I am not exaggerating when I say the citrus poppy seed muffin I had today brought tears to my eyes. West Meadow Farm Bakery has, hands down, the best gluten free baked goods I have ever had. The absolute best part? Their loaves of bread are actually sandwich sized!!!!! I cannot wait to make French toast with the oatmeal bread, and a grilled cheese with the white bread. Many dairy free options as well! Gluten free baking is expensive. There’s no getting around it. There are so many ingredients and components involved. This place is 100% worth the cost. I’m already spending $8 a loaf at the grocery store. I would rather pay $10 for a better quality product and support a small business. And the bread isn’t pre-sliced so I can cut it to my liking!!! I can’t wait to go back!

Superior customer service; quaint space and the best breakfast food in Stowe. Several gluten free options-I had a crustless quiche that was the best I have had in a bakery and cafe. You will love this!

AMAZING food! I am gluten and dairy free and they were able to accommodate their breakfast sandwiches and lattes to my needs. The atmosphere is very homey and warm. The staff were so kind and very helpful/patient when I needed to customize my sandwiches. I definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

If you’re gluten free and looking to go to the cafe just save yourself the headache. The staff was condescending about the fact I asked for gluten free bread (when the company sells gluten free products), and the wrap they did give me was the most horrible thing I’ve ever tried to eat. Save yourself the money and the trip and skip this.

I never write reviews but this is definitely the best and my favorite diner i've ever been to. We stumbled upon this place while staying in Montpelier for a skiing/VT winter trip. I am gluten free by preference and I was happily surprised to see gluten free french toast on the menu. It's also made from local bread that they sell at the co-op. Absolutely delicious with the VT maple syrup they serve. The coffee also tastes really good and so is everything else we got every day we came (We loved it so much we came back every morning) The homefries are so yummy and the maple meats are insanely good. My boyfriend and I kept waking up excited to come here to eat for breakfast because it's so good and affordable. The staff are also so friendly and cute. Do yourself a favor and eat at wayside it's worth every penny. Places like this are hard to come by where we live so we are so grateful we found it. Will absolutely come back to Montpelier to eat here!

Gluten free eggs benedict was a pleasant surprise but somehow only got 1 poached egg instead of 2, and probably paid more for it (GF bread not marked on the menu). UPDATE: When alerted to the issue, they were very responsive and refunded me for the missing egg. Recommend checking them out!

Everything they make here is exceptional, and it’s all from scratch. The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic, the cider donuts are arguably the best I’ve ever had, the croissants, the raspberry oat bars, the gluten free pumpkin bread, the homemade pop tarts - everything is absolutely delicious. The coffee and espresso is also great. Don’t skip this place on your way through Wallingford - or better yet, take a drive just to taste the best bakery in southern Vermont.

Amber was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding in September! She was so responsive and helpful leading up to the wedding, and so collaborative and willing to answer all of our questions, and provided helpful suggestions to assist in our planning. We wanted to provide an allergy friendly dessert bar for our guests as we had several who are GF, vegan, nut free etc and Amber was incredible with helping us to design a menu that fit these needs. I am gluten free myself and so our wedding cake was GF - Cranberry Chai - it was SO delicious, I am still dreaming about it. She also decorated the cake beautifully with pressed edible flowers based on pinterest pictures I provided. Amber was also flexible in creating a dessert that she doesn't have on her menu - apple crisp - and it was insanely good. Our guests raved about her apple crisp, brownies, and cakes! So grateful for her openness and willingness to help us execute our vision for our boho VT wedding!

Easy to find GF food options. You can order a GF wrap from a selection of sandwiches that are all delicious! The bakery case often has GF options, and a couple of cookies that are amazing! They also get loaves of GF bread delivered twice a week from a dedicated GF bakery.

I called to order a cake for my daughter’s wedding shower. Mirabelle’s made MY wedding cake. I developed celiac, and my daughter has it as well: I asked if my original raspberry chocolate mousse cake could be made gluten free; they asked, were able to order me one very similar. I asked for a receipt itemizing what I ordered and when I would pick it up, since I was calling from out of state. After several hours, only a credit card charge. I called back and asked for an itemized receipt - asking for date of pickup and type of cake to be on the receipt. I then received a simple email receipt that said “open cake” and the charge. I called back, was placed on hold, and then disconnected. I called back AGAIN, and reiterated that I would like an itemized receipt with what I ordered, and the pick up date. I was calling 8 weeks out and wanted proof of my order pickup date and that it was the gluten free version. I was told they couldn’t do that on square and “I don’t understand what the problem is.” “We don’t make mistakes.” I asked for a refund because if they don’t see any problems with any of these interactions…..so much for nostalgia.

Open, airy, casual bakery/cafe. Offers a nice variety of croissants and yeasted rolls. Specialty coffees offered at the espresso bar. Has gluten free options. Offers breakfast and lunch prepared sandwiches, yogurt parfaits. Wide variety of pastries. Also offers catering service. Quality bottled wine available. Food and service were great. By far the best gluten free chocolate birthday cake I have had anywhere in this entire country! I have been gluten free for 15 years after finding out I had celiac disease and I have never had another gluten free dessert better than the birthday cake my family got me from here! The rest of the family who is not gluten free also said it’s the best chocolate cake they have ever had (gluten free or not)! Cannot wait to try more treats from this bakery!

Lovely bakery with amazing looking desserts. We did not have a chance to try the pizza. There were no celiac safe options for prepared food, however my party that is not allergic to gluten raved about the croissants. I had a maple latte that was super yummy. Everything appears to be made in house.
