Gluten-free review on Pane E Vino Pizzeria from the 4/14/2024.
Their gluten-free pizza can be made with any of their flavor combinations, or your own.
It is not listed on their website, so my husband asked as we walked in.
It was a gorgeous day with a packed VBCC and there was also an event in the park. Thankfully we got right in, and seated out on the covered patio.
Service was excellent, even with the huge line out the door.
Pizza arrived In a timely manner.
Listen y'all, I had to confirm that it was gluten free because it was so freaking good! I asked about the crust and everything!
It's tender and bendy. I was so impressed. Note that the sauce has a bit of heat to it, but I loved it.
Highly recommend. Lastly, if you love it like we did, leave an awesome tip too.🍕

The crepes are gluten free and amazing! There are only a couple topping you can't have if you are GF. But they will substitute sauces to a GF one of you ask. My favorite place to eat.
An inviting spot with a cozy vibe, offering a well-prepared menu and accommodating service that leaves diners eager to return.

Food: I really don’t understand how this place has a 4.4 rating. It’s literally the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to since moving to Huntsville. Everything was so well prepared. The mussels were delicious and I don’t know of any place that does them like this. Also, the carbonara was delicious and gluten-free was available.
Service: Mason was amazing! He was so attentive and the sweetest!
Overall: 10/10

Great, as always. Really enjoyed their gluten-free pizza. Didn't have a reaction at all, not even a little, which is a first, even for gluten-free pizza.

Had dinner with a friend who lives in Huntsville while visiting. We ended up picking the place because of the extensive GF options, including a GF baguette you can get with the charcuterie!
I'll start with the fact that our food was wonderful. The meatballs are gluten free! They were honestly big enough for a meal in themselves. We also ordered the duck fat frites, and I need to just buy a jar of curry ketchup for the house. I always forget how wonderful it is, and it perfectly complemented the fries, which were hot and crisp up on arrival at the table.
We also ordered the Farmers market plate, which is just a whole bunch of roasted vegetables and absolutely delicious. It's a great balance to the heaviness of the apps we got. We ended the evening with the flourless chocolate torte, and it was superb. My Hugo spritzer was also crisp and refreshing.
But here's where I shift to the service...
The place was pretty busy, so our only options were at the bar or outside on the patio. We chose the patio because it's finally cooling off a little bit and we love to eat outside!
As others have said, the patio service was not great. Very long gaps between visits from our server and poorly timed food delivery.
When we sat down, we needed a moment to look at the menu. We got water and decided and then waited. And waited. And waited.
We actually ordered all three items and I believe our drinks other than water at the same time because it had been so long since we had seen our server.
We sort of expected from a nicer restaurant that the timing would be spaced, especially given the very very tiny table we were sat at, but all of our food came out at the same time. Even the food runner struggled to help us fit everything on the table, and we still had not seen our server really since he had taken our order.
When the food was deposited at the table, we discovered that we were missing the chicken we asked for on the farmers plate. We made the decision to just leave it off because all of the other dishes were so large, and I'm glad we did. We left full and were able to eat dessert because of it haha.
Our server came back a while after that ordeal was settled and then asked if we were missing some chicken. We had to go through the whole thing again saying that it was fine to leave it off. But we were already halfway done with the appetizers when he came by.
A different food runner cleared our empty plates, and we were honestly about to walk inside to find our check and leave when our server finally came back and asked us if we wanted dessert. We had just enough time and decided to get some dessert but definitely asked for the check when he dropped off the dessert because we were not sure when we would ever see him again. We didn't even really look at the check; we just handed him our cards and asked him to split the check down the middle.
We had a reservation at 8 we didn't want to miss.
Honestly, a place she and I will definitely return when I'm in Huntsville; however, we will definitely get a reservation and sit inside where the service will hopefully be much much better.
Casual vibe with outdoor seating, offering a variety of delicious pizzas and a fun build-your-own option that's a hit with locals.

NOT GLUTEN FREE!
This place is on the lower side of mediocre. The store is dirty. The windows were disgusting, and the sneeze shield hasn't been cleaned in months.
If you're gluten free due to celiac or other medical conditions, do not eat here. The cross contamination is very heavy.
The pizza tasted good, but the service was pretty horrible. The slices were cut extremely uneven which demonstrates a lack of care for the product.
Enjoy affordable prices in an unexpectedly high-end ambience at this top spot in Huntsville, and remember to make a reservation on weekends!

