Holy smokes, Batman! As someone who often struggles to find great food options (especially gluten-free), Irregardless blew me away. Our waitress—whose name I regretfully forgot, and it’s not on my receipt—was phenomenal. I told her I was torn between a few choices, and she confidently recommended the Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich (GF). Honestly? One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in over 12 years. Crispy, flavorful, and totally worth the hype. 🌱 They accommodate a ton of dietary restrictions. 🍽️ Portion sizes? Generous. 🌿 Food? Incredibly fresh and delicious. 🏡 Location? Adorable. 🚗 Parking? A bit tricky, but it’s the only “meh” part. 🪑 Inside? Cozy, charming, and quiet enough to actually enjoy a conversation. If you are GF, this is the place; everything is gluten-free. We happened upon the summer menu filled with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the cheddar biscuits, the beet appetizer, the braised short ribs, finished with the chocolate torte. Unique selection of cocktails, and the wine menu is extensive. My glass of Malbec was very good. Service was attentive, personable, yet not always in your space. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to try Burtons with their huge gluten free menu, but I was really disappointed. I ordered an appetizer of the bread and it was so tough and dry. Still, I was excited for my entree. I ordered a warm lobster roll with fries. The fries were AMAZING. I actually have a hard time finding good GF fries but theirs were fantastic—which is why I gave 2 stars. The lobster was okay but the bun was pretty gross. The whole thing was just dry and not flavorful at all. The service was not good either :( I got 1 refill after eating most of my meal without a drink (except the table water), and we sat there for 30 minutes waiting to pay. Hopefully today was just an off day for them but based on my experience today, I don’t recommend it.

Wonderful food with a variety of health-conscious options including gluten free and dairy free, including their desserts. We loved it so much we went back twice in the same day haha. Parking is the only challenge, but the food and very friendly service makes it worth it. Highly recommend!

This Mellow has a 70s disco theme. It was dark but so many bright colors. The food was delicous as always, and their gluten-free crust is always a hit for my daughter. Service was good, slow at times, but that is because it was between busy hours and servers get distracted as new employees come in. Young being young.

I have been lots of time and the Armored Cow is a great place to grab a cold beer. They have a wide variety of different beers including sours and gluten free beers. And there is always some new flavor to try. Friendly staff and plenty of seating. There is a good food truck there as well.

Though a little worn (and obviously well patronized), and the outside comes in.... this is a really well designed menu, fabulous staff, and the cheesecake is above the expected. I love how much is gluten free, and no questions asked about the allergy, and that the menu reflects a variety of tastebuds of well researched foodies. These are definitely not the digs of your average pub in a small town. They know their food. I recently brought a group of ladies there, and there was something for everyone. *The Greek Burger needs more sauce, but that's just me. I love Tzatziki sauce. And the Sweet Potato fries are also good with Tzatziki sauce. Thanks to the staff for quick service and accurate drinks (Unsweet tea is a huge deal for those of us with that taste bud). lots of love to Dooley's!

I never review restaurants but I cannot say enough good things about this place. My girlfriend and I are gluten free and it is often difficult to find a full spectrum menu of things we can eat—however, even if you aren’t gluten free—this place is incredible. From the atmosphere, to the view, to the service; even down to how the dishes are plated…everything is immaculate. The Duck Confit…I would highly recommend. Their deconstructed tiramisu for desert—amazing. Even their coffee there we got with desert…best restaurant coffee I’ve had, period. You have to check this place out. Well worth your time and money.

Really nice outdoor seating space, and the crab cake sandwich I had was fantastic. What I appreciated most is when I had questions about ingredients in some of the dishes, the cook came out and talked to me and made sure I ordered something completely gluten free. We'll be back there again next year!

Honestly, if you don't need gluten free then the food tastes good. But gluten sensitive and celiac please stay away. I got gluten and so so sick. The dish I had ordered was naturally "gluten free" and dairy free. Marked on the menu. The waitress seemed to acknowledge and act like they would be careful. Unfortunately, cross contamination happens here.

