Great choice for gluten intolerant people. Wide variety of galettes and starters. Service was nice but there were misunderstandings due to the language barrier.

It is not a 100% gluten-free place, but they only eat the salad and the meat with potatoes. Therefore, what they offer in principle is gluten-free. The potatoes are homemade. The meat comes in a sauce (when talking to the waiters they told me it was also gluten-free) that for my taste contained a lot of oil, but the meat was just right. The place is very large but the tables are too close together. In general it is not bad.

The Modjo restaurant offers a six-course menu at 88 euros and a four-course menu at 72 euros. These set menus are designed to provide a consistent dining experience, but the lack of choice may not please all customers.
Welcome and atmosphere:
The welcome at Modjo is particularly pleasant. The staff is cheerful and attentive, which contributes to a positive first impression. The restaurant room, spread over two levels, is nicely decorated and well appointed, offering a warm and friendly atmosphere. This split-level configuration adds an interesting dimension to the space, allowing for more intimate dining areas.
Mandatory discovery:
One of the notable points of the Modjo restaurant is its obligatory discovery menu. While this may provide an exciting culinary adventure for some, others may lament the lack of flexibility in choosing dishes. This format imposes a certain rigidity which may not suit all palates.
Quality of dishes:
The dishes served at Modjo elicit mixed reactions. On the one hand, the soup, which is often a starter dish, did not live up to expectations. Its lack of flavor and depth of taste can be a disappointment to those who enjoy well-prepared soups. Likewise, the desserts failed to impress, lacking creativity and taste.
Culinary highlights:
However, there are aspects of Modjo's cooking that are worth highlighting. The bread, served as desired, is exceptionally good. Its freshness and texture make it a delicious accompaniment that complements other dishes well. In addition, the sweet treats offered at the end of the meal are a pleasant surprise, adding a sweet touch to round off the culinary experience.
Accessibility:
An important negative point to mention is the accessibility of the toilets. These are not suitable for people with disabilities, which can be a major problem for affected customers. Additionally, the fact that there are no separate toilets for men and women may be perceived as a lack of comfort and privacy.
Gluten free:
A positive aspect to note is that Modjo accepts gluten-free requests, which shows consideration for the specific dietary needs of its customers. This allows those following a gluten-free diet to fully enjoy their meal without worrying about cross-contamination issues.

Very nice and cozy place. The service is very good, they are very friendly. It is not a 100% gluten-free place, but they have a menu where you can find dishes that are gluten-free and those that can be adapted. It is nice to find places where gluten-free dishes are clearly indicated. It is worth highlighting how good the banana bread was (gluten-free dessert).
Great terrace vibes and quick service make for a lovely evening spot, plus a menu that caters to diverse tastes.

I ate a gluten-free pasta with truffles, cream of mushrooms and burrata. I really complimented the waiter on the cooking of the gluten-free pasta because it was perfect (I was afraid it would be overcooked), difficult to find even in Italy honestly...
However, the dish wasn't bad at all!
Cosy, good and small selection of cakes (gluten free options) and food but well executed. Simple and delicious. I rate the fondant au chocolat.
Staff are super!

Excellent coffee and a happy wife due to the gluten free friendly options. Didn’t get the chance, but would have loved to tried Paulette for breakfast.

Valentine's Day dinner booked online on their website about 15 days in advance communicating the need for gluten and lactose free dishes. Upon arrival we reminded the owner of this again and he reassured us. The food is of excellent quality, beautiful dishes, tasty. Unfortunately, however, when serving the second course I was presented with a roast in a puff pastry crust so I asked the waiter for clarification who didn't even understand the simple phrase: "is it gluten-free?". From that moment the kitchen mobilizes to offer me an alternative (excellent like the rest of the dinner) too bad that in the meantime my husband has finished his second course.
No discount will be added to the bill, nor will there be a free digestive. I would add that a bottle of sparkling water costs €8 (our fault is for not having checked the price of water before). Conclusion: the food is excellent, prices high not for the quality but for the superficial and approximate service considering that we don't speak French but the waiter doesn't speak a word of English... but we are the customers!
Pancakes here are a crowd-pleaser, with quick service and a laid-back vibe that keeps everyone coming back for more.

I came to brunch with my friends,
the pancakes are tasty, I loved the “gavé bordelais”
the team listens and knows how to adapt quickly (I forgot to mention that I was eating gluten-free and it was no problem for them to make me the pancakes at the last minute.)
thank you again for this moment!

Small restaurant in a great place with outdoor seating. Food looked great for non celiacs.
I have symptomatic celiac disease and have to follow a strict gluten-free diet. The waitress asked for me and there were three gluten-free options
1. Red Curry
2. Bon He
3. Tam Belly
If you have celiac disease, please be super careful and ask again, even if it is uncomfortable.
I was first brought a dish for which, when I asked, the chef wasn't sure whether they had used soy sauce containing gluten. So they swapped the dish again.
I tolerated the food well afterwards, but without sauce it was okay, but not super tasty either.
A local favorite, this charming cafe offers a delightful atmosphere with sweet treats and great drinks that keep visitors coming back for more.

