As someone who has to eat dairy and gluten free, it is hard to find a great meal in a restaurant that isn't some sort of compromise of an existing menue item. Not here! Most of the meals are gluten and dairy free without any compromise in flavor! In fact, everything we ate was delicious and well priced. Service was also amazing. It is a place I will come back to frequently in my stay here. Thank you Nourish!

We loved this place. Best burger I’ve had in a very long time (bison burger), plus the waiter was first class. They catered really well for my coeliac wife and the beers they had from the 3 Bears local brewery were excellent too.

Finally a restaurant with a separate gluten free menu. I had the best gluten free pancakes, light and fluffy...you could not tell the difference. My husband had the poutine with pulled pork and it was super flavourful. Really good service and cool atmosphere...I highly recommend!

Bakery items are the shining star here. Gluten free carrot cake was great!! Sandwiches seem to be a big hit. The coffee left a little wanting but that happens. Americano was sans crema. Almond milk latte had a strong off-putting almond flavour. No fault to the barista or the drink.. it's hard to pay an extra $1.50 for almond breeze which is the actual culprit here. Go for Pacific brand. It's the little things. But they do take their coffee seriously! Enter, Marzocco espresso machine. Just sit back and admire. They use high end 1883 syrups from France, the purest and best. Kudos. Highs and lows. Busy place, gets a lot of love. The food will not disappoint. Next time, chocolate croissant 😍

Incredibly tasty food. We loved the rotisserie chicken pizza with gluten free crust. The Brussels sprouts were also great. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Simply a great meal made even better by a stellar serving experience from Olly. She was running the entire front when we got there and did an amazing job of getting our orders and food in a timely manner while still taking care of all the tables!
My Rundle Mountain Breakfast was amazing value, and my celiac partner had the Gluten Free French Toast and says it was incredible too.
Highly recommend coming here for brunch if you're in Banff!

We had a delicious meal last night. Our server Cate, was very helpful as I am gluten intolerant and she made sure everything I ate was safe. I could eat most things on the menu so if you’re gluten free, I highly recommend this restaurant!!! It was soo nice to be able to enjoy most of the foods and to also enjoy the ginger beef, that they light on fire with brandy at your table! I never get to eat cool things like that so thank you so much Brazen, for all the gluten free options!!
Convenient spot with tasty options and a cozy vibe, but watch out for mix-ups with drink orders and careful about your selections.

After roaming the area in search of a gluten-free late dinner, we googled and found this restaurant suggestion. We started with a ceasar salad (9.5/10, the capers were a perfect, salty touch) and a pomodoro fromagio gluten-free pizza. The mozzarella is gooey and thick, the tomato sauce really balanced tangy and sweet with basil, the crust offered a chewy dough and crispy edge. 9/10
This spot offers an incredible range of unique flavors in a calm atmosphere, making it a standout dining experience you won't want to miss.

As always, great food, great steaks great service. Will adapt the menu and servings to your needs and there are glutenfree options availble - although gluten free bun with the burger would be nice!
The Keg did an amazing job! My daughter has celiac, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Free GF bread, manager helped us specifically, they double checked with us and the kitchen for every item, and our food was delicious! I will definitely eat there again. We have high expectations of restaurants, and they definitely met those expectations! 6 stars, if that were even possible.

If you want the best poutine, go here! The fries are crisp, the cheese is actually melted and salty and any toppings are just as good. One of us got the gluten free gravy, and it was the best gluten free gravy they've ever had. It was super flavourful and the texture was smooth. The customer service was also amazing, the person working was super kind.

