Our server, Matt, was exceptional! I have celiac disease and he helped me navigate the
menu and I was able to enjoy a full course meal plus dessert!
Expect a mix of good food and attentive service, but watch out for some cleanliness issues and lack of utensils.

The food was good, the waiter was nice but,.... Food was served without utensils or napkins. I ordered a gluten free dish and it came with Italian bread placed on top. The extra dishes to share the appetizers were dirty. All this was discussed with the manager who was nice and accommodating.
Expect a lively atmosphere with flavorful and filling offerings, plus some fun take-home cups to remember the good vibes.

I'm not that excited to eat here, I have food allergies, they have coated fries, and the fried onions that were on my salad were coated, too. The Gluten free buns they have do not agree with my system.

This place was amazing and very accommodating to our dietary allergies! Two in our party have allergies to gluten (Celiac’s Disease), dairy, and tree nuts. A special shoutout to Al for going above and beyond for us! 10/10 would definitely recommend
Perfect for big groups, this spot serves up a lively atmosphere with delicious family-style portions that guarantee everyone leaves satisfied.

Very nice place to eat a dinner, very busy, huge portions, one order can feed 4 people. tons of dietary restriction food, gluten free, garlic free, etc. highly recommend.
Went for my birthday. We usually split our meals in the better steakhouses because of the size of the portions. Ther bone in ribeye was very fatty, and on the small size. Chop salad was just ok. Waiter was good. Also we informed them about gluten free allergy. They must of cross contaminated, so beware if you have food allergy. Left hungry. No more wasting money on a Morton again.
Experience stunning ocean views, a unique menu, and a vibrant atmosphere perfect for special occasions and holiday brunches.

One of the finest and most unique restaurants in the AC area. Chef Garces has created a delicious and unique menu (which also happens to be mostly gluten free by the way). The service is top notch no matter when you go or who you get. But if you get Cheech as your server, you’ll probably ask for him next time :)
There are no finer dining views in all of NJ than at Amada. Panoramic ocean and boardwalk views, even if you are not seated at the window tables. The cocktails and sangrias are delicious. Everything on the menu is great but I highly suggest the pork dishes as an entree. The pernil, Iberico steak and paellas are out of this world. A great spot for a celebratory dinner, and when they offer their holiday brunches, they are just the best anywhere.
Enjoy a nostalgic 50s diner vibe with tasty offerings, friendly vibes, and affordable prices that keep customers coming back for more.

I just want to give Jonny Rockets a five star for their good food and good service. I want to give a big thumbs up to our favorite server Diane who helped me with my gluten free allergy.
She introduced me to a gluten free bun that finally allowed me to eat one of their delicious burgers. We love you Diane! We definitely need more servers like you!😊
They could not have made our anniversary feel any less special if they tried.
When we booked, we made sure to note it was our 25th wedding anniversary. We did the same when we got to the restaurant, and the host acted as if he didn't even hear me. Which I thought for a minute that he didn't, because he seated us at a table next to a family with very rambunctious kids. When I asked about the more private looking booths (again, mentioning the desire for a romantic evening) I was told, 'they are all reserved'. I made my reservations over a month earlier, so I'm not sure how far in advance you might need to book to be treated to one of these booths. I may never know ... the likelihood of us going back is slim.
The waiter seemed to be distracted all evening. As he was always looking somewhere else, and seemed unable to answer most of our questions, or even seem to hear them. It was as if he couldn’t wait to get us out of there. Keep in mind it was a Tuesday night at 6pm. The place was not overly busy.
The only acknowledgment of the occasion came when he literally dropped a small cake on the table with a candle, mumbled something about, ‘happy anniversary’ and ran away ... Might we have liked a picture to capture the moment? Or even a chance to order a coffee to have with the desert (which was not gluten free .. even though my wife’s whole meal was GF).
We were specially disappointed because we had been so looking forward to the experience. We had read about Angeline’s in New Jersey magazine and had heard so much about their wonderful service. There was also mention of their special gluten free options. Turns out they have one type of gluten free pasta and none of the deserts, bread or appetizers were GF.
Repurposed shipping containers create a cozy garden vibe, offering a stellar menu with quality options, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

This place is a hidden gem! I would never have expected something so perfect to exist just two blocks off the boardwalk!
I won a giveaway from do215, and a very generous $100 gift card was The Cardinal’s contribution, and boy was it generous!! The setup is super cool, with repurposed shipping containers framing an outdoor garden and courtyard, leading diners to large glass doors and a welcoming and spacious interior. Mike, the host, was warm and inviting, leading us past hanging plants and tastefully rustic but classy accents of large timbers and concrete to a nice sized table for four. The menu is perfect. Small enough to indicate a focus on quality and a concise theme, but diverse enough to offer something for everyone. There are lots of vegan and gluten free options, tons of starters and salads, and a straightforward kids menu with everyone kids want. The prices are incredible across the board for this quality of food, service, and atmosphere, and if you’re looking to imbibe a thoughtful and delicious alcoholic beverage, there are multiple bars with all the classics, signature craft cocktails, and an extensive wine list to pair with every meal choice. (La muerte verde fue muy incredible!)
We didn’t leave room for dessert, but wish we had, as all three classic offerings, flour-free chocolate cake, carrot cake, and cheesecake, sounded perfect.
If you go and you’re gluten-intolerant, I suggest you avoid the lamb burger, as the textures and flavors of the lamb and goat cheese didn’t pair all that well with the gluten free bun. And the fact that I have nothing else to warn about is certainly not for lack of a critical perspective. The Cardinal was just that ideal on an August Friday night. If you’re on the fence, go. It’s gotta be among the best AC has to offer.
A perfect spot on the Boardwalk to relax with a cocktail while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and people-watching.