Since we didn't want to have brunch because they didn't have gluten-free options, they pretty much asked us to have breakfast on the terrace (in December) with the bar practically empty.
There were 6 of us and we ordered coffees with regular milk and one with oat milk, insisting that two of the people in the group needed gluten-free options for both food and drinks. They gave the coffee with oat milk to my celiac friend saying it was coffee with milk (she realized because she tried it). NEFASTA allergen control.
Experience a unique blend of elegant and complex flavors in a warm setting that makes every visit unforgettable!

Small ice cream shop in a great place.
As I have symptomatic celiac disease, I have to eat strictly gluten-free. There is a digital allergen list and many gluten-free options.
I ate two scoops of
- caramel
- banana-chocolate
and tolerated them very well. Delicious ice cream, I'd love to come back.
Unfortunately, the ice cream looked so good that I only took a picture while eating it and not before.
2 scoops were 5,50€
A very good place for a quick lunch.
Your choice of vegetable lasagna, savory cakes and croque monsieur which vary depending on the day. All always accompanied by a salad composed of vegetables but also fruit.
The cookies are exceptional (dark, milk, white chocolate, gluten-free...).
You can have lunch inside with a few well-chosen books. At the moment, a few tables available on the square facing the cathedral.
Enjoy a top-notch experience with exceptional service and a prime location that guarantees a fantastic time, no matter your preferences.

The food was fantastic, the wine was fabulous. The girlfriend was seething from riding on the back of my motorcycle along the A10 for 125miles at 130kph, but was entirely mollified by the gluten free options*. In short: a triumph.
We were delayed in being seated, but the staff went out of their way to ensure we were cared for in the mean-time and provided us with a free aperitif, so they are not losing any marks there. Again, I triumphed, the girlfriend triumphed and the restaurant was a triumph. I was also riding a Triumph!
*gluten free options were inherent in the menu without any compromises.

Excellent brunch, hearty in a very friendly setting. You should remember to book.
The service team is very friendly, the quality of the food is very good. A small display error (gluten-free) for a banana bread which ultimately was not, fortunately without any real impact.

Café Horace, a few minutes walk from the lively center of Rue Sainte-Catherine, ideal for enjoying a coffee while getting away from the crowds. The little snacks there are homely and generous.
It's also a great place if you want to come and work there for an afternoon, while enjoying a coffee and a small pastry. The coffees offered are truly excellent and the prices remain relatively reasonable considering the quality offered.
In addition, there are also gluten-free products, an undeniable asset which, in my opinion, should be standard in all cafes these days.

One of the best restaurants in Bordeaux. My partner and me, we had the pleasure to enjoy the food at Terre Emeraude in August this year and it was delicious. Even for me as a celiac who has to eat glutenfree, the restaurant offered me several options and nearly everything was without gluten. Thank you so much for an unbelievable food experience. We will definitely come back next time we are in Bordeaux. All the best for you and big hugs from us ❤️

A real taste pleasure! We celebrated our civil wedding in Chicoula this weekend and it was truly perfect. Between the welcome, the wines, and of course the tasting menu, we were spoiled. Exceptional, innovative and beautiful dishes. Plus they made us feel really special with some little personal touches that made our day memorable. A gluten-free among us, the chef had prepared such a good menu for him.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our meal. Thank you so much!!

Tasty cuisine, bistronomic quality. Staff very knowledgeable about allergies and food intolerance, particularly gluten. Several gluten-free dishes and starters (grilled fish, steak, salmon tartare). The manager very kindly checks with the cook that the dishes, including the sauces, comply with the allergy or intolerance reported. Thanks to them! We will come back with pleasure.

Perfect for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner. Very delicious pasta, rice or quinoa salads that you can customize with many ingredients and different sauces. You can eat there or take away. It is perfect for eating gluten-free, they have an allergen table available and many options. They attended to us perfectly in English and Spanish. They are very nice. I recommend it!!!
A great restaurant, the interior is very surprising but really beautiful and interesting. The staff is very professional and very friendly. They are attentive to gluten allergies and have alternatives in place. The menu was delicious and pairing each dish with a different wine really makes it a taste experience. 20/20! I highly recommend this restaurant where we were delighted from the starter to the dessert, including the cocktails. All the dishes were really tasty! Beautiful Mediterranean cuisine just the way we like it. It was a real favorite for me and with a gluten-free diet, I was able to find what I was looking for without any worries. Thank you again for this delicious meal served yesterday!
Very nice hotel, small but elegant modern and very clean rooms, the only shocking flaw is the shower with opening towards the outside and without the base, the water goes everywhere.
Every comfort in the room, except the balconies which DO NOT exist
Perfect breakfast, rich and very inviting, even for celiacs.
Very kind receptionists