I recently visited Another Broken Egg Cafe in Huntsville, AL, and I was thoroughly impressed! As a vegetarian, it can be challenging to find good options when dining out, but this restaurant exceeds the expectation. They have an entire vegetarian menu, and they’re very accommodating about making adjustments to items on the regular menu as needed. They also have a gluten free menu.
We went early on a Sunday morning, before the crowd that often comes prior to church services. The place was quiet and peaceful, which made for a very enjoyable dining experience.
I ordered the Southwest Scramble, removed the meat, and added spinach and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious! To enhance the flavor, I requested sour cream and hot sauce, which were the perfect finishing touches. The breakfast potatoes were a standout—perfectly crisp and wonderfully seasoned.
As someone who loves lemon in my water, I was thrilled when my waitress brought me plenty, just as I requested. She was very attentive, promptly refilling our drinks and water throughout the meal.
There was a small mix-up when someone at our table ordered an item not realizing it included bacon. The mistake wasn’t the waitress’s fault—it was ordered incorrectly—but she still apologized sincerely and replaced the dish quickly without any hassle.
While the food and service were fantastic, it’s worth noting that the meal was a bit on the expensive side, costing about $20 per person. However, the quality of the food and the excellent service made it a special occasion option.
Another Broken Egg Cafe is a great spot for a delicious breakfast or brunch, especially if you’re looking for vegetarian-friendly options.

My wife and I must eat gluten-free. We heard from someone that Red Robin had gluten-free buns, so we went by to see. Not only do they have GF burgers but also a host of other dishes. Destiny was our server, and she was great. She was very knowledgeable about the GF items. I had a Monster Burger, and Barbara had a RR Cheese Burger. We both had fries. All was well cooked and fresh. We will return to try some more GF dishes.

I travel for work frequently and one advantage is having my wife with me on my business trips. With her gluten allergy it can be difficult but we have found ways around this. When we find a place that can make virtually anything gluten free, some of her favorite items that she can't have other places, she was able to find here - I call this a success. The food is delicious and the service was fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen anyone tear up over being able to have a spring roll. We will be back as many times as we can.
I can never say enough good things about this restaurant. First off, the service is absolutely spot-on and you cannot imagine how quick it is! They are always super friendly and helpful. My most recent trip, Caesar was on top of everything from my coffee to taking my order. He always seemed to know exactly when I was needing a top off or a fill up of my coffee. And every experience I've had with this restaurant is similar! Next, their food is beyond anything you could imagine. My wife has celiac disease and they have a wonderful gluten-free menu. We are also vegetarian and they accommodate in just about every way we ask. My particular favorite is the Floridian minus the crab meat. Additionally, their season potatoes are absolutely fabulous.
Experience a cozy vibe with a modern twist, offering a diverse menu that showcases authentic Indian dishes and attentive service.

The food pictures and rating is why I decided to try this place. It did not disappoint! Food was fresh and well seasoned. This may be the best coffee in Huntsville! I used to stop at Honest in Nashville and was thrilled when they opened one up in my hometown. This is high quality coffee that I only take away the star for how expensive it is, and the charge for a non-dairy milk.
As someone with dairy sensitivity and a husband with a severe dairy allergy, it is frustrating when places that are already pricy charge extra for something you cannot go without.
Other than that, the vibe here is so cozy and is always busy. I love that they also carry some Mason Dixon gluten free pastries!
While I can’t afford it daily, this is always a fun stop when I want a special coffee.
Expect a unique vibe with amazing food, but be ready for some quirky rules and mixed vibes from the service.

They don’t answer their phones, which is disappointing and if you do a pick up order they make you give them your card number to order it? I asked why and told her I was on the road and couldn’t give a card number and she said she would get in trouble for doing that? So if you are busy and prefer to pay in person, you will need to pay up front for a take out order- never heard that before. Silly rule. Shows they don’t trust their customers to pick up the food. The lady I spoke to was kind of rude too, put me on hold multiple times. The food is amazing though and I think this makes up for the poor service and the way they treat their customers. If you ask for gluten free pizza, it’s a smaller size and they don’t offer a lot of other options. Seemed like an inconvenience to even ask for gluten free. I called on a Friday afternoon to pick up dinner and the phone kept going to voicemail. You also can’t do an online order.

