This is a negative review directly related to how hot cross buns were being displayed & arranged. The buns were stacked on top of each other & squashed like pancakes. Like so many folks with celiac I have to eat GF otherwise suffer the consequences which can be very severe. I commented to the staff member running the till about the hot cross buns all being squashed & asked if there were any in the back that were not squashed. She blinked at me like a troll from Frozen with a completely lost & confused expression & whispered no. Life is very expensive & this made me sad. I bought hot cross buns from a grocery store for the rest of my family and even those were sad in my eyes but they were not squished. Packaged in a recyclable box measuring 6.5cm in height. I measured kinnikinnicks to find that at the highest point was just over 2cm!! That's not even an inch!! The highest point! I know the person working the till is just staff likely being paid minimum wage (which is another hill to die on) but is it too much to ask for no squished hot cross buns!?!? I would ask that we all take a bit more pride in our jobs, no matter the job, & please be a bit more thoughtful. Can you please arrange baked goods in a way that will not ruin the product? This is sad. If I was the owner I'd be embarrassed.

I have been going to Ben Meats for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed! The product selection is amazing and the staff are super friendly. On top of that its a safe place for my celiac family members! There is truly something for everyone and I am so excited for the new location to open!

I got a lemon raspberry cake for a party it was perfect it fed all the people I needed to feed and it was absolutely delicious I would totally recommend and I'm actually holding myself back from going again and grabbing all their tasty looking treats. It feels like being in an actual bakery again instead of kinda being stuck with like very little variety. This place has tons they have donuts and eclairs all gluten free I love it plus staff is super nice.

An okay diner it feels kinda tight and is loud but the fact it's gluten friendly is a big plus and on top of that the food tastes absolutely amazing, which is hard without gluten. Coffee was not fun and it was super busy. Overall it's a cute place every once in awhile, though I don't think you'd want to make it a regular spot.

Came here with my hubby for dinner. We had the boston clam chowder to start gluten free and the gluten free haddock fish and chips. We both agreed it's the best gluten free fish we've ever had. We'll definitely come back and try the gluten free onion rings

Went to celebrate our mom’s legacy at her favourite restaurant! Ordered dinner for 6 plus 2 more ppl and added 2 dishes. Gluten free for a few of us! Fresh, hot, delivered to the large round table with smiles! Our famous hostess came and sang a “b day” song with us ! Owner gentleman took our pic outside! Wonderful green tea and wine selection…see them next year! Came from Okotoks to have dinner in Edmonton!

I'm so happy there's a place in Edmonton where I can eat a gluten-free donair! The wrap they use is good and holds-up well. I didn't like how much sauce they put on the donair, but I will ask for less next time. I am highly reactive to cross contamination of gluten and had no reaction. The best part is that it was 1 am when I went there, and I did not think I would be able to eat out at that hour. It makes me so happy that there's a gluten-free option late on the weekends! Good job Prairie Donair! Atmosphere was ok, just cold and a typical diner feel. Prices were fair.

A real treasure in SE Edmonton. It is in TAWA centre on 66 Street. The most delicious coffees and beautiful gluten free deserts are to be found here. I come to TAWA every 3 months, and always enjoy a wonderful coffee and sandwich

We ordered cupcakes and an 8 inch vanilla cake with chocolate icing on the inside. The cake and the cupcakes were stunning. Gluten free cakes/deserts aren't typically a favorite for those that don't have the dietary restrictions but everyone really enjoyed them!

We went out for dinner before a concert and I ordered their pesto rosso pasta. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and the waiter was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to this. On my first bite I bit into a rock. Thankfully I didn't chip a tooth. The waiter apologized and ordered new food for me. Which was great, but I was disappointed in their actions after. They gave me 50% off my pasta dish and no manager came to speak to me. I felt like this incident could have been worse and the fact that no manager came to apologize wasn't the best customer service.

I went to P.F. Chang's for the first time last month. I was alone because I was on a work trip. Even though this is a family style restaurant, I had the best time dining alone. The food was so good!! Liam, my server was so nice and helpful as it was my first time. I have celiac disease, this was no problem at all, I had quite a few options and all things I ate were delicious! I highly recommend checking it out. I can't wait to go back with some friends.

My partner and I have gone several times before and it was decent. The last time we went, we ordered a gluten free Perogy and a Gluten Free Meat Lovers. Both of us ended up falling sick not shortly after eating. Would definitely go again. And to top it off the customer service was not great and that we weren't really a priority. She barely even said hi or welcomed us to the shop.

