What a treat!! They fried the donut to order then glazed it hot… what?! So amazing! I haven’t had a donut (not a crappy cake donut anyways) in over 10 years since my celiac diagnosis. Amazing. Order ahead and pick up because street parking sucks but SO worth it, and the calories.

They take allergies and celiac very seriously here. Although the menu is not marked, you can ask them what is gluten-free. I'm majority of the entrées are. And they have a dedicated fryer and some of the best fries we have ever had. It is one of our go to places and we feel very safe coming here. They've got great protocols in place.
With unique in-house recipes and a cozy vibe, this charming spot offers delicious crepes that keep guests coming back for more!

First time ever here and what a gem! It's fine dining in the most comfortable atmosphere. Every ingredient and combination is carefully thought out. It's a dream for people who eat gluten free. They even packed a gluten free crepe along with a homemade roast, carrots and onions for my niece to take home to Johnstown for her husband. I cant recommend it enough! ps. wonderful, kind & friendly staff.
Colorful vibes and incredible flavors make this spot a must-try, with generous portions and a lively atmosphere that's hard to resist!

My daughter and I loved everything about this restaurant. The service was terrific. The tables had beautiful, colorful coverings. The food was amazing and almost everything is gluten free! I had an arepa with chicken salad, it comes topped with creamy shredded gouda. She had the chicken empanadas, which were crispy and delicious. I can't wait to return and try more dishes.
Perfect for groups, this spot offers a cozy atmosphere, accommodating service, and a diverse menu featuring plenty of plant-based options.

Not celiac safe at all. Came here because a friend told me the guy who works at the front has celiac and is very conscientious. Not my experience at all. Staff was curt and short. Sicker than I’ve been in a very long time. Really a shame because the food was delicious

This small, quaint café in Oakdale left a lasting impression on me and my boyfriend today before we decide to move away from Pittsburgh. I had visited it once before and was drawn in by the inviting pictures, but upon arriving, I realized how quite small and intimate the space truly was. There was only one worker—who, impressively, seemed to have handled everything himself. I find it very outstanding of a chef. The display cases showcased an array of handmade desserts, pasta, and pastries, with a menu thoughtfully catering to gluten-free and vegan diets. Though I’m not vegan, I have an interest in trying options that I personally feel will be better for myself.I appreciate places that provide inclusive options, and I especially have a heart for local businesses who emphasize fresh and handmade.
Inclusivity & Craftsmanship: 10/10
Before visiting, I read reviews about the chef’s demeanor, with some describing him as indifferent and off-putting. However, understanding that the café has a European influence, I took this with an open mind as well as with an understanding that the Chef himself may not be from here. Social norms can be completely different from people abroad compared to the norms here. American customers here may not take lightly how he may represent himself or appear to others. Although, from my perspective and in taking in consideration everything I've read, he just appeared quiet and reserved—perhaps a bit awkward—but certainly not rude at all. In fact, my boyfriend and I can agree that his food spoke for him and represented a lot of his personality in itself. The atmosphere, while peaceful, could feel a little tense without background music (although that may be just being that me and my boyfriend were the only customers at the time) Its kind of funny to say but personally even the seating had an oddly awkward charm just as much as the chef did himself.
Atmosphere: 7/10
For my first visit, I ordered a freshly made zucchini pasta and a tiramisu-flavored latte. The chef was able to quickly brew the coffee up and even brought to me to my seat. Tasting the coffee, I could feel just how refreshing it was. Unlike other coffee spots, the coffee wasn't too sweet nor was it too harsh, it was the perfect balance for me. Crafted with almond milk which catered to its plant-based menu. Not a lot of coffees I’ve had that made me feel it as refreshing. As I was sitting, waiting for my pasta I could see and watch from a distance that the Chef was right there hand making the pasta from scratch! I can see that he really puts in the effort to his word of it being fresh. The dish was zesty, flavorful, and bursting with fresh vegetables. The pasta was phenomenal. I can tell that this cafe was dedicated to getting good ingredients, possibly local/organic. You can tell just by how it taste!
On our most recent visit today, my boyfriend and I tried the tarte pastries. They were a little dry at first which seems to be the only thing I seemed to have disliked, but despite that, the flavors of the tarte itself were layered and rich. I had a chocolate pistachio tarte, and he chose a walnut one—both were satisfying. The coffee was just as refreshing as before, and I was surprised to see the pumpkin spice flavor was still available! We ended the visit with an assortment of macaroons, which were phenomenal, each offering distinct flavors and textures, from light and fluffy to crisp and tart.
Food: 9/10
Despite how quiet and awkward the atmosphere may be, as my boyfriend says, the personality of the place came with the food that was served and thats what tied it altogether. The awards on the wall hint at a deeper story of how it became, and this little local gem is one I won’t forget after leaving Pittsburgh. We’ll definitely return for brunch and review that as well before we go, and I highly recommend others to give it a try. Enjoy a handcrafted coffee and pastry in this quiet, unique, unassuming spot—don’t let the awkwardness deter you, because the food speaks for itself.
Known for its unique offerings and dedicated staff, this spot is a must-visit for a worry-free dining experience that keeps diners coming back.