Friendly servers and a really cute outdoor screened patio to enjoy breakfast on a nice warm day! They have tofu scramble which was nice for me because I’m vegan and gluten free. Their menu has limited options but they’re all very tasty. My husband loved his blueberry pancakes with peach sauce. We would definitely come here again. The atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing and the food is so tasty and healthy! One of the best breakfasts in OBX!

Allergen Friendly! We had a knowledgeable and friendly server who was able to assured us their staff could handle our family's dietary restrictions. They do not have a dedicated gluten free fryer but there were several gluten free options on the lunch menu. The dinner menu had more options though and we look forward to trying that out. Call ahead if you have multiple allergens but they are worth trying out if you have multiple allergens.

I had the best salad and they accommodated all of my requests for Cooking the chicken and olive oil only. And it was my birthday and the pastry chef made sure she made me a special gluten-free homemade chocolate chip cookies which were incredible and fresh out of the oven. The manager Heather was fantastic as was our server Kristie and were able to get me the recipe for my cookies. Love this place highly recommend.

Five people's thoughts are included in this evaluation! We made the right decision when we dropped by to lunch on the way from Washington, DC, to Atlanta! Oh my goodness, the burgers that we all ordered looked fantastic. Because I have a gluten sensitivity, I went with the gluten-free bun, and it was the softest gluten-free burger bun I've ever had. Despite the crowds (which we can understand because it's so delicious), the service was prompt, and the staff was really kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed this place!

Not only is the food incredible, but the staff, chefs, and owners are in a class of their own. My husband recently discovered he has Celiac, and we rarely eat out as a result. I am from Asheville, and we even have trouble finding places consistently Celiac-friendly there. We risked going to Square Root recently at my suggestion because I’d been a decade ago and remember it being fantastic and considerate regarding dietary issues. We were not disappointed, and we keep going back. John is a wonderful waiter and we have been lucky enough to have his help every time we’ve gone. I cook a lot, and it takes a good deal to impress me. Everything on Square Root’s menu is beautiful. Highly recommend!!!

This was the halfway point to meet up with our son to celebrate some family birthdays. We waited at the bar and had some drinks and an appetizer. (super excited that they had chambord and could make my favorite drink!) We put our name on the wait list and moved to a table closer to the time of his arrival. The staff was very accommodating in helping us make sure we had a table when he arrived. The place is super laid back with a lot of locals in to watch the game on a Saturday night. The food was all yummy and there were gluten free options for 2 family members. Everything is very reasonably priced. If you are in a hurry, don't go here, it is not a fast food restaurant. If you are looking to sit back and relax, this is the spot. We will be back!

Amazing pizza place!! This is a kid-friendly spot, but it’s still giving “upscale” eating. The food was delicious, their cauliflower crust tasted so good and they offer gluten free options as well. They were so flexible with my kids and got their meals out super fast & kid temp! Would def recc this place to anyone who needs a quick place to eat!

My husband and I have decided this is our favorite lunch spot! We have NEVER had a bad meal. Food is always top notch, folks are always friendly, inside and outside dining, gluten-free options, and great kids options... and they even have a drive-thru. Absolutely loved this place. My girlfriend is gluten free and had been craving the taste of beer since she found out she couldn’t have gluten anymore. The owner’s wife has celiac I believe, or can’t have gluten for some reason, so they have multiple beers with either no gluten or gluten reduced!! The atmosphere was awesome and we had a delicious gluten free pizza as well. We will definitely be back if we are ever out that way again!!

Had a very nice dinner with our friends. We had a party of 10 people. Our server Jordan was very attentive and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make suggestions. My wife has a gluten allergy and the restaurant offers many different dishes that are gluten free. We will definitely be going back.

We had a great experience. Our waitress Kellye took the time to ensure all food allergies were accounted for, and personally put forth the effort to ensure what we were getting didn’t contain anything each individual was allergic to. She had to account for gluten sensitivity, nut and shellfish allergies. Then the manager took the time to aide in entertaining my toddler twin nieces by bringing things out to keep them busy. The food was amazing, and the staff was exceptional.

One of my favorite places in the country on a warm and sunny evening. The perfect spot to let your kids run around in a field and have some chill parent time while sipping on some good beers and canned rosé.