Visiting from Calgary and stopped by Remedy Café for their gluten-free options. The staff assured me food prep is safe for celiacs, with a separate prep area, toaster, and utensils. Tried the coconut chicken wrap on a GF wrap, Punjabi style — absolutely flavorful and filling. Saved half for later! Great experience and will definitely be back. Shoutout to the server for being knowledgeable of gluten free practices and a stellar recommendation for my wrap!

Very lackluster as no real flavor in the sub I had (korean bbq). The gluten free bun my other half had was nice she said. Bun also didn't taste fresh on mine and not a lot of ingredients on it. Pop $2.25 not $1.50 as it says on the menu sign at the front. Its not that big a price deal but when I pointed it out it was dismissed. That after they mistakenly tried to charge $4.00 for each pop. Bottom line is for the price it was not worth it for me so would not return. Place was clean though.

Absolutely love their Crum Cookie (almond butter and chocolate, gluten and dairy free). Can’t get enough of them. They also have a peanut butter cookie that’s gluten and dairy free as well that’s just as delicious. A nice little coffee shop with lots of hot drink options and a variety of goodies. The staff are always friendly.

After a long weekend in edmonton I needed a gluten and dairy free pizza, I got a load your own and chose my 7 toppings!! Pesto sauce was so good. The crust was the BEST I ever had!! So fluffy I thought it was a mistake, like it was too good to be gluten free! Broccoli is a great addition to to the usual toppings. Now I'm sad we don't have this chain on Vancouver island! ??? Against All Grain Benny was by far the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Got the spicy hollandaise and it was just the right mild spice. The Brussel sprouts were sweet, carmelized and pure perfection. Vegan and gluten free which was perfect. I will be back to try other vegan GF items.

They are not careful when it comes to correctly labeling and preparing for dietary needs. I have Celiacs Disease and due to them giving me a regular bagel with the written label of a "gluten free" I'm now experiencing agonizing symptoms. Luckily I won't die, but if you have any allergies DO NOT GO TO THIS REMEDY. Could you imagine if it was a nut allergy?! Do better.

The service was great and the food was amazing! I ordered dinner for my sister, who has a gluten allergy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of gluten free options! All of the food and drinks we got were amazing and definitely the best Vietnamese/thai I’ve had in a while. I would definitely recommend the vermicelli and iced coffee!

We visited this restaurant after hearing great reviews from the gluten-free community. Arriving late in the evening, we seemed to have missed the dinner rush as no other tables arrived. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the fish and chips, while my friends had the beef dip. The wait for our food felt long, though it was unclear if this was due to extra precautions for my allergies, as nothing was communicated. The food looked good, but the flavours fell short. The beef dip was well-received, but both the fries and fried fish lacked seasoning. The coleslaw was overly creamy and bland, though the tartar sauce was great. One piece of my fish tasted fine, while the other was fishy. Additionally, my lemon wedge arrived with the sticker still attached, suggesting a lapse in quality control. On the positive side, the cocktails were excellent. Overall, while I appreciate the restaurant’s commitment to allergy safety, the slow food service and lack of flavour left me undecided on whether I’d return.

I will forever rave about this place. We've only come twice as we lo Iive In Calgary & have never found a restaurant come close. The experience of fondue with actual tables surrounding this experience, the atmosphere and friendly staff is EVERYTHING. Today, my partner and I ordered a LOVEPIZZA (Downtown) Plain Jane pizza (16”*6”), added the gluten-free option for an extra $3.5, and selected 3 toppings, one of which was Fresh Arugula. We paid $32 plus a $5 tip (Uber Eats). However, we received a round pizza that was 8 inches in diameter with wilted yellow-brown arugula! We have been to this place before and ordered the same pizza, which was delicious and everything was great. But today, on Valentine's Day, what a disappointment. We called the place twice, explaining that we paid for a 16*6 inch pizza with fresh arugula, but received an 8-inch pizza with wilted arugula for $32. However, the woman on the phone refused to cooperate and insisted that we received what we ordered, stating that they don't have a different size for gluten-free. She told us to eat what we got (even though we had selected a different pizza). I explained that nowhere was it stated that we would receive a pizza half the size for an additional charge. No matter how much I tried to explain that this was not what I ordered, and that for $32 I could have ordered a regular pizza if it had been stated anywhere that the size would be half (not to mention the wilted arugula). They really ruined our celebration and didn't even apologize.