Fun, eclectic environment. Good Guac & queso. Pineapple/Mandarin slaw was a tasty twist. Non-dairy cilantro yogurt was a nice change since I can’t usually eat sauces like this. If you are gluten free, beware of the blackened salmon; it has some type of breading and is deep fried. It tasted really good, but not gluten friendly.

I rarely share reviews of places unless it’s exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. In this case, it was bad. It was around 9:30 on a Sunday night so maybe that would be a reason? Servers were nice, the appetizers were half off and they were good, but the part that churned my stomach was the stack of plates they brought out with the appetizers. The whole stack had standing water and small particles of food on every single one of them! We just had to eat with paper towels.
The actual meals was not good. My patty melt was dry and just unimpressive, I didn’t even eat it all. My husband’s heat wave burger had burnt bacon and he said it just was terrible overall. Our gluten free friend had the gluten free bun burger and it came out with burnt bacon also and on sliced bread? They didn’t even say anything about it until they heard her comment about it and they just said yeah, we are out of the buns and walked off.
For $150+ for 2 small families, we got dirty dishes and just burnt, tasteless food. I won’t be back unless it’s a have to situation.
Plus side is they have a gluten free menu! I thought that was good!
I love the hot sandwiches here. The have very good bread options, even gluten free. And kids eat free on Fridays from 5 to 9. They have Stubborn cream soda and root beer. Super good. Staff was friendly and the dining room was clean.

The food is great, but the customer service was terrible. I honestly don’t understand why others claim the service is good.
When my mom tried to order ramen with gluten-free noodles, the guy behind the counter asked, “Is she really gluten-free?” I responded, “Yes, she has a sensitivity to gluten.” He then tried to outsmart us when she asked if she could order ramen and simply swap the wheat noodles for gluten-free ones. He said something along the lines of, “Well, I can’t guarantee the broth is gluten-free, because everything has gluten in it.” He came across as incredibly ignorant and rude. I couldn’t believe it.
First of all, gluten intolerance exists on a spectrum. The severity of symptoms varies from person to person. My mother should not have to explain or prove that she has a health condition — it’s none of their business. Their only responsibility is to prepare and serve food based on what they offer on the menu. If they only serve gluten-free noodles to customers with severe gluten sensitivity, that should be clearly stated — maybe with a sign or a menu symbol. But questioning a customer’s condition and then trying to be a smart-ass about the broth being “full of gluten” is completely unprofessional and disrespectful! No, not everything contains gluten.
That is the last time I will ever eat at that place. Yes, the food is good, but it’s not good enough to justify dealing with arrogant and disrespectful staff acting like they know more than the customer.
Also, if they only offer gluten-free noodles in chicken broth, how can anyone be sure that the broth is truly gluten-free? Even if they make it themselves, how do we know the chicken was raised, processed, and handled in a gluten-free facility? That’s where cross-contamination can happen — and it’s a serious concern for people with severe allergies, not just intolerance.
If the restaurant wants to take it that far, it calls into question the integrity of their gluten-free ramen. Is it truly meant for people with severe gluten intolerance? Are they sourcing every ingredient from certified gluten-free facilities? Or is it just a marketing tactic aimed at health-conscious customers like my mother — all while subjecting them to unnecessary interrogation and making themselves appear accommodating and inclusive?

I've eaten here twice. I had the honey pecan gluten free chicken schnitzel, not sure if that's the name but it was really great. Great food but it seems like they don’t have the best customer service. I ordered gluten free pasta for my husband and I and when we picked up our order they included breadsticks? That is kind of inconsiderate in my opinion someone that is avoiding gluten and orders two gluten free pastas and you are going to add gluten infested breadsticks? Wow.

Meat was good. They give you a thimble of sauce and want you to pay extra for more. My boys didn’t like the boiled peanuts. Unfortunately, I don’t return to places that batter their fries. There is no reason to put breading on a perfectly good potato. It soaks up more oil, adds gluten, and ruins the flavor. I hope they change this menu item. I will be happy to return when they do.
