I have Celiac Disease and can be so easily accommodated in this restaurant. I enjoyed the most delicious poutine while my husband enjoyed (as he described) the best cheese burger he has ever eaten. I am not from Sault Ste Marie but I can guarantee, I will be back to this restaurant on every visit as I travel through the area.

Amazingly tasty food, very friendly service and reasonable prices. The gluten-free Nanaimo bars taste just like the regular ones. Original, beautiful artwork is on the walls. Coffee is quite good too. Love the place!

Me and my friend had a great first time here! Food and Service was excellent. I think her name was kiera. Very accomodating with food allergies. If your gluten free like me your very limited in what you can have but almost everything on their menu they can make gluten free. Im definitely coming back :)

We went for a birthday. I have always had a great experience at Giovanni's. My recent experience was less then great. I had some lifestyle changes baby and recent celiac diagnosis. Went for a birthday. The music was blaring very loudly it was too loud for a baby, even the adults were complaining. The waitress assured they can do a celiac friendly meal saying she was celiac herself. I was a bit skeptical because it is primarily a pasta restaurant. I Ordered grilled chicken with risotto. When the meal came there was pasta pieces in the risotto. So definitely cross contamination in the kitchen. I can't justify giving a bad score because this was one of my favorite places to eat. It's unfortunate I won't be able to enjoy it going forward.

I love this place! Staff are always smiling and friendly. I am there often and the food has never let us down, nor has the service. I usually go in with my family and they are happy to see our little guy and he likes the quesadillas! Tried the new B box today and it was great. The pulled pork is my favourite! It is also a good place for someone with celiac or gluten intolerance, lots of options are available.

Even in the coldest winter it tastes like spring with every bite. There's presently renovations ongoing in the large section which we are excited for for our family to view and partake in when it is open in the large section. For now there's a small section open that can still seat plenty and it is so so so very pretty within. You will LOVE it and possibly gasp as we did! I don't take pictures, but imagine cherry blossom tree theme and cherry blossom pink colour with sword grey. It's a beautiful mixture of colours for just you alone, you on a date, an outing with a coworker for lunch or dinner, or a special or regular outing. The food is AMAZING. If you have gluten sensitivities there's a menu for you. If you're not into meat there's food for you. If you're a meat eater there's a plate too just for you. I have never had such a burst of flavours in my mouth or be thinking about a restaurant's food for days in anticipation to taste it again until now. It is a gem!! The food is filling and tastes fresh and looks fresh and the presentation is gorgeous. I could go on. Each recipe has been personally crafted with care and deliberation to ingredients and flavours by the owner and her staff is highly skilled in recreating the taught recipes (We were nosy and asked lol, we were becoming obsessed with the food). You will not taste identical similar dishes anywhere else, at least we have yet to. The service of the staff is always with a smile and pleasant and the owner and servers make great effort to know your name and refer to you by it for a more personalized touch which is really great. It really goes a long way. Also they make their own Vietnamese ham here and its added usually to the meat soups in a delicate slice. It's fresh and tastes SO good. It's not tofu! Highly recommend if you are a local or just passing through. I recommend at least 1 appetizer with your main and it is worth it. You'll leave highly satisfied and knowing you will return! A++++++ establishment.

If you have a gluten tolerance or are Celiac do not order from here. I called in advance to verify that items could be done gluten free, they said yes. When food was ordered I took two bites of the taco before I realized it was a flour tortilla. There’s also gluten in the queso and gluten in the spices used on all the meat. So I spent a bunch of money, got sick and I did by due diligence by calling ahead. I’ve heard if you don’t have a gluten allergy the food is great lol

Ernie's offers fine dining-quality food in a cozy, vintage diner. I requested something gluten-free and dairy-free, and the chef invented an incredible fried trout over dill radish salad for me. This place has excellent hospitality and the best food for miles around.

Had a fabulous dinner here tonight with my husband and brother. Really enjoyed the warm olives, bangers and mash, as well as the scotch pie. I am celiac and dairy intolerant and they modified my bangers and mash meal to perfectly meet my dietary restrictions. Incredible meal and service!

Great find in the Sault. An extensive menu, be that as it may, everything was fresh! I had the pickerel with gluten-free penne in a pesto sauce, and my daughter had the spinach and feta pizza on gluten-free crust. Really generous portions. Loved it, Would come back again if passing this way. Our server Amanda was great, the house was busy but she found the time to acknowledge us and check in throughout the meal.

Amazing customer service! I had an issue with one of the previous dishes I had ordered and the owner went above and beyond to rectify it. I tried the gluten free pad thai and it was delicious. There was a great mix of meat and vegetables and the sauce had a great flavor. I'm glad we tried Noodlebox :)

I've been wishing for a place that served real hard shell tacos. I had no clue that this place was in the Soo. Plus it has gluten free options (I have a gluten allergy) I had 3 hardshell ground beef tacos with chips and queso (all gluten free). It was exactly what I was wishing for. I found my go to taco place!

Absolutely delicious the waitress was so sweet and knew exactly what celiac disease was and what I could and could not have. The cooks were amazing when it came to my order they knew to wash their hands in between make sure there was no cross contamination and even when they accidentally messed up my order and contaminated it they didn’t even let it out of the kitchen they remade completely and made a gluten free cake because they felt horrible about it. Will definitely be back again.

They were wonderful for accommodating my gluten allergy and the food was mostly delicious! The only thing was that there were hard pieces of skin in the smoked salmon (in the Philadelphia roll). I bit down on too many in that roll and it hurt. I feel like for the price, maybe just abit more attention to detail so this doesn't happen again. Otherwise it was good!

I have a lot of allergies, gluten, spices, I'm one of the most annoying customers to serve in a restaurant. My fiance wanted to find a place I could eat out that had a nicer atmosphere, and he brought me here. I cannot believe how patient and accommodating our server was, she must've been back and forth to the kitchen checking things half a dozen times. She was great at helping me figure out what I could safely eat. If I could give more than five stars for service, I would!

The food is okay. On the upside they've got gluten-free toast and gluten-free batter for pancakes and waffles. The downside is that it's a very loud dining room, and just way too expensive for the quality of food that they're serving. My wife and I went there for breakfast, and after we both got a tea and our own entrees, with tip it was still over $60. I'm not opposed to spending $60 for breakfast, but that wasn't a $60 breakfast. I don't think we're going to eat there again.

Wow, the food was SO good (chicken parm sandwich and gnocchi bolognese). Toddler approved! They were incredibly friendly and it was clean in there. I was surprised by how many homemade pasta options they had in the freezer and shelves, including gluten free.

Staff is always beyond friendly and welcoming. Seriously, these are the best burritos ever, they do not disappoint. They are massive burritos, and they do not skimp on the toppings, they load them right up. I tried gluten free burrito and it was delicious.

Fun experience on July 4th. 2/3 members at the table agreed the food was good. The 1 that did not, had to wait an excessive amount of time for something that should have arrived with the meal. Thus going cold by the time they received it. Service could have been more attentive but otherwise very personable and friendly. Celiac notice, the menu states "Gluten Friendly" not "Gluten Free." Staff did point out that items that would be less likely to be contaminated. So ask.

Finally, a restaurant with mediterranean dishes here in Sault Ste. Marie. My husband and I both got the gluten-free stuffed chicken, which was one of the best stuffed chickens I've ever had. I really enjoyed the open kitchen aspect of this place, it was entertaining to watch our food being prepared. It was nice to see a menu that caters to everyone's dietary preferences and restrictions.