Such incredibly good gluten-free food! My daughter, who is the one with celiac, was so excited to get the onion rings and gluten-free Oreo shake! My husband and I do not have to eat gluten-free and still got the gluten-free fried chicken and it was seriously some of the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life! Very, very tender. We drove 20 minutes out of our way to get here and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Wish we lived closer.
A must-visit for anyone craving unique baked treats; the variety is impressive and the flavors are spot on, even if you're not gluten-free!

When friends and I found this area for a bachelorette celebration (middle ground between VA, MA, and NY where we all live), we were so thrilled to find there was a gluten free bakery (one of us is Celiac). However, the bakery would be closed on the days of our visit. I reached out via Erica’s website form with our slightly (very?) unconventional cake idea and she responded immediately with resounding positivity AND offered to open on a day off for us to pick it up.
Erica, thank you so, SO much for making our time in PA so special with this hilarious cake. Everyone loved it. You nailed the vision and brought it to life even better than we could have imagined. Not to mention this was an absurdly delicious cake. The red velvet was phenomenal. We feel so lucky and appreciative that you accommodated us—this community is beyond fortunate to have you in it. We all can’t wait to visit again and will certainly plan around your normal business hours to be able to experience some more delicious treats! Thank you x a bajillion, we won’t forget this.

We like to support small establishments, particularly those that serve vegetarian and/or vegan entrees (a REALLY good one is Hosers in the Fareway at Chestnut Hill). We had been to the Green Fork a few years ago and liked the menu. After tonight's over-priced and tiny portion, as well as snarky waitress, we will not be back. I was charged $17 for a mushroom wrap (it was $2 more for a Gluten free wrap which was the tiniest wrap I've ever seen) with a smattering of greens on the side; the wrap was supposed to have caramelized onions and cheese. Definitely no cheese and if the onions were there and caramelized, I could not detect them. This tells me the management is buying cheap ingredients while gouging its customers. We also had to wait for our food as the waitress was MIA; I overheard the chef asking her where she was and her explaining that she drank a lot of water (TMI!).
I told the waitress I wasn't happy with my meal and wanted to tell them rather than just write a bad review. She said, "I'll be right back," and then disappeared. We finally gave up and got up to leave and she came over and started explaining she was on the phone to the owner whose only response was that the GF wraps were more expensive. I told her we wouldn't be back and she sullenly told me she was going to offer us a discount. I told her to put it toward her tip.
We were surprised at how empty the place was when we got there; not anymore! Not sure if it's a new owner or new management, but we will definitely NOT be back.
As we were getting into our car, the waitress actually came out and asked about her service. I said, well, in all honesty, we had to wait longer than normal because you disappeared. She huffily told me that she isn't the only one working there; someone else could have brought us our food. NO accountability. And then she tried to say it was my expectations. I said, anyone would have expected to get their food in a reasonable amount of time.
She told us to "have a blessed day;" somehow, I doubt that was what she really meant.

