I am going to share our "great experience" at Maggie McFly’s this past week-end. Our family comes here because Maggie’s is the only place in the area with a dedicated fryer for people who can’t eat gluten. For those who don’t know, a dedicated fryer prevents cross-contamination from other fried foods that have gluten in them because it’s an additional stand-alone fryer that only has foods cooked in it that don’t have gluten in them. If you want fried foods, and can’t have gluten, you need this. My daughter and I love both their wings and fries. We also come here because they have excellent food, a huge menu that contains a ton of other gluten-free options and not gluten-free options (this helps with my other kids and just in general), and a great selection of tap beer. Our server was Haley. She was extremely knowledgeable about gluten conditions. She has a family member who has Celiac (gluten medical condition) which is what my daughter has. She did an excellent job and was so friendly and understanding. My wife and I, and my kids, highly recommend Haley and Maggie’s!!!
An awesome spot with a chill vibe, extensive menu, and plenty of options for everyone—definitely a must-visit!

First time they made food which I clearly instructed I am allergic to. Then manager said he'd personally make sure next sandwich was correct. Burger came out with wrong toppings again. No gluten at least. But the burger was so raw that I feel nauseous from taking a few bites of it. Absolutely disgusting
Enjoy unique pizzas like Patate with creamy mashed potatoes and a flaky crust, though prices can be a bit steep.

Got to try the newly (only 8 months old) cocktail bar - Hartford Flavor Cocktail Parlor tonight!
Drink 1 - clarified key lime pie — a perfectly made clarified punch that’s clarified through gluten-free graham crackers. You can absolutely taste the tartness of the lime, as well as the depth of the crackers.
Drink 2 - lady in red - citrus forward with deep notes of cinnamon! Delicious - would get again!
Crème brûlée trio - strawberry lime, pandan, and orange — each of these were delicious and perfectly sweet, and the sugar crack was exactly what the doctor ordered!
Other notes - women owned and operated, with a gorgeous female bartender! The decor is very girly pop and romantic and whimsical - great for date night or also for a date with your mother!
The manager Sabrina was so kind and gave us a little mini tour, and you could see her passion for the space!
They also serve food and have multiple fun spaces that you can rent out for events. The whole kitchen is gluten free so there’s no cross contamination. They also have a board game closet in case you’d like to chill!

Enjoyed a nice Valentine’s Day dinner with my Valentine here. Nice atmosphere with a few pretty floral additions and also had a rose for each couple as a parting gift. Very busy with a bit of a line when we were heading out - was happy to have made a reservation on OpenTable.
Our server, Jess, was awesome. Super nice with a sense of humor to deftly counter my witty commentary. Since both Sauvignon Blancs in the glass were from New Zealand I wasn’t sure which to choose and Jess was kind enough to bring a taste of each. As we were catching up over a delicious IIPA and a glass of wine from the rather large list (but limited availability for glasses vs bottles), we noticed the music was quite loud - not sure if valentines related or typical.
We started with the Farm to Table board which was yummy but should have been called Brussels Sprouts with lots (and lots) of fig jam and a hint of prosciutto. Only a couple thin slices under a mound of fried sprouts. Sprouts were voluminous and tasty but little overdone IMHO. Also needed more salt, pistachios, and burrata.
For our mains, we had the Skillet Roasted Salmon and the Nachos. Salmon was very tasty. We ordered medium rare and it was definitely more cooked through. Nice sweetness in the sauce that complimented the unctuousness of the salmon. Could have used a touch more acid and more of the crunch from the pistachios. Toothsome risotto that was very squashy (in a good way)!
Nachos were huge with a nice layer of melted cheese and a delicious cheese sauce in addition to the chicken. Definitely a good amount of spice - not sure if in the sauce or only from the peppers. Only criticism was the Arugula. I loves me some peppery lettuce, but just felt like an odd addition on Nachos. Actually, another complaint - Top layer was awesome but you’re left with a pile of baked naked chips underneath.
Overall - great atmosphere and good food. Tons of Gluten Free options with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thumbs up!
A cozy spot with a cute vibe, serving up amazing comfort food that has people raving about their delicious flavors and fresh ingredients.

I met a friend here for lunch and hadn't been in so long. I forgot how amazing their food is. I got the fried chicken meal and it was to die for. Being gluten sensitive, they are able to accommodate that easily, and have separate fryers. Their food is like southern comfort food. Highly recommend. Food is better than most of the restaurants in West Hartford Center.

We ordered Hawaiian pizza and did not expect it to have pesto, which i usually love, but Sorella's pesto ruined it for the other pesto I've ever had.. like this is how pesto is SUPPOSE to taste like! Their tiramisu also!!! It melted in my mouth.. every single bite was AMAZING!!! And best of all, was my son's pizza. Vegan gluten-free White pizza. He didn't even want a plate! He insisted on eating out of the box! I had a taste of his crust because I thought it looked a bit burnt. Omg! It was delicious.. I'm so happy to find this restaurant and can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Very AUTHENTIC!!!
Expect an attentive vibe and delicious dishes, making this lively eatery a must-visit for a great dining experience.

I have a severe gluten allergy. Two separate servers went through the menu and told me what I could eat, how things were prepped in the back and what I could substitute. They were very knowledgeable.
I enjoyed foods I rarely eat as someone with a severe gluten allergy - they subbed baked corn chips on the nachos, corn tortillas for the enchiladas and gave me baked chips with my salsa.
They told me everything for an allergy and celiac gets given a big card so everyone is very careful in the back. I felt comfortable ordering and eating here. Great job Sol Toro!

