Gluten free, fish was beautiful, lovely crispy coating, nice and fresh. Homemade tartar sauce was delicious as was the curry sauce, and we loved the family history, about the chip shop. Would highly recommended if in Eastbourne

The best Indian restaurant we have ever discovered. An explosion of flavors, varied and rare dishes, attentive service. Don't forget to make a reservation if you want to be able to sit down at this restaurant! Particular attention is paid to vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free. We can only recommend.

Big thank you to the staff at Pizza Express Eastbourne for my daughters 8th birthday party today. She had a great time with her friends and the chef was fantastic with the children. They also kindly catered for two children with very specific dietary requirements which was very much appreciated. They were even able to make a base with everyone else so they didn’t feel left out and then swapped this out for a gluten free base with their own selection of toppings. The pizzas they all made were huge and they had a really generous amount of toppings to use. As well as that they had dough balls whilst waiting, ice cream at the end and they were all given boxes so they could take the rest of their pizza home. Thank you for great service and a great birthday experience.

GREAT grub, amazing service and wonderful atmosphere. So welcoming to every human (and dog!) and every dietary requirement. Clean and beautifully decorated. Absolutely my new favourite spot in Eastbourne and deserves your visit! Plenty of food options for everyone, options for leftovers to be taken away in a box and some items can be made to take out I believe. Staff are super knowledgeable about all allergens with plenty of options for gluten free, nut free, soy free etc. Full allergen list on reverse of menu. The bathroom is beautiful (downstairs), covered in mini quotes from customers. Lots of love in there. Including free sanitary items. Outdoor seating, free on street parking nearby with lots of spaces available.

Nice place. Very busy place, so better make a reservation before you go. We ate very good here. Gluten free was no problem at all. Good wines also!

I had the absolute pleasure of eating at Tuk Tuk last night. The tikka masala was the best I have ever tasted and being gluten free I eat this dish a lot. The staff were super nice and the atmosphere was chilled with great music.

Good, authentic Thai food with gluten free options in a pleasant restaurant close to the centre. Could have been slightly warmer but service was quick. The only negative point is that the male staff only addressed me and not my wife which felt a bit awkward and upsetting. This may have been unintentional but is worth thinking about. Good value at £20 a head for a meal and drink each.

Decent Chinese food with gluten free options. In Meads Village a 30min walk from the centre or catch the 3A bus. Service was quick. The sweet and sour chicken was good, not outstanding, and I enjoyed my veggie 5 spice Tofu, reasonable value at £44 for 2 meals and drinks.

Although I have given this place 5* for food that is only true if you consider ice cream a food. Service was excellent, was being served by a young lady almost as soon as my party stood at the ice cream counter. She was attentive and patient as there was 5 if us, my great nephew being gluten intolerant, and was great that they had a full list on the wall showing what ice creams he could have. They had quite a few!!!! The flavours were many and varied, although a bit short on any sorbet ice cream. The lady took her time, making sure she rinsed her serving tool between scoops. As for the atmosphere, the place was pretty full, inside and out as it was a hot sunny day. All in all, a great place to go for food and especially for ice cream. If I have any negative about this place it would be lack of parking places, but then it's Eastbourne seafront and very very popular.

Great takeaway this evening, thank you! This is the third Thai restaurant I've tried since moving to Eastbourne and it was the best. 👌 Quality ingredients, great flavours, interesting menu choices and food arrived piping hot. Rice was the best I can remember - soft and moist. Lovely service on the phone and so accommodating to my gluten free requirements. I'll be coming back for sure. 😃

Had a cream tea here for a friend's hen do. Cannot recommend more if this is the kind of event you're looking for. They were so friendly and helpful even with the decorations. The price is really reasonable, especially compared with hotels etc in the area and here we got to have the place to ourselves. The food was delicious and a good sized portion with a savoury and sweet scone, three different open sandwiches (appetiser sized), a pastry, a brownie and a macaron each. They were happy to cater for all dietary requirements inc vegan and gluten free without compromising on the choice or flavour for them. Do expect wine bar drinks prices though. They do offer a bottomless 2hr prosecco cream tea which is worth it if you plan to drink a lot. Overall,I highly recommend.