Sometimes, all ya really want is a good ol' gluten free breakfast sandwich, and thankfully, High Street delivers!
Apparently you can order a GF loaf ahead of time as well, in case you were wondering. The man working was super nice 🙂
Also very happy that they have delicious modification options, so my maple sausage, egg + cheese with avocado + caramelized onions was super flavorful and juuust a little bigger than I could finish.
Their pastries and refrigerated sides look super good; only one gf chocolate muffin available.
Small place with enough seating for 4-5 inside and 6 outside.
& the fresh OJ was super fresh!

Food is mediocre at best and definitely overpriced. $20 for TWO scallops. Salads were bland. Service was slow and food wasn’t served as the menu described. The ambiance is weird…it’s like this restaurant can’t decide who they want to be. One section is rustic, another contemporary, another modern farmhouse style, and last but not least, the kitchen area looks like a 1950’s diner. They up charge for everything. If you have a gluten allergy and ask for gluten free bread, be prepared to pay an extra $3 (even though regular bread is complimentary).
This charming bakery offers an impressive selection of treats that leave everyone craving more, even non-celiac folks.

This cafe is located right across the street from the Eastern State Penitentiary. Stop in! It’s terrific!
First, it’s a big place, with a great vibe and friendly people. It was well organized and clean. Also, it had lots of choices for good preferences and allergies. I’m gluten free and dairy free and had many choices here. They have drinks and food. I can vouch for the oat milk latte.
This an LGBTQ friendly place, as evidenced by their signage and gender neutral bathrooms. I saw a lot of diversity in patrons: families, students, seniors and couples. Lots of tourists and locals alike.
Price were fair and accessibility was available. Parking is a bit harder in this area but you can find street parking with some patience. Worth the time to visit!

Be careful if you require a gluten free meal. We noted it on the reservation, talked to the server, got a marked up menu, and requested that they advise the kitchen about the GF ask. I ordered a salad and it came with croutons buried in it. If you have celiac disease, I would avoid this restaurant.

Staff was very kind and immediately helped each guest even though it was crowded in the bakery. This bakery was recommended to me because they had gluten free offerings. I wasn’t super impressed because the gluten free pastries were mixed in throughout the regular pastries and were not in a dedicated refrigerator case. Additionally, most of the GF options were cookies which are easy to make at home and I was looking for more of a treat. I opted for this gluten free “Chocolate Bottom Cupcake” and thought it looked in the case to be a chocolate cupcake with cookie dough. Unfortunately, I discovered it to be filled with cream cheese and chocolate chips. I wasn’t a fan and won’t return in the future.

Some of the best breakfast of my entire life. Sublime. The namesake pancakes are as good as you'd want them to be, rich, complex, savory. Each variety or different type of cake hits such different notes and is such a delight to try.
Even the gluten free pancakes, definitely not my thing, were vastly enjoyed by my mom who because of dietary restrictions couldn't have anything else. She asks me if we can come back here very often.
As for anything else here, you may have had better eggs elsewhere I can't speak to that. But the pancakes in particular are of an unreal quality, I've taken friends here and they've agreed with me on how great it is here.
And I'm not ragging on the other meals you can have here either, I've mostly stayed pancake exclusive myself, but the eggs I've had were also of an above average quality to say the least.
The place is well maintened and really looks like a cheesecake factory, but less, I dunno, in your face? I like it a lot. Very homey, but still classy. Overall, great place, great food, and I've only had great service.

Food, service and atmosphere were all great and my celiac daughter was well taken care of. I'm giving 3 stars because we went on mother's day and they were taking reservations. But the online wait-list nor anywhere else online that we saw said so. So we joined the wait-list which said 10-20 min but it was really 45min. They really needed to take the wait-list offline and post they are taken reservations for that day.
Edit:
Thanks for the response, good to see you pay attention to customer feedback, I gave you another star for the followup.