We stayed at the Banff Springs Fairmont for 5 days and had breakfast in the vermillion room 4 times (breakfast came with our package!) and dinner once. I am symptomatic celiac so much of my review centers on those aspects.
All of the staff members we encountered were knowledgeable and helpful. As of April 25, 2024 they had a dedicated GF frier. They did not mark my GF meal separate from my husband’s non-GF but every time my food was delivered it was specified that it was the GF celiac safe dish.
Breakfast - for the first 3 days I ordered off the a la carte menu (had the vermillion breakfast twice and the french omelette once). I had been eyeing the buffet because there were so many options but wasn’t sure it was safe for me (as a sensitive, symptomatic celiac). On the last day I mentioned that to the server and she let me know I was welcome to get the buffet, and they would prepare everything in the back and bring it out. So I went up to the buffet, picked out what I wanted and gave that list to my server. Not on the menu, but they can do GF toast, pancakes, made to order omlettes, etc.
Dinner - we ate dinner here on a busy evening. There was a bit of an issue with timing but overall it was a great experience. The crème brûlée is to die for, and many dishes are GF or can be made GF with modifications.

Great spot! We stopped for lunch and ate at the bar. They had a few gluten free options. I had a burger with broccoli cheddar soup and mashed potatoes. It was delicious! They had a great gluten free bun and several gluten free drink options. I enjoyed the Strongbow dark fruit cider. My husband had to the chicken sandwich (not gf) and really enjoyed it.

The first time I came here I had a great experience. Food was awesome and the service was somehow even better. Second time around not so great.
My server was quite rude and difficult to deal with. I went to order a drink I had the time prior and he was quick to shut me down and tell me that that wasn’t possible and they couldn’t do that. The server was quite pushy and made it clear he wanted me out of there as he missed apart of my order and didn’t try to fix it. I’m celiac and the time prior I wasn’t able to have the cubed hashbrowns due to cross contamination and today there was no issue with it or I should say the server didn’t care. Regardless the potatoes used weren’t washed prior to deep frying as I had two bites and each one I had gotten grit/sand in my teeth when chewing.
I had previously thought this place was a top tier Banff restaurant but now I don’t know what to think.

Absolutely stunning experience! My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon-birthday-anniversary here, so we wanted to go all out. We got the package that includes a ticket on the gondola and a dinner option included. Ashley was incredibly helpful in pointing out her personal favourite dishes so we got the best experience. Many options for gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian. Our recommendation is the bison main. We hope to come back someday!

Overall, it's a great place to eat in Banff. Friendly staff, great food, gluten-free options and affordable prices. The only thing that disappointed us was the salmon. We paid $30 and got a kid-size meal with one tiny piece of salmon tail!

I had an amazing experience at Zyka Elevated Indian Restaurant! The staff was incredibly accommodating to my dietary needs, offering a variety of delicious options that were both gluten-free and dairy-free. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded all my expectations. The service was also outstanding—attentive, friendly, and quick to ensure that everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a restaurant that’s so attentive to dietary restrictions without compromising on taste or service. I highly recommend Zyka to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in Banff, especially if you have specific dietary needs!

We made an impromptu stop for a late lunch. Thought they would have the lunch menu, but it was a buffet.
I asked if it were possible to order off the menu as I have dietary restrictions. Informed them of celiac. The hostess was very helpful and inquired from the chef if it was possible to eat safely.
They made a separate gf meal for me, which was absolutely delicious! Our waitress was super nice and even brought a gf chocolate cake for me. Holy moly, I never get to eat cake in a restaurant, always only crème brûlée. What a TREAT!!!
Thank you for a safe and wonderful dining experience!
Came in on Wednesday at 6:00 for the mid-week special. Restaurant pretty empty which meant we got great service. Got a basket of gluten free bread for no additional charge. Dinner was elk short rib. Very good. Mouse dessert was very good. Salad was good.

Huge selection of pho, vermicelli and assortment of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. Pho was hearty despite lacking the flavours of an authentic pho broth. The portion was definitely big enough for us to share (2 pho bowls for 3 females). Sesame chicken was also nice and sweet! The servers were very accommodating and knowledgable given that one of us is gluten free. Some seats have great view of the mountains too!