Went here for dinner on recommendation from my hotel. I called before to ask if the had any gluten free meals and was so happy to hear they could do any pizza, pasta dish as GF and they had other options too. I asked if the pizza base was commercial (AKA disappointing and small!) but they said their GF pizza bases are homemade too! Arrived to quite a quiet restaurant (worst storm of 2024 yet in March), but with a table already set and waiting 🙂 Started with mozzarella, tomatoes and rocket. Huge ball of creamy mozzarella, flavoursome tomatoes and lovely fresh, mild rocket. Served with really good quality EVOO and balsamic vinegar. Ordered the 5 cheese pizza as my main. The GF base was absolutely banging, couldn’t distinguish it from a glutinous base at all. Just the right balance of cheeses, not dripping with grease like a Domino’s. I ordered a house red, but they had run out, so they kindly gave me a more expensive wine for the same price, which was kind of them. Could not fault the friendliness or service. Attentive without being intrusive. I haven’t been so excited about food for a really long time. Eastbourne is a two hour drive from me, but I would happily go back to eat here again, probably for my next birthday. I expect this place is rammed in summer so would recommend booking!

Went here for a bit of breakfast. We were welcomed with friendly staff. The food was delicious, clean facilities and lots of choice of food and drink on the menu at reasonable prices. They have gluten-free options, too! Will definitely be visiting again.

Authentic fresh Italian food, each dish made from scratch. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere, kid-friendly (at least when we went at lunch). A hidden gem in Eastbourne! The sea bream, shellfish, pastas, Caprese and soup were all excellent! Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options including GF pasta.

Delicious food, gluten free vegetarian and vegan caterd for along with a carnivore! We had a vegetable tali with extra vegi side dishes all of which were aromatic more than hot spicy so you could appreciate the flavours. Aubergine that melted in the mouth and spinach that retained it's fresh green, brilliant! Apparently the meat current was good to. We booked a table as it was Saturday evening, popular place with several tables seated when we arrived. Prompt and attentive service that was not overbearing. Even neatly stacked dilveroo and just eat bags on a side table; which got much use and recycling during our time there. Good that it was so close to the YHA up the road which is self catering.

Really nice place to eat. Second time we have been, this time for lunch. Very helpful staff; I am gluten and dairy intolerant so have to be careful with ingredients... staff very understanding and very helpful with my menu choices. Food was really nice with good size portions. We will definitely be going back for more!

I had some delicious tapas here today! Our group had a wide variety of tapas and paella and everything was lovely. The staff were friendly and the chef came and spoke to me to make sure they dealt with my allergies correctly. The vegan and gluten free food they made for me was wonderful! The portions were generous too. We will definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely appertivo & live music on a Saturday evening. Lorenzo very kindly pointed me to what could be adjusted to be gluten free - we had a lovely grazing board of charcuterie such as mortadella & breseola, cheese, pickles & salad. We’ve recently been to Bologna, where a spritz and Italian meats is part of their culture, so it’s wonderful to have this addition in Eastbourne! Hopefully as Signor Panino grows there will be a set gluten free menu, but in the meantime, Lorenzo is more than happy to chat through options. Looking forward to my next visit!

Came here on the second day of opening, for breakfast, and were truly looked after. Staff all very attentive and polite, the resturant was light and airy and the tables and chairs all very comfortable, sturdy and fit perfectly with the aesthetics. Food and drink is a fair price but the quality superb, even the gluten free options were tastier than most GF alternatives. Tried a number of breakfast spots in Eastbourne but we have now found our favourite spot. Thank you Light at Towner for a wonderful breakfast brunch.

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time! Warm & friendly service, they even fried a piece cod in rice flour for me as I am gluten free (which was delicious). Generous portions, proper chis and reasonably priced. Well worth the short walk from the pier! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
