Saw this on Instagram. We were in a hurry and didn’t review the menu before we went. Not authentic Thai food. Ordered the Pad Ka Prow and had 95% green beans and maybe 2 tablespoons of ground meat. I get the overall healthy, gluten free nature but if you want real Thai then this is not it. I should have been clued in by the location.

What an amazing experience to eat at the Original Kerbey Lane.
We walked in and where immediately greeted and seated.
James was our server whom educated that this is the original Kerbey Lane that opened in 1980!
Love his hospitality!
The inside is so clean and has the most amazing art décor hanging all over the walls.
The menu and food is what you would expect for Vegan Gluten Free options.
I ordered:
Vegan Breakfast Platter (VG)
Two Dr. Praeger’s veggie patties & tofu scramble topped with green onions & fresh diced tomatoes. Served with two half size vegan vanilla swirl pancakes.
Cost $12.99
I started with the Tofu scramble and veggie patties they both were full of flavors. My pallet was extremely happy with the texture to the tofu scramble. The veggie patties to me where a bit too soft and could have been cooked a bit longer so the inside was not mushy.
The two Vegan Gluten Free Vanilla Swirl Pancakes are the BEST and I mean the BEST pancakes I have ever eaten. They were fluffy moist and full of flavor. If you were not aware these are vegan and gluten free and wow I am honestly speechless at the texture the taste the way the cinnamon vanilla swirl enhanced the pancakes in a way that they were extremely sweet. To a point I had to take them home to finish. What an amazing tasting dish!!!
My friend ordered:
French Toast Platter* (V)
Two slices of French toast, two eggs any style & choice of all natural bacon, sausage or seasonal fresh fruit. $12.29
They advised that the French toast was cooked to perfection full fluffy and not egg tasting. They ordered over easy eggs which where cooked perfectly. The seasonal fruit however was not good. The honeydew and cantaloupe were not ripe and the strawberry's felt rubbery to a point I spat the strawberry out as soon as I took a bite of it. We both tried the fruit to ensure that they were definitely not ripe, and that the texture was off.
The cleanliness is off the charts as well as the service.
Overall this was an amazing experience and the food overall was exceptional minus the fruit!

One of the best breakfests I've ever had!
Got the lemon poppyseed French toast special and it was delicious. Absolutely perfect and decadent. Made with a lemon poppy seed poundcake or bread and a delicious glaze. Got it as the "Lemon Poppy Paris Texas Platter" which also came with migas, which they recommended with queso as the sauce, also super rich and decadent so I maybe would've got it with a different sauce but super delicious nonethless. They have a really wide menu with a lot of variety from savory to sweet and some vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu.
Got an iced orange mocha with oat milk, super great drink.
The staff were all very kind and helpful and made the experience really pleasant. Great value for the quality and amount of food you get. A really enjoyable and tasty meal!

I love this place for our family for brunch because they have delicious healthy options for me and classic diner options for my kids. It's a win-win. There's an entire gluten free menu, lots of vegetarian options, and delicious buddha bowls. They also have beer on tap and an espresso machine. I like the atmosphere - it's like a diner but feels more Austin. They're also great for take out and kids.

They have more than one option for gluten free. All the items I got were gluten free. I got a chocolate frosted donut, chocolate chip muffin, chocolate chip cookies (package of 2) and a white chocolate mocha frappe (with coffee). My total was $20.04
Everything in the case is clearly labeled. The lady at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Donut was cakey, but not too thick. It had chocolate icing.
Muffin was so soft. Tasted buttery and not too sweet for being chocolate chip. I ate it the fastest out of the items.
Cookies look like they were hard, but they were soft once you bit into them.
Frappe was a good accompaniment to my breakfast.
A vibrant spot with a huge menu, this place can get crowded but offers both indoor and outdoor seating for a lively experience.

Love Kerbey Lane, but this one at around 8 pm was not good. I had gluten free pancakes which were very dry like they had been sitting around for a while and warmed up. My friend ordered a salad and the brought out the wrong one. Very disappointing.

I was really excited to try the Original Pancake House after reading positive reviews, especially about their gluten-free waffles. As someone with a severe gluten intolerance, I was eager to finally enjoy a decent GF waffle. When we arrived, I made sure to clearly specify my need for the gluten-free option when ordering.
At first, everything seemed great. The waffles were delicious, and both my husband and I were impressed by how good they tasted, especially for a gluten-free version. However, a few bites in, I started feeling uncomfortable. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, but it quickly escalated. I had to rush to the restroom and realized something was very wrong. It turns out, after my husband checked with the waitress, we had actually been served regular, full wheat waffles—not the gluten-free ones I’d ordered.
This is a huge issue, especially for anyone with serious gluten intolerance or allergies. It’s not just a minor mistake—this could have been dangerous. I am extremely disappointed, and this is something that should never happen, especially when dietary restrictions are clearly communicated. It’s hard to trust a place that can’t get something so basic right. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others with gluten sensitivities to be cautious.