I dined in a few weeks ago with my friend and we were IMPRESSED! The atmosphere was really nice, the food was good ( i got a fish taco it was phenomenal! My friend got herself a gluten free burger and was so happy with it. We end up order key lime pie to share and it was the best decision ever! Porsche, our waiter he was super helpful and attentive, he's kept on checking on us and follow up for our food
We definitely going back there!

This may be one of the better meals that I have had in my Life. To start, everything on the menu was clearly labeled Gluten Free if it was, so this was a huge help. We started with the chilled seafood sampler for two which was AMAZING. I have never said this in my Life, but I think the top neck clams may have been the highlight of this dish. We then split a Maine chowder, and this was stellar. Finally we had the crab stuffed flounder and red snapper dishes that were out of this world. Jodie was a fantastic server and she even got young Connor (the piano player) to play Purple Rain for me on my Birthday. We will absolutely be back. This time, with more people. Go here.
Great vibes and a welcoming atmosphere make for an unforgettable dining experience, with fantastic specials and excellent hospitality all around.

Went to Harrah’s for a DECA state conference and went to La Strada because they have gluten free pasta. It was so good that I went there both nights in a row. The first night we had Signe as our waitress. She was more than welcoming and her hospitality was top tier. She was patient and more than willing to work with me and my dietary restrictions. La Strada was one of my best experiences that I had at a restaurant ever. Each of the waiters and waitresses were personable. No matter what happened they were friendly, respectful and courteous.
BEWARE New Management New ISSUES
Jul 2024
BEWARE OF THE NEW MANAGER!!!
My husband and I recently dined here, and when we took our food to go, we discovered THAT MORE THAN HALF OF IT WAS MISSING, and the bread was torn apart. This is particularly concerning because I adhere to a strict gluten free diet. This dish is high in protein. I'm not the one to complain or be a Karan, however, the manager could've done a better job. The manager obviously doesn't know what she is doing......l think anyone else could've made better decisions with an upset customer about tampered food.I ORDERED the poached egg dish for the high protein... not for the bread. Lol.
Despite our repeated requests for our food, the waiter didn't acknowledge any issues and failed to apologize or offer a replacement.
When we contacted the restaurant about this, they claimed to have "reviewed" the cameras and insisted that nothing unusual happened.
The manager agreed that we both took a bite and called for the check. But when I asked where the rest of the food went, or that the fact that her cameras did not capture the fact that someone ate our FOOD in the back, after she confirmed we only took a bite, her response to
"where did the rest of my husband's sandwichgo?" was a clueless "huh?". This response is simply not credible given the state of our food.
This incident has left us feeling unsafe and deeply distrustful of The Fork and Knife Gypsy's. The way our complaint was handled shows a complete lack of accountability and respect for customers. I urge anyone considering dining here to THINK TWICE. The safety and integrity of their food handling practices are highly questionable.
We will be reporting this to the Department of Health to ensure this matter is thoroughly investigated and to protect other customers from such an unacceptable experience. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

This Rainforest Cafe, located on the boardwalk of Atlantic City, New Jersey was the requested spot to have dinner by my granddaughters after a competition nearby. We arrived at the busiest time possible and expected to have to wait but surprisingly did not have to wait. We were given a great table towards the back of the restaurant. I am both gluten and dairy-free and the manager I believe, took my situation into account and discussed food options with the chef to provide me with a meal that was not only delicious but also safe. I have never eaten in a Rainforest Cafe before but I will look forward to enjoying their food in the future.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere that feels like a getaway, with multiple seating areas and delicious drinks that elevate the experience.

The hostesses were great. I don’t know her name but the young lady at the front with Bkack hair is always so pleasant and professional. Our server Q was fantastic. Very helpful guiding my mother in law with Gluten free options. She was super nice and gave us top notch service. The food was on point. Very delicious.

Unfortunately this place wasn’t worth the money spent. The gluten free bagels are NOT celiac safe, cross contamination is not cared for there. The employees were rude and kept getting frustrated when stressing my gluten allergy concerns. I would recommend for anyone that isnt celiac.
Warning do not go to the Palm in Atlantic City if you have celiac disease or any other type of food allergy. The staff is grossly incompetent or lack proper food safety training. My eight year old son has celiac disease. Prior to going we called ahead to double check that it was safe for our son and stated it was. The manager even stated “that he has celiac”. Every time that food was brought out I asked the servers if his food was gluten free and free from any cross contamination. Every time they reassured me that it was completely safe. However, lo and behold I found a fried onion (which is breaded in flower) in his hash browns!!! Not one person at our table even ordered fried onions!! Celiac community avoid the Palm in Atlantic City safe food handling is not a priority for them!!

