice flour cookies
It's crumbly but easy to eat. It's so flavorful that you can eat 4 of them right away.
Personally, I wish there were more varieties of rice flour bread and more stores and opportunities to buy it.
However, the rice flour bread is so delicious that it's worth going just to buy it, so I'll continue to go here.