My first time eating here. Overall a great experience. Burger was awesome! They have a separate gluten free menu, so you don't have to wonder what you can have. The kitchen is not GF, so even though they say they take precautions, there's likely cross contamination. The GF bun for my burger was actually really good. They have a pretty good selection of drinks, I had an espresso martini, it was a little pricy, but it was a nice date night out with the hubby.

Nice spot close to the airport. I was in town and looked up local restaurants in the area. Roberto’s was one. Drink selection is great and Gluten Free options. I had the chicken pacatta which the chicken was tough to cut, however the mash potatoes were delicious with the cappers. Food was ok. The chili was a must have. I should’ve gotten a bowl instead of the cup.

First time visit over the weekend. A very enjoyable evening for 4(2 couples). Very spacious with plenty of seating. Choice of tables, booths, high tables and very large bar. It you're lucky enough to get the server Krystle(K no A) you will definitely enjoy your evening. She explained ordering process and suggested gluten free items on the menu. The food also didn't disappoint. I highly recommend this establishment.

My family recently held my 50TH birthday here. We had 16 people. When I tell you the service was impeccable! It was, and the food was beyond amazing. My plate was still warm when I had to pick it up to package my leftovers. I had 3 meals out of it. Would like to see more gluten-free/dairy free options in the future.
I've been a customer of Susan's since she opened. The carefully crafted inventions (literally works of art) she creates out of food and drink are out of this world. Check out her Instagram account for some pics of her amazing creations! I also have tons of allergies and Susan has offered options for what is safe vs. not safe for me, including all gluten free options!
Enjoy large portions and great atmosphere, but be prepared for varying service—it's a popular spot that can get lively on weekends!

Unfortunately after getting sick twice, we went back with my Nima sensor and we have tested several of their items labeled gluten free with our Nima Sensor and all the foods we ordered have come back positive for gluten. We were assured by the waiter that the products themselves were gluten free so there must be cross contamination happening somewhere in the kitchen. They were very understanding of us sending the food back but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for someone with gluten sensitivity or celiac disease.
Enjoy a warm, welcoming vibe with attentive service that ensures a smooth and memorable dining experience, even on busy nights.

We had a marvelous experience at Market Place this evening. Fiona, our server, was unflappable and gracious. She and the kitchen dealt with a table of 6 on a busy Saturday evening. Most importantly, though, was how Fiona made sure that all the food was safe for our daughter -- who has multiple food sensitivities. Not only was there a separate, gluten-free deep fryer, but Fiona was uniformly patient and cheerful in double-checking ingredients and making sure our necessary food modifications were handled.
Thank you for making a scary, first-time in a restaurant with food-sensitivities experience safe and fun!!

We stopped after a show at the Bushnell. Red Rock Tavern was one of the few places nearby that was open late on a Sunday. We walked into the crowded bar area but we were quickly directed to the table seating beyond.
Taverns/bars tend to be a bit too loud for me but the food made it worth it! I am gluten free so it can be difficult to find safe options. I asked questions and the server was able to help me find a safe meal. They all took good care of us.
Great Italian food. I honestly just go there when I am craving pasta good pasta. They have plenty of pasta dishes to choose from, including gluten free pasta if you need that. Parking can sometimes be an issue, as there is street parking, or a Rite Aid parking lot next to the restaurant that you're technically not supposed to park in. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get towed, but I also don't usually go when it's busy. Just something to consider.
Went for a birthday. My adult daughter loved the endless sushi boat. The gluten free options were minimal for me. I asked about the veggies included with the fried rice and was told there were asian vegetables in it. I ordered it with chicken and basically it's just a pile of rice with peas and a couple small pcs of grilled chicken. My husband got the general tso chicken (not GF) and he said it was just okay and not very filling. I told them we had a birthday but was not told of anything special they did for that. When I went to the restroom I saw a giant dragon and asked what it was for and they said birthdays. I asked for it, paid $25 for the dragon, a sign, and the dessert, but they said they don't sing. Okay it's a good photo op, but they come over with the sign, say her name, no dragon, so I had to asked the waitress, where is the dragon. So she went and got it a few minutes later. It was underwhelming at that point. The waitress was nice and attentive, it was busy on a Thursday night. It was just okay, I wouldn't go back because I don't eat sushi and that seemed like the only thing that anyone raved about in our group of 4.

We stopped in during a weekend trip to Mystic, it was the best food and drinks we had while in town, as well as fantastic service. Cienna, our server was so awesome, hospitable, knowledgeable of nearby fun and of her menu, and skilled in her craft. The margaritas were the best in Mystic (and trust me, I tried most of them!) and the food was delicious. I am gluten free and they made sure to be careful with my food and I left without even a stomachache.

This was a great stop on the way home for lunch. Our child has Celiac and this restaurant has some good gluten free options. Walking in and smelling the wood burning in the stove set a good tone. The tour/tasting lasts about 20 minutes, was informative and interesting, and included 10 small tasting samples that gave me a little buzz! Tour also includes 1 cocktail which can be enjoyed in the cozy bar area, a cute outdoor patio, or refurbished warehouse area that reminded me of a southern plantation mansion. The vodka and liquors are gluten free and dairy free. They sell snacks (soft pretzels, chips and salsa, bread and butter, gelato) but you can also bring your own food. Plenty of free off street parking. Highly recommend!