We had an absolutely fabulous dining experience. The staff were extremely attentive and engaging without being overbearing. The food was excellent. My partner has a gluten issue and they made her the rosemary parm fries fresh without any contamination. The oysters were divine and the vinegar based sauce was excellent.
I personally found the maple old fashioned too sweet and the staff were kind enough to try and make it more palatable but unfortunately it didn't suit my tastes but they were extremely accommodating and allowed me to get a classic old fashioned and didn't charge me for the maple.
For mains we had the chicken and the lamb. The lamb was melt in your mouth good. Perfectly tender but still with substance and not too soft. The chicken was deliciously moist and the potatoes that accompanied it were phenomenal.
You really can't beat the view of Mt Rundle so really nothing was missing.
A lively and beautifully designed spot with big portions, but watch out for mix-ups and a bit of a disorganized service.

Had the most amazing dinner tonight at The Fat Ox Banff. What a treasure to experience.
Mathieu our server made our night one to remember. His food and wine recommendations were perfect and ensure us an incredible gastronomy experience!!
- 30 month Prosciutto, mustard melon, aged balsamic, arugula
- Venison Carpaccio, evoo, parmigiana, capers, arugula, sea salt
- Shrimp “Scampi”, Calabrian chili garlic butter, focaccia
- Bison Tagliatelle, gluten free, classic meat bolognese
- Rigatoni Carbonara, pancetta, egg yolk, parmigiana
- Freeman’s Abbey Merlot
Best part for me is that they put in the same care and attention to my gluten free substitute that they did to the other dishes we had. I cannot always say that.
Thank you Mathieu and Fat Ox Banff. Totally recommend a visit - mouth watering meal.

My partner and I stayed at the resort during the summer for our honeymoon. The lounge has a great atmosphere, great dinner/breakfast food, and a decent selection of gluten free options. It also feels reasonably priced, especially for being halfway up a mountain!

I come here when I get my car serviced around the corner and will definitely be going out of my way to return more often. There are new owners who have tons of chef experience working in multiple countries and in the fairmont chateau. The food was completely delicious, I had eggs benny with avocado and it was probably the tastiest breakfast I’ve had this year. The egg was poached perfectly, the hollandaise was amazing and the potatoes were crispy. The owners were lovely and friendly, they treated me very nicely. I can tell how excited they are to have this place. Everything is made form scratch, including many gluten free options. Due to the location it wasn't busy. Definitely give them a visit they deserve the business, you will receive amazing food and customer service.
Great breakfast buffet and some of the best restaurant views in Banff. The buffet had lots of selection and even gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. We wished there was toast, but there were other pastries and French toast. Unfortunately, the service was not great. The servers paid little attention and it took a long time to get coffee.
Staff were confused when I asked if I could have the contents of a breakfast wrap on a gluten free bagel. I was told they could and then received a bagel and then a wrap.. Looked at me confused and irritated.. It's always fun when you feel like your a hassle even though you are a paying customer...
Enjoy a cozy spot with delicious dishes and quick service, perfect for families wanting a tasty and satisfying meal experience.

To begin with, I will state my thesis that I cannot recommend this place. To prove my point I would like to underline, that we waited for more than an hour for our food. Moreover, they forgot to make one pizza with gluten free dough. Putting everything into consideration, it was not a great experience
The chef went out of his way to create a 9-course menu despite my crazy food restrictions (vegan, gluten free, sugar free, and nothing deep-fried). We were very impressed that they not only managed to come up with nine courses that met these restrictions, but also that they were all delicious!
Delicious authentic Chinese cuisines. Banff version of famous Calgary location. Comfortable restaurant decor with big windows, views of green trees and character houses. Staff are friendly and accommodating and can cater to vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free diets.
Great experience! Loved the views and the food! Our fave was the dessert... gluten free black forest Rockey road that Gracie our server reccomended! Gracie was awesome and guided us well.