I love a good steak! The restaurant has these booths so if you want an even more romantic feel make sure to request one. Service was amazing and of course I was happy that there were more than two gluten free options for dinner

Our entire party unanimously agreed this was the best meal of our trip. The waitess, Mirla, and team provided excellence service which only enhanced the meal. Mirla was also very informed regarding the dietary restrictions of our group and helped with alternatives that were not listed on the menu(specifically gluten free, which was troublesome at some other area restaurants). We will definitely be returning!
A decent spot for a quick meal during restaurant week, but nothing that stands out as memorable for a return visit.

Nice, genuine Italian eatery that did not quite live up to the hype. We went for happy hour and sat at the bar. Our server was polite but never cracked a smile (until the check came) or really made us feel welcome. We had high hopes for the cocktails but they were quite bitter. Appetizers were delicious but portions were teeny tiny. More like tapas than appetizers. The stars of the show were the pasta entrees. Both my bolognese and my wife’s dish were excellent. Deep rich meaty flavors and properly cooked gluten free pasta. The ambience at Girasole is sort of a Tucson patio theme. It’s more successful in the entry dining room by the bar than in the larger secondary dining room.
Overall we enjoyed our meal, but at this price point there are better choices for good Italian dining in AC.
I was pleasantly surprised by this upscale but quaint little gem in Tropicana! To start off I have Celiac's disease so I am very selective where I go to eat. I called ahead to ask if they had gluten free options and they said yes so I made a reservation for that night. We got seated quickly and was greeted by our server Mark who was nothing short of amazing. He was very knowledgeable about gluten free and served gluten free rolls which were spectacular!! The chef specially made a flounder franchaise for me and everything from the apps to the wine selection was amazing! The manager was very nice and came over to the table to ask how everything was. We will be back very soon!! A must try in AC
Beautiful place for an outdoor breakfast! Food was delicious and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I'm gluten intolerant and they were kind enough to prepare my food in a safe manor.
my diet is gluten free, my friends wanted to come here so I went, they have not indicated in the menu if they have gluten free options, but they had no problem in giving me my hamburger wrapped in lettuce and it was great!
Experience an authentic Italian gem with table-side dishes and a charming atmosphere, but be ready to book well in advance!

Incredible food. Top 10 of my life, really. Super authentic Italian food, many of the dishes were prepared table side which is fun. Plenty of gluten free options as they make most things from scratch.
Our friend made the reservation but I'm told it was very hard to do. You have to call ahead 2 weeks away from when you want to come in. Exactly 2 weeks as you can't book any further out than that and they sell out in just a few minutes. So call and call at noon exactly 2 weeks out.
It's a small but very authentic venue. Service was OK, our waiter could have stopped by a bit more. Overall it was a great experience and I would go back for sure, if I can get a reservation!
Amazing food amazing service. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering and everything was fresh. The servers and chef were also very accommodating of my gluten allergy. 10/10 recommend.
It is a good local spot in atlantic city. The vibe is good and the outdoor seating area is huge and there was a music band. There is some gluten free options. They are working on labeling the dietary restrictions in the menu. However, the waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about Celiac and gluten allergy.
Cute little diner tucked away in the resorts casino. Service was quick and efficient, food was good, gluten free buns available if you have an allergy. Highly recommend as a cute, cheap spot. Some seats have great views of the beach/ocean as well, which is just a plus!
Fantastic dinner great ambiance! Staff was extremely attentive the food was amazing and very accommodating if you have issues with gluten or spiciness...will go again!
With a warm atmosphere perfect for groups and exceptional service, it's a spot you won’t want to miss for a memorable dining experience.

Absolutely amazing experience. From the incredible service that we got from Leah to the delicious food… I could not recommend this place enough. We had a large group (8 people) and felt so welcomed. Marvin, the head chef, even came out to confirm what a member of our party wanted in order to accommodate a gluten allergy. We couldn’t have asked for a better dinner experience. Go to this place, you won’t regret it!!
Authentic vibe with homemade delights and a strong focus on corn-based options, making it a standout choice for a unique dining experience.

Lovely and authentic place. For all the celiacs out there, 90% of the menu is gluten-free, because it is based on corn and not wheat. Our waiter was very, very kind and asked us few times if surely all is good withour food! Their tacos are homemade and delicious. Highly recommend!
Edit: I went there 2nd time and ordered the same. Food quality is still great 👍

Plan on a wait before being seated in the Summer, but know that everything will be worth the wait! Extensive menu. Delicious food. Excellent service. Also, if you're eating gluten free, they have a different gluten free pasta each night, off menu. Just ask! Enjoy!