Aiden was an energetic host and server that kept the coffee mugs full. The food was outstanding. The bake potatoe omlette was an unexpected yum (the green onions really made the flavor pop). My sister had plenty of gluten free options, her pancakes actually had flavor. Don't care for the diner look but I am old school. I miss the cozy home feel of the original location.

Friendly old school (1978) diner with American comfort food classics. Dont expect anything to be healthy :) They don’t have fresh squeezed orange juice, or real maple syrup (though they do offer some whole wheat, vegetarian, & gluten free options. They also have organic apple juice.) They keep cost down, service is efficient and friendly, and all food was perfectly prepared. Very kid friendly.

Not reliable ordering ahead. While I love the idea of having a gluten free option, so I still gave 3 stars, I was super disappointed to have wasted an hour driving because they didn’t have my order (I ordered the day before). I tried to make the best of it by ordering something else, but what I ordered instead was pretty sub par tasting so I couldn’t finish it.
Edit: since there seems to be confusion, I followed the instructions on the website by texting my order. Payment was not asked for during the process and I assumed that was normal. Photo is from their website.

Angel at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Austin truly exemplified the warm hospitality and exceptional service that the city is known for. During our recent visit with family from San Antonio, Angel went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience that showcased the best of Austin's brunch scene.
From the moment we stepped into the cafe, Angel greeted us with a genuine smile and a friendly demeanor that immediately put us at ease. He quickly sensed that we had out-of-town guests and took it upon himself to give us a thorough rundown of the menu, highlighting both local favorites and unique dishes that set Another Broken Egg apart from other brunch spots.
Angel's knowledge of the menu was impressive. He expertly guided us through the extensive offerings, from the chef-inspired breakfast dishes to the hand-crafted cocktails. When my aunt mentioned her gluten sensitivity, Angel was quick to point out the gluten-friendly options and even suggested modifications to other dishes to accommodate her dietary needs. His attentiveness to detail and willingness to customize our orders demonstrated his commitment to ensuring every guest's satisfaction.
What truly stood out was Angel's passion for showcasing Austin's culinary scene. He enthusiastically recommended the Crab Cake Benedict and the Shrimp N' Grits, explaining that these dishes perfectly blended Southern comfort food with a unique Austin twist. His descriptions were so vivid that we could almost taste the dishes before they arrived at our table.
Angel's expertise extended beyond the food menu. When my brother-in-law expressed interest in trying a local brew, Angel suggested pairing our meals with some of Austin's finest craft beers. He even offered a brief history of the local brewing scene, adding an educational element to our dining experience that our San Antonio relatives particularly enjoyed.
Throughout our meal, Angel maintained the perfect balance of attentiveness and discretion. He seemed to anticipate our needs, refilling drinks and checking on our satisfaction at just the right moments without being intrusive. His timing was impeccable, allowing us to enjoy our family conversation while ensuring we had everything we needed.
As we finished our meal, Angel took the time to recommend some local attractions and hidden gems that our San Antonio family could explore during their visit. His insider tips on the best parks, live music venues, and art galleries showcased his pride in Austin and his desire to share the city's unique culture with visitors.
Angel's exceptional service didn't go unnoticed by other diners either. We observed him providing the same level of attentive, personalized service to every table in his section, consistently maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
Thanks to Angel's outstanding service and extensive knowledge, our family from San Antonio left Another Broken Egg Cafe with full stomachs and a newfound appreciation for Austin's hospitality. His genuine enthusiasm for both the restaurant and the city made our brunch more than just a meal – it was a true Austin experience.
Angel's performance exemplifies the high standard of service that Another Broken Egg Cafe strives to provide. His ability to create a welcoming atmosphere, share his expertise, and go the extra mile for guests makes him an invaluable asset to the restaurant and a shining example of Austin's renowned hospitality.

Mozart's is the quintessential Austin experience. There is an eclectic live local music scene, a beautiful view of the lake with the opportunity to rent a padle boat and truly emerce yourself in the vibe . The food is relatively responsibility priced the expanadas are great so are the quiches especially the gluten free crustless potato leek . All the coffee teas and lemonades are delicious. Only down sides are the long slow lines, which only gives you more time to admire the dessert case and listen to the music and the bird poops. Beware the bird poop! Give yourself a couple of hours here to soak up the ambiance and sip your drink and the views.

The price of wings is outrageous. $12 for 6 wings and $24 for 12 wings. Wingstop does not charge that much and taste better. The wings here taste like they're rubber, chewy and reheated in the microwave.
