I have celiac. We came here while visiting Ashland because we had heard about the fried chicken, which was really good. However, I ordered a sandwich on gluten-free bread and it came on their rye bread. I ate it without thinking about it, but partway through realized it didn't seem like gluten-free bread. The server confirmed it was rye bread and sort of apologized. He took $2.40 off the cost of the sandwich, which seems insufficient for how sick I'm going to get. The fried chicken was amazing, but now I'm wondering how careful they are with that, since they don't seem to care about the sandwiches being gluten-free.

If you can eat gluten, Dobra is the best. Unfortunately it is not safe for celiac families. Only a couple of items on their menu have gluten and maybe one day they will become one of the hottest gluten free establishments in Ashland. But for now I will stay home dreaming about their reishi tonics and fresh healthy food. The service is amazing. The servers are super helpful and friendly and communicate clearly about gluten contamination risk~ (pretty safe for very minor intolerances, but steer clear if you have serious gluten reactions).
The vibes here are fabulous. I used to be a regular here before discovering how much gluten I was being exposed to. I still give this place a positive review because some people can eat gluten without damaging their bodies and I sincerely hope they get to enjoy Dobra Tea.

This time, I was met with scorn when I asked whether the GF pizza crust was safe for someone with a severe gluten allergy, the service was fake-nice, and the risotto was inedible (rice still raw in the middle, poor flavor profile, and a truly amazing dose of hot pepper flakes, which felt punitive. This place is amazing. I have celiac and had to double check that most of the buffet was gluten-free. It really did not taste like dry sadness so I really thought that perhaps it had wheat in it. There were these round bread balls that were in a sweet sauce that were amazing and made from corn flour and totally gluten-free. I'm very reactive and was fine after eating at the buffet. There were a few items that had gluten but the staff were very knowledgeable and let me know what to avoid. We had fresh mango juice with our meal and it was amazing too! My kids loved everything and the pond out front was beautiful. Everything was just amazing and it was very reasonably priced. We plan to visit every time we go to ashland from now on. It was a family hit!
